Incredible! I came to this magnificent restaurant, and honestly, I have nothing but praise. I think it's the best meat I've ever eaten in any restaurant in the world, I'm not even exaggerating. I recommend it 100%! We're not from the country at all, but the staff makes an effort to communicate with us, which is really great. I'll definitely come back just for this restaurant 😂

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this restaurant. The first thing that really bothered us was the foul smell in the restaurant. There was a truly unpleasant odor. Additionally, the chairs were incredibly dirty, especially the round, bench-like chairs around the round tables. They looked very unkempt and unhygienic, which was absolutely not pleasant. As for the food: the quality itself was not bad. But what really disappointed us was the huge difference between the photo on the menu and what we actually received. One of the dishes we ordered was pictured on the menu on a large platter containing, among other things, two burgers, two portions of rice, and various other items. In the photo, it clearly looked as if the dish was intended for at least two people. However, when the food was finally served, we received only one plate with an amount that was clearly suitable for one person. If you show such large portions on the menu, I think the dish you actually serve should correspond reasonably well to them. All in all, our experience was unfortunately not positive due to the unpleasant smell, the dirty chairs, and the significant difference between the photo and the food actually served.

The food itself was fine, but the price was on the high side, especially considering the restaurant's location. I ordered spareribs. They were okay, but for 32 euros I expected more in terms of taste and quality. The dessert was really tasty though. The staff was very friendly. The music was a bit too loud for my taste. Nice for a one-time visit, but not something I would repeat.

I have had the pleasure of tasting all sorts of things at Meqan by now, and every time I am pleasantly surprised. The dishes are delicious, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. You can taste that attention and love have gone into the food. What I particularly like is that there are so many different flavors and dishes to discover. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious and has made me curious about the rest of the menu every time. 😍 A beautiful place with tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. Had a delicious meal at Restaurant Meqan! The atmosphere is nice and quiet and relaxed, allowing you to really eat at your ease. But the absolute highlight for me was the meat. Honestly, one of the tastiest cuts of meat I have ever eaten. Not only was it incredibly tender, but the taste was especially amazing: a real taste explosion in your mouth. It is also nice that you can park for free, which is definitely a plus these days. Highly recommended, and we will certainly be back!

The tastiest restaurant I've had in the Netherlands

Saturday 5:00 PM, reserved on recommendation #out with Has. Neat, clean place. Outdoor terrace available, which we also made use of. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and super attentive. So no waiting or waving to be noticed (very important). We ordered the starters: mini Angus burgers (the patty was so juicy); the sticky chicken wings were also delicious. The beef tacos were tasty, but for me, the filling was too wet. My son loved them. The meat platter exceeded our expectations... the meat is so tender and juicy, even the chicken versions. The salmon was cooked just right and flavorful. The side dishes (salad/fries/rice) included with the main courses were tasty. The vegetables (broccoli/carrot) were just slightly undercooked. For me, the seasoning for the fries could be sprinkled on a little less, but again, my son thought it was just right. The mocktails we ordered: watermelon/strawberry/blue lagoon, were all surprisingly good. We did order the strawberries again, though 😉👌. We will most definitely be coming back here.

What a fantastic experience! If you are in the Netherlands, MEQAN is a place you really cannot miss. From the very first moment you notice that the staff cares about their guests. The service was professional, warm and genuinely welcoming – you feel really appreciated. An extra plus is the free parking, which makes the visit even smoother. The prices are also very reasonable considering the high quality you get. But what really impressed me the most was the food. I can say without exaggeration that it was a 10 out of 10. Each plate was carefully prepared with great attention to detail, and you can tell that the kitchen puts both passion and pride into each dish served. The flavors were amazing and the presentation was on a level that many much more expensive restaurants could have envied. Another thing that surprised me positively was the espresso. It is not often that you get really good coffee in a restaurant, but here the espresso was absolutely fantastic and was the perfect end to an already fantastic meal. I would like to extend a big thank you to the people responsible and the entire team behind MEQAN. You manage to make a restaurant visit a complete experience that will be remembered for a long time. We will definitely come back the next time we pass through the Netherlands – even if it means a detour of several hours. That really says it all. Many thanks for an unforgettable experience!

The prices were very high. We started with the garlic butter shrimps, but they had hardly any flavor. Additionally, the entire plate was covered in oil, which made us feel nauseous. Next, we ordered the charcuterie board. We were astonished by how little we received per person, and the meat and chicken were also very bland and tasteless. It honestly felt like a waste of money. The worst part was that after arriving home, we suffered from diarrhea and severe stomach pain all evening and night. We still felt unwell the next day as well. For these prices, we really expected quality, but unfortunately, we received tasteless food that, moreover, seemed to have led to severe gastrointestinal issues. A very disappointing experience.

The food and dessert were okay, not very special but good enough. The price was high though; we paid €236 for four people. For this price, I expected better service; the service was very poor. The four of us had to order from a single tablet. There was no explanation of the concept or how to use it. We then asked another employee for an explanation, and she helped us well. Once ordered, we received a mixed meze in the middle. Cutlery was already provided, but we had to ask another employee for a plate for each of us. After the main course, we asked for Turkish tea, as it is very normal at Turkish restaurants for tea to be served on the house. We were told that we had to order that via the tablet as well. So we did, but to our great surprise, we saw that we had to pay for that too. We complained about this to one of the employees, but were told that this is their new concept and that they no longer want to be seen as a Turkish restaurant (but you do serve Turkish tea, and your establishment has a Turkish name??). That was really just an answer to get your mouth opened and make a fuss. She also mentioned that if we wanted, they could deduct it from the bill. Why do you think we are complaining about the payment for the tea? When the desserts were served, we had to ask for cutlery again afterwards, from yet another employee. When settling at the checkout, we saw that they hadn't deducted the tea. I will never come here again and will not recommend this place to anyone.

They bring food even though there is no cutlery? You have to ask for cutlery yourself? They can't handle the tablet, so wrong orders come in and you get food you didn't order... the service is absolutely terrible, really. I'm amazed how it scores so high... people, save your money.

Not very hospitable. Not welcome either. Or explaining that you have to look at the QR menu. I was waiting for a menu. If your plate is a bit empty, they immediately take it off the table, without asking if you enjoyed it. The only contact was when paying the bill when he said “thank you” 🤣 The food itself was fine, nothing very special.

I ate here today and visit weekly. When our food arrived, I asked if I could get a small bowl of garlic sauce for the calamari as a starter. The waitress indicated that I had to order this via the tablet, which I did immediately. After about fifteen minutes, I asked where the sauce was. Again, I was told that I had to order it via the tablet. When I indicated that I had already done so, it was confirmed that the order had indeed been received. This concerns a simple bowl of sauce, whereas we paid €145 that evening. Eventually, the garlic sauce only arrived after about twenty minutes, by which time my calamari had become cold and I could no longer eat it. Nevertheless, the dish was charged in full. I found that very disappointing, especially since I come here regularly. I would advise a more customer-oriented approach to these types of requests, especially when a customer has to ask for the same thing multiple times and then has to wait a long time for it.

We visit Meqan almost every week. This is one of the few restaurants that really gives you value for money! The quality is simply WOW and the portions are really great.

The food here was okay. All those influencers making videos here are sponsored; the hype is really nothing. The carpaccio is definitely recommended, but quite a lot of things were cold, e.g., the rice with the meqan platter and mini burger. What you pay here is not what you should get. It is presented nicely, but if taste is more important to you, I wouldn't recommend it.

In particular, I would like to mention Yasmine for her excellent hospitality and careful service. She contributed greatly to a pleasant atmosphere and a successful evening. I've eaten at Meqan multiple times and every visit was top-notch!

We had a truly delicious meal here. The burgers are especially good, as are the chicken starters. The ribs were also delicious, though I have eaten better ribs before. And the desserts (Hit Me & 24k Passion) were also unique and really flavorful. We had very little to complain about regarding the service either; they were nice people, responded quickly, and requests were granted promptly. Highly recommended! A bit more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for. Parking can be a bit tricky during busy times.

We had a super delicious meal at Meqan today. Everything was of excellent quality and the service was incredibly fast and friendly. My sincere compliments! My 2-year-old daughter couldn't sit still for a moment, but the waitstaff handled that very patiently and child-friendly. I appreciate that enormously. What a disgrace. We came here for a pleasant evening, but the service at Meken was below par. First of all: the order of the food was a mess. The starter was simply forgotten, and only after fifteen minutes, during the main course, were we asked if we "still wanted it." No, of course not. Secondly: the main courses arrived incomplete. The fries were completely missing, but the sauce was served, five minutes later. What good is sauce without fries? The final blow was the bill. After a long wait, we received a receipt listing three Cokes, even though we had only had two. This no longer feels like a minor mistake, but like pure inattention or even intent. Poor communication, disorganized service, and an incorrect receipt. Once is enough, never again. Save yourself the trouble and the money. I wrote this review using Chatgpt because they are not worth my time.

For the price you pay, I think you should expect a bit more in terms of quantity and presentation. All in all, it was okay, but not special enough to warrant a return visit. With a little more attention to detail in service and portion size, it could certainly leave a stronger impression.

The service is a shame. It starts right from the start. We tried to ask about our food and drinks several times, only to be forgotten again and again, and ultimately have to pay for them. No way. Poor teamwork. One waiter has no idea what the other is doing. Food is being placed on the wrong tables... the atmosphere was unpleasant, and the team couldn't handle the crowd. We left and went somewhere else to eat. Invest more in the service than trying to fill every table.

We had to wait over an hour for the main course to finally arrive, and only after we had checked with a staff member to see if our order had been placed correctly. While the food itself was tasty, it didn't completely make up for the experience. To make matters worse, the fries and salad arrived 5 to 10 minutes later, by which time we had already mostly finished our main course. The service was absolutely subpar, especially in terms of timing and communication. Staff members were milling around, but we didn't feel like we were being truly helped. The least they could have done was to let us know that it would take longer than usual. Regardless of whether it was busy or not, good communication is essential for professionalism. The atmosphere in the restaurant was otherwise fine, but the parking could also be improved. My advice: if you plan to eat here, avoid it during peak hours (if that was indeed the cause of the poor service).

Yesterday I ate here for my mother's birthday. A small table for three adults and two children. We asked for a different table, but it wasn't possible due to the crowd. The mocktails are nice drinks, but make sure they're flavorful and contain enough ingredients. The mojito barely had any mint in it, even after I asked for more. I had to walk to the bar because they weren't paying much attention to service due to the crowd. We ordered a meat platter for three people, which was brought to the table, and we had to ask for our plates ourselves, which took eight minutes. The meat was otherwise fine, but it got cold quickly. They didn't check if everything was okay, nor did they ask if we wanted another drink. The poor service definitely affected the atmosphere for us. We left early, and I won't be returning anytime soon.

She called to make a reservation, was told she'd receive a call back, but never did, and she still contacted them herself, and the employee was incredibly disrespectful. We'll never come here again, and I definitely don't recommend it. Service is top priority.

Charming restaurant, friendly service. We went for the "Meqan plate" for two, a beautiful dish you often see in photos here. A generous portion and a delicious meat "tasting." The various sauces, such as the chimichurri, are very flavorful and clearly homemade. The only downside is that this plate is a bit pricey: around €80 for two people. Hence the four stars instead of five. Otherwise, highly recommended! PS: We also noticed that we were the only "cheeseheads" there, but we felt right at home, and again, the service was very welcoming.

We're regulars, but this time we were very disappointed. The owner came to our table several times to tell us our time was almost up and that we had to leave because he had another reservation. This, while we were enjoying our meal. It was my son's birthday, and this attitude prevented us from enjoying it. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. It's a shame, because we always enjoyed coming here. Hopefully, they'll improve their service in the future.

The wait was long, and then it came in stages: two were able to eat, while the rest were still waiting. The waiters all stood around the bar, mostly interacting with each other. It gave a rather amateurish impression. No more Meqan for us, unfortunately.

On our girls night out, we decided to go to Meqan. The food was great and the service was good. We did have to wait longer for our table and even longer for our food because of the multiple birthday parties at the restaurant. But the service made up for it. The manager and the employees handled it very kindly and made up for the long wait. I do highly recommend to come and eat here because the food and service are worth it!

Recently ate at Meqan for the first time. There was a pleasant atmosphere, sufficient free parking (side of the building) and the food was very tasty. We had a tenderloin and as a starter the tacos with chicken. Everything well seasoned, exactly as we like it!! Finally, I had a latte macchiato, which was very tasty. Worth repeating as far as I'm concerned.
