The tastiest pizza I've ever eaten. A wealth of different types and flavors!

I checked out of NHAtlanta, but still had some time before my airport check-in time, so I popped into this restaurant for lunch. Even though I barely speak English, the staff were friendly and had lovely smiles. The food was served quickly, so it didn't affect my plans. It was also conveniently close by to pick up my luggage, which I'd left at NHAtlanta after lunch.

Finally, a pizza knife that was actually sharp—so simple, yet so wonderful. No hassle of tearing or prying, just smooth cutting through the thin, crispy crust. The pizza itself was delicious: fresh ingredients, a well-baked crust, and a light, flavorful tomato sauce. Everything arrived quickly and piping hot. The service was friendly and prompt, the tables were spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere relaxed. The background music was just right. It's the kind of place where every detail is perfect, even the knife.

We relied on the positive reviews. We were looking for a place for lunch, and Sugo was nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by this unique twist on pizza with its own flavors. There was only one person working, but we didn't have to wait long. Highly recommended.

They had a vegan cheese option that actually tasted like regular cheese, which is rare. The texture and flavor were just right, melting beautifully over the pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, with fresh toppings. The staff was friendly and explained the different options calmly. Truly great for everyone, vegan or not.

Poorly filled sandwich for the price

This place is a hidden gem within the center of Rotterdam's hotel district! Right next to NH, this quaint little restaurant serves different types of low calorie pizzas with loads of options, picture below being their salami and margherita specialties :) I recommend, specially if you don't want to strand too far away from your hotel or if you're around the area and hungry for a quick bite! :3

Delicious food and friendly staff

I had a really great experience here. The girl working at the counter (a very friendly Latvian lady) was super polite and respectful. When I ordered my pizza, there was already a slice ready, but she was cutting another one and said she wanted to make it bigger with more chicken because “it has to meet our quality.” That honestly surprised me in the best way — you don’t often see that kind of care and pride in service anymore! The pizza itself was absolutely delicious, and her positive attitude made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place — great food and even better service! 🍕👏

What a find! This pizzeria is right next to NH Atlanta and turned out to be an unexpected pearl in the middle of the city. They serve a wide variety of pizzas, all fresh and full of flavor — great to share if you’re with friends or colleagues. The real surprise? They open early in the morning. Perfect for grabbing a good coffee (so much better than the standard hotel option) before starting the day. The place is spotless, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels easy and relaxed. Whether you’re here for breakfast coffee, a casual lunch, or a cozy pizza dinner, you’ll walk away happy. Definitely recommend!

When we walked in, we were warmly greeted. The restaurant is a bit hidden, but well worth finding. The pizza slices are truly delicious. The crust is very crispy and airy. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back when we're in Rotterdam again. Oh, and they also have a gluten-free crust, which is great.

From reading really good reviews online (and being a pizza lover), I was really excited to try Sugo. But my god, I was so disappointed. Pre made pizza slices sat on a shelf that they just place into an oven to reheat. I ordered three different veggie slices, while my boyfriend ordered 3 meat slices. When we got the pizzas, one of my boyfriends meat ones was on my board which completely put me off. We persevered and tried to eat them, but it was bad. The dough was so dry, the toppings felt old and crispy and they were all just covered with sprinkled parmesan. They did not taste fresh, and the ingredients were cheap with thick heavy dough. From the restaurant and experience we were expecting, we were disappointed and won't be returning or recommending to friends or family. For people who travel to the Netherlands frequently, we won't be back for pizza at Sugo that's for sure. It was empty apart from one other couple and I can see why. Photo for reference is what we left...we only ate as much as we did due to being very hungry and saving ourselves for this experience.

Very tasty pizza, really good. The location is a bit disappointing – it's next to a parking garage, where you regularly hear honking. Not very inviting if you sit outside. But the food makes up for everything. I'll definitely come back.

They had a mid-day rave party and gave away free pizza and drinks! It was super fun, kind and lovely staff. The menu is very clear about allergens, and they have vegan, halal etc options

Friendly staff and delicious pizzas. Prices are very reasonable, even cheap I think. Pizzas are quite comparable to the originals in Italy in terms of taste, definitely recommended.

Very tasty "Roman" pizzas. Sat outside on the terrace and with the sun in the evening you sit there nicely. Only disadvantage of the location (2 locations SUGO in Rotterdam), is the location on a very busy street with a lot of traffic noise. Despite that, good food and friendly staff!

I was there with my family and we have paid for all you can eat option (appetizer + unlimited 2hrs of pizza). Appetizer was served after long time +/- 45mins. It was tasty. Later we could order pizza from menu and waiting time was also long. I didn’t like this pizza at all - totally not my taste, pizza dough was really thick and every single slice was super fat. Girls working there were nice, but it’s not enough for me to come back there

I didn't know where we were going and honestly... when I walked in I had my reservations. But the delicious pizza completely surprised me. Very friendly staff. Also their unique dough and toppings. Something really different... Benches were a bit uncomfortable.

Worst pizza I've ever eaten! Not only very bland but above all very greasy. I had a truffle salami pizza. Only the taste of fat and cheese that came into the mouth. The truffle or even the taste of truffle was non-existent. No commercial gesture even though I barely touched my pizza

Hello! The place was awesome! They tasted very good for non traditional pizzas. But there was one poor guy baking and serving the pizzas! We waited around 1h for 3 pizzas.

Visited this cozy little Italian spot, and it was such a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making you feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious—everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a nice evening out. Definitely recommend, and we’ll happily return!

I regularly eat here 2 slices plus a glass of red wine. The perfect lunchbreak in my opinion.

Went there on Wednesday October 15th at 12.15. The door was open but nobody was inside and there was no pizza. Strange because on the website it says that they are open "elke dag 11:00 – 21:00".

We ate very tasty plate pizzas, with a very nice concept! Nice varied menu with something for everyone, where you can try everything.

I always see this restaurant around the city and the reviews on Google was always pretty good so went to give it a try. Chill fast casual dining place, you go up and order what you want. Nice thing is you get to see the pizza then they warm it for you. I ordered a slice of Not your Ordinary Margherita which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, crisps of parmesan and basil. I also ordered the Pancetta and Parmesan which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, honey, Italian pork belly, and parmesan. My friend ordered the Chicken and Jalapeno which had tomato sauce, mozzarella, pulled chicken, jalapeno peppers and BBQ sauce. To be honest we both didn’t like the pizzas. The crust was way too hard. The sauce was dried out. The portion did not justify the price point. Overall the taste did not make me want more.

Everything was perfect, except for the surprise 5 EUR “tip” (FOOI) that magically appeared on our bill without a word! Our total was 25 EUR, and somehow 20% got added on top without our consent. When we pointed out the extra charge, the staff simply smiled and said, “Thank you for the tip!” 😊

I ordered two slices of vegetarian pizzas. One with caramelized onions and more and the other with mushrooms. Both of them were delicious, served at the right temperature, were thin crust and crispy. For desserts I ordered 2 Cannoliz, hazelnut and pistachio flavoured and they were sweeter and less crunchy than I'd like but almost good. The service was pleasant and the server's recommendations hit the spot. I will visit them again soon and it was a delicious meal

A small pizzeria under the parking garage. Classic pizza variants and also a few special pizza creations. You can choose different individual pieces (slices) or a whole pizza. The pizza was very good and the tiramisu was just to die for.

Had great pizza and an enjoyable time at SUGO. Very friendly employees who understood our US southern accents. We were greeted immediately and told thanks as we were leaving. Pizza filled us up so we didn't have room for dessert but the tiramisu received praise from other reviewers.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The two gentlemen who were in the kitchen/serving were very friendly and we were helped quickly. The pizzas are DELICIOUS. I really enjoyed it. I had the Japanese pork belly (below) and the other is the not so margarita (above). The restaurant itself is not the most pleasant place to sit, but the food certainly makes up for that. There is a clean toilet available. In my opinion, the restaurant is also accessible for people in wheelchairs

Best pizza that I can have, the personal from there is very nice and very smile, the waitress LIGA is a really nice employ, I hope the owner really appreciate theire employees because I see is young employees. The local is very clean and everything is tide. I will return for sure here, I recommend all to come here and eat🤗🤗🤗.

Ordered from work, delivery was 1.5 hours (!!!!!) late. Food was cold, the fat was dripping off and the dough was soft and seemed partly raw. Dessert was also missing. Had good experiences with Sugo in the past, but never again!

The lasagne and the cannelloni came right out of the freezer. The personal was friendly but not very helpful. The portions were way to small for their price. Didn't ask if the food was good, didn't ask for drinks, .... I wouldn't recommend this (maybe just for the cannelloni and the lasagne, but I don't know the rest of the food...)

I went expecting a nice fresh pizza! I waited for over 45 minutes to be presented with a heated up slice of something that had obviously been made hours ago! It didn’t even look heated up properly! I complained but was told he only put it in the oven 5 minutes ago! What had they been doing for the last 40 minutes was unclear! If you want a fresh pizza Don’t go to SUGO

Delicious pizzas for a good price! Very friendly staff and friendly atmosphere. Also available for collection or home delivery. Nice that you can try different pizzas by ordering a piece the size of about a large smartphone for about €5. This way you can taste 3 pizzas for €15-16 and you will be full!

Very tasty pizza....but six euros each slice in my opinion is a bit expensive!

An AMAZING find, this place was a highlight of a recent visit to Rotterdam. We had (a massive) charcuterie board and sizzling prawns to start followed by two pizzas all prepared fresh and extremely tasty. You could tell the attention to detail that had gone into making them. Unable to eat tomato this was the first “off menu” pizza that I have eaten in a very long time. Will certainly make a point of visiting again if I’m ever back in Rotterdam!

Mi ha ricordato molto la pizza stile romano, molto buona devo dire la verità, anche quella bianca servita con una salsina all'aglio squisita. Qualità degli ingredienti buona e risultato finale che sarebbe ottimo anche per l'Italia. Molto gentili i ragazzi che ci lavorano. Forse unico neo sono i prezzi, per le quantità proposte, sono leggermente altini. Poca anche la scelta per quanto riguarda bibite e alcolici.

Pizza's waren perfect en goed van smaak, goed dat je de grote zelf kunt bepalen. Prijzen zijn boven gemiddelde, maar kwaliteit is goed.

Wij zijn heel fijn geholpen door Cher-Kayley. Één van ons had specifieke voedsel restricties en Cher-Kayley was erg behulpzaam. Zoek je een plek met goede succes service, lekkere pizza’s en niet al te duur? dan moet je naar SUGO!

La pizza es buena. Es la tipica pizza al tacho italiana. Variedad de gustos pero no tienen disponibilidad de todos si vas en la noche. Personal amable. Precios acordes.

We had a bad experience. 1. we did not get what we ordered for one pizza (although they did agree to change it), but then it came back with one of the toppings missing. 2. the prices are high for what you get. 3. two of the ordered pizzas did not come at all and we had to cancel them all together after waiting for a long time thinking that they were just slow making it. 4. no one seemed to be attentive to the pizzas missing or offered compensation. On a positive note: They were quick to put the tables together when we came in. They gave us one drink for free after we suggested it. The pizzas that arrived were good.

Nice place, the pizza isn’t the typical one, but it was really nice and delicious, I liked the concept of choosing the slices you want and they will bake it for you. It’s a place to have quick bite and drinks while you are walking around the city. The caramelized onions is definitely a must try 😋

We found the taste of Italy in Rotterdam! Absolutely delicious Roman style pizza. Crispy dough, high quality ingredients,classic and surprising combinations of flavours. Very nice and friendly staff. (Greetings for nice gentlemen!) They cut pizza by scissors- I love it!❤️ You can here also find original Italian beverages. And after all this delicious experiences it’s time for tiramisu and coffee! Highly recommend. Both in delivery and at place. My next visit goal: Sicilian Cannoli!
