A cozy, relaxed atmosphere with friendly and fast service. A beautiful waterfront terrace with a stunning view of the Kaag River.

We ate with a large group, and the food arrived in no time, which is fantastic, especially with a large group. Unfortunately, several satays were incredibly raw! The fries, cassava chips, and dessert were very tasty! It was a shame, though, that the staff didn't know what kind of dessert they were serving. I even told the staff to let the kitchen know if they wanted to report the raw chicken, but the waiter looked at us as if we didn't know what we were talking about. What a downer for the beautiful view and wonderful location they have.

I had lunch at this place yesterday. Against my better judgment, despite previous disappointments, I gave it another try. It's incredibly EXPENSIVE there, and you get very little on your plate. The food is getting increasingly TERRIBLE. Maybe they're trying to emulate a Michelin-starred restaurant, but the quality of the food certainly isn't up to par. They're simply FOOLING people. If they're trying to attract customers with a skewed price-quality ratio, they've certainly succeeded.

Nice and swanky, but not very exciting. The wine is expensive, sparse, and not very exciting either.

We got married here on July 11, 2025. It was fantastic; everything was perfect. The ceremony, the music, and the transformation into dinner while we enjoyed a carefree boat trip with our guests. Koen and his team (and our own master of ceremonies/Babs ;)) were amazing. The etiquette was spot on, no glasses were empty, a three-course dinner for us, and the guests were wonderful. Everything was perfect! If you're getting married, there's only one place that makes it extra magical, and that's with Koen and his team! Thanks again for everything, you were fantastic!

It remains a top location for drinks, lunch, or dinner when the weather is nice. Fantastic waterfront terrace and plenty of moorings.

We got married here on 28.06.2025. There is only one word that describes this day well and that is simply 'perfection'. From arrival to music, cake buffet provided by my mother, drinks outside, moving decorations, to preparing a BBQ dinner that was described by all domestic and foreign guests as super tasty, chic and pampering: Koen and his team made it possible. The staff was friendly, helpful, available and always quick and unobtrusive, I received many compliments about it. We had the MOST BEAUTIFUL day, thank you! I quote one of my guests: "I bet that the majority of people now think: Wow, that's how you can get married too". It was grand, and that thanks to this great team at this dream location.

I was the DJ for the bridal couple Rick and Esmee (i.g. DJcootje) Going over with the ferry is a nice addition! And I have to say that the staff was very friendly and amicable And doing a good job with the customers and serving Was a nice evening and a very nice and beautiful location to get married!

Nice place for lunch or a drink. Take the ferry from the parking lot. It feels like you are on vacation when you sit here on the terrace.

Koen and Aimee are great, and the location is beautiful! We were allowed to organize our wedding party here last week, and enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend this location to everyone.

What a fantastic place for a wedding! The organization in advance runs smoothly and on the day itself the service is also tiptop. The location is of course already a picture and the ferry ensures that all guests feel like they are on holiday. For a wedding or other party really recommended! In terms of price also certainly good and in consultation everything is possible, everything to make it your own day.

This weekend we got married at Waterlust de Kaagsociëteit and thanks to the staff and the location it was really the best day ever. We had a year of preparation with manager Koen to arrange everything; nothing was too much and there was always an immediate answer to every question. The location can be combined with everything; for example, we had a floating reception after which the staff of the Kaagsociëteit were ready with large glasses of aperol. We can recommend this beautiful location to everyone!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Kaag Sociëteit on April 6th and what a great experience it was. From discussing what our wishes were (everything was possible) to the party itself, everything was super organized. Here they sell the tastiest Nachos in the entire region!! We have never eaten there, but sail here especially for Nachos. There is assistance from the Kaagsoos with mooring. Fast and friendly service. And a magnificent location, where it is wonderful to stay, especially when it is sunny ☀️.

Had reserved in advance. Promising little menu, but unfortunately at least four of the dishes/drinks we wanted were not available (Saturdays at 7 p.m.), but we were only told that when we had chosen them and wanted to order, no prior information Whatever is available tastes good.

Food and drinks are just great. And don't forget the hospitality. Keep it up.

Waterlust is highly recommended in terms of atmosphere and view. The service is extremely friendly. We were a bit disappointed with the food.

We celebrated our wedding at Waterlust last weekend, and WOW, Koen (the owner) exceeded all expectations. It is a location where weddings are often held, but it doesn't feel that way. You are not treated as a number but as a special guest. The staff is super sweet, helpful, but above all flexible. And besides that, the food was also great. Koen, and all your colleagues: THANK YOU!

Nice place to have something to eat and drink, especially when you are by boat. Otherwise it is somewhat difficult to reach, for example by car. They have an extensive drinks and lunch menu, so there is something for everyone. However, almost €4 for a soft drink. Bizarre price It took quite a while after ordering before the food was served, but that was probably because it was busy for the amount of staff walking around. All in all fine

Neat society, easy to moor the boat because of enough space. Neat, clean environment. Friendly welcome and prompt assistance. Good choice on the menu, including vegetarian dishes. Price/quality ratio is excellent. Original vegetarian dish: flat bread with yellow beetroot rendering. Delicious spicy dish, compliment to the chef!

Today we went out for lunch at the Kaagsociëteit with my husband and daughters. Lovely location, we ate outside as we had good weather. I made a reservation, just in case, they had enough spots, but it got busy pretty quick. The staff was friendly, food was very tasty. I had the veggie salade, my daughters shared their choices: WATERLUST XL TOSTI and the RUNDVLEESKROKETTEN (big portions). They were really happy with their meal. My husband had the WATERLUST 12-UURTJE. He was the only one disappointed, he thought this was a big dish, but it only has one slice of bread, while the kroketten have 2... strange. If you ard a guy with a healthy appetite, don't order this one. All in all, its a good place to visit on a sunny day.

The beer initially did not taste quite as expected. Fortunately, that was taken seriously. Top service. Customer friendliness comes first here. Atmosphere, food and drinks are absolutely great! Please note that you have to arrive by ferry, but afterwards you will receive a very welcome welcome!

Geweldige plek om aan het water te eten.

We hebben hier onze bruiloft gevierd , Het plannen ging erg soepel, precies wat we wilde kon en we werden goed geholpen, voor elke vraag konden we mailen en er werd overal snel op gereageerd. De grote dat was hier fantastisch, de gasten waren onder de indruk van de mooie locatie. De ceremonie was perfect geregeld. Savonds was het dinner ook erg goed. En de wijnen waren ook erg lekker. De sevice van het bar en bediend personeel was uitmuntend, was een moment zonder drankje en niks was te gek. Super fijn Al met al zou ik iedereen deze locatie aanraden.

Op een zonnige zaterdag hier aangemeerd voor de lunch. Het was behoorlijk druk, maar er was nog plek op het terras met uitzicht op de plas. We moesten wel een paar keer onze hand opsteken eer de bestelling werd opgenomen, maar de drankjes kwamen redelijk snel. Vervolgens hebben we een tijdje geduldig gewacht op onze lunchgerechten, maar na ruim een half uur maar eens gevraagd waar de bestelling bleef. Die bleek ergens in het systeem zoek geraakt te zijn. Daarna werden de gerechten, met excuses, redelijk snel geserveerd. Het oerbrood met carpaccio was prima, maar we moesten er dus wel lang op wachten.

Dit was een tevoren georganiseerd diner, moesten ook vooraf menukeuze laten weten. Er werd echter niet gevraagd naar gewenste gaarheid van de steak. Steak en kabeljauw leken erg op de vaste porties die je bij de groothandel koopt. Saus was niet vers en de carpaccio was aan de randen uitgedroogd, dus was veel eerder tevoren klaargemaakt en niet goed afgedekt geweest. Als bijgerecht was er friet besteld dat kwam ver nadat alles was opgediend, dus toen velen hun stukje vlees of vis al op hadden...

Als je niet met de boot komt, is het ook leuk om naar toe te fietsen en dan met het pontje over. Fijn terras waar je heerlijk kan lunchen of dineren. Ondertussen bootjes kijken en genieten.

5+ voor dit restaurant! Goede service en leuke bedrijfsleiders. Klasse dat er schone spiegels hangen in de toiletten.

We zijn getrouwd op deze locatie. Een prachtige locatie met vriendelijk personeel en een uitstekende gastheer, Koen. Hij heeft ervoor gezorgd dat we ons nergens druk over hoefde te maken en was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten was meer dan voldoende en de mogelijkheden waren eindeloos. De koepel geeft een leuke sfeer en we hebben een heerlijke dag gehad.

Ons bruiloftsfeest op de Kaag. De locatie is fantastisch, personeel is lief en betrokken, eten van goede kwaliteit en er kan goed gefeest worden!

Na de laatste keer is de kaart enorm gereduceerd. Er waren maar 5 hoofdgerechten te kiezen en de prijzen weer duurder. Voor 2 hoofdgerechten, 2 kindergerechten en 2 drankrondes betaalden wij €94. De gerechten waren wel op smaak, maar dit bedrag vonden wij echt enorm hoog. Let op, de kaart op de site is niet geüpdatet

Jammer er was alleen een kleine kaart voorhanden maar het smaakte goed.

Het plekje is nog altijd mooi, de bediening was druk met?? Het bestelde tweede drankje is nooit gekomen.

Met de boot gekomen. Makkelijk om zo aan te leggen en een hapje te eten. We waren met een klein groepje in Covid tijd, maar er waren wel andere grote groepen die ook behoorlijk rumoerig waren. We hebben lekker gegeten en de bediening was heel vriendelijk. De kaart vond ik persoonlijk een beetje beperkt.

Leuke tent aan water. Ze hebben een groot terras waar je heerlijk buiten kan zitten en naar de bootjes op het water kan kijken. Vriendelijk personeel en lekker eten. Lekkere borrelhapjes voor vooraf.

Prachtige locatie met weids uitzicht over het water. Heel vriendelijke bediening en heerlijke gerechten en hapjes. We waren hier ter gelegenheid van een bruiloft en alles was perfect geregeld, het ontbrak ons aan niets.
