A visit to TOV is always the highlight of our vacation. Once again, we had an excellent menu with a perfectly matched wine pairing. The service is very attentive and friendly. The hostess radiates a joy we rarely experience in restaurants. Thank you for the lovely evening.

What an incredible oasis of gastronomy. From the moment you enter, you feel the warmth, and that continues throughout your entire stay. After a very friendly welcome, you are presented with the menus and begin with an aperitif. The food is delicious and incredibly beautifully presented. The owners and staff are always very friendly and attentive to all guests. You feel very comfortable from the very beginning, and that remains the case throughout your entire visit.

Had a fantastic evening with the TOV Menu. Surprised from start to finish with great dishes, delicious wines and excellent service. We had the normal menu twice and the vegetarian menu twice. Both were really fantastic. You can choose from a matching wine arrangement, but if you find this too much, you can also choose the half wine arrangement, which means you still get a glass of wine with each course, but half a glass. I think this is a great addition! The service has now also developed the option of a Mocktail arrangement with the menu, which was really surprisingly nice. Each course was accompanied by a super delicious luxury mocktail that had been given a lot of care and attention. Highly recommended for non-alcohol drinkers! For dessert we were taken to the cheese department where we could put together our own personalized cheese board with the fromagier, who knew everything about a selection of special cheeses. All dishes were perfectly prepared and equally delicious in their own way. 5 stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just do it! Other reviews and photos speak for themselves, it is formidable. Addition from us that all the staff knows how to sense the atmosphere and timing throughout the evening. What was very positive, was the multiple refills of wine when the glass was almost empty, but the dish was not finished (or when we were too busy chatting.. ;)). Also the attention to put together a personal cheese selection was of great class. Very reasonable prices, bubbles - 7 courses with wine arrangement - cocktail, for less than EUR 200 per person. All details and etiquette completely perfect. Big compliment!

Super hospitable and nice atmosphere. Everyone tasted six courses very well and everything looked neat and tidy. The toilets are also neat.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful 5-course meal at TOV with matching wine and beer accompaniment. Every dish was a delight and prepared with great attention to detail. The combination of the food with the matching wines and beers was excellent and perfectly rounded off our culinary experience. The service was simply outstanding! The hosts were extremely friendly and attentive, which made our evening even more enjoyable. A special highlight was the greeting from the kitchen, which surprised us with an additional delicacy and gave us a personal touch. The employees are also very dog-friendly, which was a great pleasure for us. All in all, we had a great evening at TOV and can highly recommend it. A place where we not only had excellent food, but also experienced a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Wij zijn hier inmiddels meermaals geweest en het blijft ontzettend goed! Zo goed dat wij speciaal van Apeldoorn naar Schagen rijden om hier te eten. Het eten is echt Michelinster waardig en de bijpassende wijnen zijn fantastisch! Daarnaast is Marlies zo ontzettend gastvriendelijk die het ook echt elke keer waardeert dat je langskomt! Het is altijd een feestje en echt een avond om nooit te vergeten!

In a word, fantastic, absolutely star-worthy. Delicious, creative dishes and fantastic, knowledgeable and sweet service. From the enthusiastic and knowledgeable lady who served us for most of the evening, the young boy who told us so enthusiastically about the wines, to the owner (?) who made no secret of her pride about her company. And everyone else who helped us. From 8:30 PM to 12:45 AM we didn't feel like it was taking a long time for even a minute, something happened every time. You'll need a strong wallet here, but it's totally worth it. Thanks for a great evening!

We had a fantastic evening at Tov last Friday. My husband and I are both vegan and celebrated our eight-year wedding anniversary with the Helemaal Tov package. The food was delicious, and the wine pairing matched perfectly with the different dishes we ate. The atmosphere and acoustics were very nice, and the service couldn't have been better. Today we celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary with a delicious dinner at TOV Schagen, our favorite restaurant in the region. After a nice welcome by the TOV staff, we start with a nice glass of champagne. We had a nice chat with owner Marlies and then opted for the “completely TOV” menu. A multi-course menu including a matching whole or half wine arrangement, accompanied by Marlies' expert explanation. What beautiful dishes were on the menu. Beautiful appetizers, a delicious steak tartare from veal, a beautiful preparation of cauliflower, etc. One dish that stood out was bluefin tuna with cod. The tuna is sustainably caught. You can read all data regarding catch, weight, transport and the like via a QR code. Informative, transparent and sustainable! The beef cheek followed by 2 preparations of pheasant were also top dishes! Nice portions and it's good to see that the kitchen has worked on this with a lot of passion. Finished with delicious chocolate ice cream as a pre-dessert, a sweet dessert and a cup of coffee. We enjoyed it and will of course come back!

We hebben vandaag onze 24e trouwdag gevierd met een heerlijk diner bij TOV Schagen, ons favoriete restaurant in de regio. Na een fijne ontvangst door de bediening van TOV starten we met een mooi glas champagne. Gezellig gepraat met eigenaresse Marlies en vervolgens gekozen voor het “helemaal TOV” menu. Een menu met meerdere gangen en inclusief bijpassend heel of half wijnarangement, begeleid door de kundige uitleg van Marlies. Wat een mooie gerechten zaten er in het menu. Mooie amuses, een heerlijke steak tartare van kalf, een mooie bereiding van bloemkool etc. Eén gerecht wat er uitsprong was blauwvintonijn met kabeljauw. De tonijn is duurzaam gevangen. Je kan alle gegevens omtrent de vangst, gewicht, vervoer en dergelijke nalezen via een QR code. Informatief, transparant en duurzaam! Ook de runderwang opgevolgd door 2 bereidingen van fazant waren top gerechten ! Mooie porties en goed te zien dat de keuken hier met veel passie aan gewerkt heeft. Afgesloten met lekker chocolade ijs als pre-dessert,een zoet dessert en een kopje koffie. We hebben genoten en komen uiteraard weer terug!

Great service and great food. We have been to TOV several times and have never been disappointed. The large menu is also highly recommended. Very generous with the wine accompaniment and very personal care. For me it is completely incomprehensible that the TOV has no star. The standard is well above other restaurants that have one star or at least some other award.

After a number of extremely mediocre and particularly overpriced experiences in mid-range restaurants, we turned to the Michelin guide again in search of a restaurateur who knows how to do it. That's how we ended up at restaurant TOV in Schagen. The Bib Gourmand entry in the Michelin Guide is often a very good indicator of a high-quality culinary fine dining experience for a relatively reasonable price. Immediately upon arrival we had a very good feeling about TOV. The ladies neatly dressed and coiffed. We were warmly welcomed and given a beautiful spot on the terrace. My wife and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on this occasion. I had indicated this in the reservation and also that she was vegetarian. We both opted for the TOV experience, the full chef's menu including non-alcoholic or wine pairing. Of course my wife received a vegetarian menu, which was clearly understood from the reservation. As the courses progressed we became more and more enthusiastic. Delicious food. Some courses really stood out for me, such as the beef sausage with duck liver, delicious. Also vegetarian it was a taste and texture feast. The service was extraordinary. What attention and genuine kindness. The TOV team is truly committed to their guests. Several thoughtful references were made to our 8 year marriage. It is only a small detail, but carefully reading the reservation and comments therein can sometimes be skipped, but at TOV all attention is paid to this. For desert we were surprised with a box of friandises to take away. This on the occasion of our 8 year wedding anniversary. The price was extremely reasonable for this top experience. 288 euros including wine/mocktail pairing. We went home with an experience we won't soon forget. Team TOV : great job, it was a pleasure to eat with you tomorrow!!

Wir verbrachten einen wunderschönen Abend mit tollem Menü und sehr gutem Wein. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und auch die Restaurantbesitzerin kam auf ein nettes Gespräch vorbei. Wir können das Restaurant sehr weiterempfehlen und kommen im nächsten Urlaub gerne wieder.

A very nice restaurant with really, really good food. There is a menu and the choice between 4 and 7 courses including optional wine accompaniment or even non-alcoholic accompaniment. I haven't experienced the latter in particular, but it was extraordinary and anything but 0-8-15. every drink to match the meal. My wife had the wine pairing and that was very good too! The service was excellent and the staff was very, very nice!! Absolute recommendation!!

Wat een mooie beleving, een genot om hier te dineren. Van begin tot eind pure gastvrijheid. Heerlijke gerechten, smaakvol en mooi opgemaakte borden. De Bijpassende wijnen maakten het compleet. Het is prijzig maar waar voor je geld en echt een avond uit.

Es war wie immer das Highlight des Urlaubs bei Marlies und Roy zu essen. Jeder Gang unseres Vier- und Fünfgang Menus war excellent. Rib-Eye sehr gutes Fleisch mit sehr schmackhafter Soße. Am besten gefiel mir der Gang mit Ente. Prima Nachtisch. Service perfekt wie immer. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Weiter so.

De waardering van TOV op Tripadvisor is zeker terecht. Alle gerechtjes van ons 5 gangen menu waren stuk voor stuk bijzonder en heerlijk van smaak. Ook de wijnen van het bijpassende wijnarrangement waren allemaal juweeltjes. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk en attent. Je moet er wel de tijd voor nemen( wat ons betreft kon het wat sneller) en een goedgevulde portemonnaie meenemen, maar dan is het zeer zeker de moeite waard.

What a great evening for birthday celebration, splendid food, superb service and we were even allowed to bring our (well educated, :-) dog. The food is in our view at Michelin star level, we had the 7 course menue at below 100Euros, well worth it. We hope to be back soon, many thanks for having us.

By far the best restaurant in Schagen. The atmosphere is unique and very pleasant. One of the couple who run the restaurant is in the kitchen and the other is in the service. The atmosphere, service and food are of a high standard!

We had a wonderful evening at TOV! The food was first class and the service was breathtaking. We were treated extremely courteously and our dog was treated 100% like a guest. We can recommend TOV wholeheartedly and will definitely come back!!

In the summer of 2021, we "coincidentally" ended up at TOV during our cycling tour through North Holland. The experience of that evening was so positive that it made us promise that we would definitely come back again. On Easter Monday 2024 the time had finally come. I will be brief about the 7-course Easter menu. Exquisite! Both the flavors, the matching wines and the presentation. TOP done. I would like to say more about another aspect. The staff/service. An excellent dinner in a great ambiance naturally also includes excellent service. And this one was of great class. Bravo! First of all, the hostess herself, Marlies. She personally welcomed all guests together with someone from the service. Helped out in the service and occasionally visited the guests for a short chat. We were also "waved goodbye" upon departure. Look, that's taking care of the guests. Very good. But there was also nothing to criticize about the other staff in the service. All dressed uniformly (!) and they presented the dishes with great enthusiasm and with good explanations. According to my memory, they have all (6 m/F) been at our table at one time or another. Very nice. The staff was also very attentive and observant. Example. When we went to the toilet, the napkin fell to the floor. It was immediately picked up and neatly folded again and put down. A detail perhaps, but very telling about the overall quality of the restaurant. A really good team working together. Our compliments. We had a GREAT evening. And yes, we will definitely come back and bring our culinary friends. Thanks everyone.

Words are actually too short to describe the experience at TOV. No matter how cliché, you really have to experience it yourself. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Explain everything well about the dishes and the accompanying wines or non-alcoholic cocktails. The dishes are exquisite, really delicious and everything comes together beautifully. Often with these types of concepts, the dishes only come into their own with the wine pairing, but at TOV also with the non-alcoholic cocktails that are also perfect and match the dishes. That makes it great for someone who can't drink. Do you have an extra experience? So in my opinion they score really high with this. A new menu every month, now that may be too much of a good thing ;-) but we will definitely come back more often. PERFECT!!!

After a delicious lunch, as a kind of 'taster', in October, we celebrated our relationship anniversary with six family members and friends in TOV restaurant on December 15, 2023. After a warm and very hospitable welcome, we were very spoiled with the 'Completely TOV menu' and the matching and, above all, tasty wines for each dish. We sat at the table from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM and enjoyed every minute of it. Kudos to the artistically beautifully presented dishes, which provided unprecedented taste sensations. Compliments for a super service from all the very well-coordinated staff members and for the personal attention from hostess Marlies. Het is altijd heel erg "TOV" om bij TOV te mogen eten. Je zit vorstelijk, wordt hartelijk bediend en natuurlijk ook niet heel onbelangrijk heerlijke gerechten, waarbij je smaakpupillen even in de overdrive gaan. Een aanwinst voor Schagen en ook voor Noord-Holland. Is een stukje omrijden meer dan waard.

Tov is echt mijn absolute favoriete restaurant. Een avondje bij Tov betekend automatisch ultiem genieten. Je word in de watten gelegd dat is echt ongekend. Personeel straalt uit dat ze echt houden van hun vak. Zoveel kennis geven ze en zoveel warmte je voelt je echt welkom. Het eten is keer op keer weer fantastisch. Wat een geweldige beleving, perfect op elkaar afgestemde smaken en daarbij weer de wijnen die het helemaal afmaken. Puur genieten! Het kost iets meer dan een gemiddeld restaurant maar dan heb je ook echt een avondvullend programma waarbij je op je gemak een goed gesprek kunt voeren. Mijn man en ik komen hier in elk geval 2 x per jaar en deze avonden genieten we echt in alle rust van elkaar gezelschap. Valt niet te vergelijken met andere restaurants.

Besser geht nicht! Wir waren schon das 2. Mal da und werden wieder kommen. Das Essen hat Sterne Niveau und das Ambiente ist super. Hier muss man sich einfach wohlfühlen. Die sympatische Chefin erklärte uns jeden Gang. Wieder mal ein gelungener Abend,Danke!

Wij vierden hier vanavond onze verloving. We hadden gereserveerd voor 6 personen. Komen speciaal vanuit Apeldoorn om hier te eten want wat is het hier goed! We werden volledig in de watten gelegd, wijntjes, eten en service verdienen een dikke 10+! Een aanrader voor iedereen die echt lekker uit eten wil! Ze verdienen 100% een Michelinster. Wij komen zeker nog meermaals terug;)

Wij hebben onze trouwdag gevierd met een etentje bij TOV. En dat was een zeer positieve ervaring. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, wat een prachtige en smaakvolle gerechten. Allemaal met aandacht en liefde gemaakt en dat zie je en proef je. Ook de medewerkers waren allemaal vriendelijk en gericht op het je naar de zin maken. En dat is gelukt. We waren positief verrast. Ik vierde met mijn man ons 1 jarig jubileum bij TOV in Schagen. We kenden het restaurant niet. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en gefeliciteerd. We kregen een superleuk plaatsje vlakbij de open keuken. We hebben een oprecht fantastisch 7-gangen diner gegeten met mooie producten waarbij er steeds rekening met onze persoonlijke wensen werd gehouden. We waren oprecht verrast door de mate van gastvrijheid, hartelijkheid en de uitleg die we bij ieder product kregen. Kortom.... we hebben een topavond gehad en komen zeker nog vaker terug. Dit restaurant is een echte aanrader.

Wat een genot om hier neer te strijken. Of je nou gaat lunchen of dineren. Met een groep of met zijn 2en. Alles is altijd on point en je blijft, als je niet uit kijkt, eeuwig hangen.

Een echte aanrader. Je vraagt je af waarom dit restaurant nog geen Michelinster heeft. Alles klopte: zeer vriendelijke begroeting, mooie inrichting, stijlvol gedekte tafels, zeer creatieve en culinaire hoogstandjes. Bovendien de juiste hoeveelheden om na 6 gangen, in ons geval, precies genoeg gegeten te hebben. Heerlijke bijpassende wijnen (pluim voor sommelier) en de afsluitende koffie is ook vermeldenswaard. Keurig vriendelijk begeleid naar de uitgang namen we afscheid maar hopelijk niet voor lang. Geweldig goede ervaring dus en als ik bij Michelin zou werken...

Ce fut un festin ! une soirée que nous retiendrons longtemps... Du début à la fin, des amuses-bouches au Brownie maison qui accompagne le café, tout était parfait... Un régal pour les papilles que ce menu 4 services à 56€, à commencer par un tartare revisité, accompagné d'un sorbet menthe, d'une mousse de basilic et pesto, d'une boule de mozzarella, d'une mousse de foie gras en syphon, et d'un sponge cake au persil, pour ensuite enchainer avec un elbot cuit à la perfection et sa mousse de potirons, son émulsion de pommes de terre et poireaux et ses légumes frais. Arrive alors notre coup de coeur, le plat principal composé d'une tranche de veau cuit à basse température à l'anis vert (ou à la badiane), sa sauce aux morilles, son rosti et sa julienne de navets et petits pois et pour clôturer en apothéose par un dessert aussi beau que bon (trop d'ingrédients pour tous les citer, mais quelle harmonie) ! Le tout accompagné par des vins soigneusement sélectionnés pour ne faire qu'un avec les plats... Bref, pour un prix raisonnable, un repas formidable. Ce serait faire un affront que de ne pas parler de l'accueil, juste magnifique ainsi que de la gentillesse et le professionnalisme du personnel, aux petits soins pour tous les clients... Cet endroit mérite toute votre attention... Il ne va pas rester longtemps sans étoiles... Bien entendu, une déco très soignée, des tables dressées au cordeau, et une ambiance feutrée malgré le monde, tout est réuni pour passer un moment inoubliable.

Heerlijk gegeten, bekwame bediening, leuke sfeer, totaal niet stijf. Echt een beleving!!!

Wauw wat was dit een leuke ervaring!! Werkelijk alles klopte. Fantastisch mooi opgemaakt bordjes, heerlijke bij passende wijntjes en het personeel weet waar ze over praten. Wij hebben een fantastische avond gehad dankjewel!!

Oprecht alles klopte! De smaak de wijn de hoeveelheid, de passie in het eten tot het personeel wat je behandeld als een god. Wij komen zeker terug!

Wer ein besonderes gastronomisches Erlebnis sucht, ist hier goldrichtig. Super Service und fantastisches Essen. Kann man mir weiterempfehlen.

Altijd even vriendelijk al ben je een jaar niet geweest, Altijd of je thuis komt. Super gastvrij, en lekker eten met bij passende wijnen. Echt genieten!
