Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience at the checkout. The woman working there, who seemed to be the manager or owner, spoke to us in a very loud and unfriendly way. Her tone and attitude made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope customer interactions can be handled in a calmer and more respectful manner in the future.

Halal, delicious, fast service, affordable. However, the restaurant is a bit too dark somehow. But the food is always good whenever you go to yellow river in den haag / rotterdam / amsterdam.

I had a terrible experience with my girlfriend today. We both ordered a portion of noodles, but my girlfriend's were completely undercooked. I then politely approached a staff member to ask if her portion could be replaced with one that was properly prepared. Unfortunately, the staff member wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. She immediately said that she couldn't do anything for me and that I just had to accept it. I found this way of being treated very disrespectful and therefore left the establishment immediately. I even left my own portion untouched, because I refuse to eat anywhere where customers are treated like this. I will therefore never return here.

The noodles were delicious and tasted very authentic, just like what you would get back home in China. However, the attitude of the lady taking orders at the front was absolutely terrible. This was our second time visiting, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The cashier acted as if she had some kind of personal issue with us. When giving me my change, she literally slammed the coins down on the counter. We were speaking Chinese, and I honestly have no idea what we did to offend or upset her, but her attitude toward us was incredibly rude and unfriendly. I definitely would not recommend this place to others anymore. We came in happy and excited to enjoy a bowl of noodles, but ended up leaving angry and frustrated because of the terrible service.

Favorite ramen restaurant in Rotterdam. The noodles are made from scratch and it is the tastiest braised beef I have tasted. I would like the broth / spice to be less oily, which would make it perfect. Service is very quick but it can become very crowded on the weekends and you may not find a place to sit. Price is ok.

Another thing is that they don't serve alcohol—the beers on the menu are all 0.0%, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. The location on the Mauritsweg is fantastic, with both comfortable indoor seating and a lovely outdoor terrace, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal in the heart of Rotterdam. The owners speak only a little Dutch and English, but honestly... that's usually a good sign when it comes to authentic food! 😄 They are friendly, and the food speaks for itself. I always get the same noodles, because they just hit the spot, but they are quite oily. I also tried the soup, which is good, but the noodles with minced meat are just better The place is super packed and small, so the biggest struggle is just finding a spot to sit down

The noodles were very tasty and the fact that the salad was free is very nice as well. Not many places do this. The food was however, not very spicy and while I was told that we could use the spicy sauce on the table it didn't help. We even tasted just the spicy sauce with a spoon and unfortunately we couldn't taste any spicy. My assumption is that at that time the sauce was a bit old. While the spice level was a thing, it still was tasty so I highly recommend going.

Great noodle place, don't understand the negativity. Delicious noodles for a reasonable price. Maybe there could be a few more sides (we had the homemade beef noodles and they were tasty but it was nothing more than noodles, beef, and cilantro) but otherwise really delicious. Most of the bad reviews are about the rudeness (the owner isn't rude, just busy) and the toilets (which admittedly could have been a bit cleaner + 2 toilets isn't very much) but that doesn't bother me too much. The food is top-notch and that's what matters.

We had made a reservation specifically for iftar, but unfortunately, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing and really ruined our evening. Upon arrival, we first had to place our order via a machine, without any guidance. There was no one to explain where we could sit. When we asked about it, we were simply told that we just had to find a free spot ourselves. Due to the crowds surrounding iftar, this immediately resulted in a chaotic and unpleasant start, as it was unclear whether we would even be held down. When our number was called, we had to pick up our food ourselves. Here, too, there was absolutely no clear system: a large group of people was waiting, but no one knew when it was their turn (even though you are called when your food is “ready”). When I walked forward and showed my receipt with the number, an employee reacted visibly irritated. Instead of helping normally, she started shouting in an unfriendly manner that I had to grab “that bowl,” without any explanation or checking of my order. The vegetarian options a very very limited and the one they had are not the best! I put 3 starts for the food as another person liked them and also because the quality of the noodles its self is good but I will not recommend the place and I will not go back.

There were no shredded potatoes when I entered, and there weren't any when I left. A single potato is really expensive! 👍 When I asked for noodles, they didn't just say it would cost an extra 5 euros; they told me they'd just added cold water to the pot and I should wait ten minutes. I waited patiently, and then they told me I had to pay extra. I'll never come back. Too many tricks up their sleeves, I suggest they don't open a shop there, haha.

I've been there several times, and sometimes a bowl of noodles was very small, and the beef was sometimes too thick and hard to chew. The worst thing was that the lady at the counter was completely heartless and very unfriendly to children!

Delicious! Since I saw one video of this shop, I've never been back. I've already been three times in two weeks. I always order the traditional Lanzhou beef noodles, delicious soup, and the handmade noodles. (Sometimes you can even see them making them.) The dumplings are delicious too. The owner is also incredibly polite. ❤️ The concept of ordering and sitting down yourself is a great one. Lots of polite employees!

We eat Asian food very, very often, and I've also eaten in China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Malaysia. This noodle soup is absolutely top-notch! The ordering system at the self-service kiosk takes some getting used to and is probably better suited to those under 30, but that's not a problem. The atmosphere is typical of a fast-food joint, which is quite common even in better establishments in Asia! Anyone who complains about things like bone fragments in the meat shouldn't be going to an authentic Asian restaurant! We were very satisfied and delighted!

This place hidden a bit upstairs is amazing. Real homemade hand pulled noodles. No joke. Dude was hand pulling them behind the counter. A bit more of a self serve/order at the counter rather than full table service type deal, but incredible food and comfortable enough for dine in with views of the tram and singel outside. I come to Rotterdam about three times a year, and every single time I make sure to visit this restaurant. I always order the same dish and it’s delicious every time. Nothing to complain about, I can totally recommend this place! You’ll see lots of tourists, but also families and locals eating here. The only thing they could improve is the seating: it’s really tight, and sometimes you can’t even use all the chairs at your own table because the neighboring tables are so close. But the food is great, and the staff is super friendly too.

I was so excited about my food and it looked amazing when i got it but sadly there was a hair in my food. It was my first time coming here and i was so excited. Advertising with “handpulled noodles” seems nowadays a marketing line on average to lure customers into many newly opend Chinese deli’s and have them thnking that they are getting handcrafted noodles when Infact most it , is from the Chinese wholesale market were it’s all factory made and packaged for store sale . Yellow river is different if you have been to China , Taiwan , South-Korea , Japan , Vietnam or Thailand since early 80’s like me , and have eaten in all various regions it’s local dishes with meat or noodles . Tonight I ordered for dinner trough their “McDonalds” pillar a mincedmeat with noodles and a thick noodlesoup with pork . Drinks ? Coca-Cola . The mincedmeat with noodles was tasty and good , so good I ordered a takeaway also for home . The thick noodlesoup was bad . The broth , already for many hours in a pan boiling with noodles in it , was way to salty and far from smooth as one expects from a good broth . The thick noodles were very much tough wich some would defend as chewy , wich this was not ! Overcooked - happens if it soaks too long into a broth - and tough in the end . Dissapointment and i left it untouched after 1 bite . Price in total ? € 35,- ! (minus takeaway order) Hefty price ! Would I come back ? If i was in the neighbourhood “yes” for it’s mincedmeat with noodles . For it’s “specialis” LanZou called noodles ; “No!” .

Delicious, and big portions enough for two meals

The food was good, but unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience. There were four of us, and we were only allowed four eggs and four small salads. The woman in the headscarf started yelling loudly because I wasn't aware of the one-egg, one-salad policy. Everyone in the restaurant looked at us as if we were stealing cucumber salad. We were deeply embarrassed. We had to pay extra for this, which I don't mind, but later we also discovered that she had robbed us of three euros. We discovered that we had paid €3 each for four extra salads (€12 total), but we only had three too many. When we confronted the woman about this, we got our €3 back, but unfortunately, she couldn't do it properly and threw the coins over the counter. In short, good food, but remember: ONE EGG AND ONE SALAD! Otherwise, you'll unfortunately be labeled a thief! I'm very sad.

One of the only halal Chinese noodles restaurant I know. The noodles are of the best quality and hand pulled. The broth is amazing and the star of the show. Best time to visit is during the cold and keep warm. Friendly service and an absolute gem due to the price and quality you get. I will always come back whenever I visit Rotterdam.

I went for dinner with friends and we had a fantastic experience. Despite the crowd, the staff was very attentive, and we were allowed to film the chef pulling the noodles. The soup was perfectly balanced and had plenty of meat in it. The stir-fried noodles with minced meat are also very good. And you can also add a free salad.

We all loved the quality of our food! 4 of us ordered different noodles and each were happy with our own. They lack vegetarian options, but the service is quick (seafood took longer). I also love that we can pick our own pickled veggies afterwards. I'd definitely go back!
