Restaurant Tasty Italy in Wijk 00 Waalwijk

The food is okay, but it takes a long time to be prepared. What I find odd is that you have to pay for cheese on the pasta. In other restaurants, you don't have to. Compared to other restaurants, I find the food expensive. You certainly don't pay that for the service, which I find really slow and sluggish. The restaurant exudes ambiance with its decor, but I don't see that reflected in the staff.

The food was very good and the staff very friendly. It did take a while for our food to arrive, even though it wasn't busy, but otherwise, everything was fine.

Simply good food with atmosphere

The food was delicious, the staff very friendly. The restaurant is cozy. The only downside was that we didn't all get our food at the same time.

I come here regularly with my wife and I must say that they really understand how to bake pizza here. The dough is really super tasty, everything on the pizza is fresh and delicious. In short, highly recommended and I think it's the best pizza I've ever eaten.

The food was good, but the pizza pollo had only four pieces of chicken. It also took over an hour, though the restaurant was 60% full, so I can live with that.

From the moment we walked in, we received a warm welcome and immediately felt welcomed. The food was truly fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared. The service was excellent, with attention to detail and always with a smile. In short, a restaurant that lives up to its name. Highly recommended for anyone who loves delicious Italian food and hospitality!

This fantastic Italian restaurant never ceases to amaze us. The food, staff, and atmosphere are always a 10 out of 10! This is the only Italian restaurant in the area that can truly call itself Italian. One bite of pizza is enough to know that the dough is phenomenal and the process of making it is an art! The pizzas, pasta, and burgers are always made with the freshest ingredients, and you can definitely taste it! All the pizzerias and pasta shops in Waalwijk and the surrounding area are a big plus compared to this fantastic restaurant. The quality for the price is truly unparalleled, and we eat here regularly. Not just any Happy Italy junk, but a true phenomenon. A "MUST VISIT" for anyone who truly loves delicious, traditional Italian food! In a word, AMAZING!

The food was delicious, the pizza had a wonderful thin crust, and the pasta was well-seasoned. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The service could be a bit faster. It would be nice if there were children's portions or a children's menu.

We came here late from Efteling. The staff were really welcoming, speaking perfect English and being really accommodating with my husband, 2 children and I. The food was amazing and prepared fresh.

The penne arrabiata was delicious, nicely blackened, well-seasoned, and fruity with a hint of tomato. The pizza dough was also very good! I really liked the ambiance, modern and stylish.

Reasonably high expectations given the good reviews, but unfortunately a different experience. We had to wait an hour for our food, which is not entirely feasible with young children. A man next to us got his starter and main course within half an hour even though he sat down later than us, we thought this was strange. I think the kitchen was understaffed? We will no longer return to this Italian.

We came to eat here before visiting the Efteling Theater. Friendly welcome and smooth service. Food was very tasty, portions were good so you couldn't overeat. Sanitary facilities were neatly maintained.

Nice atmosphere and excellent waitresses. I ordered tagliate di manzo for 28 euros and unfortunately it was really disappointing. It is not a tagliate (finely cut pieces, see Google images) but just a piece of tournedos and that is how it should be called on the menu. I asked in advance if it was cut like that and they neatly indicated that it was indeed a whole piece. No problem, but the meat, even though it was cooked well in terms of structure, just had an unpleasant taste. The sauce partly made up for this, but the entire presentation was not worth 28 euros. Fries were tasty but lukewarm. Despite the great vibe, I'm afraid we won't be back anytime soon. OMG we hadden gisteren (16/01/25) avond een heerlijk diner maar hoofdzakelijk wat waren de medewerkers charmant, hulpvaardig en super vriendelijk… een aanrader, super bedankt en tot de volgende de keer 🥰

It was a messy mess. 1 girl who seemed absent and asked me twice uhh did you say something. The food and drinks took a very long time, while people who came in later even got their food before we got our drinks. You receive the wrong wine, ask for this and are simply told that it is the wine that was ordered. Food was decent but not spectacular. Very unfortunate, I expected more.

On December 1, 2024, we had dinner with 9 people after the Efteling. Excellent service, nice atmosphere, nice decoration of the restaurant. Pizzas beautifully prepared with tasty ingredients. Only... the pizzas were served too cold. Tip: use preheated plates.

Mediocre food for a low price in a nice environment. We waited almost an hour for the food even though it was only half full. The salmon was dry, the children's spaghetti really not tasty. The fish casserole was good. Nice staff and nice atmosphere but could really be better. Was not expensive (65,- for 3 people, main course and drink only).

Vanavond met 3 personen gegeten. Als voorgerecht namen we focaccia. Enigszins aangebrand maar smaakte verder prima. Een van de hoofdgerechten was een pizza calzone. De eerste versie die geserveerd werd was aangebrand maar koud vanbinnen. De champignons waren rauw. De tweede versie die kwam was zo mogelijk nog aangebrander en ook koud vanbinnen. De ober gaf aan dat het erg lastig is om een pizza calzone te bakken. Er werd aangeboden om een nieuwe pizza te bakken maar aangezien de tafelgenoten al klaar waren met eten en het vertrouwen er niet was in een goed exemplaar hebben we daar geen gebruik van gemaakt. Jammer dat er geen enkele tegemoetkoming werd aangeboden.

We had dinner at Tasty Italy during our De Efteling stay. The restaurant was busy in the middle of the week (Wednesday). The guest room is very comfortably furnished. We ordered 4x pizza with starters. The pizza was very tasty with a tasty dough and delicious toppings. We can also recommend the starters, especially the tomato soup. Unfortunately there was no room in my stomach for dessert. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. All in all a successful visit. 👍

We had dinner at this cozy restaurant for our eldest daughter's birthday. There were decorations waiting for her with the 10 and balloons. This was a big surprise for her and also for us. She felt like having a great birthday! The fireworks with her desserts were also very cool! The food was very tasty, but the chicken could have used a few more vegetables. The ratio wasn't quite right. We ordered the chicken together but without the fries because we don't eat that and therefore asked for grilled vegetables, but this was a very small bowl. Everything else was really great! Maybe a tip for the children's menu, something like green peas or cucumber fries? Thanks for the wonderful evening!

I live in Tilburg and wanted a change in scenery, Waalwijk did not disappoint. Such a beautiful and peaceful town where Tasty Italy was just a cherry on top. The exterior and interior were very Italian-vibe giving with lots of space and overall perfect ambiance. I am a very big pasta lover and the shrimp pasta I ate there was immaculate! (Might even say the best I ever had.) Staff members were very professional and polite with great knowledge of their menu and recommendations. If I could put more than 5 star review, I definitely would:) Can’t wait to dine there again.

Had a lovely dinner with the family last night. Both the penne pasta, pizza and ravioli were delicious! Neat, smooth, friendly service, there was a good response when glasses were empty. Children enjoyed the Nutella pizza with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert and the bill afterwards was also decent. Definitely recommended and we will definitely come back!

Guancale from the pasta carbonara could have been cooked a little more, it was very soft. <Maybe a matter of taste ;)> Furthermore, the Pasta Gusto and the fresh tomato soup are definitely recommended!

Despite the crowds – it was packed with at least fifty guests – we were warmly welcomed and immediately warned that serving could take a little longer. An honesty and customer focus that we greatly appreciated. With our growling stomachs we asked for a starter that was not on the menu. To our surprise and delight, we were treated to freshly baked, spiced bread with truffle sauce and butter. It was an exceptional gesture, especially considering how busy it was, and the taste was phenomenal. The owner and his team were without a doubt the friendliest we have ever met. Their hospitality was unprecedented and created a warm and personal atmosphere. The food was excellent: I chose the meat menu with a perfectly prepared steak and trimmings, while my daughter enjoyed a delicious Margherita pizza. The fresh vegetables were still steaming when they arrived at the table, and the portions were so generous that we took some home. An important plus is that Tasty Italy serves halal food, which is a big advantage for us. In addition to the great food and fantastic service, both the child-friendliness and the wheelchair accessibility of the restaurant are worth mentioning. Everything from the toilet to the restaurant itself was in top condition. Our evening ended with a personal greeting and a warm farewell from the owner, who even accompanied us to the door. The bill was only around 50 euros, which is very reasonable considering the quality and service offered. We gave a tip of 10 euros as a thank you, which was more than deserved. Very noisy location. We sat in the 'damn corner' and didn't often see staff passing by. 4 out of 5 dishes tasted great. When clearing the table, please indicate this. Very nice service that we received a dessert on the house.

Really way too expensive for the price and quality. It's been a long time since I ate such a bad pizza. Too young staff, with far too little knowledge/experience. Afterwards I was surprised that it was so busy there....

After a day at Efteling, we stopped at a random restaurant in Waalwijk on the way home. Nice restaurant that Tasty Italy. Modern decor, stylish and cozy. Also nice are those almost Delft blue tiles on the floor and the Pizza oven in the open kitchen with Tasty Italy on it. The staff helped us quickly and the pizzas and chicken fillet we ordered were very tasty. I also found the bill surprisingly affordable...I think a bit cheaper than most restaurants in the Randstad. Now after 7 p.m., we could return to Noordwijk full throttle.

Ordered everything there more often and ordered again after a long time and it was once again a delicious real Italian pizza and within 10 minutes they were at the door, highly recommended for someone who likes real Italian pizzas.

Ate from the menu with 13 people. Clearly too much for the kitchen. One dish burned and collapsed, the other served lukewarm. No control over spending by the kitchen. Sat at a long narrow table. Not the most pleasant setup for an outing.
