Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. The service was absolutely unfriendly and seemed to serve us as if they were there reluctantly. Drinks were placed on the table with so much force that they came down with a loud thud. Additionally, we were served the wrong drinks. When we pointed this out, the response was indignant, and we were told that we must have ordered the wrong items, instead of simply looking for a solution politely. The food itself was okay, but certainly not special. The selection was also quite limited. Moreover, there were bones in my salmon with the sashimi, which is truly unacceptable. Thanks to Social Deal, the price was reasonable, but there are much better places in the same price range. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here. Furthermore, we suffered from stomach upset after the visit.

I've been there a few times. The food is acceptable, although the selection is very limited. Several of the staff seem to be there as a punishment and are downright rude. The cleanliness is very poor. The railings downstairs to the restrooms are disgustingly dirty. The two waitresses I dealt with today were a joke. Today was my last visit to this place. Overall, 3/10. Average food, no atmosphere, dirty. The price isn't amazing, but there are definitely better places around 40-50 euros. The only downside is the robotic service, but not always. I don't recommend it.

Staff (female) not really motivated (read: not really friendly); food was too salty, too dry, etc. (could be much better). Didn't trust the fish dishes or the sushi. I think it was beer, event beer. If you go to the toilet, you have to go down the stairs and you couldn't use the elevator; that's a downside for people with reduced mobility. And... the handrails going down were very sticky, just filthy. This boat just needs a thorough cleaning. I will definitely NEVER come back here.

Additionally, there was a lack of background music, making the atmosphere feel a bit unwelcoming. The chairs were also difficult to push in due to the floor, which was not very practical. All in all, a restaurant with a beautiful view and a nice concept, but there is still room for improvement regarding service, atmosphere, and the menu.

When you arrive, the exterior is super beautiful. The interior is gross. In my opinion, the staff is very vague. The food was very dirty; there was an open container with live lobsters in the middle of the restaurant. Everyone has a different taste regarding the appearance of the interior, but this was so awful, it stank so badly in my opinion! I have visited many all-you-can-eat places, a lot. We have never walked out before, but we sat inside here for 25 minutes and we just left. You might say it's a waste of money, but I'm never going there again; I found it so filthy. My glass was simply broken, a piece of glass was missing. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, and the food was so meager, more like deep-fried junk. I should have gone to a snack bar instead. The kitchen where the wok was prepared didn't look clean either. The staff were on their phones more than they wanted to help; they just stood with their backs to you. They also responded very curtly to us. Everyone has their own experience here, but this was our experience, really -1000. I don't understand why people come here!

Beautiful restaurant with a stunning interior and view. The buffet offers a lot of variety. The atmosphere is excellent, but the quality of some dishes, especially the fish, could be better. The price is also a bit on the high side.

I have never seen such limited choice in food. It was tasteless, odorless, simply terrible. After just one plate of food, my intestines started acting up. Never again for my husband and me. The service was terrible; the lady was just snapping at me, very unfriendly. Result: 0 stars

It's a shame that the meat is deliberately prepared very greasy and just a little too salty. So that (in our case) we get full quickly and feel nauseous just as fast if you keep eating. In my opinion, this is done on purpose so that people can only eat for 10 euros for those 40 euros. A very dirty trick, so no more Chinese boats for me.

Here you probably can't just go to the restaurant toilet for 2 Euros.

Very disappointing experience at Chinese Boot Rotterdam. We went here to eat to celebrate my son's graduation. We used to come here often and it was always good, but what a huge decline. The food was cold and of poor quality. The meat that still needed to be cooked looked dark, dry, and gray, so we didn't trust it and didn't eat it. The hot dishes were lukewarm to cold. My son ended up eating only fries and a frikandel because he didn't trust the rest. That pretty much says it all. Additionally, we saw someone at the wok station drinking from a container, then emptying it into the sink and putting the same container back. That gave us absolutely no sense of hygiene. Later that evening, my husband and I both became ill, with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Of course, I cannot prove with 100% certainty that this was caused by the food, but after this experience, you do make that connection. We contacted the restaurant immediately and asked for a suitable solution. Unfortunately, there has been no decent response or refund. For us, this was a major disappointment, especially since it was supposed to be a special evening for our son. In any case, we will not be returning here and unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

Yesterday I went to eat at the Chinese Boot and unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. We arrived around 9:05 PM. It turned out afterwards that the restaurant closed at 10:00 PM. I didn't know that, because I thought they would be open longer on Saturdays. That was my mistake. That is why, upon entering, we asked a staff member if they were still open. We were told that we could just eat. Normally, on weekends, you pay well over €40 per person for 2 hours of all-you-can-eat. For the two of us, that was about €80. We paid that amount immediately. But as soon as we were inside, we were rushed because the grill section was about to close. We had to eat our food hastily as if we only had five minutes. When we spoke to a staff member about this, the answer we received was that we just had to eat quickly. We really don't consider that good service. You could have honestly said: “We are closing in less than an hour, so it might not be worth going inside anymore.” Then we could have decided for ourselves. Instead, you just took our money, and we couldn't even eat peacefully for an hour, even though you pay for 2 hours of all-you-can-eat. As a ‘solution,’ we were given two containers to take home: one with nasi and one with shrimp. Sorry, but that doesn't make up for a bill of about €80. We didn't even finish it when we got home. I find this truly outrageous. The staff showed no understanding and didn't try to act with the customer. It seemed as if it was all about the money and not about good service. Be honest with your customers when they come in right before closing time, instead of charging the full price and then rushing them. For me, this was the first *and* the last time. Outrageous service, Chinese Boot.

The food was delicious, only the salmon sushi was rarely replenished. The ice cream was soft. The service was great.

You get exactly what you expect: plenty of everything, with a good, rich flavor. The price might seem high, but if you really dig in, you can get really good food and drinks for 2.5 hours for €10 per plate, which is more than enough. Nothing is missing, even if you have to wait for some items right when they open.

We had a super delicious meal here. The wok and grilling are my favorites. The sushi is also very fresh and tasty. Good, fast service from friendly staff.

Had a very nice Tuesday evening, received a friendly welcome, lots of choice at the buffet, most of it tasty, everything looks neat, nice service. Unfortunately, I got a headache that same evening and woke up at 2:00 AM with severe diarrhea; I think it was food poisoning. I would skip the mussels next time 😉 All in all, still worth repeating. Parking right outside is pricey, but you prepare yourself for that.

We were at De Chinese Boot in Rotterdam on June 27 around 8:00 PM for a business meeting with two international clients. We had rented a room, and everything was arranged excellently. My guests were very enthusiastic about the facilities, the friendly service, and the delicious food. The fish dishes, in particular, are highly recommended. The restrooms were also modern, clean, and well-maintained. Definitely a location to return to.

We had a private room and we were very early, so it was nice and quiet. We had a good meal there. The service was mixed. There were very friendly staff and one or two less friendly ones. All in all, a nice place to enjoy a good meal.

The website lists opening hours as 12:30 PM, but in reality, this restaurant opens at 5:00 PM. You traveled several hours from another city to get here, and then they send you to another restaurant where they can make 10 times more money off you. Learn to respect people, and then you'll have customers.👎🏻

It's hard to rate this establishment, because they have more than 1 restaurant and a hotel. I just want to rate the dim sum a la carte menu which is great. The only downside is the expensive parking, but that's not their fault.

We had a strange experience during our dinner on the boat. The exterior is very beautiful and fits well into the surroundings with the Euromast and the nature by the water. The interior, on the other hand, was less appealing. Very dull and not really atmospheric, including the staff. They were not exactly hospitable; there was no friendly welcome or dignified look. Additionally, these questions came to the table right before we finished: "What is your name?" We gave it and were told that they were looking for someone; however, we had already mentioned our name upon arrival, so it was a bit strange. They also didn't come by to take our drink orders. The food was questionable as to whether it could even be called food. Much of it was very lukewarm or dried out and tough. The selection wasn't exactly huge, but mostly a lot of fried snacks. Furthermore, it seemed as if the food had been sitting around a bit too long; both the satay and the Foe Yong Hai had a dried-out sauce layer, and the sushi was tough. Quite disappointing, especially for an Asian restaurant. I am afraid the family recipes were lost during the voyage to Rotterdam. All in all, a shame; there isn't much positive to mention except the view and the fact that it is a beautiful boat. Fortunately, there are several other restaurant boats!!

Large Chinese supermarket, very special

I am there right now. To be honest, I used to come here very often, but I haven't been for the last year. I think it is really going downhill; the food is cold, the meat is tough, as are the mussels, and the selection is getting smaller and smaller. They even put tomatoes next to the fruit. You almost have to beg for a drink and shout what you want from a distance. To be honest, I will never go here again, and the female staff are very unfriendly.

We came in and were greeted warmly! We received excellent assistance in choosing our dishes, which were all very tasty. We were given everything we couldn't finish in containers to take home.

Paid a bit less via Social Deal, it was okay, but the sushi rice was sticky, the meat mushy, and everything just not quite fresh. And the weird thing is, alcohol was included, but the 0.0 wasn't.

It wasn't a good evening. First of all, the atmosphere was old, loud, and small. The food was very small and extremely salty. It had absolutely nothing to do with seafood; there were only three types of fish. It was awful. Parking in front of the restaurant costs €6.45 per hour. The price was €40 per person, including drinks. So, a very bad all-you-can-eat experience.

Last week, I went out to eat there with my family. I didn't have any problems myself, but upon returning home, my wife had a stomach ache. It is now more than a week later, and it still hasn't been resolved. In fact, she hasn't been able to eat solid food. In the meantime, the doctor has diagnosed her with a bacterial infection that can take up to 2 weeks to resolve! It is clear that she contracted this bacterium at De Chinese Boot, since we had eaten the same thing before our arrival. I advise everyone to stay far away from here! Never, ever again for us! P.S. Perhaps the owners should first take a look at how things can be done properly, like at the A15 in Dordrecht, and stop making misplaced marketing!

We ate here with two people on a Saturday evening and reserved well in advance. We were seated in an aisle very close to other guests and people walking by; additionally, the table was incredibly small, which got the evening off to a bad start. There were no other options due to the crowds. What is also strange is that we had to pay in advance. At the buffet, it was absolute chaos, extremely crowded. You could barely serve yourself anything because there were constantly other guests standing in front of everything who showed absolutely no consideration for others. As for the food, it is “standard.” The food wasn't bad, but there was very little choice, and you can see that cheaper options were visibly chosen. For example, edamame beans were just pea pods, which is really unacceptable for the price you charge. Due to the crowds, you could barely hear each other; it was incredibly noisy, perhaps also because we were sitting in the aisle. We finished our drinks and left the place. The service was top-notch; tables were cleared quickly, the staff were friendly, and we received our drinks quickly. In short, I do not recommend this restaurant; for this price, there are plenty of places where quality can be found.

I am very disappointed by the a la carte restaurant upstairs. We went last night with a party of 5. The restaurant space was very large with only 4 tables occupied during the night and a total of 3 staff. Still they were not able to serve me the plate I ordered. In fact, I had to remind them I had not received any food. Of course by the time the food finally arrived, the rest of the party was finished and ready to go. Compensation offered you ask? They removed the plate I never ate from the bill. I am sorry but that is the most pour service I ever had. It makes sense though, seeing that the waiter was on his phone as soon as he finished taking orders. For that money and experience, better look for a nice dinner elsewhere.

I've been to a few different all-you-can-eat places and so far I'm only coming back here... I haven't been to any of the others a second time.

I was very disappointed because of the waitresses, who were truly exceptionally bad and also looked very grumpy. There were also guests who were not very friendly towards a minor. They cook the grilled meat and fish on the same griddle, which sometimes had too much salt/pepper on it, or the meat was very tough. Not recommended.

Discovered by chance because we were stuck in traffic heading towards the Erasmus Bridge and thanks to a hungry, thirsty toddler in the back seat on a Wednesday afternoon. We were here around 5 pm; everything was neat and clean, including the toilets. There was also a changing table in the ladies' restroom. The dishes, sushi, and desserts were tasty. I am pleasantly surprised. The only points for improvement are that the hostess couldn't manage a single smile; even my cheerful toddler didn't do anything for her. Such a small detail would make the experience truly top-notch. Also, we didn't receive our ordered drinks after the first few, something I have read about more often in the reviews now.

The quality of the food is in line with expectations. The staff are quick with taking and bringing drinks. But... why is everything sticky? The drinks menu on the table is truly disgusting, and this is the first thing you see in a restaurant. Not a pleasant first impression. The price-quality ratio is adequate. Certainly worth experiencing given the location, but for me, not something to return to.

I went there to do some grocery shopping. It is a very large Asian grocery store with a wide selection of rice, spices, and other items.

Disappointing. I first saw the reviews and photos and was very enthusiastic. First of all, it doesn't even look like the photos online. The boat was utterly devoid of atmosphere. There was an aquarium, but it was green and grimy, and those poor crabs and lobsters were in a truly filthy environment. The selection was anything but extensive. Everything on display was already incredibly cold. Never before had rice in a rice cooker been ice cold. All the meat? Ice cold. As I said, the selection was minimal. No music, no atmospheric lighting, and a very grumpy old Chinese woman wasn't helpful. Drinks were quickly ordered, but ultimately, nothing came. The young man behind the bar was very pleasant and friendly. He was completely disinterested in hygiene. The drink menus were stuck to every side. The seafood hadn't been cleaned, so you could see the seafood residue on the food, which really turned everyone off. After dinner, six of the entire group had left with stomach aches and food poisoning. I'm not writing this out of anger, envy, or anything like that. We're a group that doesn't complain easily, but this was FAR below par. Forewarned is forearmed. Don't go here with a large group, as you'll be uncomfortable.

my pregnant partner and 7 year old went down the steps to the toilet for the lady to switch the lights off while the were walking which scared my 7 year old and could of caused my girlfriend to trip, and told them it was broken the toilets. ( it wasnt , the sign on door said not open till 5pm but the door was open so the sign couldnt be seen till she shut it) she then said we could use the toilet on the otherside but then when we asked they said its not open to the public. its a shame they cant allow a heavily pregnant customer to use the toilet.

Was there anything on the valentines day, it was fabulous, very delicious food and many varieties, fish, shrimps, beef, lamp, honestly after i read few reviews here i was hesitating a bit but it worth every penny. Will definitely go there again 🫶🏻

Last Valentine's Day, I dined here with my family (6 people). Although the location on the water is beautiful and we had high expectations from TikTok, the experience was unfortunately a major disappointment. ​The downsides: ​Parking & Crowds: Parking near the boat is difficult and quite expensive. Inside, it was very cramped; we were tucked away in a small room in the back with barely any room to move. ​Waiting times: The buffets were chaotic. Because there was only one cook at a time at the wok and grill, long lines formed. The atmosphere wasn't made any more pleasant when people even started arguing about cutting in line. ​Food quality: The selection is limited (little meat/fish). The babi pangang bacon was so fatty that the oil leaked out with the first bite. It was also very cold in the restaurant, so the food on your plate was cold within minutes. ​Dessert hygiene: This was the last straw for me. The ice cream was almost gone, the profiteroles were still frozen, and no one paid any attention to children who were touching the cakes with their fingers. The staff didn't intervene, which immediately made my appetite disappear. ​The pros: The drink service was prompt, and empty plates were cleared quickly. The meat, fish, and vegetables that the chef prepared fresh on the spot (once it was your turn) were also very tasty. ​Conclusion: For €39.95 per person, you really should expect more. There are much better "world restaurants" in the region where the quality, space, and hygiene are better. For us, this was the first, but also the last time.

Wow, what a unique experience! We had a delicious meal on this beautiful Chinese boat. Everything was incredibly neat and sparkling clean, which immediately gave us a nice feeling. The food was truly delicious and authentic. The best detail was the robot that came to serve the drinks—super funny and efficient! What makes this place truly special is the location on the water with an amazing view of the Meuse. We were able to watch those huge, impressive ships sailing past all afternoon; truly a beautiful sight. It was a 10/10 experience, both for the food and the view. Tàibàngle (太棒了 - Fantastic)!

Everything was fine! We sat by the window in a nice restaurant on a stationary boat in the shape of a Chinese house, so it creates a nice atmosphere in the evening. The food was okay, and the desserts were very tasty.

Never before have we experienced such a small, expensive wok restaurant where the food was also so disappointing. Little selection, tasteless, and cheap, high-quality meat. We left within an hour, disappointed! Such a shame! Never again!! The trip lasted longer than our stay. Leiderdorp is 100% better!!

What a terrible all-you-can-eat restaurant. Let's start with the food. It was truly awful; much of the food was cold and old, and the cake and donuts at the dessert buffet were frozen. Then the hygiene was truly awful in so many ways. The staff were incredibly rude and unfriendly; we had to wait half an hour for our first drink. We had to wait another half hour for our second drink, even though we had the drinks-inclusive package. It was utterly antisocial. While I was having my food cooked at the tepynaki, my partner was pestered four times to ask who we were and under what name we'd made the reservation. Finally, my meat was ready, but the "chef" had thrown my meat and someone else's on one plate. So we had to sort it out ourselves. When I asked where my steak was, he shrugged and said, "Just get a new one." I'd been standing there for 15 minutes, guess what? And to top it all off, I went to the restroom, and guess what, there was no light; it was broken. So I'd say don't spend your money here; it's a waste! We often eat all-you-can-eat, but I've never experienced anything like this before!

The Chinese boat is moored in Rotterdam, and using the Social Deal app, you can get an evening buffet with food and drinks for €31.95. It's absolutely delicious. They offer Asian dishes as well as steak, a wide variety of salads, and other items. Drinks, including hot chocolate and tea, are free. The only downside is that you have to pay €14 for parking for about 2.5 hours.

A hotel, a Chinese restaurant, a buffet place and a supermarket - all on this boat. We were having a day trip in Rottedam and randomly looked for food after passing through the museums and the park. I also had hesitation in the beginning because of the mixed review on different facilities, especially against the hotel. But our experience in the Chinese restaurant on level 2 was surprisingly good. We went around 2pm and ordered a few dim sum which were served in bamboo streamers. Living in Hong Kong for decades and London for a few years, I could say dim sum here is on par. One portion of congee can serve 5 to 6 bowls which filled up to our throats.

The food is good and the price for the all you can eat and drink buffet is quite good. You definitely have to get meats and fish to be grilled at that time otherwise it's not worth going. Service is average. The drinks included in the price are soft drinks, beers, wine, coffee, water, tea and others. As a space and location, not as special as one would think. It doesn't look much like a ship or boat floating on the river but a large solid structure.

The food quality is very low; the recipes are of a very poor standard. I think the quality of this place has declined significantly. It might seem like a fair price for a buffet, but this is a very mediocre buffet. I recommend not going if you don't want to waste your money.

This place is definitely better than most wereldrestaurant’s that we have been to (and we have tried a lot of those in this country). The food was really fresh and well seasoned, and the salmon was the most tender and juiciest salmon I’ve ever had. The service was also very friendly. Reminds me of old Hong Kong in the 80’s/90’s, I really love it!

Yesterday we celebrated a birthday with you. Everything was fine until the end, but what happened next was unacceptable. During the last 12 minutes of our paid time, we were still in the private area: guests were using the restroom, coats were still in the room, and we were still waiting for drinks that had been ordered well in advance. Yet, staff repeatedly told us to leave in a very hurried and aggressive tone because "they needed the space." When we indicated that we were still entitled to this time and our order, cleaners were sent in with carts and literally started cleaning around us, talking loudly and with other customers who were standing in the doorway watching. This happened while we were still in the middle of a birthday party. This treatment was disrespectful, demeaning, and extremely unprofessional, and completely ruined all the positive impressions. Very disappointing. Definitely not to be repeated.

The food had no flavor and the chicken was disgusting. The staff was very unfriendly. It also smelled where we were sitting.

Food poisoning After eating here, half of us got food poisoning. It's been six days now, and we still haven't fully recovered. The food was too cold.

The food was served cold. The staff were somewhat friendly. The other employees present were not particularly cheerful and didn't have a welcoming vibe. My experience at this restaurant, on a scale of 1 to 10, is a meager 3. The food wasn't very tasty and was heavy on the stomach.

The food is not very varied and not tasty, or spicy or tasteless. Nice atmosphere and efficient service. But overall, it's not worth it and I don't recommend it.

I went here once and I didn't like it at all. The food was terrible, the service was terrible. It cost 80 euros and there wasn't even a juice menu. I'll never go back and I wouldn't recommend it to you either.

The food was cold, old, and just plain bad... The staff, with the exception of a few, were unfriendly. We came with high expectations, but they were completely unmet. Little variety and a general slump. Totally not worth €36.95.

Never come here again. Two unfriendly women lean on the bar, asking from five meters away what you want to drink. Not a good calling card for your company. The robot, however, was very friendly. The food was mediocre, not really warm. All in all, 1 star.

Of all the all-you-can-eat restaurants in the Rotterdam area, this is by far the worst. Little selection, cold food, unfriendly chefs, and annoying that you have to order drinks instead of getting them yourself.

Bad food, cold food, awful music in the background, most of the staff looked like they hated their jobs, and the lobsters seemed to be slowly dying without your money. PS, the robot was okay. Highly recommended and a better option for your money: Go to Eten enzo in Zoetermeer; you have more choices and better quality.

The atmosphere is mediocre and the background music could be better because I keep hearing piano notes every second, I liked the cat robot, the food is mostly cold, and the lobsters looked like they wouldn't survive long, and it's very cold inside.

It was a birthday party. It was busy on a Saturday night. The food was good, hot, and had a lot of variety. Unfortunately, our table was just being cleared. They did come by twice with a cart, then stopped by and were taken away again. We asked if our table could be cleared as well. Plates, etc., were then all collected in the middle. Other large tables were being cleared. The robot was charging. The aquarium with crabs, etc., needed cleaning; it was full of algae.

I don't understand why so many people give bad reviews. My husband and I have been here regularly and will be back soon. The food is always good, and yes, you shouldn't expect alcohol to be included in the unlimited drinks. Okay, sometimes it does take a little longer to bring drinks or collect the plates, but my husband and I have no complaints whatsoever! Good service. They are always very friendly and provide good service. And yes, you shouldn't come last minute for two and a half hours to eat when you know they close at 10 p.m. If you have that much to complain about, just don't come! My husband and I always have a great time!

The atmosphere and staff were very chilly. The food wasn't warm and tasteless. The lobsters in the aquarium didn't look good, nor did the water. We pointed out that the food was cold and were accused of grabbing food from upstairs. This wasn't the case, but even if it was, it shouldn't have mattered. Things fell over and we had to clean them ourselves. Little choice of food, especially fish and grilled meat. The ice cream was very soft, and the layer of ice in the freezer didn't seem to be in place. The service was also really bad. It was very quiet, and rightly so, because the atmosphere was cold and depressing, both in terms of the interior and the music. Even the fries were soggy and the baguette was stale. The herb butter was very bland. I'll definitely never come here again unless I want to scare people off. No, not even then, it's a waste of money. The glasses were also old because they had a residue on the dishwasher.

First of all, there were three drunken guys talking crazy loud and everyone in the restraunt were keep giving side eyes but the staffs did nothing. I was so annoyed. And with the food, if you fill your plates with only 3 times, you wont have things to eat. It means there are not many kinds of foods. Only the good thing was i could drink cola and beer a lot. But at one point, i felt they serve the drinks more and more slowly. Not sure if i will visit here again.
