Lekker pizza; high quality and fresh; nice personnel.

Not all pizzas are the same! And they prove it here. After several years, I can say they consistently produce very high-quality pizzas. The service is good and professional.

After waiting over an hour for our pizzas, we were surprised by a tasteless tomato sauce and a dry crust. We tried to revitalize the pizza with some olive oil (which cost €1.50), salt, and pepper, but to no avail. Incidentally, we paid almost €40 without drinks. An evening like this is something we won't soon forget. 2/5 stars is a very generous rating.

What friendly service and delicious food! The delivery service is also really great!

Not a particularly fancy restaurant, but the service was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We had the lasagna and spaghetti bolognese, and they were fantastic! Highly recommended if you're in beautiful Gorinchem.

The service is friendly and funny. Much better than the food, unfortunately: Lasagna was salty, overcooked and nothing more. The pizza was unambitious at best. Rose wine came right out of the box and was overpriced. The Pellegrino was good, as was the service.

Great pizzas on a lively terrace

Nice Italian restaurant with more than just pizzas, which I did eat and were of excellent quality.

The best Italian restaurant in Gorinchem.

Definitely not a last time when we were here.Homemade Tiramisu on the end was outstanding. Good to come on time, otherwise is really getting full because is popular place.

Made a reservation for 8 people last minute, but that was no problem, we were more than welcome. The pizzas were very tasty. The quantity was very good and was to everyone's liking. Recommended!

New owner the pizza tasted like perfume not nice

We recently ordered a takeaway pizza from La Fontana in Gorinchem and were quite disappointed. We chose the Del Mare pizza, one of the most expensive options on the menu, expecting a rich and flavorful seafood pizza. Unfortunately, what we received was mediocre at best — the toppings were sparse, and instead of quality seafood, it included a few pieces of surimi sticks, which felt really cheap for the price we paid. Definitely not what you’d expect from a premium pizza. Not recommended if you're a seafood lover.

I rated this restaurant 5 stars a year ago. Unfortunately I have to adjust that. As always, delicious cuisine. The pasta, the calzone, the wine, the dessert, delicious. But the service has changed but not improved... A selection of what went wrong. We were 5 people (reserved) and were not escorted to our table. From the bar we pointed to our table, which was set for 4 people. The 1st course was served within 5 minutes after the aperitif. When we asked for cutlery, because it was set for 4 people and not for 5, the waitress made a long face. We got the impression she was annoyed that we asked for it. Plates were passed over guests and not served. After the main course we were asked if we wanted to hand over the plates. Because the table had to be cleared. During dessert the waitress came by and asked us if we wanted to hand over the empty glasses. Mind you, there was enough room around our table for her to walk around us. But apparently that was too much effort. When we left, the 3 waitresses were talking together at the bar. No one bothered to escort us out. Because of the not so good service I decided not to tip. While I normally always keep 8 to 10% of the amount as a tip. Apparently that didn't go down well. My 75 year old father-in-law turned around at the door. Just in time to see one of the waitresses sticking her tongue out at us. What disrespectful behavior and reason for this review! As I started, this restaurant has a very good kitchen. But because of this disrespect we will not return here.

Met onze kleinzoon uit eten geweest. Wij waren hier een jaar geleden geweest. Toen was het goed! Nu UITSTEKEND!! Het eten de bediening alles was heel erg goed. We wachten zeker niet weer een jaar. Wij verwachten met 6 tot 8 weken!

Friendly staff who serve you not-so-great pizzas in a dated interior.

Ordered a pizza that was tasty but extremely expensive. The pizza was supposed to be spicy but there was nothing spicy about it. The pizza salami was a pizza margarita. Average Pizza costs about 17 euros while they are worth a maximum of 14 euros.

Cozy pizzeria with delicious food. The disadvantage is the waiting time when the restaurant is full and there is a lot of takeaway. The space is also very small (as many people as possible in the small space). However, the food and friendly service make up for it.

A delicious spicy calzone. Just the hustle and bustle... every cm2 has been used in this small restaurant. And a toilet that is difficult to reach.

What a delicious meal I had! I had the Lasagna dal forno (from the oven). It was a well-filled meal that was rich in flavors. Although they only have 1 red (primitivo) and 1 white wine (pinot Grigio) on the menu, and it took a while for someone to come to us, this Italian restaurant left a positive impression. I will definitely return here!

You can eat the best four-cheese pizza here. The bread with herb butter beforehand is also very tasty. The owner also always walks around the restaurant for a friendly chat.

A restaurant where you have to sit down BEFORE you are hungry. By the time the meal is reserved, you are really hungry. We knew from previous experiences that the waiting time is always quite long. But go ahead; If you sit down at 8 p.m., you can expect it to be less busy in the restaurant. That turned out to be the case. The drinks were still going well. But after waiting more than an hour, still no pasta on the table!! Hey, we're not going to sit there to fill the room. If you express your dissatisfaction to the owner, he says that the food will be ready in 3 minutes!!!! can be prepared. Yes of course, but for us this restaurant was over. Must say: the owner did his best to make up for it by offering the food for free. Nice, but that's not what we're looking for at all. We just wanted to eat. How simple can it be. Read in other reviews that we are not the only ones have experiences with long waiting times. Too bad, how difficult can it be to serve your customers well. And just to be clear; there was enough waiting staff present.

We still had to eat around 9:30 PM and ordered a pizza on the terrace. The pizza itself was delicious, well seasoned and a good base. We found the service a little less, the ladies made you wait a long time. We thought that was a shame. We didn't ask how the food was or if we wanted anything to drink. Ask everything yourself...! The owner (we think) walked by and was extremely friendly and also asked how the food was and then whether it tasted good. All-in-all a nice restaurant to sit outside on the terrace. Quiet and good food.

First waited for a suitable table, then waited 20 minutes to order and then waited another 20 minutes for drinks. Food took a little longer, but we already saw that around us. Boy runs his legs out from under his body. Food was just okay! Chairs on the terrace are not comfortable and why not tables with adjustable legs?

Boring food, unfortunately not as ordered. You then wait 1 hour for this.

Prima gegeten, goede sfeer hangt er als je binnenkomt en het zat er vol. Maar het eten is niet het goedkoopst en de bediening was niet allemaal even vrolijk (kortaf).

Best to avoid this place. Made us wait an hour for two simple vegetarian pizzas. This knowing that we have a four year old waiting food. Unprofessional and unfriendly. Served others who came after us while making us wait all the time. Time would be better spent elsewhere when looking to dine without stress.

Came across this restaurant by chance. Atmosphere and service are great and the food was excellent. We are quite picky, but the pizzas, pastas and saltimbanco were delicious. Food was beautifully presented and although bruchettos were not on the menu, they were also made for us. In short: we had a good meal and will definitely come back here!

We used to come here regularly and although some times were better than others, we were still looking forward to dining here again after 8 years. What a disappointment! The pizza was good, you can't say anything about that. That's always been the case. But the pasta was the culprit again. Very bland in taste, which could not be improved even with the addition of quite a bit of salt and pepper. But the aftertaste was.... Not nice! We think that the cream sauce was not sufficiently reduced, resulting in poor taste and structure. A thin, strange tasting cream sauce, with absolutely no cream flavor at all. Too bad, because that could really be improved.

Price/quality not in proportion

Pasta Poker was a lot less tasty than last time. Pasta had thickened because it had been in the sauce for too long. Caprese salad with regular mozzarella instead of buffalo mozzarella is simply less tasty...

Just picked up Calzone Speciale and pizza Parma; both very tasty as always! Crispy base, sufficiently topped/filled, very tasty

Food was delicious. Large portions and well-filled pizzas. Very friendly staff. The space is just a bit tight for the amount of people, hence not the full five stars.

I've been coming here for over 15 years and it's always great. The tastiest pizzas in Gorinchem and surrounding areas can be found here! Recommended!

Wanneer je binnenloopt ruikt het super lekker naar verse oven pizza’s. De bediening ontvangt je vriendelijk in het sfeervolle restaurant. Gedateerde locatie en erg schattig, ik koos voor een Aubergine gerecht. Mega aanrader en vullend: Melanzane alla Parmigiana. De kaas was overheerlijk net zoals tomatensaus. Vergelijkbaar met een vegetarische lasagne.

Very comfortable little restaurant with awesome food!! We had 2 Pizzas and a mixed salad and we were very satisfied! We will come again!

The pizza Pollo and Carpaccio tasted very good. We shared half of both. I felt like it was a little understaffed in terms of service. Perhaps this was due to the nice weather.

Salmon pasta tasted like canned sardines. Normally it is fresh shredded salmon or freshly smoked salmon.

Het is hier altijd wel lang wachten op je eten, maar deze keer duurde het ruim een uur voor de voorgerechten er waren. Toen we er na een uur naar vroegen werd er vreemd gekeken. Dat men ons vergeten was bleek wel uit het voorgerecht met lauwe i.p.v. gekoelde zalm. Bij het uithalen deelde de bediening namens de kok fijntjes mee dat onze hoofdgerechten er zo aankwamen. Het eten is prima, maar voorlopig komen we hier niet meer.

Nice restaurant, tasty pizzas and pasta. Nice staff. Real Italian. With a beautiful view of the illuminated church. After a day at Efteling, stopover towards Friesland. Was a good choice!

Food fine, service does its best but could be much better, atmosphere not special.

Delicious food and super attentive service.

I always take the calzone ;) it's super tasty there ;) Sometimes they are frugal with ingredients and last time bolognaise sauce looked like tomato soup. But I will remain a regular customer ;) even though I also find it expensive ;)

Heerlijk gegeten op een fijne plek, met hele vriendelijke mensen die graag een stapje extra voor je zetten. Er hing een hele gezellige sfeer in het restaurant en we hebben ontzettend van alle gerechten genoten. Zeker de pasta ai funghi is hier een aanrader!

We had a delicious meal here and everyone helped us very friendly. The food was hot and the pizza tasted very good. The desserts were also excellent. The only downside was that the interior needed a makeover in some places. But that didn't spoil the fun for us. In our opinion, highly recommended.

Goed eten maar erg langzame bediening. Als er te weinig persoon is zou je bezorging even op hold moeten zetten zodat de gasten niet zolang hoeven te wachten.

Fantastische plek! Zalig diner gehad. Ik heb er op zaterdagavond rond 19.00u met mn partner gegeten. Natuurlijk is het dan wat drukker. Bijna alle tafeltjes, binnen en buiten waren bezet. Het was een vd laatste dagen van de ‘Gorinchemse zomerfeesten’ dus overal was t lekker druk. Ik bestelde pasta carabonara en m’n partner ‘de beroemde carpaccio’, volgens de opmerkelijk vriendelijke ober. Bleek later de dochter vd eigenaar te zijn. Maar nu over t eten. Za-lig! Veel ervaring voor nodig om zo lekker te koken. Goed gekookte pasta, voldoende roomsaus (met ei, kruiden, juiste kaas etc…. en lekkere stukjes mals spek. We kregen er verse broodjes warm uit de oven bij met zelf gemaakte kruidenboter. Alleen hierom (de verrukkelijke broodjes) al zou ik er weer graag eens langsgaan. Maar voor de hoofdgerechten ook zeker. Het wachten meer dan waard. Je proeft dat alles vers is en met aandacht wordt bereid. Absolute aanrader dit restaurant!

Heerlijk eten en super goede service

Had lasagne en mijn metgezel spaghetti. Het eten was prima en lekker, alleen duurde het een uur voordat ik het voorgerecht kwam. Vond ik te lang. Hoofdgerecht werd wel snel na voorgerecht opgediend. Porties vond ik persoonlijk iets te groot en presentatie van het bord was ver te zoeken, zeg maar gerust geen. Personeel was vriendelijk maar onzorgvuldig. Ze waren het bestek vergeten toen het eten werd opgediend. Ook de lepel van het voorgerecht werd niet vervangen, hierom moeten vragen (meerdere malen). Ook handtissues in het toilet waren op. Dit aangegeven en zou geregeld worden. Bij tweede bezoek sanitair na dinner was dit nog steeds niet geregeld. Wel 43 opgestapelde rollen wc papier aanwezig (niet geschikt voor drogen handen). Vond ik geen visitekaartje. Restaurant zelf eenvoudig sfeervol ingericht (mooie landschap schilderijen) maar niet echt praktisch qua indeling. Kijk zelf niet graag naar een muur. Prijs kwaliteit is dit Italiaans restaurant goed, daarom ook druk met afhalen op de zondag.

Geweldige tent, fijn personeel en vooral echt heel erg goede pizza's.

Personal ist freundlich bemüht. Wir warteten sehr lange auf unser Essen (über 1 h). Dann kam erst eine Pizza und die zweite 10 min später. Bei einer größeren Gruppe am Nachbartisch konnten nicht alle gleichzeitig essen und es kamen mehrere falsche Gerichte. Pizza war sehr lecker.

Heerlijk gegeten bij restaurant Pizzaria La Fontana. Toen we binnen kwamen werden we warm verwelkomt en mochten we een tafeltje uitkiezen. De serveerders waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Een leuke toevoeging was dat mijn vrouw (nu zwanger) een bakje fruit vroeg als dessert (stond niet op de kaart) en wat ze kreeg was een fleurig bord met fruit! Erg leuk! We hebben echt genoten en dit is voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar.

Hier geen verbrand stukje op de pizza gezien. Ze waren allemaal prachtig en lekker. De lekkerste pizza daar gegeten.

Vriendelijke bediening. Op mijn pizza miste ik essentiële ingrediënten. Bovendien stond de de muziek van Andrea Bercelli wel erg hard.

Het eten is erg lekker en betaalbaar!! wel vind ik het jammer dat je er altijd ontzettend lang op je eten moet wachten!!
