Delicious sandwich with mixed vegetables.

I've already had a truly delicious lunch twice! One time I ate outside by the water, and the other time in the atmospheric indoor area. Both times the service was quick and friendly, and the food was very affordable and tasty. I will definitely stop by again for lunch or dinner! 🥰

Very cool restaurant with great ambiance and large size portions which are a great value for the price. One of the best ham and cheese sandwiches I've ever had. Worth a stop for this quaint Bistro when in the area.

Ended up here after our bike ride. Nice terrace by the water. The starter of onion soup and sourdough bread with spreads was tasty. However, after that, the main course just didn't arrive. Tables around us did get theirs. I decided to ask by walking over to someone myself, as the wait staff barely came by. They were mainly busy with other (familiar?) tables. Just as I suspected, they had forgotten about us... The satay and Angus steak arrived 20 minutes later after all. The chicken wasn't tasty and neither was the satay sauce. Lots of bean sprouts on it. The Angus steak was lukewarm and the stroganoff sauce was bland and there was very little of it. You didn't get fries with the steak, so we had to order them separately. We skipped dessert. We arrived around 4:30 and left at 7:30. We eat out often, but rarely have such a bad experience. A shame, but we won't be coming back.

We docked a boat trip at the terrace. It was full at the time. We went inside. Later, the terrace emptied out and it seemed they had to switch gears. Communication was not flawless. In itself, everyone was very friendly and the food was tasty.

The service from the ladies was a bit disorganized. Things were forgotten. You had to wait. The ladies were hospitable though.

We had high tea this afternoon. I had asked for a few adjustments and it was arranged perfectly. They arranged a lovely spot for us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; everything was super fresh. Very friendly service.

After a drive, we ended up here on the terrace. We were the only ones. The terrace is situated by the water, where boats regularly pass by. There is a small parking lot available. Because the terrace is located a little further from the restaurant, it takes a while for the staff to realize that someone is sitting there. Once noticed, we were served quickly. They have a small lunch menu and it is quite pricey. I chose a cup of coffee and an apple crumble pastry. It looked good and was delicious. In short, excellent.

Everything was great, but quite expensive. Quality has its price, but if you're looking for something cheap and simple, this isn't the place for you, unfortunately. Otherwise, everything was fantastic! It tasted delicious.

Because two people in our family are hard of hearing and one uses a walker, we wanted to pick out a good spot. We selected the table there together with a young man and made a reservation. When we arrived for lunch, the table was already occupied. We spoke to the lady, but the only thing she said was: "These things can happen." What is the point of making a reservation then?? The lady did not come back to us to ask if everything else was to our liking; no apologies were offered, which is very disappointing!!!

A top-notch restaurant. We love coming here and the food is fantastic, especially the fish & chips and the fresh bitterballen. We receive a very warm and personal welcome, and the staff adores our dog, who is very welcome. Beautiful location by the water, like a holiday in our own village.

Highly recommended. Tonight we ate a delicious, tender, spicy medium-rare Argentinian steak with Chimichanga sauce. Homemade fries with a hygienic tube of Zaanse mayonnaise on the side. A tasty glass of wine to go with it. To follow, a light raspberry dessert with a strong cup of coffee. A real asset to our village and beyond. We don't have to go to Alkmaar anymore! Sweet, attentive service made it complete. Thanks!

Het Bakkershuys was a household name for us for over 30 years. We tried lunch three times; we will not venture there for dinner. Unfortunately, it has devolved into a 'much for little' concept. Some lunch dishes look more like a traffic accident sandwich. Sadly, they won't be seeing us again.

Cozy bistro in the city center. Lunch was fine. Voice transmission was too loud in the room (acoustics).

We ate here last night. I reserved in advance because I really wanted a round sofa. That was all fine, said the person I reserved with by phone. Everything was really delicious and the staff were great too! The downside was that we didn't have a round sofa and it was very thin and noisy, so we could barely understand each other.

Oh yes, we have another lovely place to eat in our village!! It was delicious and the portions were generous. The ambiance is just right, and the staff is friendly. We will be back!

A cozy and pleasant restaurant. Delicious food!

Fine lunch, goat cheese salad. Although, I would have liked it to be a bit more substantial; it was on the meager side for the price. It is a pity, though, that there were no fish salads, for example, with eel and salmon from the Broeker smokehouse Vlug. We sat outside, which was lovely. The wine was fine. But... watch out... dangerous steps outside...

Nice new owner and delicious food

Enjoyed a delicious, extensive lunch this afternoon. The food was great, the crowd was friendly, and the service was friendly and efficient.

This review is over a year old. The business has since been taken over. It would behoove the owners to remove the previous owner's reviews! The difference between the old and new Bakkershuys is enormous, especially when it comes to the quality of the food! Saturday evening we celebrated a birthday with six people. We sat together at a round table in a pleasant spot in the restaurant. We opted for a 5-course surprise menu with matching wines. We can safely say it was a fantastic evening. The menu is meant to be a surprise, so no further comment on that. But all the dishes were equally delicious and well-balanced. Although the pasta, as one of the dishes, deserves a special mention! Excellent. Wines paired well with the dishes. The pace and service at the table were excellent. In short, the six of us enjoyed ourselves at 't Bakkershuys.

The spare ribs were really bad. I reported them, of course, but there was no response from the kitchen. They were, however, duly noted on the bill. I went home disappointed. The Tom Kha Kai soup, on the other hand, was very good. The waiter was also a nice guy, ambitious. The renovations were definitely a success.

Last week I ordered a chicken satay from 't Bakkershuis. Unfortunately, it was rather disappointing. I suspect the chicken was prepared sous-vide or something similar, because it was tasteless, lukewarm, and pale in color, and certainly hadn't seen the grill (pan). The accompanying fries were served in a small bowl. They were small pieces of fries, an average of 2 cm long! The "fries" were also incredibly thin, so they had hardened during frying and you couldn't pierce them with a fork, so I had to eat them with my hands. They were more like leftovers from the deep fryer than the fries you normally expect with chicken satay. The second side dish was supposed to be gado gado. It was served on a small plate; only the three halved green beans reminded me of gado gado; the rest of the ingredients didn't even remotely resemble a real gado gado. This was honestly the worst chicken satay I've ever had. The average snack bar around the corner serves a much better chicken satay. Dessert was a few scoops of ice cream, which you can't really go wrong with, so that was good.

A fun new sauce has been introduced throughout the bakery. Very pleasant, and the service was friendly and attentive. The mustard soup with bacon was delicious! The spare ribs were wonderfully tender. Perhaps a tip: add sauces so people can choose whether they want hot ribs, BBQ, or garlic. I personally love hot hotter hotst!

The high tea was extensive, varied, and incredibly delicious. I had lunch here for the first time today, and that was also a delight! The club sandwich with real chicken breast and avocado was delicious!

Good coffee, delicious lunch (tasting), tasty mulled wine. Friendly service. Charming, original interior. Cozy seating in a homey atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We dined here on Boxing Day. Even though I'd booked the wrong day, luckily they still managed to find us a table. The staff were incredibly kind and the food was excellent! They were very considerate of my wife's pregnancy without us even asking. It was incredibly polite and respectful. My wife was very impressed, so I can only give it a perfect 10. We chose the Christmas menu, which was truly delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

The six of us dined there tonight. Bistro appetizer platter, a real gem, special beers, red wine, main courses, rosefish, sea bass, venison steak, vegetarian lasagna, dessert, tiramisu, bistro coffee, chocolate truffles, chocolate trio, cortado, and a flat white. It was all very tasty; we thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were four of us. Booking through the website was very easy. Communication after booking was excellent. The food was delicious. And I really want to give a huge compliment to the staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, knew when to take action, and made you feel truly welcome. In short, a fantastic experience.

Last Thursday, I had lunch at Bar Bistro 't Bakkershuys. The new owners have made it beautiful! Such a great atmosphere! And the lunch was delicious! I'll be back!

Wow, what a gem! Found it online by chance. No unusual flavor combinations, just good food, even better executed. Intimate setting and very pleasant staff. We had a wonderful evening!

We've been to 't Bakkershuys several times and have never been disappointed. Today I learned that the restaurant will be closing on September 1st. What a shame! I'm really going to miss this restaurant. You don't find such high-quality food and delicious wine everywhere. The service was always excellent, too. I secretly hope a new restaurant opens somewhere else so we can continue to enjoy it. Thank you for all the wonderful dinners and lunches.

Beautiful location, but the terrace and indoor location are too closely linked in terms of staff. Especially in terms of prices, unfortunately. Because it can be so much more. After a boat trip, a cup of coffee and a pastry with 4 people, you can easily count on €55. Enjoy a moment by the water, with a beer and some croquettes, etc The price is not stated in advance. When you pay, you'll be shocked. Such a shame, because you can receive so many more people in one day at this location. The weather was beautiful, and the other side was completely packed. Would be nice if there were 2 parts. Outside service and inside service. It also ended well after a visit to the toilet, because if you are not careful you can trip over boxes of wine that were in the way. I'm sorry, really sorry. Because it doesn't have to be this way.

Probably the best place we've ever eaten in the province. The combination of flavors is surprising and delicious, and it looks beautiful! Friendly service. Only the interior could use a refresh. But that doesn't diminish the quality of the cuisine. A gem that deserves to be discovered by Michelin or Gault Millau…

Ate with the family. Food was great! (Obviously) good quality of the food, but also very nice employees. The service talks with passion and pleasure about what they serve. We also liked the furnishings very much. Nice and cozy :)

We had booked a package from the Broekerveiling, a cruise and a 3-course dinner at 't Bakkershuys. We got an aperitif and a glass of bubbles on the boat which was very nice! Then we had a delicious meal and drinks. It was a super fun experience. Afterwards we had a quick chat with the chef. All in all a successful outing!

More than average good restaurant. Opted for a 5 course surprise menu. This is a true culinary tour where everything comes together. Many creative dishes and appetizers. No challenge is avoided. One of the strengths is that a lot of local ingredients are used and also from our own island of herbs and flowers. Neat service where the rules are applied in a relaxed manner. The wine list is also worth mentioning. Lots of knowledge and always nice to be served a suitable wine with your dish.

Beautiful, cozy restaurant. The stained glass provided beautiful colors inside as an extra gift! The dishes looked fantastic. One of us ate vegan, those dishes also looked great and tasted delicious. The selected wines matched perfectly. We were also served an asparagus soup. The day before, the first box of asparagus had been auctioned at the Broeker Auction for the Alzheimer's charity. This raised €40,000! For this occasion they also served asparagus soup. With this in mind, the soup tasted even better!

What a discovery. Just in the heart of Langedijk. Delicious food and excellent wine/food combinations. This was certainly not the last time. They can also handle a gluten-free diet very well.

Neat restaurant, located opposite the famous Broekerveiling and friendly, warm service, with clear explanations for each dish. Surprising flavors, both with the amuse-bouches and with the four courses. Rarely have you eaten so well in recent years. Good quality-price ratio. We go here more. Definitely recommended!

Altijd genieten als je in een zaak komt waar men met passie bezig is. Gastvrij, leuke sfeer, goeie service. Mooie streekproducten met aandacht bereid, afgetopt met mooie bijpassende wijnen. Genoten!

Een heerlijke zondagmiddag zitten tafelen met 8 personen. En ons laten verrassen door een verrassing menu . We hadden een tafel voorin bij het raam gevraagd, omdat we allemaal geboren Broekers zijn, maar er intussen niet meer wonen, en deze stond prachtig klaar. Bedankt voor de fijne middag, het top eten, en de goede bediening!

Wij hebben een heerlijke avond bij 't Bakkershuys gehad! Wij kozen voor het verrassingsmenu met bijpassend wijnarrangement. De bediening was uiterst gastvrij en goed op de hoogte van alles wat zij serveerden. Bij elk gerecht kregen wij niet alleen uitleg over het eten, maar ook over de wijn, welke er qua smaak goed op aansloot. Alles wat uit de keuken kwam, was met zorg bereid. Ook aan de opmaak op het bord was veel aandacht besteed. Bijzonder leuk was dat de chef bij ons aan tafel kwam om 1 gerecht klaar te maken. De vuurfontein bij het dessert, ter gelegenheid van onze trouwdag, maakte het feest compleet! Heel hartelijk dank en de complimenten aan iedereen die deze avond voor ons zo bijzonder heeft gemaakt!

We waren voor de verjaardag van mijn Vader in het Bakkershuys. We waren met 5 volwassenen en zijn kleindochter van 6,5. We hebben het 5 gangen verassing menu gekozen met een bijpassend wijnarrangement. Ook met mijn nichtje hielden ze rekening, ze hadden pasta met kip voor haar gemaakt, wat ze erg lekker vond. Een betere tafel hadden we niet kunnen krijgen. We zaten direct naast het aquarium met kreeften en oesters, wat zeker voor de kleinste voor genoeg afleiding zorgde. De geserveerde gerechten waren bijzonder goed op smaak, perfect geportioneerd heel mooi opgemaakt. De gastheren en dames waren kundig en heel goed bekend met de gerechten die zij serveerden. We komen graag weer terug!

Wat een prachtige avond met een groep van 10. Het team heeft het supergoed voor elkaar en zetten een hoge standaard neer. Echt een aanrader voor een zakelijk dinner of prive mooi avondje uit tegen een goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.
