Delicious food, great burgers, even for children if they can manage it 😉

I ordered fries and kibbeling. The fries (€2.60) were great, lots of fries and delicious. The kibbeling was €8.50. It consisted of eight small, very thin pieces of fish, cooked a bit too long. They were too thin to taste the fish; all you could taste was breading. €8.50 was definitely not worth it. My friend ordered the meal deal with kibbeling. The kibbeling was a joke, and the whole meal was a joke. We won't be going there again. It used to be a really good place, always delicious.

Good snacks at a low price. Most of the snacks, such as the frikandels, burgers, and scampi, were fresh and tasty. The portions were a good size. The salads, however, were rather bland. Drinks were relatively expensive compared to the food. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed with six people. Waiting outside was futile. Overall, though, the food makes it recommendable.

A nice place with a good selection. The atmosphere is actually good, but it's more of a snack bar. You have to go in and order yourself, which is a bit inconvenient if you have a large order. The food was good and the price was reasonable.

Although we only ordered Takeaway we were pleasently suprized by this resteraunt, which even offered a good vegan burger. The burger was defenetly a 8/10, due to a high amount of orders we waited a bit longer but that was worth the food. You do notice that the Restaurant has hotten a bit dated, but the workers are doing their best to make it look as nice as possible. The Environment is quite cozy.

Once again, we tried a nice deal via Social Deal. This time at Rex in Delfzijl. Nice place, looks modern. Friendly staff. The food we had to choose from was fine. As mentioned in other reviews, the portions are quite large. Also good in taste, although I found the prawns a bit on the salty side and the warm ham sandwich was just slices of ham? Tasty, but unexpected; otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. The sandwiches were good and generously filled with combinations you wouldn't normally expect but are still tasty. We will definitely be back.

Good food, especially the fish is definitely a good choice, big plates of fries!! If you are in Delfzijl, it is definitely worth eating there sometime.

They bake really well, but I think they should offer more types of snacks.

Perhaps the best snack bar I have ever been to. If 6 stars were possible, they would have received 7. The service was impeccable. The portions were excellent in relation to quality and price. The crème de la crème of Northern Dutch chip shops. I will definitely be back.

Update: After posting this review, an email was sent to us almost immediately. It explained what went wrong and stated that this is being investigated. We received good assistance, and this is greatly appreciated! We order from Rex regularly and are generally always very satisfied with the quality of the food. That is why this experience was particularly disappointing. On Sunday (Easter Sunday), we placed an order via the website. According to the site, the restaurant was open. The payment was debited immediately, and we received a confirmation by email, as well as updates via the website. After waiting for an hour and a half, we decided to drive to the restaurant ourselves to pick up the order instead of having it delivered. However, upon arrival, we found a closed restaurant, although we are not sure if it was actually closed or if something went wrong with our order.

The food is okay, but the grumpy service from the girl behind the counter today ruined the fact that I'll be getting fries elsewhere.

The fries were almost cold, and the order was incomplete. It cost 52 euros. One of the fries was missing peanut sauce, the hamburger bun was cold, and the frikandel was lukewarm.

I just ate there. The kibbeling was very greasy and stuck together. In my opinion, very subpar.

Then you order a patat oorlog (war fries) and get fries with fish spices and ravigotte sauce. That's weak. Of course, you'll notice it at home first.

The food tasted good, but it took more than an hour to get it after paying and the staff were not very customer friendly.

What a cozy little place! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The egg balls sometimes have a nasty taste

Tonight we went to snack bar Rex, which unfortunately was a disappointing experience for us. We found the staff completely unfriendly; they looked at us but didn't greet us, both upon entering and leaving. The atmosphere in the cafeteria was also lacking. It was otherwise neat and tidy. The staff were all wearing their own clothes, which not only looked unprofessional but also made it unclear who was working there. When we placed our order, it wasn't repeated, and we didn't receive a receipt to check it. It was even more frustrating that the order was incorrect because we had to repeat it several times because the young man apparently didn't understand us. When the order was finally brought to the table, it was unfortunately incorrect. Among other things, one order of fries and a sauce was missing. It was also noticeable that a supervisor or manager was present, eating at the table while simultaneously assigning various tasks to employees. There seemed to be no supervision or guidance. If there had been proper management or control, this would not have had to happen.

A cafeteria with the added bonus of being able to order fish. We ordered a plate of "leukbek" (fried fish) and a plate of "kibbeling" (fried kibbeling). It was delicious and more than enough. You do have to order it yourself at the counter and pick it up when the buzzer starts vibrating.

Excellent cafeteria with fish dishes.

We were very satisfied with our visit to Rex Viscafetaria & Visrestaurant. For two people, we ordered two burgers, a portion of fries, and a cappuccino for only €21.80 – the value for money is truly excellent! The burgers were delicious, freshly prepared, and well-filled. The fries were also crispy. The cappuccino was also delicious. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and you immediately feel at home. A clear recommendation – we'll be happy to come back!

You cannot order it during Pentecost and you cannot take it home to eat it there

Fish was very dark and could have had a bit more seasoning

for 5 euros fries I expected a bit more. They give it in a big bowl but it is well leveled.

The kibbeling are very tasty. When we are back here with our motorhome, we will come back to you to eat Kibbeling.

Great snack bar. The interior could be a bit more attractive if you want to eat there. This is not an issue for takeaway.

Booked unlimited fries and kibbeling via social deal. Fries were delicious, but the kibbeling was too greasy, as if the fish had been frozen in the batter and then fried. Fat came out. As a result, we couldn't even finish our first plate because we both weren't feeling well. Shame. Friendly help, nice business.

I love their fish nuggets what they call Kinibbles, I think. Burger and chicken stripes are good, too.

We were there to satisfy our hunger and were more than full. Food was super tasty and a lot for the price. The snack bar itself smelled a bit old and worn out.

The Rex burger and fries were excellent, the staff was friendly and attentive (and spoke perfect German after noticing that our group didn't know any Dutch). Recommendation! :)

De kibbeling hier was ontzettend lekker, goed gekruid, mooie grote stukken en de patat was ook prima. Mocht je in Delfzijl zijn, dan raad ik deze aan.

De kibbeling die ik at, in een schotel met friet en salade, was heerlijk vers en formidabel gekruid. Een compliment zeker waard!

Verrukkelijks snacks, zoals snack horen te smaken. Toegewijde eigenaren en personeel. Heerlijke pindasaus en echte fritessaus. De Patat Bali is voor mij echt hun topper!

Heerlijk gebakken visje, de echte goede hamburger, tapbiertje op het terras en aardige medewerkers die ons vriendelijk en kordaat door de coronamaatregelen loodsten. Topplek. Onze terrasburen aten de blijkbaar legendarische lady burger, maakt nieuwsgierig voor de volgende keer
