Restaurant Monarh in Sint Anna

We'd previously enjoyed a truly delicious meal here, from the chef's surprise menu. Definitely worth 5 stars! So we wanted to bring our 21- and 23-year-old sons so they could experience the unique flavors of food too. My oldest is now vegan, which I mentioned when making the reservation. I then called about it because I hadn't received a response. Only... a vegan option isn't available at Monarh! It's unusual for a restaurant with a 1-Michelin star. Not to mention, a drawback.

It was my first time visiting such an elegant Michelin-starred restaurant, and I was truly impressed. We had the 6-course chef’s menu, and every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were very kind, professional, and attentive — they made sure our water glasses were always full and explained each dish with great care. We felt very well taken care of and will definitely come back. A wonderful dining experience!

Recently, the four of us enjoyed an evening out at Monarh. Three of us were downright enthusiastic: it was a culinary delight from start to finish. The flavours were beautifully balanced, pronounced and refined. A real treat for lovers of refined gastronomy. One of us found it all a bit overwhelming: the dishes were all tasty, but sometimes just a bit too complex. Not all flavour combinations were appreciated by everyone and that made the menu a bit difficult for some to place. Taste is of course personal, and at Monarh you clearly travel off the beaten track. The service was friendly and professional, the atmosphere in the restaurant pleasant and well-kept. Everything is right in terms of ambiance. One point of attention is the pricing. It is understandable that a restaurant at this level is not a cheap evening out, but some prices feel on the high side – €14.50 for a cup of coffee is quite steep. Also, charging extra for friandises without explicitly stating this felt a bit unnecessary. Small things, but in this segment you expect such things to be either included or neatly announced. Pros: * Fantastic flavours for those who like distinctive dishes * Friendly, professional service * Beautiful setting and neat atmosphere Points of interest: * Flavours can be overwhelming for those who prefer more subtle dishes * Price level is high, with some unexpected extras Conclusion: Monarh is a place for the connoisseur who is looking for culinary adventure and distinctive flavours. A special experience in a neat setting, but keep in mind a hefty price tag.

Incredibly delicious and very beautiful food. The service is very friendly. The dinner was fascinating. We had a very good time, it was a journey into the abyss of flavors. The food in this establishment is a real art.

It was a wonderful afternoon of pampering on the terrace at the top of Tilburg. This time for me all new dishes with refined flavors and sleek presentations. A surprising twist with the Olorosso beurreblanc with the poached oyster, great! Impressed by the beautiful dessert with sleek shapes, pastel shades, refined flavors and excellent textures. Next to it a wine selection that seamlessly matched, compliments. Also a feather in the cap for the service with a lot of conviviality and excellent explanation of the wine and food. In other words, a real recommendation.

Eating at Monarh is enjoying. Flavor explosions that create a party in your mouth, a beautiful casual ambiance and a star team that surrounds you with the best care and service. Compliments and see you soon.

Monarh biedt alles wat je van een toprestaurant mag verwachten . Hemelse gerechten in combinatie met de passende wijnen en een supervriendelijke bediening van een op en top professioneel team. Wij komen terug!

Wat een beleving is het om in dit mooie restaurant te eten. Ik heb werkelijk geen idee wat ik nu precies gegeten heb (ondanks de goede en gedetailleerde uitleg van het geweldig vriendelijke personeel) maar elk gerecht was een feest! De wijn was ook perfect afgestemd. Absoluut genieten tot in perfectie!

Food perfectly balanced, service good, pace good, flavor combinations that are unique and where nothing dominates. The poached oyster and hamachi were two dishes I've never had before. And star restaurants and small snacks? With the bread (and the wonderful spreads) and the appetizers, we went home full with the smallest chef's menu. One of the best places I've ever eaten. Compliments to the chefs and all the staff!

Vanaf binnenkomst tot het afscheid en alles ertussen; 100%. Sprankelende oplettende ogen & sprankelende champagneglazen. De prettige glinstering in ieders oogopslag, attent op alles en ieders gemeende aandacht. Je weet niet wat je overkomt keer op keer. Het vijfgangen chefs menu verrast de ogen, smaakpapillen en oren bij de toelichting van al het moois en smaakvols op je bord. Het blijft een culinaire theatervoorstelling waar we zeker nog niet op uitgekeken zijn. Hier staat een Champions League’s team. Graag tot ziens weer!

Al twee keer eerder hebben we bij dit restaurant voortreffelijk gegeten. We hadden wat te vieren, dus we reserveerden een tafel. Buj de online reservering hadden we aangegeven dat een van ons niet goed tegen knoflook kon. We werden een paar dagen van tevoren gebeld door de kok met de vraag hoe ernstig die allergie was. We legden uit dat een kleine hoeveelheid geen probleem was, maar dat mijn man bij grotere hoeveelheden knoflook heftige reacties kreeg. De kok zei: “maar in elk gerecht zit knoflook, vooral in de sauzen. Weet u hoeveel uren werk het mij kost als ik allemaal nieuwe sauzen voor u moet maken? Dat wordt al gauw tien, twintig uur!”. Wij vonden dit een vreemde reactie en vroegen hem of er een alternatief was. Na diep nadenken zei hij: “u kunt natuurlijk alle gerechten zonder sausje eten, dat kan ik voor u doen.”. Hoe moeilijk is het voor een chefkok om een paar alternatieve sausjes te maken, om rekening te houden met een allergie? Wij hebben nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt en al helemaal niet in een restaurant met een Michelin ster. We hebben de reservering onmiddellijk online gecanceld. Toen we de volgende dag belden om uit te leggen waarom we dat hadden gedaan en ook omdat we onze verbazing nogmaals wilden laten weten, kregen we een compleet onverschillige reactie: “Ja, die reservering is er nu uit. Ik kan hem niet meet zien. Heeft u nog een probleem dan?”. Ik ben benieuwd hoe lang ze die ster blijven houden.. Ons ga je er niet meer zien.

Beautifully surprising menu with sublime personal service. Opted for a 0% package which was exceptionally good. We think beyond just a 0.0 wine, the 0% creations are unique and match the dishes perfectly. In short, definitely a recommendation!

Dit restaurant Monarh verdient zeker lof voor zijn uitstekende service en warme gastvrijheid. Vanaf het moment dat je binnenstapt, voel je je direct welkom. Het personeel is vriendelijk en attent, en de sfeer is gezellig. De gerechten zijn overheerlijk bereid en presenteren een smaakvolle ervaring voor elke gast. Kortom, een fantastische plek om te genieten van een heerlijke diner met uitstekende service. De wijnen waren ook fantastisch en de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was zeker meer dan goed.

Esto es lo mejor que he comido hasta ahora. Todo el personal hizo de esto una experiencia para nunca olvidar. Tuvimos la mejor noche. La comida era súper, maravillosa presentación, excelente cocina! El servicio era súper flexible, tenían un ojo para los detalles y lo hicieron una noche para siempre recordar.

Enjoyed a six-course menu with wine pairing together. It is enjoyment with a very big G. Know the story of the restaurant and am glad the brothers "took over" it and continued. In one word:" Fantastic".

Sublime restaurant where you can enjoy fantastic food in a chic but accessible ambiance. All dishes were delicious and special. Staff exceptionally friendly. Recommended!

The food was delicious, the dishes are special and often feel like flavor explosions in your mouth and the accompanying wines were very tasty. Daniel was great and took care of everything down to the last detail! I can also definitely recommend taking the cheese board at the end, the cheeses were extremely tasty, but especially the port was great!

My husband surprised me with a birthday dinner at Monarh, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was tasteless, and despite giving feedback to the staff, we couldn't finish the courses as they were not edible. To our surprise, we were still charged the full amount, even though we didn’t enjoy the meal. Overall, it was an unpleasant and frustrating experience for such a special occasion.

We were definitely ‘underdressed’ when we were there. And the waitress was surprised that someone would come by so spontaneously. But there was enough space and we received extremely friendly and courteous service. You can also go spontaneously 😉 You definitely have to try the multi-course menu: a feast for the taste buds and eyes! Simply outstanding! 🤩 Gladly again at any time - unfortunately a bit far from home...

Schlemmen auf dem höchsten Niveau. Wir haben uns für das Fünfgang- Menu entschieden. Nach mehreren Grüssen aus der Küchen wurden uns hervorragende Gänge serviert. Es war ein Geschmackserlebnis. Der Preis für das Essen ist hoch aber gerechtfertigt. Die Preise für die Getränke sind moderat. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hat uns die Gänge in englisch erklärt.Falls wir wieder einmal in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Tuvimos una gran noche aquí. ¿Qué fue genial? La comida. El vino. El servicio. Uno va a un lugar como este para encontrar buena comida que no se cocina en casa, y para encontrar buen vino que no se ha tomado antes. Nos dieron nada menos que 3 diferentes diversiones antes de que llegara el primer plato. Quedamos especialmente impresionados por el plato vegetariano que estaba tan lleno de sabor, y el vino blanco portugués Duero y el vino tinto Kremsthal Zweigelt (Krems mejor conocido por Riesling blanco y Gruener Veltliner). Este restaurante es propiedad de dos hermanos, uno encargado de cocinar y el otro encargado del vino. Sommelier Ralph era claramente muy conocedor, y había elegido vinos que iban muy bien con la comida. Él estaba feliz de participar y discutir los vinos, lo cual fue muy apreciado. ¡Iremos allí de nuevo!

Had a wonderful evening! Ambience in the restaurant was just right. Beautiful building, yet cozy and cozy. Acoustics also good! The appetizers and the delicious bread were really flavor bombs and lead you to a beautiful (in our case) 5-course dinner. Time between courses was spot on (not too long and not too short), nice that different ladies and gentlemen came to serve. The sommelier did a nice job, came across as sincere and knowledgeable and with a joke here and there! Wine 9/10! What I really like is that there is a fixed price for table water (€6.5 p.p.). For me the sweetbreads were really disappointing, not that tasty and a bit bland. Always a shame when the main course is disappointing, but it is still the star of the show. Bread cart and cheese cart in one word great! Free parking in front of the door is also nice. Enjoyed it immensely, thanks Monarh!

Fantastic! It's been a while, but we often think back to this wonderful evening. Even when the power went out (no idea what the cause was) there was nothing to notice and the staff handled it professionally. We lit the candles and got some extra cold dishes until the power came back on. Absolutely great! Even if something unexpected happens. There is still a lot to discover but I expect we will come back again.

Fantastic meal. Another true experience of different flavors. Thanks for that. Paul and his team always know how to deliver what is star-worthy. Besides the fantastic food, it's all just right. The service is top notch and so is the knowledge about the dishes. The ambiance is atmospheric and you can hear the people at your own table well. Something that an eatery can follow as an example. We have gained another wonderful experience and, thanks to you, we were able to end a festive day on a great note.

What a beautiful location to dine! But also, even though we came there on a business trip, we had a great meal! Everyone was taken into account (vegetarian/vegan and other dietary requirements). Delicious wines too!

Echt fantastisch gegeten. Prachtige gerechten, heerlijke gerechten, sfeervolle ambiance. Bediening is zeer deskundig. Enige punt van kritiek is het erg trage tempo verder louter complimenten!

We went there since it was a gift from the family. We chose the 5 course menu from the chef and the appetizers were amazing. The waiters are very attentive and we love the interior and the wine that was on the menu. In general we enjoyed it, but couple of course dishes were too salty (to our taste). The fish was perfect, the meat amazing and in overall it was visible that the chef made lovely experiments that come across positive with the guests. We enjoyed the night and the friendliness of the people. Parking was a bit weird to understand, but it was for free and we figured it out in the end.

Heerlijk gegeten. Mooie gerechten gemaakt met goede producten. Heerlijke bijpassende wijnen. Fijn tempo van serveren door vriendelijk personeel. Fijne ambiance. Wij hadden het zes gangen verrassingsmenu en met (dieet)wensen is goed rekening gehouden.

Dawn en ik gaan graag naar Monarh. Iedere keer weer weet Ralph Kappé de meest verrassende wijnen voor te stellen. Paul Kappé en zijn team bedenken en creëren de allerlekkerste gerechten. Het is keer op keer genieten in dit prachtige restaurant. Het voelt iedere keer als ‘thuis komen’. Eigenlijk vinden we Monarh het beste restaurant van Nederland en ver daarbuiten. Aanrader!

Wat is het toch fantastisch nee beter gezegd een zegening dat de broers Kappe deze zaak hebben kunnen behouden en ze nu samen met een fantastische team door kunnen bouwen.... we hebben weer genoten van een buitengewone lunch en kijken uit naar ons volgende bezoek! Monarh staat al jaren heel hoog in ons favorieten-lijstje!

Wat een fantastische ervaring, ontzettend lekkere gerechtjes, de gekste combinaties, wat een smaakexplosies. Vriendelijk personeel die weten waar ze het over hebben. Alles meer dan waard. We komen graag een keer terug.

In een woord fantastisch 🤩 Wat een ervaring! Een restaurant op een prachtige locatie. De gerechten zien er uit als ware kunstwerken en je wordt bij elke gang verrast door een smaakexplosie. Bijzonder vriendelijke en professionele bediening. Deze mensen verstaan hun vak en doen er alles aan om van een avond uit een belevenis te maken. Wij komen graag nog eens terug, alleen maar lof!

Er werd ons bij het binnenkomen een fantastische ervaring beloofd en dat was niet gelogen! We hadden het 5-gangen-menu. Zeer fijne smaken in verrassende combinaties. Het is even geleden, het gevoel van bijzonder uit eten gaan. Ik en mijn partner bezochten regelmatig restaurants waarbij het eten lekker was. Maar het herontdekken van gerechten die er uitzien als kunst en een explosie hebben aan smaak, dat was even geleden. Voor haar verjaardag nam ik haar mee naar restaurant monarch. En wat was het goed, lekker, bijzonder en verrassend. De sfeer is goed, toegankelijk en de bediening maakt het net als de gerechten een heuse belevenis. Ik kom hier zeker terug!

Heerlijke avond gehad. We drinken geen alcohol en daar hebben ze hele leuke alternatieven voor. Passend bij de gerechten. Fijne en vriendelijke bediening. We hopen dat Monarh nog lang in Tilburg zal zijn!

Afgelopen vrijdag weer heerlijk gegeten bij Monarh. De sfeer, het eten en de mooie locatie zorgen voor een hele fijne beleving.

Simply impeccable in every way! The service was wonderful and the staff created an elevated atmosphere that felt like home. Each course was delicately crafted both visually and in terms of taste. Impeccable. Went for a 4 course chef's lunch. It was my first Michelin experience and it was everything I hoped for! The wines were excellent and perfectly paired with the dishes and the dishes were pieces of art and sometimes very interesting. The waiters were very professional and really knew their stuff. We called in the morning as me and my partner have relatively difficult intolerances for some foods, and got to speak the chef. He really took this into account for every dish, adjusting where necessary, but trying to keep our plates harmonious together. For the signature dish of the chef no picture - you'll have to go and see for yourself! I left the restaurant a tad tipsy, full and more than satisfied.

Service top, gerechten zijn uitzonderlijk mooi en geweldig op smaak. Aanrader voor iedereen die van “fine dining” houdt. Groots!

Op eenzame hoogte qua aandacht, zowel met betrekking tot de service als de magnifieke gerechten. Een tikje klassiek, maar simpelweg de enige keuze in het hart van Brabant voor echte gastronomie op topniveau. Een waarlijke toevoeging aan de stad. Je snapt na hier gegeten te hebben waarom het personeel hier op alle lagen jarenlang blijft werken, als ik de restjes zou mogen bietsen, zou ik hier ook wel willen afwassen. Spaar alsjeblieft voor een avond hier in plaats van Roompot xoxo.

Wat een sfeer ... Top kwaliteit hoog niveau eten en dit alles op perfect opgemaakte borden met een meer dan fantastische aak ervaring . Hoog niveau eten in een top restaurant die met het personeel ( dat zeer professioneel) het toch voor elkaar krijgen dat het een thuis gevoel bij je achterlaat.. .
