The pork ribs and pasta are both delicious and inexpensive. The most important thing is that the boss is also very friendly! The beer recommended by the boss is also delicious

The food was enough to make you cry with happiness.

The service is quite fast, but the Dutch they speak isn't very good. It's a nuisance. A glass of (children's) juice/lemonade costs €2.50! Watermelon flavor. Huh?! And then they think it's strange that children don't like it.

We were actually dropped off wrong for a boat trip. Luckily we had enough time for a cup of coffee on the terrace, it looked very inviting. Inside and outside looked very well cared for and the service is excellent. The coffee tasted delicious too!

I made a dinner reservation here with moderate expectations. Although the food was satisfactory, the service could have been improved. Our waitress was pleasant and amiable, and she tried her best to accomodate us, but there was a considerable delay, approximately 45 minutes, before our complete order arrived. Furthermore, despite the warm weather outside, the restaurant's interior felt excessively hot. The absence of fans or air conditioning adda to the discomfort.

We stopped by this place before our boat ride for quick drinks and picnic takeaway. The food was nice and the service was top notch. Staff were very friendly and cooperative despite us being in a hurry. Highly recommended.

The boat tour was great. Good guide who despite his age of 20 did a great job.

Opposite is the place to take the boat. The overall space allows you to choose whether to sunbathe or not. It is very comfortable.

Even though we made a reservation for umbrella and boat three days in advance, they did not help us, although they offered service to everyone who came before us and adjusted their boots. They made us wait 1 hour and 20 minutes and said they made us wait because they had to install the umbrella because they couldn't install it, but they made us wait exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes and said the boat would arrive any time and their employees were INCREDIBLY RUDE. We visited this restaurant during our trip to Giethoorn. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, the person who took our orders, an older lady, was very rude and aggressive plus a long waiting time. We understand that busy days can bring a lot of pressure, but treating customers poorly is not acceptable. The food itself was ok, with a price-to-quality ratio that was more or less fair. The location was good and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. A mixed experience, the setting and most of the staff made it enjoyable, but the rude service left a negative impression.

Food is suck I think they don’t know how medium rare steak look like. Just imagine you have to pay 85€ for this piece of chewy steak and nobody takes responsibility of it just say sorry with the insincere face. (Some staffs is good tho)

The restaurant environment is clean and comfortable. Sitting by the window, you can see the canal and boats coming and going, and the atmosphere is leisurely and comfortable. I ordered grilled ribs, fries and salad, and the overall performance was good, especially the ribs, which were slightly charred on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the portion was sincere. The fries are crispy and don't smell like oil; the salad is fresh and refreshing, and the accompanying sauce is refreshing and not greasy. The service staff are friendly and have no problem communicating in English, but the food delivery speed is a bit slow, but it is reasonable in a village with this pace. It is suitable for a lunch that is not in a hurry and enjoy the slow life of Giethoorn. Overall, it is a restaurant worth trying, especially suitable for relaxing after taking a boat trip on the canal.

A great combination here you can rent a boat or take a tour, have morning coffee, lunch and dinner. March is not yet the beginning of the season, and it is a real quest to find coffee in the morning! Wonderful Xmas eve dinner at restaurant today! Tomahawk was great value and doneness exactly as we wanted. Kudos to the team! Red wine Cab Sauv was good and so was the French onion soup

2024/10/23 Lion Travel Agency arranges a river cruise in Giethoorn (big boat 250 €) followed by a meal at the restaurant next to it. The service staff have charming smiles. Hot soup, salad, French fries and pork ribs are all good. You can try a variety of beers (5 €/bottle)👍 It's a pity that there was heavy fog when we came. The scenery would be better if there was no fog.

When I discussed this matter with the staff, the amount was not refunded until after a long discussion, and they only returned €2 instead of the full amount. Please take the necessary steps to avoid repeating such mistakes and guarantee the rights of customers. Please ensure accuracy at the checkout and review the receipt carefully. I was served sparkling water as a courtesy, which I did not request, but it was added to the bill for 3.50 euros. When I raised the issue with the staff, they initially refused to refund the full amount and only returned 2 euros after some discussion. I would appreciate it if steps could be taken to prevent such errors and ensure that customers’ rights are respected.

Unfortunately, my experience with this place was terrible. The staff lacked courtesy and respect for customers. They only seemed interested in taking our money without providing any real service.i came from Germany und rented a boat for a 3-hour water tour in Giethoorn for €170. First, we had to wait for an hour because there was no boat available. Then, after 45 minutes, the boat malfunctioned, moving very slowly. When we contacted the person in charge, Joey, he suggested cleaning the motor blades, i asked him to come and check, and when he arrived, he said the blades were fine and that he had activated an additional speed for the boat so we could continue. He also told us that if we faced any further issues, he would change the boat. Later, the boat stopped entirely in the middle of the lake, and when I asked for a replacement, Joey said no other boats were available, only to find out later that there were multiple boats at their center. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, Joey was rude and only offered €50, claiming we had used the boat for two hours. My overall experience was horrible, and I would never recommend this place. Avoid it if you don't want to be scammed

The staff gave you good instructions on the boat ride and it was fun to explore Venice in the Netherlands

Rented a sloop with sunroof because we wanted something more luxurious, great boat, quiet and reasonably comfortable, expected better service, boat was not ready at the start of the rental time slot, they first wanted to give us the wrong (much cheaper) boat. Very unmotivated, she was not that interested, explanation about the boat very brief, the boy who gave 'explanation' has no knowledge of boats/sailing at all

They hustle to sell you boat rental for 160 euro minimum two hours with a captain. The captain is a 15 year old kid who does not know anything. And they charged 320 euro for a terrible boat ride in a a vey small canal . You can rent it yourself for 30 euro and get the same or better experience . I tried to rent on my own and they convinced us that we need a captain and a tour guide to learn about history etc .. what a joke !! Not to mention they were selling very aggressively for a much bigger and more expensive boat!!!! It’s a con shop be an are of anything they offer. I did not expect this from Netherlands!

Horrible boat rental experience. They charged us 160 E per hour..minimum 2 and it was a joke. The captain (a kid) didn't really explain anything about the area. The boat was going so slow we ended up returning since so boring. Scam!!!

We had a cup of coffee on the terrace. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the staff (of the boat rental) was continuously abused by a boss? A man wearing a bicycle helmet) Very unfriendly, shouting at the staff. Several people continuously looked up and mentioned this to each other. Sad for the staff. Not a nice atmosphere. The man ranted on the terrace but also inside. This seemed like a slave driver.

The food and the ulcer were great and the people were very friendly. Definitely recommended for something to eat and drink for a good price.😁

Bad, unfriendly, long wait for a bread board with bitterballen garnish, just wanted to leave after 45 minutes, then a bowl of bitterballen arrived and the rest came after 15 minutes. We also saw people who just left after the drinks. Oh yes, it wasn't busy at that time.

We rented a luxury sloop for 10 people. We arrived later and had called about this. Once we arrived it was chaotic, we had to wait half an hour until someone came and pointed out the boat to us. We had a sloop with a hood, which we left in place for a fee. When we return, a young man indicates that the hood is broken and we have to pay for it. I have indicated that we did not encounter anything, that we did not do it. He doesn't believe it and kept saying in a BRUTAL tone that we did it. Can you prove it then? no. But a little respect for your customer is hard to find here!!! For us it's not about the money, it's about the way you are treated and money grabs. We wanted to eat with 10 people, but we certainly didn't do that again and will never come back here. In the end you got much more than the deposit and everything for the so-called broken hood.

We ate grilled fish although something expensive turned out to be normal and not spectacular as we expected due to the smell of the grill. But Carpaccio took the 20 points. Keeping in mind the restaurant is expensive from what I could see. The girl who attended us was very very kind.

Staff were incredibly rude and we ordered 2 mains and it was supposed to have 2 portions of chips/fried with it but we only got 1 it was apparently their 'culture' and it was overpriced for a only mid meal this was a really bad experience , there was at least like 4-5 like buses full of people for guided tours which made most attention on them not us the food took super long as well.Make sure to AVOID the woman with glasses and white hair she is super mean.The others are fine but are still kinda rude except the young girl with black hair. Our check can put to 175+.

What a sad guy that guy from the boat rental is. When we left Holland Venice with our own boat, the gentleman didn't think that was okay and he threw an empty champagne bottle at the boat. and then swearing along the quay for a while on a scooter... 4 completely upset children in the boat, a bit of a shame about our beautiful day with friends and kids. It's a nice family business, but I would leave this crazy guy on the couch at home.

A while ago, we had dinner at the restaurant. To be honest, it is one of the best restaurants in the Netherlands so far. We ordered a very delicious mushroom soup, wonderful garlic bread and cheese, and steak for two people. Excellent doneness, a wonderful atmosphere, and very elegant service. After dinner, we had a shisha, which was not the best thing. But the atmosphere and the splendor of the place overshadowed everything else. A good experience. Halal food was available, and the owner of the restaurant was present and did the work himself, and his morals were high. The restaurant’s prices were a little high, but this is the situation in all of Europe. I would like to thank the owner of the restaurant and I hope that I will visit it next time and it will be at the same level or better. I wish you success.

A crazy owner just accuses you of damage to a random boat and then has the nerve to try to send you away from a public parking lot.

We do not use the restaurant structure, only for boat trips. Price €12.50 per person for a 1.5 hour tour. We were told that we couldn't be late as the boat would leave on time. We arrived five minutes early and had to wait 15 minutes to leave. The tour was interesting, but few explanations were given by the captain.

We called 15 minutes in advance for dinner with 14 people and they arranged it great!! a meat and fish platter, more than enough and very friendly employees!!

I ordered two appetizers and the same main course, and the total cost was 64.5 euros. The portion is huge and can't be finished. Maybe it’s because I lost my appetite after sailing in Giethoorn and being exposed to the sun all day. The weather is very hot today, with the highest temperature reaching 29 degrees Celsius. Since the restaurant has no air conditioning, it also affects the appetite. But the food was really delicious, so I finished it all in the end. The waiters were very polite and took the initiative to take photos for us, which made us have a pleasant dining experience. Thank you!

Go your way for a boat rental!!! Above all, never make a reservation before your arrival. With disastrous weather, we were unfortunately unable to take advantage of this activity and the boss offered absolutely nothing in return (no postponement and no refund) So we lost €85!!! And what's more, the boats shown in photos on the site do not correspond to the boats on site!! To flee ….

Ideally located to then take a boat trip. The setting is really nice. Being a group, we are seated in a large room at the back of the restaurant. The menu offers various dishes.

He explained to us about the source of the meat and the chef responsible for cooking it, who is a Muslim and comes from Bosnia. Display restaurant certificates. Family has booked a package here. The service from the morning on was top notch, super friendly, helpful kids/young people who work at the rental chopper/upstairs (and work hard!) Restaurant lunch great! We all had a very nice meal. There was a man (believed to be the owner) walking around there with quite an attitude and spoke to his staff in a very rude manner! Bad staff who try very hard! Then you already know what the atmosphere is like! Pity! Boat trip was great!! Recommended because it is well organized and clean. What could be better in this case? Furthermore, the owner/management should behave better towards his staff!

Delicious food. Service very young and international. We ordered Irish coffee and got iced coffee. Also delicious. We left it that way because it is tasty too. (It was a cold, wet spring day, ice coffee didn't make sense to me). But all in all, it was a delicious meal and we will make it clearer next time.

The spareribs look pretty good on the pictures but they don’t match the taste of it. The ribs are not bad but also far from wanting to order it a second time. The meat is very less and it’s not tender.. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. I think I would go again but then order another dish.
