Beautiful terrace with friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

The pavilion has been beautifully modernized. To be fair, the money has to come from somewhere, so the menu is expensive. The price/quality ratio is disproportionate. We spent 60 euros on a hamburger (which was good, though), a small plate of tasteless risotto, a small dish of boiled 1/2 head of broccoli (6 euros!), and 75cl still water (7 euros!). We didn't drink anything else. Two small dishes and a glass of water. The crowd was lively. With hip lounge music, because that's how it should be. The traditional friendly atmosphere was gone. It was a real disappointment. I'd rather move on, where the prices aren't bad either, but the atmosphere is much more convivial. I wish the new owners luck, but I do hope they're not just aiming for a certain kind of clientele with pearl necklaces.

A lovely spot for dinner on the terrace after a hot day. We only had some appetizers, which were okay.

So happy with this new addition to Monickendam! Great menu with very reasonable prices. The wine list is also truly delicious. My friends were also very enthusiastic. The manager told me about sushi night on Wednesdays (yay!) and a cocktail night on Fridays. Also great for a Wednesday afternoon with the kids - they can have fun on the large lawn/by the water. Definitely coming back soon!!

It's become so beautiful and atmospheric after the renovation and redesign. The terrace is also fantastic. Various seating options, a beautiful view. The service is also friendly. We all just had a drink, but we'll definitely be back for dinner.

Relaxed atmosphere, young staff with an open attitude and delicious dishes

A wonderful surprise on the beach! What a wonderful discovery, this cozy eatery on the small beach! The atmosphere is relaxed. The food was surprisingly good. Everything is carefully prepared, and you can taste the freshness in every dish.

We had a wonderful meal, a beautiful view, the beautiful renovation, friendly service, and then enjoyed a pleasant stroll along the new dike surrounding Hemmeland. Best of luck!

I don't understand the good reviews; we had lunch here and both had extremely bad salads. You could tell they weren't fresh; the lettuce had brown edges, the artichokes were clearly canned, and the chicken was cold and seemed undercooked. We're not picky eaters or complainers, but this was simply unacceptable. The service was amateurish. It could be a nice place because it's nicely located near the water, but some things really need to improve first.

The staff here is so lazy and slow,that i feel like invisible.After 20 minutes of waiting in vain i left.Even after the renovation, everything was very amateurish

The new "At Mirror" is absolutely beautiful. It has a lovely, spacious terrace, excellent service, and dogs are welcome, always with a bowl of water. We ordered fresh mint tea, a glass of white wine, and loaded nachos. It was delicious. We had a nice and interesting chat with the manager. Thanks, and best of luck for the future. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful, unobstructed view of the Gouwzee. Ample free parking is also available nearby.

What a beautiful renovation! We had lunch there yesterday, which was fantastic; they had the most delicious pulled chicken. We're going for dinner tonight, if that's just as good...this place is a real asset to Monnickendam; it has a very cozy terrace with comfortable lounge/sofas. A beautiful view of the water. As for the service, it's super friendly!

We came onto the terrace with two dogs, and the owner made it clear he didn't want us to. The service at this pavilion, situated in a dog paradise, was extremely poor. The dogs have been here for 12 years and haven't received a warm welcome. We'll never come back, and I hope many dog owners won't either. Aad Freke

One of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands, great atmosphere.

Way too ambitious for this location. Lots of people with children lie there in the sun in nice weather, and a can of soda costs €3.15??? Seriously?? If you use the clean restroom at the restaurant, you're immediately directed to the restrooms on the side. The menu is far too gourmet and too expensive for the beachgoers, which is a real shame.

Beautiful place. Very nice new terrace. There's still room for improvement in logistics. But the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Great menu. Good luck.

New place, clean, attentive service and good food. Has both simple take-away food stall as well as sit-down lunch/dinner option. Definitely recommend.

Finally the Mirror has been taken over and what an improvement. This is really going to be a great location for everyone. Great food with a great view. Great to come with children. Small beach where you can swim. You walk 100m into the Gouwzee and then you are still up to your knees. This tent has so much potential. Really hope it will be a success. An asset for Monnickendam and surroundings 🤩 I have not yet given 5 stars 🌟 because there are still some things that need to be done, but from what I hear that will certainly happen. On to the 5 stars I would say 💪🏻

Very bad service. Waited far too long before someone came to take the order. And then we had to go inside to place our order and pay. For these high prices absolutely not recommended. You can go to strandvier much better.

We had a 50th wedding anniversary, which was well organized!

No lunch menu, super old. Also ridiculously priced: snacks and a small plate of fries for €17.00

A lot of money for bad service… Dropped by to pick up, 3 cokes in a small plastic cup, 3 portion of fries with sauce in a small bag, and 1 frikandel sandwich with sauce for €28.25. We received it in a bag and after walking back to the towel we discovered that they had given us a croquette instead of a frikandel. Then I walk back to the restaurant and exchange the sandwich for a frikandel sandwich. I heard the waitress say that there should be no sauce on it, and after asking twice for ketchup, it was initially served with mayo. It's a shame to see that you pay so much for a questionable amount, and then all kinds of things go wrong.

Fries are ridiculously expensive and weren't even tasty? Sauce as if it had run out and a frikandel is apparently a croquette. Not what it used to be anymore. Staff also not very hospitable.

The terrace definitely needs a renovation. Inside it is also very old-fashioned and definitely needs renovation. All in all, not much atmosphere. Sat here for a cup of coffee and cake, but I felt like there had been little preparation during the day to receive guests here.

Amateur in the kitchen!! Unfortunately, the price is absolutely out of proportion to what is served. Mini sirloin steak prepared in an unimaginative way, very sweet dessert, we will drive past this from now on!

De plek is prachtig maar oh wat een dramatisch personeel. De meisjes snapten het niet. We bestelden een biertje. Alle taps waren afgesloten. Toen wilde we een flesje wat ze niet hadden. De menukaart kregen we niet. De lieve meisjes snapten er helemaal niets van en het rook er naar oude vaatdoekjes.

Atmosphere feels a bit dead and the food was really not tasty. The rib eye was not cooked properly and the herb butter on it tasted a bit chemical. In addition, the menu looked as if a toddler had put it together with typos and all. We also received a card at the table showing the stock of what they had left. Drinks and appetizers were also not on the menu. And the only dessert there was walnut ice cream.

Unfortunately, many smokers on the terrace, so we continued to strand4

Prachtig uitzicht vanaf het terras. Heel groot voordeel dat de kindjes heerlijk kunnen zwemmen. Dame achter de balie had denk ik haar dag niet. Erg onvriendelijk tegen zowel collega's als klanten. 5 patatjes besteld, waren niet gaar en denk oud vet.

2 bordjes patat, 3 frikandellen, 4 frisdrankjes €32,- Donker hok met zand over de vloer, geen menukaarten waarmee je de prijzen kan zien. Personeel is heel erg aardig.

Terras aan het water. Eten voor elk budget. Van Entrecot tot een tosti of een ijsje. Bittergarnituur. Maar ook u kippenlevertjes voor de liefhebber. Kip- of varkenssate, maaltijdsalade. Alles is vers! De nieuwe Kok is er van donderdag t/m zondag. Echt een aanrader. Goede sfeer en het uitzicht is geweldig! Hond- kind- en rolstoelvriendelijk.

Vergane glorie, zo die er ooit al geweest is. Bediening is wel hartelijk. Alles ziet er een beetje troosteloos uit. Schots en scheef terras met overal onkruid tussen de oude stoeptegels. Uitzicht over de Gouwzee is mooi en er is een aardige zonneweide. Met wat geld en moeite is hier wel iets moois van te maken.

Nog nooit geweest. Bediening was een beetje traag en rommelig.

Je kan er prima wat drinken maar verwacht niet iets van sfeer. Je ziet meteen bij binnenkomst dat het echt een plek voor vaste gasten is. Super uitzicht... maar dat is het dan ook wel.

Grundsätzlich OK, aber das Hauptproblem bei uns war, dass die Bestellung mehrfach korrigiert werden musste, weil diverse Zutaten für das Essen mitten am Tag schon nicht mehr da waren. Sehr Schade. Das Personal ist aber wirklich freundlich, bemüht und hat damit die Bewertung auf 3 Sterne gerettet.

Leuk aan het IJsselmeer, in de zomer een goed terras. Ik gaf een reünie van een nest pups.

Super gezellige plek om met de familie (20p) je verjaardagsborrel te vieren! Hier kan alles 😍. Kleinzoon (2jr) kon een taartje krijgen (anders telt de verjaardag niet). Degenen die nog flink moesten reizen aan het eind van de borrel lekker een broodje kroket. Nog even blijven hangen na de afgesproken tijd….geen probleem. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Werkelijk een prachtige locatie voor een feest. Ook met minder personen. Meer dan genoeg parkeerplaats. Heerlijk eten dat er ook mooi uit ziet. Het personeel is effectief en heel vriendelijk.

Mirrorpaviljoen. Prima gelegenheid. Maar de openingstijden op de site.kloppen niet openingstijden vanaf ¹ april om 11 uur open tot 8 uur eten. Kan Google dat bijwerken.

Mijn bruiloft in mirror paviljoen gehad. Geweldige plek, prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk gegeten, service met een hoog gehalte thuis gevoel. We hebben enorm genoten.

Prima zaal om een feestje te bouwen

Freundliche Bedienung, die Aussenterasse ist sehr schön , man kann direkt aufs Wasser sehen

Erg eenvoudig, cafetaria achtig🥴 maar duur

Heerlijk uitzicht vanaf het terras, de bediening was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, je voelt je gelijk thuis door de heren dus mijn complimenten. Het eten kan naar mijn mening echt wel stukken beter, had trek in een lekkere steak maar het viel helaas tegen.

Zondag 27 maart (wandeling van de teckelclub) Heb hier wat genuttigd, Leuk personeel, vlotte bediening mooie locatie, lekker gegeten en ze zijn hier diervriendelijk.

Erg leuk restaurant met leuke muziekoptredens

Vanavond gegeten met een vriendin en drie kinderen. We wilden graag het eten op twee bonnen. Eerst ruim een uur moeten wachten op ons eten (friet, pannenkoek en gevulde Paprika). Mijn vriendin en haar zoon kregen helemaal niets. Wij hadden ons eten al op, toen is zij maar gaan vragen waar hun eten bleef. De kelner was verbaasd dat zij nog niets hadden. Even later kwam hun eten eraan. Was het iets wat ze niet besteld hadden. Wij hebben hier uiteraard over geklaagd. Kregen wij te horen dat ze het zo druk hadden en dat de kelner er 's middags alleen voor had gestaan met ook nog de ijsjes verkoop. Hier hebben wij toch geen boodschap aan.

Tijdens een fietstocht korte stop voor cola en gebak. Gebak van de dag was al op dus was enige keuze appeltaart. Helaas leek deze uit de vriezer te komen. Slagroom wel royaal. Bediening vriendelijk maar vaste gasten kwamen wat nors over (leverden commentaar op onze fietsen) Uitzicht over water en opgespoten strand

Met een stralend uitzicht op Marken, temidden van oude vrienden en dán paling regelrecht uit het rokerige vat. Wat wil je meer? Natuurlijk, het was een paling-rook-dag, dat moet je wel eerst uitzoeken, de accommodatie is gedateerd en niet perfect maar alles meegewogen zeer uniek. We vonden het moeilijk te vinden maar de zoektocht meer dan waard en misschien daarom wel vrij van massatoerisme.
