I am familiar with all good quality Roti shops in The Hague, the fact is that none of them can compete with this lady here, how tasty, how original in taste, what generous portions, I can cook them like the best, but I leave Surinamese cooking to this one. Say goodbye to Abdoelen and other Roti shops, go to rockID in Scheveningen, more than worth the drive, promise!!

This gentleman is clearly not fond of dogs. Today my 3 month old puppy got kicked in the ass because the gentleman thought she was peeing on his mat. When this turned out not to be the case, he had other things to say, but I will certainly not enter this business again.

Delicious roti! Very close to the circus theater, ideal for a quick tasty meal.

Incredibly tasty, spicy food made and served by friendly staff, a must try hidden gem. This was my first time trying Surinamese cuisine but I'll definitely come back and try more dishes.

Small Surinamese eatery in Scheveningen. Delicious roti, one with chicken, one vegetarian. For a roti, it is quite expensive, but that may be because you can also eat there. But for takeaway it is the right size and the portion is not excessive. But it's tasty and that's what it's all about in the end.

I ordered noodles, nasi and tello and I received a below-average plate per portion for ONLY €15!!!. Besides this the food was full of oil and tasteless. What a scam. Not recommended! For just €11 I buy a portion of noodles or nasi at kang mang and eat it for at least 2 days, very tasty and delicious. The best choice where you can go for Surinamese food.

This Rotti was absolutely delicious! It seems like they don't put any seasoning on the chicken at all.

Take out veggie roti consisted of a small roti, half of which was too hard to eat (maybe it had dried out in the microvawe!) while the other half was edible, but just too small. Sadly, the portion of veggies was also on a small side and somewhat bland and watery. The only thing that was not too small was the price of14.25 euro. All together, an experience not to be repeated!

The food was excellent, spicy and rich. It was traditionally cooked and served. It was a heart-warming pleasant stay at Rockid Food. We had three courses and felt absolutely perfect. The owner and her husband are great guys, we talked a lot and followed their recommendations. It was a perfect dinner!

Ended up here after a matinee in the AFAS theater to avoid the exit line of the parking garage. That was the best choice we could make. So nice help and delicious food. We had a variety of sandwiches, chicken satay, saoto soup and noodles. Everything was equally tasty. The place is attractively decorated and the toilet is clean. If we ever come to Scheveningen again, we won't miss this nice place.

It is such a very nice place, with very nice people and super delicious food. I ordered 1 roti roll and received a pickle and a super tasty mango sambal free of charge. The music was fun, the atmosphere, everything was just great!

Die extreme Behandlung asiatischer Gesichter steht in scharfem Kontrast zu den positiven Bewertungen von Europäern. Gebratener Reis ist in Asien nicht lecker, meine Bewertung ist eindeutig, aber salzig. Es war so süß, dass die Kunden sie im Voraus freundlich daran erinnerten, dass sie es nicht im Laden trinken durften, wenn sie das Wasser aus dem Hotel zurückbringen wollten, und ich habe noch nie in einem Restaurant in Europa eine so nachdenkliche Erinnerung erhalten.

Mijn man en ik wilden eten bestellen, maar er werd ons verteld dat er al heel veel gerechten uitverkocht waren. We zijn toen weggegaan en de volgende dag teruggekomen. De eigenaresse herkende ons nog wat we heel positief vonden! We hadden nasi kipsaté en vegetarische roti besteld om mee te nemen. Heerlijk gegeten!!!

Very good, my first time having a roti dish. The hostess was adorable and super helpful in explaining what we were looking at and how we should eat. The prices are quite fair in my opinion too. Air conditioning in the summer is a nice bonus...

Best Surinamese food i had so far. Those sauces were so delicious! Such a pity the crocodile and beef options sold out as we were quite late. Would highly recommend!

Amazing Surinamés food with a variety of options. Rockid Food is away from the noisy and busy touristy attractions on the scheveningen beach. The atmosphere and service here is amazing.

Food was great! My only complaint is that the sandwich bread had milk, so I couldn't eat them.

The experience was super nice in general. The lady there was super helpful in making us understand everything from the menu, and she answered all our questions regarding our dietary restrictions. The food was good and quick to come. The only thing was that the bread in the sandwiches had milk in it, which we couldn't eat with the meat, so it was quite challenging to choose. Other than that, lovely service and lovely food.

Sorry, maar deze roti was echt niet al te besy. Je kon duidelijk aan t vlees proeven dat dese niet zo lang en lekker gegaard zijn als bij Jessi in de badhuisstraat. 11-04-23, ik snap de reactie van de eigenaar van Rockid Food over mijn opmerking en vergelijking met een andere Roti zaak. Het ging mij er alleen om, om een meetbaar verschil aan te geven met een soortgelijk restaurant. Ik heb totaal niets te maken met Jessi namelijk.

Best place to get some affordable, delicious food apart from the touristy restaurants at the beach We stumbled across Rockid Food because we were a little disappointed by one of the overpriced restaurants at the beach and wanted to get some solid food for a fair price. We‘ve never tried Surinamese food, but since there are so many Surinamese places, I would recommend to try it! It‘s something special and in my opinion so much better than eating fried fish and chips or a boring burger. We got the Nasi/Bami rice with chicken (kipfilet) and „Roti tempeh, tahoe, kouseband, ei“ which was a special Indian bread (Roti) with beans, potatoes with a masala sauce, tempeh, Tofu and a marinated cooked egg. In addition to that we got cucumbers, pickled onions, some crackers and a delicious spicy dip. Especially the Tempeh surprised me, it was unbelievably delicious! But in total, the whole dish was amazing. The service was also remarkable. In most of the other restaurants we’ve been to in Den Haag and Scheveningen, the waiters weren’t that friendly. The lady explained the dishes to us, gave helpful recommendations and was very nice in general. The only tiny room for improvement would be to get more sauce to the rice and chicken dish. But I’m sure we would have gotten more if we asked for it. I’m sad that we found Rockid on our last night, but we will definitely come back the next time we’re in Scheveningen!

I had veggy saoto soup, bara with thempe, sandwich with thempe and kouseband and spekkoek. there are several nice vegeterian options, food is hot by delivery and good amound of soup and ingredients. ah and ofcourse good hot sauses how it should be.. tastes good also :) I recommend to get surinam food here..

Superlekker Javaans Surinaams eten, daar kom je altijd terug. Ook de roti is het waard te bestellen. GOED ETEN EN LEKKER. Gezellig zaakje trouwens.
