In a lovely spot, right on the water. Excellent, fast-paced Italian cuisine. Friendly service. Reasonably priced.

Went for dinner unexpectedly, had a beautiful view of the water, enjoyed the food, and had very friendly service...in short, highly recommended!

We had a wonderful meal, with a good glass of wine! Delicious pasta! A very cozy setting on the terrace by the water! Finished off with a delicious dessert and a wonderful limoncello! It couldn't be more perfect! Highly recommended!

Great restaurant!!! I had the Pollo. Delicious chicken dish! Very friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. But above all, the food I had was delicious. My girlfriend's ravioli was also excellent. Order one of those Italian flatbreads as a starter.

This is the fourth time I've eaten there. Excellent service. Delicious, so delicious, everyone was so friendly, the music was relaxing, and the interior was beautiful.

For the location, it's 5 stars. The staff is super attentive and very friendly, but the food isn't really Italian. Pasta from packets, and the pizza looks more like a flammkuchen! It's a shame they represent Italy this way.

Very well cooked, very delicious “branzino alla griglia - grilled sea bass”, served with a green salad and potatoes. All were very delicious.

We had reserved a table and specifically requested one by the water. This was confirmed: no problem, they said. What happens? We arrive and are seated elsewhere. We address the person who greets and assigns tables, and what do we get? A RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL response. So many people ask to sit by the water; we can't please everyone. True enough: it would have been better to be honest upfront. They even said: "If you don't like it, go somewhere else." Unbelievable! What should they have done? Just be honest: "Sorry, there's nothing available by the water at the moment." Or: "Something will become available in half an hour (which it was), you can have a drink in the meantime." That would have been correct. An apology would have made up for a lot. But no – zero respect, zero customer service. To make matters worse, the same rude woman rudely showed up at our table and told us we "had to get the hell out of here within 10 minutes" of the reserved table by the water – even though the table right next to it was actually freed up at the same time. We had to send the rude woman away from our table, otherwise things would have gotten completely out of hand. It was clearly an excuse to avoid admitting her mistake. Completely disrespectful and utterly unprofessional. They'll never see us again. We'll definitely go somewhere else next time. Frankly, many people would have gotten up and left in our place today. ANSWER TO YOUR ANSWER: HIGH LEGS? Sorry, but we're not dogs with legs!!!! That alone shows how unprofessional and rude the reaction is. The table next to the reserved table was completely free at 1:00 PM!! Let me be perfectly clear: this isn't about the specific table by the water, but about the blunt, rude reaction when we brought it up. And especially the statement, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else," is absolutely unacceptable—that's no way to talk to paying customers. And the fact that there was no apology whatsoever confirms the attitude of disinterest and arrogance. And yes, I showed her away from our table—which was perfectly logical considering the WAY she approached us. "We always apologize"? Yes, tarara. The expression "high legs" is not only inappropriate, but downright derogatory. We're not dogs. That choice of words alone says everything about the way you treat customers. Your claim that you "always apologize" is therefore completely refuted. Instead of taking responsibility or demonstrating any self-reflection, your response here once again downplays and defends brutally disrespectful behavior. You've not only lost a customer, but also demonstrated where your priorities lie—and clearly, they're not service, hospitality, or decency. Customer friendliness and respect are not a demand or a favor—they're a basic requirement for every hospitality business.

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, we dined for two. The pizza was perfect, nice and hot, with very crispy dough, and not overly topped or loaded with cheese. The salad and bread were also excellent. The cappuccino afterward was excellent. One point for improvement regarding the service: normally, when you sit down as a guest, you're asked first what you'd like to drink. This time, the young woman insisted on bringing the menu first and reacted rather surly when I tried to order a drink first. It's a shame, because as a guest, I feel forced into the restaurant's mold, and that's not right. From some reviews here, I understand that you might want to make it clear that guests aren't supposed to just order something to drink. Just say so, communicate it clearly, and if necessary, put it on a sign at the entrance.

I expected more. Almost no sauce with the meat and pasta. Paid a lot for dry food. The service was pleasant and quick, though.

Honestly, this Italian restaurant is a disaster. The food is really bad, nothing like what you’d expect from a proper Italian place. The servers are completely clueless, unfriendly, and disorganized. And the worst part was the scam at the end: I wanted to pay the bill — I had cash and my card — and they came up with some ridiculous excuse saying “it’s written on the menu,” when all it actually says on the menu is that there’s just one bill per table. What a joke of a restaurant. Definitely one to avoid.

Na 20 minuten genegeerd te zijn, ben ik maar opgestapt!4 tafels rondom mij ,die later arriveerden,werden bediend !nog nooit meegemaakt en ik die ook in horeca staat kan dit niet begrijpen!

Super delicious food, the lasagna is really great, nice and soft and full of flavor, the sea bass was also very tasty, it also came with a delicious fennel salad, the pizzas were also really great with a super tasty cheese and thin base, we had a delicious meal and a wonderful evening

Nice restaurant located right on the canal. Unfortunately, the pizzas were a bit bland and not particularly large. The prices were a bit inflated.

A visit from Belgium and we ended up in this restaurant, which we hadn't seen before. We both chose pizza (I'm not a huge fan of it), but it was really good. Flavorful, light, and crispy. I chose the pizza with beef carpaccio, arugula, and Parmesan. Highly recommended, fantastic. My husband chose the pizza frutti de mare. He orders it 9 out of 10 times at Italian restaurants, and he thought it was the best he'd ever had. It also has a cozy interior, beautifully situated on the water. Forgot the photos, sorry.

Wat n slechte ervaring. Pizza , zeker niet de naam pizza waardig en de scampis rauw. Verse truffel op mijn tagliatelli, ik ben nog altijd aan het zoeken achter de truffel. De gegrilde kip was gekookt en niet gegrild. Na de vraag om de kok te spreken weigerde hij om ons te woord te staan aan onze tafel. Uiteindelijk is van 1 ons naar de keuken gegaan. De uitleg van de truffel:weet je wel wat de truffel kost. Geen excuses van de kok, de baas maar wel van de ober. NOOIT MEER !!!

Well, what can I say? The meat and rosemary chicken are to die for. A real treat, and what's more, this little Dutch town is incredibly charming. We'll definitely be back.

As a fan of Italian cuisine, this was one of the better Italians we visited recently. Very nice interior with a beautiful view of the water. Friendly and correct service. In short... recommended 👍🏼

The pasta carbonara was very tasty, also the pizza frutti di mare was richly topped and tasteful. For a few euros you have a pampering coffee instead of a regular coffee, that is enjoyment. Beautiful view over the quay / canal of Sluis. Friendly service

Mooie horeca gelegenheid op een prachtige locatie aan het water met vriendelijk personeel. We hadden niet gereserveerd maar er werdt direct een plekje gecreëerd. Heerlijke gegeten goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

3 minutes before time we were sent outside again while the sign said "we are open". Once outside we went back inside to report that we were canceling the reservation.

Recently visited this restaurant, were sitting on the terrace outside when someone came out and announced loudly so that everyone sitting on the terrace heard that they had to eat and that they were not only allowed to come and have a drink, we had not even indicated whether we would eat or not, but our desire was immediately over because of that rude camel who thought he was interesting, some discretion was too much, if you want to be a business with some standing you don't do something like that... unfortunately you find idiots everywhere... no review worthy!!

Direkt im Zentrum von Sluis an einer Gracht gelegen, ist das Restaurant für niederländische Verhältnisse schon ein guter Italiener. Es ist meistens voll und Reservierung empfiehlt sich. Ich mag die flambierten Tagliatelle. Jeder Italiener wird sich an den Kopf packen, aber die Idee ist irgendwie gut.

Great pizza! Beautiful thin base. Crispy and full of flavour. The pizzas are very well topped. Everyone at the table was satisfied. Dessert, delicious ice cream bomb made of chocolate or lemon, highly recommended. Friendly smooth service. Very good.

I went to eat at this restaurant this evening, I took a pizza, with not much on it, even the tomato sauce was saved, there were not even bottles with spicy oil I took some extra bread which charged me a really pitiful €3.75, basically a restaurant to avoid

We had reserved a table for 3 last minute (hour in advance) and luckily this worked out. When we arrived we received a friendly and hospitable welcome and were given a seat on a corner next to the large windows. A beautiful view, probably even more beautiful in summer. We started with an aperitif (white martini). Shortly afterwards our main course arrived, which surprised me a bit, because our glasses were still half full (no, we certainly don't drink slowly). Well, that was no problem for us. You can look at it from both sides, fast and friendly service or fast service because they want you out faster. We opted for the first option. Why do I give the food 4 stars instead of 5? I thought my fried scampi was a bit too salty, but that is a personal opinion. Every taste is different. It's also very cool that they specifically ask whether ice or no ice was wanted for my Baileys. Everything else is in top order and the service walks around with a nice smile. Definitely worth returning to try more of their dishes.

I really liked the dinner! Extremely tasty dishes! Great atmosphere with a beautiful view! The only disappointing thing was the desserts. Tiramisu - had nothing to do with tiramisu, it's just crème fraîche with strawberries..

Pizzas were very mediocre...barely seasoned, no vegetables...and spicy oil was pure olive oil, not spicy or flavorful. Reception was also very poor; the name was written down incorrectly during the reservation and they were reluctant to let us in. Service was good. Previous owner was better. We won't be back, too bad....

Lekker eten. Goede bediening. Fijne locatie. Na het voorgerecht werd gevraagd of het hoofdgerecht onmiddellijk moest komen. Hier werd ook effectief rekening mee gehouden. Wij komen zeker.

We kwamen hier samen met onze 2 kinderen van 6 en 2. Vriendelijke verwelkoming, het restaurant is heel gezellig, en de pizza was heerlijk. Al bij al dus heel goed, tot een serveerster kwam zeggen dat onze kinderen stiller moesten zijn!! Onze kids zijn geen enorm stille kinderen maar ze gedroegen zich gewoon goed, en we zaten daarbij ook nog in de hoek vanachter in het restaurant, dus deze opmerking was er dan ook te veel aan. Jammer. Verdraagzaamheid is een schone deugd ;-)

Wij waren hier op een rustige maandagmiddag. We kozen voor een pizza 4 seizoenen en een napolitana. De pizza was heel lekker, krokante bodem en echt wel smaakvol en voldoende belegd. Gezellig restaurant met een vriendelijke bediening. We komen nog terug.

The food is excellent, the views are unbeatable and the service is very familiar. It is my favorite restaurant in Sluis. They have a great team that knows how to do their job very well.

Prachtig gelegen, terras met zicht op het water. Heel vriendelijk en correct onthaal. De gerechten waren super van smaak en ruimschoots voldoende. Het enige minpunt was dat het eten onvoldoende warm was.

Not a good meal. The staff was also unfriendly. We ordered a truffle pasta with 'truffle sauce' and received a very dry pasta with truffle tapenade. The owner absolutely did not want to think along and laughed at us when we asked for a little cream. Other dishes were fine, but we certainly wouldn't go back here. I wouldn't recommend it.

Wat een leuke ambiance, midden in het centrum. Wij hebben voortreffelijk gegeten. Mooie kaart met heerlijke gerechten, zeer vriendelijke mensen.

Never felt so unwelcome - the rudest manager I have ever met.

It was great! Super lovely conditions, great views and great value for money. The food was really delicious, fresh vegetables and homemade sauces. The salad was also fresh and tasty. We ate Osso Buco and loved it! We'd love to come back :).

Let me give you some advice - if you want to have a rush free meal, don't go here. Manager was rude and obnoxious.

Rentré à 20h avec réservation acceptée. Arrivée à l'heure. Apero servi et 5 minutes plus tard, le plat !! Pas de carte boisson proposée, ni dessert.. nous avons fait le repas avec notre apero et pizza surgelée, escalope caoutchouc, pâtes flambée deg..bref attrape touristes. Hormis le cadre, le reste catastrophique. Sortie du resto à 21h10..pas de dessert proposé bien évidemment Mauvaise expérience

Nice atmosphere and very nice service. Pizza I ordered was delicious. Nice thin base and richly topped. Only downside was that they didn't have sprite/7up. Everything else was in excellent condition, worth repeating when I return to Sluis.

Sehr unfreundliches Personal, wurden ausgelacht weil wir reservieren wollten. Anscheinend sei das Restaurant geschlossen aber alle Türen waren geöffnet und die Terrasse gedeckt

It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted to enjoy our day in peace. Within half an hour we had an aperitif, starter and meal including coffee and dessert. If you ever want to eat something there, just order your drink, wait 15 minutes and then order the appetizer. After you had the starter then the main menu. Otherwise you will be fobbed off within half an hour! Aperitif with main menu doesn't taste like a main menu with wine or anything else. Food was delicious but I didn't go to fast food for my wedding anniversary. I'm very disappointed how you can waste so much money on service. We also complained but the answer was not satisfactory. It was down to the kitchen wanting to make everything quickly. The coffee and dessert were then on the house. She could have earned more with us but yes it was her choice to do it differently....

Spijtig genoeg niet kunnen proeven van het eten ondanks het feit dat ik denk dat het er wel lekker is maar absoluut niet vriendelijk. Terras aan de ingang stond vol met bordjes gereserveerd, we vroegen of er nog plaats was voor 2 personen en een hondje. We mochten op het terras plaats nemen maar er werd direct vermeld dat als het begon te regenen dat we wel in de regen zouden zitten, ofwel sluit je het terras ofwel zorg je ervoor dat je droog kan zitten. Daarna komen er nog mensen toe weliswaar bij een andere kelner en hij zei dat ze ook nog in de overdekte veranda konden zitten zonder dat ze vooraf geresreserveerd hadden maar zij hadden geen hondje bij. Volgend probleem er lagen 2 kussentjes op de 4 zetels en onder de tafel stond er overal water dus ik laat ons hondje in de zetel zonder kussentje zitten waarop de dienster komt zeggen dat ons hondje eruit moet want er moeten kussentjes in de 4 zeteltjes liggen terwijl we maar met 2 waren????? Ons hondje is properder dan vele mensen en/ of personeel terwijl de vloer kletsnat was en de zeteltjes van plastiek, we zijn dus terug vertrokken. Ik heb uitgelegd aan de dienster waarom en ze mompelde achter ons ipv van zich te excuseren. Blijkbaar zijn mensen met hondjes hier niet welkom, vermeld dit dan op jullie website. HIER zien ze ons dus niet meer terug!

A combination of starters taken to share. We received a bowl of baked pizza dough (with rosemary). Blessed! We also had a temperature of 30 degrees. As if we were still in Italy. Good thing.

Working in shifts. We had booked for 5:30 PM, with the second selection starting at 7:30 PM apparently. We only received food after an hour and a half. So 7 p.m., finally dinner. At 7.20 pm we ask for a dessert menu from which we order. It is then delivered very quickly, as well as the invoice that we had not yet requested. At 7.30 pm we were shown outside with their apologies. All this destroys the experience of quality. Too bad, but you won't see us here again.

Excellent Italian restaurant for good value for money.

Food was disappointing. You can't call pizza pizza, where's the dough? Was a thin cracker-like thing, also very dry, no oil was provided. The cannelloni with spinach was very watery, I think it was frozen spinach and also very bland. Quite expensive for what you get.

Pizzas, pastas and delicious food, friendly staff, accepts dogs and young children. The only negative point is that eating at the small round tables on the terrace is not easy. But I will come back to it 😁
