Generally a good restaurant, but communication is poor and it takes ages to get your food

Super fun, authentic Italian restaurant. Great service, and Mario is a great guy. On a busy night, you'll need a little patience for your food, but the wait is worth it! Exceptionally, very above average. Really fun and delicious.

The pizza was really good. But 0.3 liters of beer for €8 is outrageous.

The takeaway pizza was very tasty and a decent size, but unfortunately only topped enough for a small appetite. Therefore, the price-performance ratio isn't right. The salami pizzas (number 4 and number 11) cost a total of €23.50.

Authentic Italian restaurant, exactly what we had hoped for. Tender tournedos, generously sized, tasty pepper sauce, well-baked pizza and excellent dry wine. Had a wonderful evening and we will definitely come back 🫶

The food wasn't bad and the place was cozy too. But the boss who served us wasn't exactly the friendliest and the prices for the drinks are extortionate.. Bottle of water 8 euros and 0.33 bottled beer 6 euros..

The place is nothing special, pizza was not bad, but rather below average. Two things on the downside: We had to wait 1 hour for two pizzas(!) with no explanation given and no apology. And: a small beer from the tap was 8 €! Clearly a rip-off. I'm curious who gave them all these enthusiastic 5* ratings. Must be the owner's friends & family.

Small pizzeria with also a takeaway function. Ate here with a friend, to our shock we were the very first! Fortunately, there was a very nice waiter who gave us personal attention and recommendations, we were not bothered by the until then empty store - great service! The food was delicious, simple just really good! We enjoyed it! Due to the takeaway function in the restaurant, there was some turnover of guests who did not come to eat, but I did not find that disturbing. The restaurant was otherwise full. Oh! And the prices were great too, for about 20-25 euros per person you can have a fully catered evening. If I'm in the area again I will definitely go again. And! We were recommended a red, sweet wine, really delicious! I am not a red wine drinker, but since our visit I have been looking for the wine that was served here, so delicious and recommended by the chef. Help! Does anyone know what this wine is called?? Mario is Mario, a great place for the most delicious pizzas for decades. The calzone is highly recommended. The menu has not changed (a conservative estimate) since the opening, which is a bit of a shame if you like variety, but it still has its charm. Mario's retirement age is approaching, but I hope he doesn't stop for a while! In short, a great restaurant if you go for the classics, but don't expect Sicilian innovations.

Very bad behavior to people from aboard....

Be careful if you order take away from the online menu! Those prices are hopelessly outdated and in reality a lot higher (-/+ 20%). When you point this out, it is flatly denied..........the pizza itself is not much wrong, but is also not special or anything.

Very bad, luckily I got my money back, I have eaten there before and this is not the same, there were several things wrong in the order and they pushed the mistake to us and one of the employees was in a threatening position towards me!!! Very bad atmosphere and service and bad food

Gezellige pizzeria, echt handwerk pizza's die super lekker zijn. Een aanrader.

Wir hatten 2x Nudeln und einmal Schnitzel. Bei der Bestellaufnahme wurde gesagt: Schnitzel plus 4 €. Das waren dann alleine für das Schnitzel 27 € !!! Mein Löffel zu den Nudeln war noch schmutzig; ich habe die Gabel benutzt. Die Nudeln waren lecker, 4/5 Sternen. Das Schnitzel, samt Pommes waren 1/5 Sterne. Das Ambiente entsprach eher einer Kneipe. Wir haben in Holland viel bessere Restaurants gesehen. Wir würden hier nicht mehr einkehren. WICHTIG!!! Wenn man in Deutschland nach Knoblauchbutter und Brot gefragt wird, bekommt man es dazu; insbesondere zu Nudelgerichten. Hier muss man aufpassen! Es kostet ALLES extra!!! Die Knoblauchbutter wurde auf der Rechnung mit 6 € extra aufgeführt.

Beetje een tijdmachine, je mist alleen de mandflessen aan de muur. Verder lekker pizzaatje, tiramisu is echt heel lekker, Espresso niet te zuipen maar verder….. Ik werk in de omgeving en ga hier graag heen. Oja, ze zouden wat Duits kunnen oefenen, als ik ze, in het “Engels” met Duitsers hoor praten ligt daar een verbeterpunt.

Zaak is qua interieur en muziek blijven hangen in 1992. Beetje treurige bedoening. Tafellaken was vies toen we gingen zitten. Slechte messen, goedkope cola. Eigenaar weet niet wat lachen is, maar neemt zijn taak wel serieus. Bakt goede pizzas, wat klein van formaat, maar uiteindelijk wel ok.

Correct. Vu ce qu'on a mangé sur la plage comme pizza, au moins ici ça ressemble à une vraie pizza. Maintenant c'est pas généreux. les pizzas sont petites, peu garnies. Alors si vous avez vraiment envie d'une pizza, allez-y. Mais attendez-vous à avoir faim en sortant ( normalement je mange toujours une demi-pizza je ne fini jamais, là elle y est passé entièrement. En gros elle fait la moitié d'une pizza généreuse). Le serveur passe son temps à demander si on veut reprendre une boisson. J'ai pas aimé l'ambiance, j'ai pas aimé le service qui nous a juste donné envie de fuir et aller manger le dessert sur la plage. C'est cher pour ce que c'est, mais pas sûr qu'il y ait mieux à Hoek!

Wir waren mit 10 Leuten hier und es war alles unglaublich lecker und frisch!!!

Authentieke Italiaanse pizzeria die je tegenwoordig niet meer tegenkomt! In de ouderwetse vergane glorie van het kleine restaurant staan 10(!) tafels. De sfeer is amicaal en zeer gemoedelijk! Op de zondag was het afgeladen vol met vermoedelijk veel Hoekenezen die elkaar allemaal kennen en gezellig met elkander zitten te praten. Het afhalen van de pizza's was ook erg populair en veel mensen hingen aan de bar om te wachten. De pizza's zijn Authentieke echte Italiaanse pizza's met krokante dunne bodem! Heerlijk!! Respect voor de Italiaanse man Mario die in zijn eentje alles bakt, kookt en voorbereid! De kelner is een rustige man die alles goed in de gaten heeft. Dit restaurantje is een verborgen parel in Zuid Holland! Geweldig dat dergelijke restaurantjes overleven! Na een strandwandeling een bezoek waard!!!!

A small Italian restaurant. The best in the area. Mario is the man who will make you the best pizza ever. And has been doing this for over 30 years. Try also a meat or fish dish. It's delicious.

This litzle italian Restaurant is at the end if Hoek van Holland centrum. Parking is available in front of the Restsurant. The service was very warmhearted and friendly. The Pizza was really good, it reminded us on Italy and was „smakelig“ as the dutch would say. A clear recommendation

Alles in allem etwas trist. Preise mE deutlich zu hoch. Essen war ok aber der Preis dazu nicht. Inhaber, denke ich, waren sehr nett. Ich würde nicht noch mal dort essen
