A cozy place. The food was good, though the portions were small. Fortunately, the vegetables and potatoes were replenished quickly. An overactive waiter forgot to place our order. But he did his best to create a pleasant atmosphere by engaging in pleasant conversation with everyone. Fortunately, everyone at our table was friendly, and the food arrived quickly after we asked.

We found the combination of satay with red cabbage and mashed potatoes quite odd. They indicated that in the summer the dish is served with salad and fries. We also recommend serving this in the winter.

What a wonderful place for lunch! There's a lovely, spacious parking lot with free parking. Before we could even open the door, a friendly man opened it. We were able to find a table in the conservatory right next to the harbor. What a stunning view! We ordered an "uitsmijter" (fried fried eggs) and a main course salad. Despite the prices, which I considered to be rather reasonable, we were treated to a truly delicious meal. We were also offered a free portion of fries to share, and a bottle of water was brought to the table without even asking. And all this with a smile from the lady who was serving us. I thought I'd take a few nice pictures. Thank you!

We had a fantastic party at 't Huus van Guus last Saturday night. The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the snacks were excellent throughout the evening. Drinks were kept regularly refilled. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back for a delicious meal.

We had dinner with local friends. I found the place a little dark for my taste. The staff was friendly, but the wait for the dishes was long, perhaps due to overcrowding. Compared to our Italian restaurant, the food was below expectations, even though the menu offered a wide variety of fish and meat dishes. Parking was very convenient. Personally, I wouldn't return.

We organized a surprise party (with about 70 guests) for our mother's 60th birthday at 't Huus van Guus. It went really well. The staff was very flexible, and Cynthia arranged everything perfectly: the venue, drinks, and food. Thanks!

We had coffee and a light snack this afternoon. My wife ordered carrot cake with her coffee, and I had fried mushrooms on a toasted sandwich. At my request, it wasn't decorated. The carrot cake is simply a slice of red-colored cake. It was presented on a nice plate with a scoop of ice cream, a large blackberry, and whipped cream from a can. The price was around €8.50. If it had been cake and dessert, that price would have been fine. But we ordered a pastry, not dessert. My mushrooms were chestnut mushrooms. Unfortunately, I didn't taste much of them, as the pepper mill had been used quite liberally during the preparation. It was a reasonable €13.50. Quite pricey for a single toasted brown bread sandwich with mushrooms, which aren't the same as mushrooms. It's a good thing we checked the quality before making a dinner reservation. We'll continue looking for a restaurant that truly prepares the dishes as advertised on the menu, and the chef tastes them before serving them.

We organized a surprise party at Huus van Guus. The communication was excellent, and Cynthia was incredibly helpful. The chefs prepared delicious and plentiful snacks, and various dietary requirements were easily accommodated. All in all, we had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you!

Unfortunately, Guus wasn't home, because the cows were about to burst, the pigs needed to eat, and the cattle had to be removed from the land. All in all, a disappointing experience for our Guus.

Great place. Had lunch and it was delicious. Compliments to the chef and the staff. They had a nice chalkboard with the specials of the day! Nice idea. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location, super friendly staff. The one star down is because of the food. We ordered a club sandwich, Guus style. I don't think Guus knows what a club sandwich is, because this was a BLT. No chicken, salmon, or anything else. Just bacon, tomato, and some vegetables. The nachos had a strange taste and weren't very crunchy. Price: €16.50. Way too much.

It's been a while since I had such a delicious lunch. The salmon tartare is highly recommended, and Danique is truly amazing for her age. It's a shame it's so far from my house, otherwise I'd come every week.

Lovely spacious terrace, varied menu, and affordable dishes. We opted for a brie toasted sandwich with grilled vegetables on dark country bread. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there's a beautiful view of the marina. Friendly staff. We'll definitely be back!

At this restaurant, I experienced something I'd never heard of before: we could choose 5-6 main courses for our group of 13. (It was too much for the kitchen to prepare 13 different main courses?!) In my opinion, that detracts from the experience you pay for at a restaurant; the food was okay. The portions, however, were too small. I had the mixed grill, which was fine, but I left the spare ribs untouched, as they weren't prepared well. Then I had the cote de boeuf, a supposedly two-person dish. Unfortunately, this isn't a two-person dish; the portions, like the other dishes, were too small. The service was fine, although they did find it difficult to pronounce "cote de boeuf" (it is actually quite difficult 😩). Conclusion: I had a very mediocre experience at Huus van Guus. Unless changes are made, I won't be returning.

Tried this restaurant for the first time with four people. I can say it was an average experience. The service was reasonable, though it could be a bit friendlier to the guests (even if you pretend...). The main courses were decent (steak, ribs, schnitzel, and chicken). My companion thought the steak was raw. What really surprised me was that the steak is served rare by default (that's how we always do it! according to the staff). The staff didn't ask how the steak was cooked. That's a very strange way to serve it. You're supposed to ask how a steak is cooked. So, it had to go back to the kitchen and be finished. Logistically, not very good for the kitchen, especially if this happens often. The schnitzel was a bit dry. The other dishes were okay. We received a bread board as a starter, but unfortunately, no plates. We asked for them. The whole table was now covered in breadcrumbs. A bottle of water on the table (€5.00!! What's that about??) The desserts were fine, but please come with a napkin!! In short, this was the first time and, for now, the last time. There are better places to eat. I wonder if management takes any notice of critical reviews?

After a long bike ride, I stumbled across this restaurant. I was only going to have a drink, but because of the great atmosphere, I ended up ordering a late lunch. A bit too much to choose from on one plate, and there's still a lot on the menu.

Ate here for the first time. What was advertised as a creamy fish soup, quite filling, was actually a watery soup with a few pieces of salmon. The creamy mustard soup and creamy gourchette soup were also watery and far too salty. The fries with the main course were overcooked and didn't look appetizing. I had sole, which were dry and overcooked. The fish trio was okay. Two small containers of raw vegetables for 7 people. The staff was friendly. We paid over €260 for 7 people, and we won't be back.

The schnitzel was smaller than expected and unfortunately tasted rubbery. The hamburger was also very dry and hard to eat “yea, normal, it’s toast”. On the positive side, the spare ribs with BBQ sauce were good, and my friend really enjoyed them. At the end, when asked for our opinion, I shared my thoughts honestly. The staff replied “why didn’t you say it when we asked?” .The problem is that my friend only noticed halfway through the meal that the pork schnitzel was pink inside, which can be a concern for food safety. The service itself was friendly, but I think the food quality, especially the schnitzel and burger, could be improved. With some adjustments, the experience could be much better.

We regularly go to Guus's, but this time we're going somewhere else. The toasted sandwiches for lunch are highly recommended. For dinner, I had fish soup with a kibbeling salad. The fish soup was a bit brothy with a few unidentifiable bits of fish. The soup had a chemical taste. I left it after one spoonful. The kibbeling salad was a real disgrace. The salad contained only four pieces of kibbeling. The salad had only added oil, nothing else. Tasteless! My wife opted for the schnitzel, and she certainly got the taste of it. A tough piece of meat with a strange flavor.

Super delicious food, slightly upscale. Not your typical Dutch chip shop fare. The staff is friendly, and there's a menu in German.

Even though our children had a hard time eating properly, we still enjoyed our meal! The service was very friendly and understanding. The children's portions were quite large, definitely more than enough. I had a trio of fish, which came with delicious fries. Only the piece of salmon I found a bit overcooked (but that's a matter of taste, of course). The salad with beetroot and feta was delicious, and the sauce was also good. My husband had a mixed grill; the ribs that came with it could have been a bit more marinated. All in all, a good meal! There's a play area, but it's in a dusty corner under the stairs near the restrooms. I couldn't supervise my children there (since I don't want to spend half an hour at the restrooms myself). The toys were also broken, but hey... we're here for the food, of course.

There were four of us, and we had to wait a while for our food to arrive. The mixed grill menu wasn't great, with only three pieces of meat, and the chicken was more skin-like. The vegetable curry wasn't very tasty, but luckily we were able to adjust this with the sole menu, which was fine, as was the salmon menu, albeit a small piece. The accompanying fries were tasteless. The dessert was fine again. I've been here twice now, but a third time isn't in the cards for now.

We were given a menu in German. The staff also speaks a little German and that's great. Very polite and caring waiters. We came for lunch, there were a lot of people, but there were also free tables. They brought it pretty quickly. We ordered 2 soups: tomato and mustard, pasta Bolognese and trout fillet with French fries. The only thing was that there was not enough salt, but it is better to undersalt than oversalt. Potatoes with fish were brought with mayonnaise and pear sauce. Original taste, the potatoes themselves were also tasty. Two adults and a child (3 years old) were satisfied. The portions are excellent, even large. The prices are good, because we have seen more expensive places, but the quality is worse. We paid 39.15 for all 4 dishes + juice. We would come back here again. So far this is the best place we found during our vacation.

Everything was fine, but I had the chef's surprise package, and it wasn't much, but that's not even the worst part. I had the tuna, but it tasted like dry, overcooked salmon, which was such a shame.

We found the food disappointing. The bread platter was nice and good. The main course was poor value for money. The salmon and sauce were tasteless. The potatoes were overcooked. The fries didn't look appealing either. We found the kitchen's response completely subpar. Such a shame. 😣I've always enjoyed my meal here, but I won't be back anytime soon.

Celebrated my 70th birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything went exactly as planned. Friendly staff. We had a summer buffet and delicious ice cream for dessert. I'm getting all sorts of positive feedback. The food was delicious. For now and again.

The homemade apple pie was delicious and served with whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. It tasted great. The atmosphere outside isn't great, but the service is excellent.

We went to eat at Huus van Guus twice. Both times our 1.5 year old son came with us. We found the service to be great! There is enough staff to keep a close eye on you. They also took good account of wishes, such as that we wanted our son's food at the same time as our starter. The food was delicious! Well baked and deliciously prepared. There is also a nice corner for children to play. Our son couldn't get away from it haha. All in all, highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant, right on the harbor. We dined with four adults and one child. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good, from the appetizer to the dessert. The carpaccio was beautifully thinly sliced ​​and the truffle mayonnaise was something different. The zander fillet was fried to perfection, and the strawberries with yogurt ice cream and crumble were the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for that!
