Not delicious, but DELICIOUS! The warm crispy rolls fresh from the oven, the meat is freshly cut for you, the staff is incredibly friendly and here and there some Italian is spoken in the shop. It is as if you imagine yourself in Italy for a moment. I can recommend Coppa di Parma, delicious with truffle, Parma ham and burrata. In addition, there are also delicious small pizzas and desserts.

There is only one word for it: buonissimo. Really delicious sandwiches. Very busy around lunchtime, but worth it!

I come here often but I always forget to write a review, I probably forget because I'm enjoying the tastiest sandwich in Haarlem. It's a shame that an influencer came along and caused sometimes long lines, but I live nearby so I can manage it a bit. The service is great and always friendly. I couldn't do it in such a crowded little place where you can't turn your ass behind the counter. The line is long but the preparation of the sandwiches is remarkably effective. My favorite, the pork belly with arugula, is quickly made, packaged and kindly handed over. Quickly get out of this madhouse and home, to enjoy every bite. See you soon!

I've had their lasagna which is excellent. However their sandwiches are stunning. I had the porchetta especiale and it was perfection. Highly recommend. No surprise the place is packed every day with a line outside the door.

I really loved the sandwich Prosciutto that they made for me! The bread and ham were really fresh so it's worth to have a bite if you are in Haarlem. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch at the cafe together and the staff were so friendly:) This is a very popular local bakery where you can enjoy the sandwiches here, including ham and cheese imported from Italy, and homemade bread! Prices start from €5, which is reasonable, and the portions are plentiful, so this is definitely a recommended restaurant if you're in Harlem. My recommendation is the prosciutto ham, mozzarella, and arugula sandwich! It's so crowded on Saturdays that you can line up, and it's closed on Sundays and Mondays, so it's best to check the business hours and go on weekdays!

Best food spot in Haarlem? The food here is a 20/10 and if you haven't tried the tiramisu you're missing out! Great little shop to grab a bite to eat or just drink an espresso. 🇮🇹✌🏼

This place is a very rare find. A small cute and has a homely hearty vibe, making your experience feel comfortable. With a lot of similar foods out there, I had a benchmark expectation. Shockingly surprised, it had surpassed my expectations. The bread is home made, traditional flavours and there is a lot of love put in when preparing their rolls/sandwiches. When it comes to Italian panini, Romeo’s does not disappoint. I literally experienced the similar scene from the film Ratatouille where the critic took a bite and transported him back to his childhood. I felt I left the Netherlands and transported to Italy for a brief moment after taking the first bite. To top this off, the staff are friendly and beckoning as you enter. I believe it’s a family business and it’s nice to have something authentic in the central area of Harlem. No doubt I will revisit this place again. Highly recommended for a good taste of Italian style Panini.

What a top tent and also in Haarlem. Sorry this review took a while longer. I ate a sandwich once because luckily there was a table available and then had it again to see if they were really that tasty. And yes, the sandwiches are really delicious. Also the tea and coffee. It's not surprising that there are often many people waiting and... it really is worth the wait.

Fantastic sandwiches and great team! I placed a group order and Romeo's team went above and beyond to accommodate my request for vegan options. Although they only have 1 vegan option normally, they created 2 extra options. The sandwiches were incredibly delicious, with fresh ingredients and creative combinations. This is THE place to get your lunch/sandwich. The sandwiches are delicious and so are the mini pizzas.

At the recommendation of my daughter, I had a really delicious fried pork belly sandwich here. The business is run by real Italians and you can taste their love for food here. Really super fresh sandwich and well topped with all kinds of delicious meats, mozzarella, etc. Also delicious pizza and lasagna. Quite busy. They are queuing to order something here, but you can also sit inside.

"5 stars? Really? That must be fake". Let me tell you that those 5 stars are earned. The best sandwiches I've ever had in my life and with every bite I feel like I'm in Italy. My company fell in love with the amazing home made foccacia's and we now order almost every week! I especially want to thank for Chiara for the amazing service after a quick phone call, we really appreciate it!

This was my best warm Italian sandwich as yet. The bread was lightly crisp on top and velvety in the center and again lightly crisp at the bottom. The veggies were fresh and tasty and the mozzarella was the star of the show. Everything came together flawlessly and the sandwich was sublime and with the extra olives I paid 8.5 eur in total. I will be back again and again and again soon. Keep up the good work.

We have been coming here every week for a year, sometimes even more often! Great sandwiches and great people! The only disadvantage is the crowds, but we are certainly willing to pay for that! Our favorite: Verdure Grigliare with burrata as an extra topping. (Vegetarian) Also tasty: pizzas, tiramisu, parmigiana, coppa di parma (actually everything :))

The only reason I fear giving Romeo’s a rave review is that selfishly I wish we could keep it a secret. But, since it’s clearly too late for that - it’s the best place for sandwiches and Italian treats in Haarlem. Food: amazing. Staff: About as lovely and sweet as you can get.

I have now had a sandwich here for the second weekend in a row and all the reviews here are true, in one word fantastic! A sandwich that would get 5 stars even without toppings, but the whole thing makes my mouth water again while writing this. All sandwiches are great, but I personally think the coppa di Parma is unparalleled.

These types of cafes are very normal in Italy, but in the Netherlands you won't get such good quality anywhere. Good pizzas, excellent coffee, fine oil, fresh ingredients, fair prices. Bravo ragazzi!

Nice and simple option for take-away lunch when you're exploring Haarlem on a sunny day. Although we liked the panini, we've tried better options elsewhere. They are served cold and they're not crunchy (although the bread is made fresh) and the sandwich choice is quite simple. We would have liked to see some melanzane more elaborate panini type, for example. Regardless, it's a good price, portions are enough and the ingredients are very generous. We ordered the cotto. To my liking, the cooked ham had too much fat on the sides. Although the cotto panini is quite simple, the sundried tomatoes really gave the panini a twist, more than the tomatoes, it was a spread and it was very tasty. They have some indoor tables but it's very busy, so we recommend ordering take-away. In less than 10 minutes, we got our order to enjoy in a nearby park. The staff are friendly and they come well-wrapped in paper.

Oh my goodness, just wow! I expected this place to be overhyped by reading the perfect reviews, but from the first bite of my prosciutto sandwich to the last, it was pure sandwich perfection. The home made bread was delicious, a nice hint of chewiness without being tough. Together with good quality prosciutto paired with fresh mozzarella, it was simply fantastic. It took a little while for me to order because of how busy it was, but I waited around 10 minutes in total and the staff were all very friendly. If I knew it would be so good, I would have tried a pizzetta too or one of the desserts, but I will certainly be back soon for more. Certainly worthy of the blanket 5 star reviews, highly recommended!

We visited Romeo’s this weekend for the first time. Heard a lot of positive things so we went there with high hopes and they delivered!! We ordered three different sandwiches and the bread was amazing, they fill them royally as well and they were fresh. This is a great gem in Haarlem and hopefully they stay for a long time.

Excellent Italian sandwich shop with wonderful friendly staff. You can also get lasagna and the tastiest homemade tiramisu there. The sandwiches are made in-house every day. The prices are very reasonable considering that everything is fresh from our own kitchen. An asset to Haarlem and an honor that they have established their business here.
