Restaurant ‘t Huus van Guus in Wijk 00

The schnitzel was smaller than expected and unfortunately tasted rubbery. The hamburger was also very dry and hard to eat “yea, normal, it’s toast”. On the positive side, the spare ribs with BBQ sauce were good, and my friend really enjoyed them. At the end, when asked for our opinion, I shared my thoughts honestly. The staff replied “why didn’t you say it when we asked?” .The problem is that my friend only noticed halfway through the meal that the pork schnitzel was pink inside, which can be a concern for food safety. The service itself was friendly, but I think the food quality, especially the schnitzel and burger, could be improved. With some adjustments, the experience could be much better.

We regularly go to Guus's, but this time we're going somewhere else. The toasted sandwiches for lunch are highly recommended. For dinner, I had fish soup with a kibbeling salad. The fish soup was a bit brothy with a few unidentifiable bits of fish. The soup had a chemical taste. I left it after one spoonful. The kibbeling salad was a real disgrace. The salad contained only four pieces of kibbeling. The salad had only added oil, nothing else. Tasteless! My wife opted for the schnitzel, and she certainly got the taste of it. A tough piece of meat with a strange flavor.

Super delicious food, slightly upscale. Not your typical Dutch chip shop fare. The staff is friendly, and there's a menu in German.

Even though our children had a hard time eating properly, we still enjoyed our meal! The service was very friendly and understanding. The children's portions were quite large, definitely more than enough. I had a trio of fish, which came with delicious fries. Only the piece of salmon I found a bit overcooked (but that's a matter of taste, of course). The salad with beetroot and feta was delicious, and the sauce was also good. My husband had a mixed grill; the ribs that came with it could have been a bit more marinated. All in all, a good meal! There's a play area, but it's in a dusty corner under the stairs near the restrooms. I couldn't supervise my children there (since I don't want to spend half an hour at the restrooms myself). The toys were also broken, but hey... we're here for the food, of course.

There were four of us, and we had to wait a while for our food to arrive. The mixed grill menu wasn't great, with only three pieces of meat, and the chicken was more skin-like. The vegetable curry wasn't very tasty, but luckily we were able to adjust this with the sole menu, which was fine, as was the salmon menu, albeit a small piece. The accompanying fries were tasteless. The dessert was fine again. I've been here twice now, but a third time isn't in the cards for now.

We were given a menu in German. The staff also speaks a little German and that's great. Very polite and caring waiters. We came for lunch, there were a lot of people, but there were also free tables. They brought it pretty quickly. We ordered 2 soups: tomato and mustard, pasta Bolognese and trout fillet with French fries. The only thing was that there was not enough salt, but it is better to undersalt than oversalt. Potatoes with fish were brought with mayonnaise and pear sauce. Original taste, the potatoes themselves were also tasty. Two adults and a child (3 years old) were satisfied. The portions are excellent, even large. The prices are good, because we have seen more expensive places, but the quality is worse. We paid 39.15 for all 4 dishes + juice. We would come back here again. So far this is the best place we found during our vacation.

I had a brie sandwich, and my wife had a warm meat sandwich. Deliciously prepared, plenty of it, and super tasty. View over the harbor, great location. And above all, not too expensive...

We found the food disappointing. The bread platter was nice and good. The main course was poor value for money. The salmon and sauce were tasteless. The potatoes were overcooked. The fries didn't look appealing either. We found the kitchen's response completely subpar. Such a shame. 😣I've always enjoyed my meal here, but I won't be back anytime soon.

Everything was fine, but I had the chef's surprise package, and it wasn't much, but that's not even the worst part. I had the tuna, but it tasted like dry, overcooked salmon, which was such a shame.

Celebrated my 70th birthday. It was absolutely fantastic. Everything went exactly as planned. Friendly staff. We had a summer buffet and delicious ice cream for dessert. I'm getting all sorts of positive feedback. The food was delicious. For now and again.

We had a delicious lunch, good portions of high quality, right on the water. English menus were available and provided without asking. Overall, a good experience.

The homemade apple pie was delicious and served with whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. It tasted great. The atmosphere outside isn't great, but the service is excellent.

The food was delicious, from starters to desserts! I was even able to bring my dog ​​into the restaurant, and he was given a bowl of fresh water without asking. Great service! I highly recommend it.

We were sitting on the terrace with the stuff laid out, we were asked to move to another table. We do that of course. But why don't you offer a helping hand from the service?!

We went to eat at Huus van Guus twice. Both times our 1.5 year old son came with us. We found the service to be great! There is enough staff to keep a close eye on you. They also took good account of wishes, such as that we wanted our son's food at the same time as our starter. The food was delicious! Well baked and deliciously prepared. There is also a nice corner for children to play. Our son couldn't get away from it haha. All in all, highly recommended!

We had dinner here with a group but some desserts were still very hard frozen. That was a shame!

Very nice restaurant, right on the harbor. We dined with four adults and one child. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was really good, from the appetizer to the dessert. The carpaccio was beautifully thinly sliced ​​and the truffle mayonnaise was something different. The zander fillet was fried to perfection, and the strawberries with yogurt ice cream and crumble were the perfect finishing touch. Thank you for that!

Great place to grab a bite to eat. Pretty average, but fine.

Ate with 16 people, 15 people satisfied. But I have never eaten such bad sole: 1st copy was so thin that there was only a too crispy skin, the second was slightly better but very below average. The third was reasonable but was also fried too hard. A disgrace that the chef lets such a dish leave the kitchen.

After a bike ride, you can relax with nice beers and mocktails. A good bread board and the most delicious fish salad ever eaten. Nicely located, also very cozy inside. Recommended!

Nice to visit with the family for a night out. It was a pleasant evening, great service and above all delicious food. Just go by or make a reservation via the website. Can't speak for others, I was very satisfied. And will definitely come by again to try other dishes from the menu.

I ate here with my girlfriend. We both felt the need to share salads and they were creative with that at our request. We were able to sit on the terrace. For dessert we had the bannoffee and it was really so delicious! The staff is all sweet and friendly so we will definitely come back again

Nice café/restaurant with spacious terrace. We had reserved a table in advance (9p) and got a nice spot outside. Smooth, pleasant service and the terrace at the marina is also a plus. The building seems a bit strangely located next to a boat store on a fairly open area, but once inside the nautical location is completely correct. Recommended!

Hot meat sandwich was really not tasty. This should be done with fricandeau and not with fatty meats. I just read an earlier review about this sandwich. So not much is done with reviews. That's a shame. Kibbeling sandwich was fine. My tip would be to read the reviews and learn from them. I always mean a review to be constructive and not to be negative.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience in this restaurant. Upon arrival, we immediately received a comment from the staff along the lines of: "Do you understand? Our menu is in Dutch." something that seemed unnecessary and condescending. During our visit I felt constantly watched by other guests and employees, as if I didn't belong there. This atmosphere made it very uncomfortable for me, and I could not enjoy the food or the visit in general at all. All in all, I didn't feel welcome here, and that's the last thing you want as a customer. In any case, I won't be coming back here again.

Nice service!! Lovely place near the harbor to have a drink and a snack. And if possible, eat it on the terrace. In addition to the meat dishes, there are plenty of vegetarian choices on the menu. Enjoyed a glass of wine, the luxurious starter platter and an asparagus salad together with a friend. We enjoyed the food served and it was more than enough. Extra service: If you can't finish your plate, they will be happy to put it in a container for you to take home.

Nice view over the Harderhaven. Staff is friendly. We were here for lunch. My partner had a salmon sandwich which was served with a tasty piece of salmon. I had a caprese sandwich, but instead of pesto balsamic which I found a bit disappointing for the price.

Had a lovely lunch with my toddler on a Friday afternoon. I had an excellent carpaccio salad, he had a ham/cheese sandwich. Very extensive choice on the menu + specials + many more specials on a chalkboard. Good and very friendly service. Nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back here with my husband.
