Restaurant Troubadour in Wijk 00 Tubbergen

We arrived at the restaurant for lunch at 3:10 PM. Lunch was no longer available, as it was only open until 3:00 PM. It was strange that only two tables were occupied. And then we couldn't have lunch.

We had a great evening, Piet was also great, the children enjoyed playing and the uncles were also able to test out the playground equipment, in a word, we had a fantastic evening, thank you all, definitely worth repeating

A great playground where kids can have a blast. The staff is friendly and speaks Twente fluently. Plus, it's a pleasant place to sit.

My son has celiac disease (he absolutely cannot have gluten). He gets a very sore stomach with headaches and nausea, which can last up to two weeks. Last Sunday (September 7, 2025) was his birthday, and we ate here with 15 people. My son had gluten-free food, but on Monday, his stomach hurt so badly that he cried all evening. He had a sore head and nausea. He returned from this restaurant, thank you! We also sent you an email, but they didn't respond. Shame on you.

We had a lovely lunch at a very nice restaurant. I'm gluten-free, and that wasn't a problem. The gluten-free bread was excellent. And the tea was fantastic!

It's a great place to eat with kids. It's located at a recreation park. The menu offers something for everyone, including a good selection for children. It was a shame we were given a spot under a staircase, while many tables remained empty. As the evening progressed, staff regularly passed by the door, almost hitting us. After dessert, they seemed to have completely forgotten about us. The kids were tired, and we left, asking if they could pay Grandpa, who was still waiting for Grandma. They looked at us strangely and asked where we were 🙈. But in the end, Grandpa was able to pay.

Nice restaurant where you can enjoy a meal with the children. And the children can play nicely in the climbing frame.

De Troubadour is a great restaurant with a good menu, offering fish and meat options. Dishes are served with fried baby potatoes and fries, along with some raw vegetables. We had a great meal, and the wait for our food was reasonable—not too long, but also not too fast. Friendly staff and quick service. The outdoor terrace is beautifully situated under large parasols, and sunny spots are also available. Children will have a great time in the playground right next to the terrace. The restaurant is a lovely addition to the campsite. Prices are also reasonable for the food served. Parking is easily accessible and free for guests from outside the campsite. Restaurant de Troubadour is highly recommended for a delicious meal and enjoying the outdoors. It's beautifully situated and easily accessible for cyclists. It's also a great place for lunch and drinks.

The food was excellent, but it was teeming with flies. The food and drinks were also practically dumped in front of us. Within an hour, we had our appetizer, main course, and ice cream.

The Troubadour is always a hit with kids, especially in good weather. It's a bit of a drive from Enschede for us, but always worth the trip. Enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy restaurant, and the kids can have fun both indoors and outdoors in the playground. It's popular, so the play areas can get a bit crowded.

They really can't tap soft ice cream here.. 2.85 for a children's ice cream on soft ice cream.. thought it was because of the staff, but twice dramatically little.. I really feel cheated now

We were there twice over Pentecost. It's located on a campsite, but the menu is only in Dutch (is English the bare minimum here?). The food was good, and the indoor playground was a highlight for the kids. The service staff were helpful, but even here, we rarely got by with English.

Normally super satisfied, but tonight they didn't seem to have it together, even though there were only 4 tables occupied. Drinks were not refilled, sauw did not arrive on time, food was lukewarm, children's food came 10 minutes earlier than that of adults. Then asked for the dessert menu, after 20 minutes of not receiving a menu we left. We provided our feedback at checkout but were only told "yes yes" and "okay". Hopefully we will have a better experience in the future.

Great restaurant, but quite pricey. That's okay because the food is delicious. I didn't think it was done just recommending the Arretjescake to a child. This later turned out to be the most expensive dessert on the menu. Overall fine

After a friendly welcome, we were assigned a nice table close to the indoor play area. The children had a great time playing, the food was very tasty and we really had a nice evening as a family!

The meat is tasty and quite a lot of it. Side dishes of fries, baked potatoes and a very small bowl of raw vegetables. You can order this extra, but it was really very little. The service was friendly. It was Sunday, during the holiday period and therefore very busy. We had to wait a long time for the food. We are not dessert people, but I think 8 euros is expensive. What I think is a shame is that the number of parking spaces is far too few and you therefore have to park along the narrow street. At the parking lot you first have to drive in to see if there is still room and if not, you have to go back where other cars are already waiting. Awkward. This can be better. Went again yesterday. (Monday, July 29) There was plenty of parking space, the food was delicious. We immediately ordered some more raw vegetables which were not charged. The staff is super friendly and says they work in a great team. They are having a good time and it shows. Us too, by the way. 😃👍

In contrast to the many positive reactions, we are less enthusiastic about this catering opportunity. There were five of us. The atmosphere in the catering facility is good. We did find the play farm less attractive than the restaurant itself, but fine. Also fun for young children to play, indoors or outdoors. But we were also less happy on some points: Unfortunately, our daughter received her food 10-15 minutes earlier than the rest, they forgot to write down my son's order and I ordered a well-done steak but it was served rare. Not as you expect, especially since the price level is not modest. Of course, things can go wrong at times, but when we shared our disappointment about these matters, the only response was “we are doing our best”. Furthermore, no form of understanding, “sense of compassion” or any kind of apology or apology. In terms of food: The starters tasted great. The taste of the food and the attractiveness of the food was not surprising/meager. As a side dish, a salad was served that did not look fresh at all and could easily have been on 3 other tables earlier. And the three of us had to make do with a small bowl of fries. All in all, not recommended from us. After a while we got tired of it and returned home without any real satisfaction.

Restaurant voor aan de toegangsweg naar een camping. Maar daar houdt de vergelijking met recreatie als je een bv snelle hap buffer verwacht op. Super mooi gezellig restaurant. Zeer aardige bediening en service gericht. Zeker de knapzak is de moeite waard! Gezellig gezeten en gegeten waarbij de bediening oog heeft voor de klant.

Nice place to stay with children, indoor playground can be seen from the restaurant and that is handy

Had to wait more than an hour for our food even though the restaurant was far from full. Then the children get their pancake, we as parents have to wait another 15 minutes. Went there for the good reviews but we were really disappointed. No apologies or questions if everything was to your liking, I won't be going here again anytime soon.

With an emphasis on meat dishes. There are also some vegetarian options. There are no clear vegan options on the menu. It is not entirely clear whether there are options for this. There are several dishes on the menu for children. Unfortunately, these are limited in terms of vegetables. This makes choosing a healthy option a bit more difficult.

Meerdere keren dit jaar geweest. Uitstekende bediening, als je wilt zit je nooit met een leeg glas. Eten is ook lekker. Ultieme voordeel is de speelplek voor kinderen, waardoor de kinderen er een toptijd hebben en ouders eindelijk eens rustig kunnen eten.

Leuke kindvriendelijke restaurant. Lekker eten, al mochten de porties iets groter wat mij betreft. Ideal met kinderen met indoor speeltuin en buiten met mooi weer ook een leuke speeltuin.

Gisteravond ons 40jarig huwelijk gevierd met familie en kennissen. Top avond gehad. Prima geregeld.

Geweldig restaurant,voor ieder wat wils. Lekker rustig eten en de kleintjes lekker klimmen en klauteren. Wij hebben genoten van de avonden die wij er in de vakantie geweest zijn. Heel vakkundig vriendelijk personeel die het je aan niets laat ontbreken. Super lekker gegeten en hulde aan de kok. Bedankt voor deze top avonden!!!

Een maand op camping n Kaps gestaan. In die periode meerdere malen wezen eten in de Troubadour, het was keer op keer geweldig lekker!

Top restaurant!!! Hele goede bediening, die om zich heen kijkt tijdens het werken, oog voor detail hebben en zeker klantvriendelijk zo zijn! Ook de keuken verdient een groot compliment, eten is erg lekker, prachtig opgemaakte borden en zelfs aan de toetjes wordt veel aandacht besteed! Bijkomend voordeel voor de kinderen is er een prachtige ruimte om lekker te spelen; klimmen, glijden en bouwen... Voor mij een top restaurant!

Dit is een echt mooi familie restaurant. Lekker eten en en een perfecte plek om de kinderen even vrij te laten. De bediening is echt goed en ook snel!

Geweldig accomodatie voor jong en oud.

Uitstekend eten voor volwassenen en enorm veel vertier voor kinderen. De mixed grill was niet heel heet, maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Het ijsje na afloop was een complete maaltijd. De bediening komt uiterst professioneel en verzorgd over. Puntje van kritiek is dat wij als garnituur toch wel warme groenten misten.
