Delicious food! Dishes are beautifully presented, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The wine selection is also varied!

End of November 25th. We dined for two. We opted for a five-course dinner. It was full from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with plenty of time between courses. We made reservations in advance; this wasn't necessary, but I imagine it would be in the summer. The service was friendly. The food was delicious, and a cheese board was added in between. Friendly service. Our request for a slightly smaller portion was politely honored. We don't drink alcohol, so we can't comment on the wine. The price-quality ratio is good. The atmosphere is pleasant. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Here's a version in the same style and tone: A very nice restaurant where we had a delicious meal. The perfect wine pairing with the dishes truly completed the experience. The service certainly deserves a compliment: we received excellent service from Milou, who was friendly, attentive, and professional. They also have a wide selection of wines, which are clearly and pleasantly explained if you're having trouble choosing. Highly recommended.

A great restaurant, with a lovely ambiance, everything was quiet and understated. We had a five-course meal. Everything was perfect, lovingly prepared, and a delicious treat. The Iberico cheeks were the highlight. The staff were super friendly and very, very attentive. A wonderfully successful evening.

Recently had dinner with four friends. The restaurant looks cozy, and the food was delicious and well-prepared. A big "but" is the portion size, which makes the price-quality ratio a bit low. The service is polite, but somewhat forced.

Restaurant Zus is truly fantastic. The food is always delicious and prepared with great care – you can taste the quality and love that goes into it. We enjoy the flavors and surprising combinations every time. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy: warm, homey, yet stylish. You always feel at home the moment you walk in. What makes it all perfect is the excellent service. The team is friendly, attentive, and always makes time for a chat. You feel truly welcome and cared for. In short: everything is perfect at Zus. Delicious food, a great atmosphere, and people who are passionate about their work. We'd love to come back and highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful meal yesterday at Restaurant ZUS in Ouddorp. We had made a reservation for 6:00 PM, but upon arrival, the table wasn't immediately available. Fortunately, this was resolved within five minutes, and we were seated at a clean table. From that moment on, we were immediately well looked after: we were asked for an aperitif and water, which made for a pleasant start. Because we had read mixed reviews of the chef's menu online, we decided to order eight individual dishes for our group of four this time (it's recommended to choose 2 to 3 dishes per person). This turned out to be a good choice. The staff were thoughtful about the order of serving, took allergies into account, and actively collaborated with us, which made for a relaxed evening. Every dish was delicious. There weren't any strong or challenging flavors, but simply good and tasty. The portions felt more like appetizers, so it wasn't very filling. Only with the fries did it become a full meal. What really stood out were the desserts and drinks. The desserts were delicious, and the cocktails and coffee perfectly rounded off the evening. All in all, a wonderful experience: a pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, and good food. For a cozy evening in Ouddorp, ZUS is definitely an excellent choice.

Unlike my five previous visits, I was a bit disappointed tonight. The dishes lacked a wow factor. And the value for money was truly lacking. It's a shame that you now get less quality for a substantially higher price. The price is star-worthy, but unfortunately, the food isn't for €306 for two people... Another delicious meal. Very nice wines. Fantastic food and very friendly service. If I could recommend one improvement, it would be soundproofing, for example, under the tables. This would prevent it from being very noisy, which unfortunately it is.

After our short stay in Ouddorp, we made a reservation at Restaurant Zus. The restaurant is atmospheric and contemporary, with small, high tables in a beautiful, black-dominated interior. The dishes on the menu are smaller portions, meaning you can choose two or three different dishes. Plenty of choice, but we opted for the Chef's 4-course menu. All courses are beautifully presented, truly beautiful. The portions are a bit on the small side, though, which could have used a little more spice. The flavors were good, but a bit more seasoning (e.g., the sea bass) would have been nice. The veal escalope course, with only two slices of meat, was also a bit sparse; an extra slice wouldn't have hurt here either. The wine list was extensive, certainly enough choice for an entry-level wine at €35. I was looking forward to a Zinfandel, but I couldn't find one on the menu. So I chose a Californian Cabernet "Panamera," which I really enjoyed. All in all, we had a pleasant evening at the restaurant. The place was well-filled, and the interior was modern and hip, unlike the small Ouddorp. For €200 for the evening, it could have been a little bit more.

We were exited about trying this restaurant. We had a reservation for 7pm for a party of 6. After sitting down it took almost 15 minutes just to get a menu or any sort of service. The 1st course was served about 1 hour later. The quality of the food was all over the place. A world class tuna tartar followed by a lukewarm, smoky mediocre, tasting 58 Euro steak. Not sure how to rate this place. For us it was most definitely a 300 Euro loss .

We were a little disappointed with this restaurant. The ambiance and prices make you feel like you're in a fancy place, but that feeling quickly disappears once you get your meals. The dishes were very small and bland, though beautifully presented. The wines themselves were excellent, but we were given very small glasses, even though we paid the price of a full bottle for just one glass. The service seemed like they weren't in the mood that day. I would recommend this for a nice glass of wine with a small snack. Not for a fine dining experience.

We hebben genoten!! Wat een heerlijke avond! Goede smaken, lekkere wijn en zeer attent en lief personeel. Jonge brigade, heel tof! Leuk ook om in in de keuken te kunnen kijken naar een zeer goed geoliede machine. Aanrader!!!

Delicious food. Excellent service. Too bad that side dishes such as bread and vegetables are not included but have to be ordered separately. For this price, that should be included.

Via buren gehoord over deze bistro. Hun enthousiasme kan ik volledig delen. Met zijn vieren bezocht. Gekozen voor 5 gangen Menu. Krab heerlijk daarna zeebaars met zalige smaak. Ravioli lekker met heerlijke saus. Hoogtepunten moesten nog komen. Heerlijke kalfsoesters, fantastische smaak. Ananas met ijs en merengue wederom heerlijk. Wijn flesje sauvignon blanc. Heerlijke avond. Fijn dat er weer zo'n zalig restaurant op Flakkee is.

Dit is een heerlijk restaurant! Het eten is er geweldig ( de tonijn smelt op je tong), het personeel is attent (ballonnetje aan de tafel omdat ik mijn verjaardag kwam vieren) , heel vriendelijke bediening, mooie inrichting, aangename muziek... alles aan dit restaurant is super!

Wederom een driegangen lunchmenu (dit maal ‘slechts’ 35 € all inclusive). Buiten op het zonnige terras plaatsgenomen, een chardonnay uit Portugal en een pinot grigio rosé besteld. Leuke communicatie met de 2 diensters. Vooreerst een tonijn tartaar met wasabi , vervolgens zeebaars en bavette als hoofdgerecht. Beide zeer smaakvol ! Besluiten met een koffie naar keuze met een viertal versnaperingen. De 13.5 van Gault Millau is zeer zeker terecht verdiend. Fine dining. Zeer aan te raden !

We really enjoyed the delicious dishes with matching wines, the good explanation of the wines, the friendly service and hospitality. We don't live nearby, but on our next visit to Ouddorp we will definitely dine at Zus again.

Heel leuke zaak, srylush, superbe dining, originele formule met kleine gerechtjes die zeer mooi gepresenteerd werden. Sommige gerechtjes waren wat minder opvallend dan andere wel. Nog juist geluidbeschermende panelen zodat we elkaar konden verstaan zou h afmaken.

Leuke sfeervolle plek met erg lekker eten. Goede service en bediening. Ik miste wel een broodje of iets dergelijks voor erbij.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, beautiful and tasty dishes. But very expensive. Both 2 dishes of meat and dessert and 2 wines and per person 80 euros. Doesn't seem much but dishes are really small.

Dit restaurant in Ouddorp heeft naast een uitgebreide a la Carte menu ook een speciaal Menu van de Chef, bij dit menu kunt u ook een bijpassend Wijnarrangement kiezen. De gerechten zijn heerlijk van smaak. Het personeel is vriendelijk, heeft kennis van zaken en legt duidelijk uit wat gerecht is. Ook adviseren ze bijpassende wijnen indien u niet het Wijnarrangement heeft. De ambiance is sfeervol .

Afgelopen zaterdagavond een heerlijke avond gehad. Ontzettend genoten van hoogstaande gerechten, een uitgebreide wijnkaart en enthousiaste/vrolijke bediening. Echt een aanrader en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Wauw wat een ervaring... het was super lekker. De smaken waren bij momenten hemels... De bediening was top! Zeer leuke ontdekking...

We came here for dinner on a weekday and made reservations online beforehand. When we entered the restaurant I was amazed by how warm and cosy the place was. Really homey. We were lucky enough to sit nearby the little fireplace, close to the kitchen, where you have the chance to watch through the big window a bit. The service was very welcoming and friendly the whole time. Everything was well explained and there was never a long waiting time. The food was great as well. Everything tasted so delicious and the presentation was so pretty. I ate really slowly as it was so good I didnt want to finish. The tatar and the pork belly were my absolute highlights, but the risotto was also very tasty. We had a great time here. Thanks for the lovely evening!

Had an excellent meal at Zus. You eat some smaller dishes here. 2-3 dishes were sufficient for us. We ate Eel with foie gras, Crab with lime dressing, Sweetbreads with sauce from Pedro Ximenez, Halibut and Stew of Iberico cheek; these dishes were top notch and presented like paintings. The pheasant leg with sauerkraut is dry and therefore not a success. The dessert with 'crank plates' is excellent. The matching wines are delicious. We just doubt whether they are BOB glasses. The service is fine. We are particularly impressed by the lady-in-training. She is less experienced, but does her utmost and pampers us. Sister is not cheap, but that is certainly due to the dishes we chose. Eel, foie gras, halibut, crab and sweetbreads are expensive ingredients. So price-quality is more than sufficient. Finally: the furnishings are very good. Beautiful, warm and cozy.

Eindelijk weer eens horeca zoals het is bedoeld. Hartelijk ontvangst in een warm gezellig restaurant Verfijnde gerechten. En ook al staat zout en peper op tafel je hebt het niet nodig. This is so good. Ambiance, food, service. It all just comes together perfectly. The best restaurant in the whole area. Well worth the money. I would spend my last dime here. Service is exceptional. Everything is to perfection.

Finally a restaurant where you will receive a hospitable welcome. Friendly service, attentive and knowledgeable about wine. Dishes are beautiful to look at and wonderfully well prepared. Dishes are on the small side, but that is easy to solve by taking an extra course. Price-quality ratio is good. We charged €80 per person including drinks. Will definitely come back here.

Zelden vind je nog zo'n zaak, waar je vriendelijk wordt ontvange en je jas wordt aangenomen. Concept van wat kleinere hapjes die als ware kunststukje worden geserveerd. Uitgebreide keuze van wijn, waar je ook nog goed bij wordt geadviseerd. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is zeker in orde.

The food tasted good. The portions meh. For example, an entree with 4 shrimps fried in oil, tasty, but if there is nothing else it comes across as meager. Just 2 pieces of baguette would have made it complete. Price quality just out of proportion and that was a shame.

Mooie locatie, gastvriendelijk personeel. Het eten was prima, niet spannend genoeg veel te duur voor wat je krijgt. Voldoet niet aan de verwachtingen en voor wat je betaald zit je gewoon NIET vol.

Cozy, top service, very good food

Trés bonne expérience culinaire mais ne pas y aller avec des enfants car en 1h45 on a été servis que de seulement 1 plat. Le service est vraiment trop long.....dommage ce dégrade le moment passé dans ce resto.

Wir saßen sehr schön auf der Terrasse. Die Portionen waren wirklich mega klein, dafür fein. Man sollte schon ein Menü bestellen um satt zu werden:-)

Lekker zitten, fijn competent personeel. Bijzondere keuzes op de kaart, hapjes ter grootte van een tussengerecht, goed idee. Prijzen wel over de top vonden wij. Voorgerechten het lekkerst: gamba's en steak tartaar. Maar niet zo moeilijk te verknallen natuurlijk. Lekker hoor! Lekkere wijnen en heel veel mooie keuze. Helaas vonden wij de saltimbocca [18,50!] minder. Drie kleine stukjes taai kalfsvlees aan een stokje, weinig prosciutto crudo en Marsala. Bijgerecht hadden we frietjes en ook 'oerworteltjes' met sausje: ik denk 6 stuks voor 6,50. Huh! Heel lekker wel.... Hele mooie wijnen!

Very good food in a stylish atmosphere with very friendly and unobtrusive service. The wine list speaks for itself. Anyone who has the very good Chateau Musar on the wine list is sophisticated and knows something about wine selection. Thumbs up.

Mijn echtgenote had ontdekt dat het grootste strand van Nederland in Ouddorp lag (18km). Dus gingen we er een dagje uit van maken want ligt maar op 75min rijden van Kalmthout. Ging ze nog op zoek naar een gezellig restaurant en kwam ze uit op Zus! Buiten dat het dus een verrassend gezellig dorpje is, best wel toeristisch en toch niet te druk, hebben we ons daar dus een geweldig adres gevonden om te dineren. Bij ontvangst al direct op ons gemak, heel vriendelijk personeel, leuk terras vooraan. We hadden thuis al besloten dat we het 6-gangen menu gingen nemen. Ikzelf met de aangepaste wijnen, mijn vrouw de zogezegde bob-formule. Om deze review niet te lang te maken.. De gerechten waren superheerlijk en de wijnen waren qua pairing perfect gekozen. Wat te zeggen van de lieve sommelier die wijn kan selecteren waarin kruiding zit dat ook in het gerecht terug komt. Dan ken je je job. Ook dikke pluim aan de chef voor het samengestelde menu. Komen hier zeker terug, maar dan met een overnachting. ;-)

I was disappointed with the lack of accommodation in this restaurant, especially as there were clearly tables available outside. We arrived about an hour before closing time. When we tried other restaurants they were kind enough to explain why they couldn't seat us and even made suggestions for other places to eat. This is the kind of hospitality that every establishment should aspire to, or at least aspire to.

We went there for lunch. Tuna tartare with ponzu was good. Main course fish with dashi beurre blanc was excellent. The prawns dish needed more flavor….the chef could be more brave with garlic…😀

Vanmiddag rondje touren met de oldtimer. Ouddorp aangedaan en erg rustig, buiten de snelle bistro hap gelegenheden per toeval bij Zus aanbeland. Na een mooi terrasplaatsje gebruik gemaakt van het lunchmenu. Mooie bijpassende wijn en heerlijk gegeten.

A restaurant after my own heart. Made a reservation at another restaurant for a family (Keulse pot) who had not recorded our reservation properly. Sent away again without any creativity. Although ZUS was also full, they looked for and found a solution. We were so happy with that and what incredible culinary dishes. Absolutely recommended place to eat, enormous hospitality and conviviality. We would love to come back again!

not dog friendly indoors, and when I asked to sit outdoors with my dog instead, they said they don't do outdoor service at 7pm and asked me to leave. they were polite, but it's a wasted opportunity. I ended up going to the other highly rated restaurant in the village where the staff were VERY welcoming of my dog both inside and outside.

Great food with great service. One of the more fancy places to eat in Ouddorp. The porkbelly and scallops is definitely a recommendation.

Located right next to a parking lot, interesting from the outside. Barriers to the road barrier with a rust look, absolutely tastefully decorated inside. Coffee is very cheap in this place, compared to Domburg. The toilets are kept dark, but there are terry towels on the counter for each guest, which can be placed in a bucket under the sink after use. It was the first time I saw that.

Das moderne und stilvolle Interieur lädt sofort zum Verweilen ein. Das Menü im "Zus" ist eine wahre Gaumenfreude. Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an Gerichten, die sowohl traditionelle als auch moderne Einflüsse vereinen. Die Küche legt großen Wert auf frische und hochwertige Zutaten, was sich in jedem einzelnen Gericht widerspiegelt. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Kreativität und Raffinesse, mit der die Gerichte zubereitet werden. Jeder Bissen war ein Geschmackserlebnis der Extraklasse. Der Service im "Zus" ist ebenfalls hervorragend. Das Personal ist äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich und kompetent. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich willkommen und gut umsorgt. Besonders empfehlenswert ist auch die Weinkarte des Restaurants. Hier findet man eine erlesene Auswahl an Weinen, die perfekt zu den verschiedenen Gerichten harmonieren. Das Personal berät gerne bei der Auswahl und sorgt dafür, dass der Abend zu einem rundum gelungenen kulinarischen Erlebnis wird. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt des "Zus" ist die Lage. Das Restaurant befindet sich inmitten der idyllischen Stadt Ouddorp. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant "Zus" uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Hier erwartet den Gast nicht nur eine exzellente Küche, sondern auch ein erstklassiger Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Egal ob für ein romantisches Abendessen zu zweit oder einen besonderen Anlass mit Freunden und Familie - im "Zus" wird man garantiert einen unvergesslichen Abend erleben.

Ziet er allemaal mooi uit maar sla deze maar over als je vegetarisch bent of een dierenliefhebber. Nauwelijks tot geen keuze.

Heerlijk genoten van diverse soorten eten. Een goede tip om met een voldaan buik de tafel te verlaten is om 3 of een 4 gangen menu te kiezen. De gerechtjes waren erg lekker. Restaurant is gezellig ingericht. Vriendelijke service.
