Nice people! Food was nothing special, but the quality was very good. Beautiful authentic environment too. Definitely worth a stop when you come back from Texel

Food was mediocre in my opinion. I had the fish of the day and 3 pieces of fish with skin. Then I at least expect the skin to be crispy, unfortunately this was not the case. Also 1 piece of fish did not taste good. The base was not good, but we did put all kinds of little frills on the food, such as separate prawn crackers, small pieces of vegetables and 1 asparagus. The salad was otherwise very good in taste. The fries were good too. So I was happy with that. The fish and ships wasn't good either, it wasn't crispy as I would expect. Instead the dough was soft. You can get better fish and chips at a fish stall. Dessert was okay, but again all luxury items that do not add much to the dessert, such as 10% of a passion fruit and 1 special berry. Service was good. Considering the price and quality, I wouldn't go here again.

What a nice place Restaurant Stoom is to enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. The wait staff makes a positive difference through their hospitable and friendly attitude. Highly recommended for a nice meal when you are in Den Helder.

Very nice and dog-friendly restaurant. Went there without a reservation, got a table straight away, the waitress brought water and treats straight away. Highly recommended. Food was good. Prices are reasonable. We'd love to come back.

Amazingly big. Service was top, as was the food. I was also excited about the opportunity for children. Small play area, coloring books and pens. Never seen in Germany. If you come with a dog, a bowl of water is immediately brought to the table. All in all, a top restaurant and worth every recommendation

The restaurant is very nice without feeling pretentious. Some of the staff were fantastic, going the extra mile to make ypu feel comfortable. Their spiced pumpkin soup was lovely + the bread and whipped butter were great. The satay sauce was nice and the accompanying bits and pieces were good too

I think it's getting a bit less. Chicken thigh meat is not tasty like satay.

Very hospitable and friendly staff with tasty sandwiches We had to wait three hours for the boat to Texel. Here we were allowed to go to the toilet for free and I was able to get very tasty sandwiches. Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant right at the harbor. There is a dedicated area for families and groups with children, which is a big advantage. Fish & chips here are very, very good and absolutely recommended. Service quick and courteous and always friendly. Went there at lunchtime on the weekend and immediately got a great spot.

Nice large conservatory with a really nice view of the harbor. We will definitely visit again when we are in transit to/from Texel.

Very nice location at the museum harbor in an old building with a new glass extension. The ambience is very nice, the service is also nice and also speaks German and English. We initially wanted to sit in the glass annex, but it didn't seem as clean here as it did near the bar. The taste of the food was OK, but not exceptional either. We probably expected more based on the look. There is a delicious selection of local beers and various sodas. The prices are typical in this region, but not too high.

Super nice staff. Even the dog got water and a treat without asking. We were also allowed to have heated seats longer than 9 p.m. because our youngest, 2 years old, ate a little more slowly. Always happy. The food was super delicious!

During our transit from Texel we had dinner at this restaurant. We noticed this restaurant on the way there, as it is located in a beautiful monumental building on Willemsoord. Special; the building served as a ship and maintenance yard for the Royal Navy. The choice did not disappoint us. Not only was the welcome particularly hospitable (the fact that we were late due to a late boat was no problem at all). We opted for the monthly menu. The plates were beautifully presented, both starter and main course were very tasty. The portion of the main course was generous. Great, because we are big eaters. The Austrian wine we chose was quality. We don't come to this corner often, but maybe we should come up with an excuse so we can come back again.

Courteous service who immediately provided our dog with water and treats. The Panneköken for us with syrup and powdered sugar was also very tasty.

We were travelling from the UK to Texel and found this amazing restaurant en route.... beautiful setting by the canal, charming staff, delicious food 🙂 would recommend sitting in the glass area- great views and warm if it's sunny 😎

Beautiful place .. we sat outside by the water but inside it was beautiful and large .. delicious sandwiches .. the caparcio sandwich cost 12.95 and the sandwich with fresh salmon 14.75 was also delicious .. when we come back to Den Helder we will go We will definitely come back for the nice beer from Texel.. friendly staff..

Great place with very nice stuff, wonderful bier (triple, stout). Not too cheap but it worth paying. Biefstuk van de grill was tasty the day I was there. The only thing is that I asked to make a small surprise for my friend for his birthday which was missed but the evening was still great, so didn’t change a lot.

A great restaurant in the harbor of Den Helder. The flair was well received in the facility - for example, there are still old machines hanging from the ceiling that were probably used in the warehouse in the past - great charm! The staff is very friendly and also very open to dogs. The lunch menu offers a variety of sandwiches that turned out really well! The tomato soup also impressed us. There are also a handful of “larger” dishes such as: Burgers, which we didn't order. Overall, every meal looked excellent!

A bread platter in advance is fine, but with the privilege you also get bread again, so double. Starter: the spicy chicken salad was okay but everything tasted too smoked. Main course: satay of chicken thighs on a spit, tasted nice at first but the second bite was very soapy, I'm a real satay eater but this was gross. What was neat is that she made a delicious steak for almost the same money. Then the price does not reflect the quality. But overall, eat there again NO. Recommend to others NO.

Excellent experience at this restaurant. We ordered fish and chips, an incredible dish…the fish was super fresh and perfectly fried. The spectacular salad, very tasty. And the potatoes were very good too. We drank local wheat beer which was very tasty. I recommend!

Party catering is a carbohydrate party, which is a shame for people with a medical condition. Simply rude staff. Literally any other tent, there are plenty of alternatives around.

We had lunch. The food was very tasteful. compliments to the chef. The service was up for our standards and better than fancy restaurants in Amsterdam.

Essensportion zu klein und dafür viel zu teuer. Allerdings sehr nettes Personal und an sich ein recht schönes Restaurant.

Das Ambiente war schlicht und freundlich. Es war gut auf Kleinkinder vorbereitet. Die Tagessuppe überraschte, Senfsuppe, vorher noch nie gegessen, sehr empfehlenswert. Auch die anderen Gerichte kamen frisch und lecker rüber. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden es sicherlich nochmal aufsuchen.

Sehr gutes, preislich eher hoch angesiedeltes Restaurant in Schöner Lage im Hafenbereich. Gute Auswahl und fein zubereitet. Auch die Bierkarte ist ordentlich. Das Ambiente ist im Industrial-Style und sehr ansprechend.

Aan de hand van revieuws besloten hier te gaan eten. Helaas teleurstellend wij vonden het géén 4,4 waard. Eten niet boven gemiddeld. Voor het geld dat wij uitgaven verwacht ik meer kwaliteit. Het brood was erg droog en de saus bij de vis leuk uit een pakje te komen. Service en sfeer waren prima

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, mit einem Loft Charakter, tolle Ambiente 😍 Die Kellnerin war mega sympathisch und zuvorkommend (und deutsch sprachig 👍) Sehr kinderfreundlich, für Kinder gibt gleich was zum malen und ziemlich umfangreiches Kindermenü. Die Menükarte ist klein, mit vielen „fastfood“ mäßigen Gerichten, aber wir waren trotzdem zufrieden. Es war alles appetitlich und lecker. Ein Besuch auf jeden Fall wert 😉
