Ate here with a large group last week. SanSiro ​​is a nice but small business in the heart of Utrecht. The service was great, your glass was not yet empty before you were asked for something else to drink. Due to the size of the group we had a 4 course dinner, the second course of which was the ravioli and the cod was also fantastic. Just a pity that the tiramisu for dessert was a letdown. But otherwise definitely a restaurant to eat again.

Absolutamente increíble comida, en un entorno muy sofisticado y un servicio súper amable y servicial! He pedido un plato de entrada mixto y osso bucco. El personal fue tan amable cuando les dije que no como cerdo, por lo que no podía tener el prosciutto habitual, etc. como parte de mi plato de entrada, se esforzaron por reemplazarlo con equivalentes de carne de res. Cada bocado fue increíble, especialmente la carne era tierna y rica en sabor! Un restaurante perfecto en Utrecht.

San Siro is great: very friendly people, delicious food, and cozy tent. We had a party there for 50 people and they organized a great (vegan!) walking dinner upstairs. Really great!

A little fancier than we expected, but absolutely TOP. Every dish is meant to be truly enjoyed and prepared with great care. The staff here is very friendly and cooperative. Price-quality is also completely fine here.

Prettige en duidelijk hartelijke en gastvrije ontvangst. Goede, aandachtvolle bediening. Prima kaart met 2, 3 of 4 gangen keuze en tegelijk a la carte flexibiliteit, uitstekend. Mooie gerechten, goed porties (vooral niet te klein, heel goed). Niet de goedkoopste, maar zeker waar voor het geld. Méér dan de moeite waard om terug te komen.

Werken in het buitenland is altijd een beetje "eenzame zelfverwenning". Vanavond koos ik voor een Italiaans restaurantje dat al lang op mijn to-go lijstje stond omdat het geregeld in veel lijstjes 'top 10 beste Italiaan van Nederland' opduikt en jaar na jaar een erkenning krijgt van de Accademia Italiana della Cucina en my god, nu weet ik ook waarom! Voor de fans: Ik startte met een antipasto: gemarineerde tonijn met een bieslookcrème, gekonfijte artisjok, venkel, krokant van 'Nero di Seppia' en bottarga olie. Gevolgd door een primo: ravioli van traaggeraad vleesje met een truffelbotersaus en uitgebakken pancetta. Als secondo koos ik na veel keuzestress voor de roodbaars. Die kwam met een canelloni, gevuld met gamba, koolrabi, in een sausje van langoustines. Bovenop ligt trouwens oesterblad. Ik kende het niet, maar dat is dus een plant die exact als een zilte oester smaakt! Een dolce was al niet meer nodig, maar puur voor de goesting en na het enthousiasme van de zeer gastvrije bediening, probeerde ik de suggestie van de chef en jawel, het was de extra buikinspanning waard: zacht gegaarde appel in 'Licor 43' (oké, dat is eigenlijk Spaans), mousse van melkchocolade, pecannoten en een ijsje van Baileys. Voor de nog meer fans: Natuurlijk mochten aangepaste wijntjes niet ontbreken. Bij de antipasto kwam een Pecorino uit de Le Marche, bij de primo een Montepulciano uit opnieuw de Le Marche (omdat ik daar al eens op vakantie ben geweest, wou ik er wel een tweede 😉), bij de secundo een Chardonnay uit de Friuli-streek (ik had er nog nooit van gehoord, dus wou wel eens proeven) en bij het nagerechtje een Ottenuto Da Uve Passite uit dezelfde Friuli (want ik vond de vorige wijn wel lekker). En voor de echte nog meer fans: Jazeker sloot ik af met een lekkere espresso en grappa. Een riserva, op sherryvaten gerijpt, van het bekende huis Sibona uit de Piemonte. Wie ooit in Utrecht is, mag dit restaurant niet voorbij laten gaan. Van start tot finish ronduit uitstekend, met een vriendelijke en deskundige bediening, ook voor eenzame mensen. 😉

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Utrecht! The people at Mother Goose where we were staying recommended this place for dinner. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious! We both had their signature ravioli dish and it was incredible. The ravioli was stuffed with tender delicious roast beef and the savory cream sauce was beyond delicious! For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was a wonderful way to finish the dinner, Of course, the wine selection was good, too!

Very cozy restaurant. I saw some reviews that it was expensive, but we had a nice time here with 6 people from afternoon to evening and the bill was not too bad.

You can enjoy surprisingly delicious food in this restaurant. The information about what you can eat is good. The menu is limited but there is plenty of choice for every (Italian) taste. There are also matching wines. The service is good, the restaurant looks cozy. Disabled guests who want to visit the toilet must take into account a steep staircase.

Op een van de laatste mooie dagen van de zomer in Nederland heerlijk uitgebreid zitten lunchen. De kaart was niet groot maar wel met variatie. De gerechten waren verrukkelijk Als voorgerecht de Antipasta San Siro een aantal heerlijk gerechtjes bij elkaar echt smullen bij een goed glas wijn. Als hoofdgerecht de Ravioli met stoofvlees en de Spaghetti Frutti de mare genomen. heerlijke gerechten met zorg en vakkundig klaargemaakt. Het fietste over je tong zal ik maar zeggen. Ook het nagerecht Sgroppino viel bij ons bijzonder in de smaak. Prima vriendelijke bediening op een mooi terras waar het heerlijk mensen kijken is. We hebben ons uitstekend vermaakt. Ik kan dit restaurant iedereen echt aanraden. Wel van te voren reserveren anders zal er weinig plek zijn.

I had the carpaccio, ravioli, and finished with tiramisu, and every single dish was absolutely excellent – just like in Italy. Our server, Mathieu, was incredibly attentive. He presented the food with care, checked in to make sure we were happy with everything, and was genuinely delighted to see us finish our plates each time. And with food this delicious, it was no surprise! San Siro is truly a little slice of Italy in the heart of the Netherlands. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine with top-notch service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Friendly and welcoming staff! The food was nice and service was great. We were 8 people, mostly foreigners and everyone felt welcomed and liked the service and food. Would definitely recommend it. I wish there were more vegetarian and vegan options, but they agreed to make a custom vegan dish upon request, which I appreciate a lot.

ALWAYS GOOD!! Enjoy again. Old-fashioned hospitality, a very cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We really MISS the spaghetti aglio e olio, so fingers crossed that the chef will put it back on the menu (or secretly always make it available to order for regular guests ;-)). See you again soon!

Super delicious lunch with chef's menu. All 4 courses were very tasty and beautifully served. They take preferences and dietary requirements into account. Portions were more than sufficient. Nice waiter, quick and very knowledgeable. We sat on the terrace, unfortunately no sun. Good experience, good quality food and fine wines served (half glass arrangement also possible, great!). Worth repeating.

The San Siro restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our lunch took a bit longer because the waiting times between courses were significantly longer than expected. The food itself was OK, although nothing exceptional. Overall it was a pleasant visit, but you might want to allow a little more time for a quicker lunch.

I came here after spending a week in Sicily, because my friend wanted Italian food. You will receive a friendly welcome from a very nice owner/waiter? The food is delicious and authentic. Piccolo and grande versions of each dish. Piccolo is really small and grande is really big. Not exactly cheap, but the quality of the food reflects that.

The food was truly amazing. Italian how you would expect it. The service was phenomenal. Explanation about the food & really taking your time is central here. Furthermore, it is a very cozy restaurant. Are you in doubt? Do not! Book immediately!! We will definitely eat here more often.

When we made a reservation, we never expected this to happen. Pizza, pasta, nothing more. Nothing turned out to be further from the truth. Upon entering, the ambiance embraced us. Everyone greeted us enthusiastically. The table was set romantically, which pleased us, we immediately felt comfortable. We started with the wine. A wide range, where the fruity white wine really appealed to us. When we got the map in front of us, we didn't know which choice to make. We have been well advised. Afterwards we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes that were served in front of us. With icing on the cake a scroppino. It almost made me shed a tear, you can really wake me up for this. Now all the craziness in a nutshell. It was perfect, enjoy to the utmost.

We had a great evening here while in Utrecht. The premises are in the old town, full of character and charm. The upstairs was cool, in spite of it being a warm day. The service provided by Sebastian was excellent- he was attentive, articulate and engaging without being overwhelming . We thought the food was amazing in taste, presentation and originality. The chef accommodated a gluten free meal without fuss or complications. A definite recommendation for dinner out.

Very nice shop in Utrecht! Warm interior that really feels Italian. Professional service and good food. The food is somewhat experimental and not always classic Italian (or Italian at all), but very tasty and innovative. Had a small mistake where we were served cod like sea bass, but this can happen. Highly recommended

We had lunch and it was super tasty, especially the pasta is so tasty! You notice that the food is cooked with Italian passion. Everything is also explained and you don't often see that at a lunch. San Siro had pretty average, but not great food. It is rather expensive for the portions and taste you get. Also not authentic Italian food. The staff was quite nice though, and so was the decor.

Attractively decorated and friendly service. No five stars because of the mediocre ravioli with truffle butter sauce, which has a filling that is much too dry. The olive oil ice cream is highly recommended.

beautiful place. this is an Italian fusion restaurant. we were a large group (8 people) and had the three course menu. the menu itself does not have vegan options but they can accommodate to make the dishes vegan. there are several vegetarian options. in our set menu what I loved is that they adjusted the vegan option to be as close as the non vegan option everyone else was having, and was delicious (and beautifully presented) our host explained the dishes and was very friendly. we had a great time

I don't know about food, we didn't want to do that there. There was no room for a few hours of drinks on the terrace. We had to leave, they only accepted guests who came for lunch. You were also told that in a snarky tone. Shame. The tent looks nice and so does the food on guests' tables, but you don't really want to be here for the customer focus and friendliness. Or rather; not really. Here it's all about lining the restaurant's pockets.

Service was great. They knew exactly who had which dish (group of 13) and wines were served on time. Food was divine. We sat with the group from 1900-2300 and not once did we have to ask or indicate anything.
