A spectacular spot to enjoy a coffee and relax with a stunning view of the Nieuwe Maas River. The atmosphere is calm and perfect for unwinding, and the girl who served us was incredibly kind and friendly. Definitely a lovely experience!

I had lunch at The River Bar yesterday. The mussels and shrimp were fresh and well-prepared, but I didn't find the food as a whole particularly special, especially considering the price. The atmosphere is clearly carefully crafted with music and ambiance, and it will certainly appeal to a certain group of people, but personally, it didn't really resonate with me. A beautiful spot on the water, but I think it's just not quite my kind of setting. (We ordered the lunch surprise menu for two.)

Everything was top notch. Everyone knows their job. The food was simply excellent! The meat melts in your mouth! I recommend this place and will definitely come back 😋

Food, service and location super good! We are enthusiastic! And will definitely come back. We sat in the quieter part where you can sit low. I prefer to sit low while eating instead of on a high stool. I did have the idea that it was more lively on the other side😅🤗 at the bar and higher tables. We will definitely come back!

The Riverbar is a fresh, modern place with a relaxed atmosphere. Trendily decorated, but not exaggerated, just cozy and accessible. The food is honest and good: no fuss, but tasty, high-quality dishes that have been carefully prepared. The young entrepreneurial duo are on the floor themselves and are clearly involved. They have an eye for their guests, respond immediately to empty plates and ensure that you are never left with an empty glass. It makes you feel seen. We have been there several times now and it has been great every time. Young, energetic and promising. A nice place where you would like to come back.

Great restaurant. A little insider tip for me: a great location right on the water with a beautiful view (definitely even better in summer with the outdoor terrace). The ambiance inside is lovely. It's definitely a good idea to call ahead and reserve a table. There are a few tables that aren't ideal. Luckily, the service there was very attentive and even managed to find a nice table for us. We weren't surprised and were very satisfied overall. However, you should allow yourself some time. The price is absolutely reasonable considering the quality offered.

We had a very good experience at this restaurant. We chose the chefs menu, one of us is a vegetarian. The first 2 rounds did not contain any special vegetarian dish, which was a bit dissapointing. After mentioning this to our waiter, the chef created a very tasty cauliflower steak dish. We were very pleasantly surprised at this level of service. Combined with the (rest of) the good food, and the attentive staff made for a very pleasant evening. We will be back.

Delicious snacks in a nice atmosphere!

Had dinner with 4 people on December 5. I'm not very excited about the map. Shared dinner for a majority and 4 main courses, 1 of which is vegetarian. The quality-price ratio leaves much to be desired. The cold dishes from the shared dinner menu all seem to come from the refrigerator and are prepared well in advance. The Duck Pasties seem to come straight from Makro or AH Exelent, just like the shrimp cocktail, a bowl with 8 large shrimps and a lettuce leaf and some cocktail sauce. We lost a total of 340 euros. including 2 bottles of white wine for 33 euros each and the dishes from the shared dinner. I didn't feel like I had eaten but rather like I had snacked.

The burrata was great as well as the crab. However, the crab came with a piece of toast that was so salty that you couldn't taste anything else, which is a shame. I also really miss a main course or warm starter with a vegetable in the leading role.

Ate for the first time at River Bar on recommendation: atmospheric setting, delicious food (including foie and cecina). During dinner my friend suddenly felt bad (he has several intolerances, but didn't mention them). The hostess was very understanding of the situation and offered him an antihistamine tablet. After half an hour he still felt unwell, so we unfortunately decided to pay even though we still wanted to order so much. When paying, the hostess insisted that we did not have to pay for the entire bottle of wine. This was not necessary for us, but it was extremely understanding, a sign of hospitality and certainly a reason to come back! Cheers!

I happened to stop by while passing by on my way to take a cruise. wonderful place. Atmosphere, food. Service, even the weather. Everyone was satisfied. The food was delicious and the wine that accompanied it was also satisfactory. It's a great place to stop on your trip to Rotterdam.

Beautiful food, at a price, but I left hungry. The waiter was though very helpful with menu advice, I decided to cancel the second course as the portions were so small.

I thought I would have a bite to eat and a drink here with some friends. Because they didn't have bitterballen, we got a dish with four slices of meat, a bowl of olives and a piece of bread.....this for the sum of more than 45 euros. To drink we had two beers and two soft drinks, so we paid 33 euros for the few snacks The place is nice but these are exorbitant prices so we won't see them here again

The spot is great. Service too. However, 2 things bother me. Ordered the Carte blanche menu today with my wife. It was good again, but very disappointing that it was the same menu as 5 months ago. It's also a shame that they let the seawater drain away from the oysters. Therefore dry.

What a great spot! Great terrace with the most beautiful view in the Netherlands. Delicious food and the crab (the chef's specialty) was really tasty. The prawns, mussels, scallops and filet mignon were very tasty and well prepared. Service was attentive and professional with special mention of Ian: he knows exactly how to make guests feel comfortable. Rotterdam has a new hotspot!

Nice variety of dishes, it's a pity that if the setup is share dining, you put the dishes on the menu in odd numbers. Many tables are couples or 2 couples. The dishes are all very tasty and very varied. Our waitress understood the odd numbers and kept changing them to even numbers. One thing really bothered us and although this is still allowed, many restaurants already have a clear policy on this. Smoking on a restaurant terrace is a thing of the past and guests can often smoke their cigarette on a terrace afterwards, a bit away from the terrace. Now there was a couple sitting next to us who smoked heavily and negatively affected our dining experience. As far as we are concerned, there should be a national rule for this. For now we have not said anything as it is still permitted. Other than that it was a perfect evening. But we still wanted to share this with you. We will definitely come back again

Leuke omgeving. We werden zeer vriendelijk onthaald. De bediening is uitstekend. We hebben gekozen voor het dagmenu van de chef (4 gangen) en werden bij elk gerecht telkens opnieuw aangenaam verrast. Presentatie en smaken waren top. We hebben genoten ! Dit was de kroon om op onze trip van één dag naar Rotterdam. Ook de prijs was een bijzonder leuke aangename verrassing. Bij een nieuw bezoek komen we zeker terug.

Very nice chic ambiance and yet also modern Rotterdam! Especially because you can enjoy your drink and oyster on the “River Maas”! And you will come across something like the Spanish: “Galeon Andalucia” who was a guest in the city!

We don't know what the wine or food is like here, because we walked away. We did receive an unsolicited bottle of water, but otherwise we were ignored. Despite the fact that we asked for attention many times and politely waved to be served. In the end I just left, never done that before in my life, free water, it was nice

Nice spot on the waterfront. Extensive (snacks) menu with tasty fresh dishes. We like to serve a lot of wine. Of course a lot via related. Lots of expensive cars visiting, well, and that is reflected in the price; duration.

location nice, service ok, but food is really substandard. The shrimp were not cleaned properly, the crab was just tasteless and the filet mignon was burnt. And if you said anything about it you got a sneer. And that for 2 people lunch of € 140 without drinks. REALLY DON'T DO THIS; ISN'T WORTH THE MONEY.

Love this place. Great food and service and good wines. I actually like the outdoor terrace the best for the view and atmosphere. The inside bar is also nice, the inside restaurant lacks a bit atmosphere and is a bit stiff.

This is a great new addition to the Westplein area. Perched right on the Mass overlooking one of the best river-views of Rotterdam, River Bar is serving delicious dishes tapas style to be shared amongst the table. Each dish was prepared perfectly, the service was top-tier, and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening of dining out.

Uitstekende ervaring hier met vriendelijk personeel, heerlijke share gerechten en top wijn tegen een acceptabele prijs. Met name de tonijn en zeebaars waren top, de burrata met rode biet mooi voor de vegetariër. De zeebaars werd op de vis zelf geserveerd, kunstwerkje. De chardonnay was uitmuntend, direct een doosje besteld.

We ate some delicious small dishes. The tuna is highly recommended. In addition, the staff is really friendly and attentive. Combine that with one of the best locations in the city and you have a very nice place to have drinks and eat.

me and a colleauge which arrived in Rotterdam on a ship, had a friday night where we thought "hey let's go out and get a beer or two!" 2 bars on parkkade just threw us out the minute we arrived, saying they were closing and they didn't want us there. (extremely un-polite) we gave it a 3rd try and went into River Bar. a waitress immediately greeted us took our coats and led us to sit at the "bar" as she said. I would not call this a bar, as we were sitting amd watching 3-4 chefs make food. Not complaining.. this was actually very nice. The waitresses were extremely friendly and always made sure we had beer, hehe. At one point they had to change the keg of our preferred beer, but this did not go as they had planned, and took a while. cause of this, they offered us 2 local beer each on the house. After this, a guy also working there, brought us the original beers after they fixed the problem, explaining the problem and being very polite talking to us. Even the chefs took an interest in us, talking to us, asking where we're from etc. I've been to Holland before and always had the impression that the people were arrogant. This one visit in this bar changed how i view dutch people in general. Kind and caring people. To all of you working the 8th December 2023. Thank you for giving me an amazing evening PS.. i did not eat as i was there late, but the food looked amazing!!
