The prices are not suitable for the location; the furniture is worn out.

The food was okay, the service was poor, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. Alcohol is not served. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

All I can say is the food is great. I can only say that anyone who is in the area should eat there at least once.

Yesterday I ate here for my mother's birthday. A small table for three adults and two children. We asked for a different table, but it wasn't possible due to the crowd. The mocktails are nice drinks, but make sure they're flavorful and contain enough ingredients. The mojito barely had any mint in it, even after I asked for more. I had to walk to the bar because they weren't paying much attention to service due to the crowd. We ordered a meat platter for three people, which was brought to the table, and we had to ask for our plates ourselves, which took eight minutes. The meat was otherwise fine, but it got cold quickly. They didn't check if everything was okay, nor did they ask if we wanted another drink. The poor service definitely affected the atmosphere for us. We left early, and I won't be returning anytime soon.

Incredibly antisocial! My friend wanted to make a reservation for her birthday for at least 10 people. She called to make a reservation, was told she'd receive a call back, but never did, and she still contacted them herself, and the employee was incredibly disrespectful. We'll never come here again, and I definitely don't recommend it. Service is top priority.

The food was delicious. The portions and prices were excellent for what you get. The restaurant also has a very atmospheric atmosphere. I definitely recommend it!

Charming restaurant, friendly service. We went for the "Meqan plate" for two, a beautiful dish you often see in photos here. A generous portion and a delicious meat "tasting." The various sauces, such as the chimichurri, are very flavorful and clearly homemade. The only downside is that this plate is a bit pricey: around €80 for two people. Hence the four stars instead of five. Otherwise, highly recommended! PS: We also noticed that we were the only "cheeseheads" there, but we felt right at home, and again, the service was very welcoming.

We're regulars, but this time we were very disappointed. The owner came to our table several times to tell us our time was almost up and that we had to leave because he had another reservation. This, while we were enjoying our meal. It was my son's birthday, and this attitude prevented us from enjoying it. Very unprofessional and unfriendly. It's a shame, because we always enjoyed coming here. Hopefully, they'll improve their service in the future.

The food is okay, but the service is poor on the phone and they don't serve beer.

What I found a shame was that you walk in and see all the crates of bottles. Everything feels very messy.

The waiter never listened and always brought the wrong orders. He brought normal tablespoons for dessert, we asked for a fork and waited 20 minutes and it was very expensive.

It was unnecessarily expensive. We were not satisfied with the service quality. The food was not hot. Would I go again? I wouldn't.

The decor is pleasant and cozy. The food wasn't exceptional, and the service was very poor. There were six of us. The wait was long, and then it came in stages: two were able to eat, while the rest were still waiting. The waiters all stood around the bar, mostly interacting with each other. It gave a rather amateurish impression. No more Meqan for us, unfortunately.

Delicious food, great service, and a great atmosphere. At first, I thought it was pricey when I looked at the menu, but considering everything you get, it's surprisingly reasonable! We ordered a meat platter at Meqan, but what a disappointment. The tenderloin was as hard as a brick, the spare ribs had a terrible odor, and the rack of lamb was anything but good. The fries had been fried far too many times, making them taste more like greasy chips. The atmosphere is nice, but the food was absolutely terrible! The service was also terrible! Our group of nine decided: never again.

On our girls night out, we decided to go to Meqan. The food was great and the service was good. We did have to wait longer for our table and even longer for our food because of the multiple birthday parties at the restaurant. But the service made up for it. The manager and the employees handled it very kindly and made up for the long wait. I do highly recommend to come and eat here because the food and service are worth it!

In addition, the service was excellent: attentive, friendly and always willing to think along without being pushy. You can tell that the team here really cares about the guests and their experience. In short, a place where you leave with a smile and immediately look forward to your next visit. Definitely worth 5 stars!

Nice restaurant and good food but incredibly expensive.

Food delivered cold. After I spoke to a person there, he indicated that the meat is prepared in advance, only warmed up briefly. During the meal, I was asked twice by different waiters to clean up... while literally 3 people were still eating. This is probably to free up the table.... Never again for me.

Recently ate at Meqan for the first time. There was a pleasant atmosphere, sufficient free parking (side of the building) and the food was very tasty. We had a tenderloin and as a starter the tacos with chicken. Everything well seasoned, exactly as we like it!! Finally, I had a latte macchiato, which was very tasty. Worth repeating as far as I'm concerned.

Had a delicious meal at Meqan today. Nice atmospheric restaurant. Meat was superb. Wonderfully tender, well seasoned and portions are good. The place was full and there were plenty of friendly and hospitable staff. Food and drinks arrived quickly after ordering. In short, a great experience and we will definitely come back again.

We always drive past it and finally decided to have dinner there. The outside looks a bit gloomy. Once inside the atmosphere is great! Friendly staff, good quality food. I set quite high standards to qualify a burger as a good, tasty burger. And this burger was really tasty. Juicy and not a standard factory taste. Really great! The portions were good too. So we will come here more often!

If customers ask for another table, try to listen. If it can't be done, then it can't be done. But it should be possible with a half-full restaurant.

Starters of tacos and lentil soup were tasty, but the main courses of lamb chop and chicken shashlik were disappointing. Our child's food came after we had finished our food. We had to ask 10 times but unfortunately no food for our child. Our child was so hungry but unfortunately her food was lost. Ordered extra drinks and did not receive them. Service needs to improve anyway. Unfortunately it wasn't a fun night out for us.

Our experience at Meqan restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. We had made a reservation online for four people and explicitly stated that we wanted the Meqan Plateau, as required. On the day itself we received a call from the restaurant to confirm our choice. During this conversation we were told that soup was included in the platter menu. However, upon arrival and after breaking the fast, it turned out that the soup was not served. While other tables had already received their soup, we had to ask for it specifically. We were eventually told that the soup was not included, which was at odds with the information provided over the phone. After some discussion we still got the soup. To our surprise, the Meqan Platter was not served, but we were given four separate plates. This was not as agreed and expected. In addition, two of the plates were missing some ingredients. In addition, we had to ask three times for a bottle of water before it was finally brought. While good service, especially during an iftar, is to be expected. The overall experience was messy and inconsistent. The prices were also on the high side. Communication with staff was unclear and inconsistent, which contributed to a less pleasant iftar experience. Too bad, because we had hoped for a well-organized and hospitable evening.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is mediocre. But speaking of the service... firstly, the servers speak little or no Dutch, secondly, I got the feeling that the servers were not only serving but were also looking for future partners at the same time?? While I come here to eat quietly. This creates an unpleasant atmosphere. 1 server (named Ahmed I suspect) went a little too far after being touched. Because of this I would certainly not feel safe eating here again, I would like action to be taken.

"A heart-warming experience in difficult times" Today I visited Restaurant MEQAN for my father who is terminally ill. We were hoping for Kofta, his favorite dish, but unfortunately it was sold out. To our great surprise and gratitude, the MEQAN team did everything they could to arrange a delicious meal for my father. Not only did they solve the problem, but they even offered it on the house. This unexpected act of kindness and compassion went beyond just a meal. It showed their genuine care and compassion during a difficult time for our family. The food itself was also delicious, but it's the exceptional service and friendly staff that really makes MEQAN special. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the entire MEQAN team. You have provided not only a culinary experience, but also a moment of warmth and support that we will never forget. May Allah reward you abundantly for your good deeds and hospitality.

One of the best Halal restaurants in Rotterdam 👌 A first for us last night, making it easier to park for free in a small sloping car park in front or behind the restaurant. Rather fast service after taking the order, a team of fairly young servers who do not lack experience. Tourists not speaking a word of Dutch, very little in English, the waiters all made an effort to try to understand us and often stopped by to ask if everything was ok. Concerning value for money, plan a budget of €50/60 per person for a starter/main course/dessert + a cocktail. Personally we shared a starter for two, quite copious, just like the main course, meat served with rice, vegetables, fries, a sauce as well as a plate of raw vegetables to share, difficult to finish everything but fortunately we can ask take away the rest. Big big plus for desserts and cocktails that are different from what you usually find and which are really very, very good! (recommendation for watermelon++). A substantial budget for a dinner that we do not regret, we will not fail to visit Meqan again during our next visit to Rotterdam 👌🤩

Cuisine 5/5 delicious, their exceptional sauce. The meat is exceptionally cooked. Professional server. Very good atmosphere just the price €84 a platter a little too light for this price a burger, a cotellete, a quarter of ribs per person seems light to me only negative point.

On December 12, we organized a team farewell at Meqan, and it was, in a word, fantastic! The room upstairs was perfect for our occasion: there was plenty of space, privacy, the option to bring your own drinks, and music. A big compliment to all employees. What hospitable, friendly and thoughtful people! The service was top notch and always with a smile. We can be brief about the food: The team enjoyed the delicious burgers and the tasty meat platters with a nice variety of meat. Thanks to Meqan we were able to organize a beautiful evening. We definitely recommend this location for small occasions. Thank you!

Restaurant Meqan offers an excellent experience with its great service, delicious dishes and a very pleasant atmosphere. The employees are attentive and make you feel welcome. There is absolutely no Turkish food and it is not a place related to Turkishness. At the entrance, you are greeted by a Siyag woman who does not speak Dutch. It takes a long time for her to find her place, and you are waiting like a commodity. And the game and food names of the month are written in Dutch. Food is also very expensive, costing €100 for 3 people before they are full. As you know, the inside is chaotic, full of Miletus, very noisy, very disturbing, it will be the first and the last time for me.

Yesterday we really enjoyed an evening at Restaurant Meqan. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the service was great. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was served quickly, hot and perfectly flavoured. Our daughter was especially impressed with the "steam show" presented on the table when serving our food. She still talks about it! We started with the shrimp tacos, and they were phenomenal – the flavor combination and the crispy outside were really amazing. For the main course we chose the Meqan platter, a serving platter full of well-seasoned mixed meat, hamburgers, pilaf rice, vegetables and matching sauces that were surprisingly tasty. The desserts were the perfect end to the evening – each dessert was a flavor explosion and a great ending to the meal. An extra plus: upstairs there is a quiet corner where you can say your prayers, with a prayer rug ready for use. All in all we had a fantastic evening and we will definitely return.

Went there for dinner with a group of girls. We ordered the Angnus burger and it took so long to receive your order, which is not normal. Finally got the burger it was just cold inside like seriously😒 plus they employ people who are not even normal Being able to speak Dutch. If you ask that girl can you get someone else who can speak Dutch, she looks at you with a dirty look, really sorry, the restaurant looks nice but the food was cold, you have to wait a long time plus Dutch is hard to find. Even though you do have good Dutch-speaking staff here and there. I give it a 4.

Food was phenomenal, beyond expectations. Even though we had not made a reservation on a busy Saturday, they made a table available. Very good service, lovely girls at the counter. We had a very extensive meal for a good price. The carpaccio was the big winner for me, it just melts in your tongue. I will definitely come back here and would recommend this restaurant.
