Restaurant Nest in Sassenheim Zuid

The (vegetarian) focaccia sandwich with grilled vegetables was delicious, as was the regular sandwich. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and the service is friendly. However, 3 stars are due to the small portions, which, in our opinion, are not in proportion to the price of €16.50 each. We were still hungry when we left.

The meat was tough and not very flavorful. The dessert was not as expected. The price-quality ratio was poor. Very expensive for what you get. Not recommended.

A very nice restaurant for drinks. However, our service was terrible two days in a row and often very slow (a 20-minute wait for two drinks...). No one came by to take more orders. Apparently, we weren't a priority with just drinks (or so it felt). We had to go to the cash register several times to order something. The beers arrived at the table completely deflated; we watched them sit on the bar for five minutes without being taken away... Our appetizers were very tasty, though, and the cocktail selection was excellent.

I don’t know how they hire people here! It takes ages to get their attention to make an order. People are just talking to each other, laughing and chatting. It such shame, because it’s a nice place to eat

Delicious food and the service was great! Our waitress was Noor. Super nice and spontaneous girl who has a lot of passion for her work! Also received a good wine tip from the restaurant manager Saskia. Highly recommended!!!!!

The restaurant offers multiple dining options, the menu spread was also impressive with a variety of choices to suit different tastes. The staff was friendly, cooperative, and always ready to help, contributing positively to the overall service. The ambience also great making it well suited for occasions.

Delicious Easter brunch with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. Lots of fun activities for the children and of course delicious desserts to end.

We waited 25 minutes for our order to be taken... we arrived at 20.30 and received my dish at 22.07. I was tired of waiting, I would have left if there was another restaurant nearby. The waiters are welcoming and friendly, the food is delicious, but everything is very slow.

Atmospheric restaurant. Luxurious appearance, both space and service staff. Friendly service, pleasant presence. Original menu, wide choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. Starter and dessert also widely available. Food was very tasty. Luxurious attractive presentation and ample portions of all courses. We shared the duck rillette. Nice taste and combinations gave a good balance. Main course of salmon and sea bass. Delicious dishes. Large portion of fish. Plenty of rice, but few vegetables. Fries fresh and crispy, really delicious. Desserts are difficult to choose from, but I don't think you can make a wrong choice. We went for the mille feuille and pistachio pavlova and they were both very good. Again large quantity and very tasty. Very positive experience. Definitely a place to recommend!

A disappointing experience. Had expected more. Better experiences over the past 25 years. The sandwich beforehand was not what you expected. A large piece of bread was not attractive and way too much. Main meal was fine but hardly any vegetables were served with it. We were disappointed with the most expensive wine by the glass. Unfortunately a disappointment. We didn't dare order anything else.

Service that has time for the guests. What a relief. Had dinner two evenings, delicious without rush. Nice card with decent prices.

It was very cozy and fun, nice buffet and a funny Santa Claus? In short, very cozy and fun!

On Christmas Eve we had a delicious meal with our group of friends, only when the dessert arrived the vultures were very present before the staff had put everything on the table, ultimately 20 minutes. We also wanted to get something tasty, of course there was no one left at the dessert and when we were ready with our plate, I understand why, we were able to scrape the leftovers off the plates. At the end the manager of the restaurant came and asked us if everything was to our liking, we told our story about our experience regarding the dessert, the manager confirmed to us that unfortunately this happens every year and that we as a group were not the only ones that evening, when we walked towards the exit, the children and we saw the pieces of cake on the table even though there was no one else at the table. I gave 1 star to Service, this has nothing to do with the floor staff but more with the manager who did not respond to anything, of course you pay for it.

Very disappointing restaurant, both lunch and dinner. Quality and quantity are poor, especially considering the high prices. The service is very formal and cool.

The schnitzel and sparerib evening was superb. If the food was finished, you could still order more and the 6 drinks were included. You should do this more often.

To share met verschillende soorten worst was afzetterij omdat je 3 tot 4 plakjes krijgt van 1,5 cm doorsnee en wat plakjes van de supermarkt. Hamburger hebben ze alleen Vega. Hoe verzin je als restaurant zoiets? De hotdog was niet te eten zo zout. De gamba’s waren te rauw en dus niet gebakken. Dus 2 spa rood, paar plakjes worst, 2 tomaten soep 6 garnalen en een worst die te zout is: €71,- Ga er niet eten. Bediening was wel netjes.

Food is good, but a bit on the pricey side as the portions are a bit smaller than normal. Service was fine, it took a while but the restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere so that worked out well.

Had lunch on the terrace. Smooth and fun operation. Good dishes. Free parking.

Prijs kwaliteit ver te zoeken …feitelijk zeer matig eten tegen een te hoge prijs….ook jammer is dat bij een meer dan redelijke klacht er verder geen opvolging is door medewerkers.

Very negative experience with this restaurant. We made a reservation here on New Year's Eve. Our reservation was for 7:00 PM. Upon arrival we were told that the restaurant would close at 8pm. If we had known this earlier, we would have either come earlier or gone somewhere else. During the short period we were there, the staff paid very little attention to us. For dessert I had a cheese board of 5 pieces. We received 3 pieces on our board. We said something about this and were told that this was correct. Afterwards the receipt also stated that 5 pieces had been assessed.

Erg negatieve ervaring met dit restaurant. Wij hadden hier gereserveerd op oudjaar avond. Onze reserving stond voor 19:00. Bij aankomst werd ons verteld dat het restaurant om 20:00 zou sluiten. Indien wij dit eerder hadden geweten waren we of wel eerder gekomen of ergens anders naar toe gegaan. Tijdens de korte periode dat wij hebben gezeten had het personeel bijzonder weinig aandacht voor ons. Als dessert een kaasplankje genomen van 5 stuks. Wij kregen 3 stukjes op ons plankje. Hier hebben we iets van gezegd waarna verteld werd dat dit wel correct was. Achteraf op de bon stond ook gewoon 5 stuks aangeslagen.

We really enjoyed our visit to Nest! Extremely attentive service, tasty dishes and the extensive wine menu fits in perfectly with this!

Last minute aan kunnen schuiven in dit restaurant. Wat een fantastische ervaring. Goede service, lekker eten en genoeg variatie op de menu kaart.

Had a good dinner here while staying at the Van der Valk, Food was up to par, and decent variety in the menu. Service was great. Will be back when I'm around. :)

Ontzettend goed gegeten, vriendelijke bediening en een fijne plek om te lunchen, dineren, vergaderen of gewoon voor een koffietje. Handig gelegen met genoeg parkeergelegenheden. Aanrader!

Ontbijt GEWELDIG! Ontzettend veel keuze, alles smaakte lekker. Heerlijk ontspannen zitten, zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Uitgeklede veel te dure lunchkaart, toen ik vroeg hoe kwan dat er zo weinig keus was was het antwoord dat men voor exclusiviteit ging, dit is ronduit belachelijk voor de eenvoudige gerechten waar keus uit kon worden gemaakt. Ik kom 30 jaar regelmatig bij deze vestiging maar nu is het dieptepunt m.i. bereikt. De keuken zou een moeten kijken naar b.v. de lunchkaart in Maastricht..daar krijg je waar voor je geld. Wellicht, voor het behoud van de gasten, daar eens ideeën gaan opdoen. Voorlopig zit Sassenheim niet meer bij mijn favorieten.

Leider insgesamt enttäuschend. Essen war o.k., beim Service hatten wir das Gefühl, das man gerne übersehen wird. Sehr lange Wartezeiten, obwohl nicht übermäßig voll.

Fijne plek om te werken, om te lunchen en te dineren. Goede bediening, prima eten.

Deze klacht is de volgende dag netjes opgepakt door restaurantmanager. Complimenten hiervoor. Alle gerechten mooi op smaak ,creatief en prachtig opgemaakt en niet goedkoop. Alleen als je een schnitzel besteld is dit geen natuurlijk lapje vlees maar geperst vlees en net als bij n slechte cafetaria gefrituurd!!! Bij de vraag of t gerecht naar wens is gezegd dat ik niet snap dat n restaurant en kok van dit niveau het in z'n hoofd haalt om zùlk vlees te kiezen en helemaal niet dat t dan gefrituurd wordt. Weet je welk antwoord je dan krijgt?? ... ja zo serveren we de schnitzel altijd. Vinden ze heel normaal dus en dat niveau blijkbaar ook. Er wordt niks met je klacht gedaan.

Vorige week geluncht en gedineerd in dit restaurant. Ondanks de enorme drukte werden we beide keren snel en vriendelijk bediend. De menukaart is niet heel uitgebreid maar het eten was van goede kwalilteit.

Bij aankomst in het hotel eerst hier wat gedronken. Personeel is vriendelijk maar niet vlug. Voor het bestellen/serveren van een drankje waren we ca. 20 minuten verder.

Vandaag maar weer eens gegeten bij Van der Valk Nest in Sassenheim. Wat is het eten hier achteruit gegaan ongelooflijk. Voor 23,80 heb ik de smerigste schnitzel gegeten ooit in een restaurant. Een kant en klare mini schnitzel van de AH is nog beter. 0,0 smaak, droog, taai, aangebakken (zie foto). Dit heb ik netjes gemeld aan de restaurant manager van dienst. Maar chef kok van Nest schaam dat je dit durft te serveren in zo’n mooie ambiance en in potentie een top restaurant. Erg jammer.

Entourage is mooi goede bediening en bezorging..Leuk personeel

Bij reservering aangegeven dat wij een verjaardag vierden. Werd geen aandacht aan besteed. Summiere hoeveelheid hoofdgerechten. Friet was vet en stonk naar vet. Laten vervangen en daarna zelfde resultaat. Prijs/kwaliteit echt onvoldoende. Kortom teleurstellend.

Tja, wat kan ik er van zeggen. De service was goed (vriendelijk personeel en behulpzaam) maar de spareribs waren taai en werden lauw gebracht. De kip en bijgerecht waren echt niet lekker. Maar je betaald wel de hoofdprijs. Jammer.

Very disappointed. On the website is says there is a mibrasa menu wich contains dry aged beef. When we got there we asked for that menu but they said they dont thave that anymore because they dont have big ovens anymore. Maybe remove it from the website then.

Vreselijke droge schnitzel , uitgedroogde puree, lauwe patat , service is ook niet goed . Word gewoon niet geholpen

Live cooking buffet was prima. Serveren van drankjes was waardeloos. 3x besteld en 3x niet gekregen. Wel een gezellige avond gehad.

Très beau restaurant situé dans l'hôtel Van der Valk. Nous y avons dîné puis petit-déjeuné et nous nous sommes régalés à chacun de nos repas. Le service du dîner est rapide, le personnel est très sympathique et souriant. Le petit-déjeuner propose bien évidemment des buffets salés et sucrés, avec un grand choix de pains, céréales, accompagnements et boissons. De quoi prendre des forces avant une journée découverte des alentours avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix.

To start with we booked the hotel because we especially were looking for a nice experience in their restaurant Nest. But it was a big disappointment because of the service. However they did there best too make it right. We arrived and were brought to the table. After 15 minutes someone came to bring us a menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and a Wild-Menu and for my friend a some dishes to make up a vegetarian menu. After 30 minutes we still sit not have our wine and due to corona at 8 you can’t drink anymore (it was already 7:30) so we asked and finally got a drink. The food the first dish then came 45 minutes after we ordered. The next dish came again 30 minutes later and no one took in the mean time our plates or asked if we would have another drink. This happened during every course. We need to ask the waiters even to take away plates from the table because it was too full. At the end we ben got a bill that was 10% to high because they charged too much. It would be ok if the price tag behind their menu would not be that high but it is, though you should get good service. This was not the case. But they apologised and even gave us a bottle of Prosecco for the room, that was really nice . The taste of the menu was standard for that price segment .

Heerlijk gegeten en mooie uitstraling, personeel is vriendelijk maar je merkt dat ze niet veel ervaring hebben. Nog altijd goed.

Live cooking is all you can eat and drink. Op zaterdag zijn de kosten €38,50 p.p. en er is een gevarieerd aanbod aan eten. Opmerkingen: - het personeel in de bediening is erg jong en voor het drinken komen ze wel langs de tafel, maar geregeld moet je ze wenken. Het kwam bij ons over als hierop bespaard moet worden. - de laadpaal was defect, waardoor de auto niet bijgeladen kon worden - bij het ijs en kaas iemand neerzetten die dit op de borden doet, want niet iedereen is even netjes en de kinderen kun je het niet kwalijk nemen.
