I had the sweet crème brûlée sandwich and I loved it! It was a great balance of sweet, savory, crunchy, and soft. It's a shame there was no air conditioning in the shop; it was scorching hot.

The girl at the counter was unfriendly and very slow; her colleague had told her several times to make my order (one sushi roll), yet she still didn't do it. I ended up waiting 20 minutes and received an apology from her colleague (instead of herself). The sushi roll was also disappointing.

Came all the way from Brabant specifically to try it, very uninterested upon entry, I knew what I wanted to order after max 5 minutes and then she suddenly says that she ACTUALLY doesn't have anything left. A bit strange that you didn't tell me that immediately upon entering and the place was still open for at least another 20 minutes, I find that a shame, expected more. Maybe do your purchasing better! Since we are now reading multiple reviews from people with the same experience.

Me and my friends ordered some food and paid. We then noticed some of us had paid a lot more than was supposed to. We asked to see the bill and there it was the price for the roll higher than it is on the screen. They told us the prices had changed but they still haven’t changed the screen (this is illegal btw). Thing is some of my friends had paid the correct price and others had a higher price? Why??? They never refunded us the difference or gave us an offer to compensate. They threw away our bills before we could take pictures of it to complain via email. They never tried to explain to us what was going on. They just mocked us for complaining about something ILLEGAL.

I walked in here on a Thursday afternoon. It wasn't even busy outside, and inside there were only a few students and 2 ladies who I believe hadn't even ordered yet, which later turned out to be true. We were just standing there waiting without being served, so I politely asked if we were going to be helped. I received a rather rude and uninterested answer to that: “we are busy.” It was a joke, especially considering there were about 6 of them working. It didn't give a welcoming feeling at all, and the service came across as very unfriendly. In the end, I just left.

Just stopped by; the food was tasty, but the staff acted with an attitude, the service wasn't top-notch. What I did find strange was that a footballer came in and was served first, and they immediately started working on his order. There certainly wasn't a pleasant atmosphere, but oh well.

I ordered the first but came last. A woman ordered after me the same thing but got it earlier than me. I do not know why the woman in the kitchen made it for the other guest first. It seems they trade people differently based on background. Without having any explanation, and sorry, it makes me wait for 10 more minutes. The food is not deserving of the money. Do not go to this place.

We liked the sushi. But the service was really bad; staff were rude and unfriendly, didn’t recommend anything and didn’t react when we said “thank you” or whatever. And they also forgot to make one roll for us, that we paid for… but we discovered it afterwards. So… This made our experience there really bad and we definitely won't be returning.

Delicious sushi sandwich, was super fresh and tasty! But especially Nesrine, who helped us, made it extra special. She is really sweet and spontaneous and always includes extra sauce; truly top-notch service 🤍 Definitely recommended!

A great place for quality sushi for years!

We ordered 4 sushi sandwiches. 3 were fine but the 4th was hairy so we lost our appetite 😩 I assume we get a free one next time under the condition that employees should wear a hair cap.

You wouldn't wish this on anyone; the staff aren't motivated, and they wear their hair down, so it's really nice and hygienic. The girls just sit there talking to each other and pay no attention to the customer. The sushi sandwich wasn't fresh, way too much sauce, thrown away after two bites, and then paying €10 for that.

That sushi sandwich is truly overrated. Not worth repeating and also unnecessarily expensive.

We regularly visit Rolling Sushi and always receive such wonderful service from Nisrine. She's incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. Her smile and positive energy make you feel instantly welcome. She takes her time, thinks along with you, and makes the entire visit just that little bit more enjoyable. I hope the management will read this review and discuss this situation with the staff. This evening I was expecting guests and wanted to set the table with products from your restaurant. At 7:50 PM I came in and saw that the display was still full of food. I decided to quickly go to the supermarket to buy some drinks and then return to purchase rolls and other dishes. However, when I came back at 8:10 PM, the staff had already removed all the products from the display and told me that everything had been sold out. This was clearly not true, and it was very unpleasant to hear that. If the restaurant stops selling food at 8:00 PM, this should be clearly stated. The situation really spoiled my mood and my evening plans. I hope this feedback will help improve customer service in the future.

Food was Amazing! I took a Poki Bowl, and the taste was amazing. I took Salmon and Ebbi Fry as my proteins. Also soy sauce and eel sauce for my sauces. Last but not least, the service was very good. Waiting time was less than 20 minutes.

In December, a friend and I ordered a sushi sandwich. Due to a miscommunication, the woman behind the counter ordered three sandwiches instead of two. After paying, I immediately reported this, but instead of understanding, I was met with an irritated, unprofessional attitude. I then, as requested, wrote my information on the receipt so the overpayment could be refunded. To this day, however, no refund has been issued. This is truly terrible service. Not only was the staff unfriendly and completely uncustomer-focused, but even a mistake they made wasn't properly resolved.

We came especially for the Valentine's Day heart sandwich, and they literally lied to our face about it being sold out. The next customer who asks will get it right. We also received them cold, and one was half-burned. Two women were also incredibly disinterested, offering no proper apologies, just a "can't we do anything about it?" We won't be back. Update: offered the sandwich but no apology. It can always happen that the food isn't good. Bad service isn't! We received a nonchalant response in the store without an apology, and the same here. Thanks for the offer, but I'll pass.

What I find really unfortunate is that the women prepare the food with their hair down. It's incredibly unhygienic, and they don't wear gloves either, but I can easily overlook that. Hair tied up is a must! Such a shame.

A small, narrow place where it's hard to wait because it's so crowded. The food there is excellent: the chicken sandwich, wow, that's 10/10, but I didn't like the salmon sandwich at all. I also didn't like the rolls they sell. I asked for two rolls with only cucumber in them for the kids. It turned out to be inedible because of the spiciness. If I recommend this place, I'd definitely recommend trying the chicken sandwich, as it's simply unusual. The staff are friendly, though!

A few months ago, I bought a sushi sandwich for the first time, and it was deliciously fresh and crispy. Yesterday, I bought the salmon and chicken sandwiches, and I had to throw them both away. The chicken wasn't fresh. The sandwich was cold, limp, and simply not fresh.

Normally I'm very satisfied here, but today I was disappointed. The portion was suddenly much smaller and not very tasty, and the person behind the counter was also quite unfriendly. It's a shame, because I enjoy coming here.

I had the sushi sandwich here a year ago, back when it was still a hype. It was incredibly delicious back then. They were made fresh, constantly, and in abundance. Now that the hype is over, I thought I'd try again today. Truly disappointing! Not fresh. The sushi sandwich was cold, limp, not crispy, and covered in oil. Inedible. The oil wasn't fresh either! I received my order less than two minutes later, so I was already doubting whether it was fresh... well, it certainly wasn't. Now that the hype is over, I'll never eat it again. The quality has seriously declined. You shouldn't charge 10 euros for a sushi sandwich that isn't fresh!

Don’t recommend to order “Tuni Roll”. It’s not kept well. Not fresh …. I thought it’s a grab and go store but wait for 10 mins.

There could be no legitimate reason to eat here on purpose, I had a katsu sandwich because no way would i trust the sushi, but it’s hard to imagine a less loved katsu: fried in old oil, dry as leather, no detectable katsu sauce and suspicious “slaw”, sorry but juuuust take it off the menu. Service was pleasant.

The sandwich was very good but quite small. The tables and seats were all dirty, and I had to wait 15 minutes even though there was only one person before me.

Got food poisoning after eating the original salmon sandwich. Perhaps the owner can finally take action?

I tried the viral sushi sandwich and honestly was quite disappointed. The food was given to me literally 1 minute after i ordered, which made me question if it was freshly made. The rice was crazy sticky and the amout of salmon was very little, i would say 2 nigiri salmons (thin). General it was very mid.

I ate here last week, the chicken sandwich. After which I got severe nausea and cramps a few hours later, threw up for hours, I could barely walk and ended up in the hospital. We called rolling sushi and got a dry sorry and very unserious told that the supplier had not stored the chicken properly. I am still recovering from my food poisoning. If you want to eat where they don't give a shit about the customer and don't pay attention to hygiene, you should definitely eat here!

Been puking all night, Had severe food poisoning from the originali sushi sandwich, too bad they don't pay attention to hygiene at the beginning of the hype you could still see fresh tuna and salmon now everything has sauce and it looks anything but fresh I was puking heavily the owner only thinks about money never come here again!!!

FOOD POISONING AFTER VISIT TO ROLLING SUSHI! I got a sushi chicken sandwich here and in retrospect that was a huge mistake. Within hours of eating I developed severe symptoms including nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The symptoms strongly indicate food poisoning. I am currently ill in bed. Given the fact that raw fish is used, I am seriously concerned about the food safety of this establishment. I will be filing an official report with the NVWA, in the hope that this will be investigated to prevent further health risks for others. Hygiene and food safety should be top priorities here, but this incident does not give me much confidence. I strongly advise others not to eat here until this is seriously addressed. A disgusting experience that I will not soon forget!

Very disappointing experience at Rolling Sushi on May 29, 2025. I ordered the ebi wi, sandwich sushi tuna and sandwich sushi with crispy chicken, but the chicken was not fresh. Shortly after eating I got serious food poisoning: nausea, vomiting, weak, just really sick. The place itself is small and cramped, everyone was literally crammed against each other, as if you were in a sardine can. No breathing space, no comfortable atmosphere. To make matters worse, there were no napkins available, certainly not handy with children. Instead I got a kind of towel that smelled greasy and dirty, absolutely unhygienic. The staff was also anything but friendly: irritated, short and not at all hospitable. All this together made for an unpleasant experience that I would not wish on anyone. Never again for me!!!

Title: Severe food poisoning after visiting Rolling Sushi. Yesterday I went to Rolling Sushi and ate the sushi sandwich with chicken. Not long after that I started feeling nauseous. In the evening it got much worse: severe stomach pain, vomiting several times and really feeling sick. Eventually I had to go to the hospital immediately. There the doctor told me that I had severe food poisoning. My whole stomach hurt, my throat burned from vomiting, and I felt completely exhausted. The food didn't taste fresh and I couldn't even finish it all. I was with a friend and she had exactly the same complaints, she also became very sick after eating at Rolling Sushi. I am writing this so that others are warned. Sushi should be fresh and safe. What I experienced was downright dangerous and should not happen. Health should always come first. My advice: avoid this place. I hope Rolling Sushi takes this seriously and quickly improves their hygiene and food quality so no one else has to go through this.

Today we ate here with three people. We had the crispy chicken sushi. It was delicious. However, a few hours later our daughter started throwing up and it didn't stop. Not much later we also got nauseous, got stomach cramps and started having diarrhea. We spent the rest of the day on the toilet. So if you don't want to get sick I advise you to avoid Rolling Sushi!

Stupid decision to eat here, this is going to be a bad night…

I gave Rolling Sushi a shot hoping for something fresh and exciting, but unfortunately, it left a lot to be desired. Right off the bat, the sushi tastes like standard takeout, which is fine if that’s your thing, but for anyone who appreciates the real craft of sushi, this place will be a letdown. They do try to get creative with their menu, and I respect the effort to experiment. But most of it feels forced and doesn’t quite land. It’s one thing to think outside the box, it’s another to have the skills to back it up, and this is where Rolling Sushi falls flat. The staff honestly made the experience worse. There’s this strange mix of arrogance and inexperience that just doesn’t sit right. It’s almost ironic. Sushi is a culinary art that takes years to master, and there’s a reason becoming a true sushi chef is so difficult. The folks behind the counter here don’t have that discipline, and it shows. At the end of the day, if you like takeout-style sushi and aren’t too concerned about authenticity, maybe you’ll enjoy it. But if you’re looking for the real deal, the only thing you’ll find here is disappointment. If the staff had a better attitude, I could probably overlook some of the flaws. But hey, it is what it is.

While establishment's sushi sandwich enjoys considerable social media buzz, the reality fails to live up to the hype. The rice, seemingly fried in oil past its prime, lacks any discernible flavor. The numerous half-eaten portions discarded in the surrounding area speak volumes of this culinary disappointment.

A slightly disheveled takeout joint for sushi rolls mostly. Very young employees who do not inspire confidence. Quickly but sloppily made sushi rolls with no character, minimally slung together.... not even sliced, as we discovered back in our hotel room -- how were we supposed to eat them? No extras, not even the usual sliced ginger. We were not offered extra wasabi or soy sauce, and the wasabi was miniscule. We will not return.

We came for the sushi sandwich and it was really delicious. Nice and crispy and well filled. Friendly employees and we were able to sit for a while, it is very small but when we got there it was still quiet. Highly recommended, I would go back for it.

So I thought this was really terrible. Came there ofcourse for the sushi sandwich. When we came in, the girls were very busy doing other things instead of helping customers. I think I had to wait 10 minutes before I was helped, which was strange considering I was the only one in the shop except for 1 woman. Finally helped, had to wait about 5/10 minutes for the sushi sandwich. That's neat. I was quite excited to try it because I already had it at Mr Sushi and I really liked it there. But really what a disappointment this was. The only positive was that the fish was fresh. The rest was dry, the rice almost fried too long, it tasted burnt. No, sorry, but this was really nothing. At one point more people came in even though it is a really small space. Not suitable for people who quickly become overstimulated. Long story short: no, that was 3x nothing and not worth the money.

Got such a popular crispy sandwich today. Very thin piece of fishy tasting salmon between 2 pieces that were much too oily and fried slices of rice, and that for €10 each.. Staff rude, upon entering we were not greeted and it seemed as if we were not registered, when we finally asked if we could order we were helped with a grumpy face. Too bad for the owner.

I honestly don't understand the hype! What a disgusting sandwich. Very hard baked and so dark in color. Made it on Tuesday and really regret it. I could just tap it on the table as hard as it was. Really hopeless! Got it today from Tanaka in Hoofddorp and judge the difference for yourself. It was so tasty that I was so disappointed that I only got 1. Much larger in size. So don't go to Rollingsushi like a flock of sheep. You get sushi stone instead of sushi sandwich.

Something like this has never happened to me in a restaurant 🤢🤢🤢 November 29th 7:15 p.m. The very young blonde employee at the checkout didn't pay any attention to us at first even though we were standing at the checkout and wanted to order. Instead, she talked very loudly with her private friends and ate herself at the counter. I had to ask myself if I could place the order. She took the order and put on gloves and then continued eating edamames and licking her fingers. No attention is paid to hygiene. She touched the food with her licked gloves. our order and that of others. When I pointed out that I didn't want food touched with her spit, she put on different gloves, wrapped the order in the packaging and cheekily threw it on the counter in my direction. I have never experienced anything so unhygienic and unfriendly in my entire life. People who value hygiene and respect should not eat here. She also kept passing food over to her friends the whole time and was very loud and very unprofessional. I paid for the meal but didn't eat it. The other employees didn't apologize either.

But recently they have some new products I guess which attract so many people, making the small shop such a busy place during dinner time. I understood and found it good for the shop to do well-business. But the downside of this story is, I had to wait 25 minutes!!!!! For my order!!!! I understood people were getting their food within a couple of minutes as they had some pre-prepared food and mine needs to be freshly prepared. But 25 min waiting time is not acceptable and even without any warning ahead of time! I was in de end one of the few people who were in de shop waiting for their order. And those “few” people just came in the shop a minute ago! If I asked, why it took so long… the poor kitchen was then blamed: the kitchen was occupied for frying rice… … therefore my steamed food couldn’t be prepared… Make sure you have the capacity to prepare a good amount of orders. Otherwise, warn people before hand what they may expect! 25 min waiting is not acceptable! But warn people before hand: if you have not the time, order other food. It is really a shame that we after one whole year weekly visit are having this awful experience. Time to say goodbye.

I was there because of the sushi sandwich. The staff are nice and work hard to clear the crowds. What the rest of the sushi tastes like... no idea. The sushi sandwich is overhyped in my opinion.
