Restaurant ZieZo in Wijk 11 Zoutelande

It looks like Restaurant ZieZo lives up to its reputation. Based on the reviews, we were hankering to get our hands on some good seafood and Restaurant ZieZo delivered. What is at least as good as how all of the food tasted at ZieZo was the service. Super understanding (our son was absolutely not on his best behavior that evening), patient and accommodating. In general, it looks like the restaurant attracts nice, well-off guests, which really helped also to make our evening relaxed, even with all that was going on. Ambiance is also good, but in either case it is a clear 5/5 - highly recommended!

We had a wonderful evening at ZieZo. The fish and chips were exceptionally good, and we definitely recommend the pita bread as a starter. The value for money was perfect for us, and the food was high quality. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. A definite recommendation!

We ate there twice during our stay in Zoutelande. We were very satisfied both times. Great service and a very dog-friendly restaurant.

We had delicious mussels, perfectly seasoned! The appetizer was also very good. The dessert, coffee, and sweet bites were tasty but nothing special.

We ate here on Saturday. I had a trio of fish as a starter, and it was delicious: tender eel, delicious salmon, and shrimp, all in a generous portion. For my main course, my wife had a cod steak—a substantial piece of fish and perfectly cooked. I had the mussels for my main course, and they were delicious, good quality, and well-prepared. The atmosphere was great, the service was friendly, and the restaurant looks beautiful inside. I definitely recommend it.

There were two of us there. We had the mussels and the halibut. The mussels were very good, but the halibut fillet could have been improved. The fries somewhat compensated for this. The fish was a bit bland; everything (mashed potatoes, sauce, etc.) could have been seasoned better. Excellent service, OK atmosphere, and reasonable value.

Friendly people, food was good. They made a mistake and then deducted it from the price.

Overall, it was a lovely evening, and ultimately, what more could you ask for?! But the price/performance ratio is a tiny bit lacking for me, so it deducts one point. The food was definitely delicious and high-quality, but not culinary earth-shattering. But that's certainly complaining at a high level...

Service and service great! Eat a lot of fish and not really for a lunch, then you only have a choice of three sandwiches, by the way we tasted two and they were tasty! See photos. Atmosphere is a bit cool, but clean and fresh. Hygienic and neatly served. I think you can eat good fish here.

I had the best asparagus soup I can remember here today. I wish I could cook like that. Very nice service and fair price in a top location. I will definitely come back here again.

The best food we had in Zoutelande! We went for seafood lunch: oysters, sashimi and tuna carpaccio. Everything was fresh, super tasty and served beautifully! Only the wine selection can get a bit better. A huge plus is that the restaurant is dog-friendly.

The catch of the day, fish and chips and naan bread are very tasty and well prepared. We also found the service very friendly.

Op aanraden van onze schoonzus hier geweest. Heerlijk gegeten! Goed advies over de wijn. We hadden beiden de vangst van de dag (roodbaars), deze was echt heerlijk. Als voorgerecht hadden we de gamba's met mango en de calamaris. Ook de hond was welkom.

Wanneer wij in Zeeland zijn dan kunnen wij nooit dit restaurant ontwijken wanten komen hier heel graag. Het personeel wel is vriendelijk en correct. Het heeft een leuke menukaart en de prijs-kwaliteit is heel goed. Inmiddels is het restaurant en het terras mooi verbouwd. Het terras is heel gezellig aangekleed en super leuk om hier de hele middag te vertoeven.

Heerlijk gegeten en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Er was iets mis gegaan met t vlees. Werd keurig opgelost en zelfs nog glas wijn als excuses gekregen. Zeker n aanrader!

Die Qualität des Essens war gut, die Mitarbeiterin freundlich, aber das was auf dem Teller war, war „sehr übersichtlich“ für die gesalzenen Preise.

Op de menukaart staan voor sommige gerechten een hartje. Dit is de suggestie van de keuken… vertrouw in hun goede smaak en ga ervoor !! De zeetong is onovertroffen ! De vangst van de dag was kabeljauw en met een schuim van dille sterrenwaardig. Ze hebben een open keuken, kleine kaart en geen geheim voor kwaliteit ! De eerste indruk is dat het ietsje duur is voor een gewoon eetzaakje, maar elke euro waard. Het Zeeuwse dessert van de chef is heel lokaal en verrassend van smaak om ook dit te proberen. Eén 100% aanrader dus !

Wonderful experience. Delicious food, very friendly service and a very nice interior.

Sublime food. The food was good and so was the atmosphere in the restaurant. There was also room for our dog daughter. The lady serving was alone, but that didn't make her any less friendly. A pleasant chat was simply possible. In short, definitely recommended if you are in Zoutelande. Just a little neater and more chic than the rest of the restaurants on the main street. We were there on March 3 and had made a reservation. There were some tables available, but I think you should definitely make a reservation during high season. (And the welcome card next to the sign upon entry made it complete).

We had mussels as a starter and for the main course the daily catch of sea bass and the bowl with salmon and tuna. It was very tasty and everything was fresh. The service was very nice. Thank you! We can recommend the restaurant

Dit is een heerlijke plek om te eten. We zaten in een tafeltje voor 2 ergens binnen in het midden van de zaak (buiten was het vol) en dat vonden we niet de gezelligste plek. Maar het eten was heerlijk en ook de wijn (Les Bertholes Grand Réserve Chardonnay) was uitstekend. De bediening was jong, maar ervaren genoeg om ons goed te bedienen.

Rustig restaurant, vanuit ons tafeltje kijkje in de keuken, eten is goed, mooi geserveerd. Voor ons wel fijn dat de hond mee kon. We hebben een heel fijne avond gehad.

Zeer gezellig restaurant. Fijne en lieve bediening. Geen erg uitgebreide kaart, maar wel voor elks wat wils. Zeer zeer lekkere en verse gerechten. Erg mooie en verfijnde gerechten. Oesters waren uiterst vers en kwamen recht uit het water. We hadden aansluitend de vangst van de dag en Zeewolf genomen. Een nette open keuken, 2 jonge chefs aan het werk. Een echte aanrader!

Wir sind bereits "Wiederholungstäter" und über den Zeitraum über eines Jahres, mehrfach zu Gast gewesen. Die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen war stets auf hohem Niveau und der Service immer sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und gut gelaunt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

ZieZo is een prima restaurant met heerlijke gerechten en zeer vriendelijk personeel. De aanwezigheid van honden en met name een blaffende vonden wij niet zo geweldig. Maar dat is kennelijk de keuze van de eigenaar .

During our visit to Zoutelande we ended up in the ZieZo restaurant. After hours of fresh air on the beach, we were half starved and I was still a bit cold (just to clarify that at the end of October the sun was still shining, but the temperature was a bit less). Even though I was cold, my friend and I decided to sit on the terrace of the ZieZo restaurant. When we sat down, the (blessed) burner above our table immediately came on. The lovely staff had seen us (from the inside) and welcomed us from a distance. 🤩 And the blankets that were provided kept my legs warm. 😊 We chose a delicious white wine and ate a fantastic dish: sole with fries. The fish was a bit tender, tasty...it was incredibly tasty!! Afterwards I had a warm apple pie for dessert...and it tasted great!!!!! The young lady who served was a gem! Sweet, friendly, attentive...to the owner of resto Ziezo: cherish her! Our visit to Zoutelande was beautiful ... and the (unplanned) dinner in this restaurant was the icing on the delicious cake! We will definitely come back!!!

Nice thing. Food ok. Desert (Zeeland wedding) very tasty. Find the dishes well priced. For example Fish and chips for €25. As I read in an earlier review, there were at least 5 dogs in the restaurant during our visit. We still think there is a downside.

Wir hatten Muscheln als Vorspeise und zum Hauptgang den Tagesfang Seebarsch und die Bowl mit Lachs und Thunfisch. Es war sehr lecker und alles frisch. Der Service sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank! Das Restaurant können wir weiterempfehlen.

More want to be than to be- We went there tonight without a reservation but get a table in front of the kitchen, which was nice really nice. Ambient and design of the restaurant is really appealing and gives the flavor of being a more upclass restaurant including the prices. Which would be fine IF, the oysters would be served opened correctly, with a little water in it, fresh from the ocean. Unfortunately this was not the case. Close to dry, only two small slices of lemon. But okay, we waited for the other dishes, sashimi was ok from fish quality but with a little twist and twerk it would be perhaps with the price. Tip: make the tortilla chips not only green, but with a taste of wasabi and give the pure soy sauce a twist. Otherwise the fish is the same like you can order online at home. Unfortunately the calf Vitello was with really really too less truffle mayo and again, no twist, no surprising spent or even salt or spices. Pretty to look at, boring to eat. Bread plate for 8 euro … and the cocktails are not made properly too. I am sooo sad 😔 Train the people, add a twist, but with this average we cannot give more than this rating.

The food is still good, but the price-performance ratio is no longer right! The catch of the day was great, but the size of the portion with the side dishes was very manageable. What a shame!

Was ein wunderbares Erlebnis! Die beiden sehr netten Servicekräfte waren stets aufmerksam, aber niemals aufdringlich, das Essen ein echter Genuss. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant sehr angenehm und ruhig. Wer die Einheitskost der Strandbuden vermeiden und ein kulinarisches Highlight in Zoutelande genießen will, sollte unbedingt hier einkehren!

Een uitstekend restaurant met heerlijk eten en een vriendelijke bediening. De gegratineerde oesters en de Zeeuwse mosselen smaken uitstekend evenals de Dame Blanche die op een originele wijze werd geserveerd. Het restaurant is een aanbeveling met dan waard.

Unfortunately, the sea bass wasn't crispy and the butter in the potato and celery mash was rancid. The bowl was delicious. You don't know a wine spritzer, water and wine were charged in full. Overall too expensive.

If you've had enough of kibbelingen, frikandell and fries, you've come to the right place. There is something different here too. We were here for second breakfast and had toast with avocado and egg. Simply delicious and everything fresh. And if you're a little hungry, this dish is also great to share. Service very attentive, very friendly and quick. We will be back. Next time for dinner.

“Not very suitable” for children under 6 - so small children not welcome. It's crazy how people apparently don't expect enough resilience from other guests to "put up with" small children - or what motives are there for systematically excluding a population group? So people with small children shouldn't be able to go out to eat? Or is this a case of “just not here”? Very weak.

The Hawaiian bowl was tasty, but way too expensive for what you get. Just like the poke bowl with salmon and tuna.

The food was good but dogs are allowed what you smell while eating. You will also not be asked whether you have an allergy to pets in the restaurant if someone comes and sits next to you with their animal.

The mussels were not of good quality, they were very small and were not seasoned. The catch of the day: haddock was very tasty. He liked the fish and chips that my son had.

Great restaurant with a small but very tasty vegan selection, which could be expanded a little, as the kitchen in the house definitely has the necessary know-how for this. We had a great evening at ZieZo. Great fish and chips and delicious salad. A must in Zoutelande.

Tasty food indeed. There is a disturbing perfume smell alternating with a musty smell. Service ok. But pricey. I ate the vegan buddah bowl. I think €26 is a bit overpriced. My wife had the Texas burger. Burger for €24.50. Also on the pricey side. Quality is good.

Really very tasty and imaginative dishes in a chic atmosphere. Only fresh ingredients. Fast, competent and super-friendly service. Clean sanitary facilities. It was funny to ask whether we wanted our Ramazzotti “with ice cream”. Excited to see what was to come, we said yes. Unfortunately, the waitress apologized shortly afterwards and said she meant ice cubes. But everyone found Freud's slip of the tongue funny. The evening was a lot of fun.

Nettes Restaurant im direkten Ortskern von Zoutelande. Kleine, aber sehr schöne Speisekarte. Wir hatten das Restaurant u.a. aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertungen im www gewählt. Klar, die Speisen sind gut präsentiert, der Service ist aufmerksam, aber insgesamt nichts überragendes. Da gibt es noch ein weitaus besseres Restaurant in Zoutelande… Der „Fang des Tages“, Rotbarsch, war gut gebraten - nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Die Austern vorab waren sehr frisch und lecker 👍🏻 Insgesamt ein schöner Abend in einem netten Lokal.

Erg lekker gegeten, vriendelijke bediening. Prijzen zijn niet veel hoger dan andere restaurants maar kwaliteit is stukken beter 👍

Very nice experience, traditional Dutch lunch platter was amazing :) simple, efficient, beautiful, clean.

Heerlijk rustig eten. Kleine kaart maar voortreffelijk. De vis is heerlijk. Uitstekende en vriendelijke bediening. Als je net iets beters zoekt dan een strand tent! Echt een aanrader

Heerlijk gegeten. We hadden geen voorgerecht, maar brood met smeersels. Was prima vers. Hoofdgerecht fish & chips was erg goed. Lekker krokant jasje rondom de witvis. De kalfsoester was ook erg goed. Goed rose gebakken en de madeira saus was om te smullen. Nagerecht zomerse zoeteliefde genomen, was ook erg lekker. Wel heel koud en de meringue had van mij wel groter gemogen, maar de combi was heerlijk.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem tollen Lokal. Vom Service bis hin zum Essen stimmte alles. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt und Ihre Fischsuppe ist ein Gedicht.
