Round&Round Rotterdam in Rotterdam Centrum

I enjoyed my experience with Round&Round. The service is always good, and the cakes are delicious. I've been there a few times now, and I've not had a single bad experience.

My favorite cafè in Rotterdam! I love all the pastries 🍰 and lattes they have! I wish it was open more hours during the day. Lovely and cozy atmosphere!

Taste-wise, all of their desserts are absolutely lovely. Naturally, their signature dish, as also hinted at in the name of the place, is the matcha roll cake. I believe I tried most of them already with the taro roll cake being by far the best 👌🏻 I love that their desserts are not too sweat, not too filling, yet still extremely delicious and light. I recommend first trying out 1 slice in the store and then ordering online an entire roll should you like it since it's more advantageous in terms of money to get the full roll. Should you dine-in, be aware that depending on how packed the place is, your order may take a long time to get to you. The last time I went here, I ordered a matcha latte, which, while it was tasty, it took 20-25 minutes to be prepared. By the time the matcha latte arrived, I had already finished the roll cake. If there is one thing I'd recommend for the store, it is to perhaps get 1 more person behind the counter in such cases. Either way, it's a great place to visit in Rotterdam if you have the chance and are in the mood for matcha and roll cakes!

Best matcha latte in Rotterdam for its big size and flavour. Their cakes are large and not too sweet (a tad pricey). The 'green note' cake is beautifully balanced with a unique flavour combo (I'll come back for this one!) and the strawberry cream cake was a well done classic.

Hands down my favourite cakes for birthdays and other life events. Delicious, not overwhelmingly sweet like a lot of competitors, and always looks pretty. Not cheap, but definitely worth it!

Tiene buen ambiente y los pasteles se ven bien pero bastante caros, casi para todo. Yo sugeriría este lugar para los desayunos, ya que pagar 12-15 euros por un matcha / café / té + pastel es un poco mucho para ir a comer cuando estás en un grupo de más de 2 o es un buen lugar para simplemente tomar matcha o té japonés. Creo que por mi experiencia visitandolo 3 veces, es bueno para 1 temporizador de calle ya que probamos algo nuevo, ir por 2da vez y más no da la misma emoción o vibra para disfrutarlo.

Real authentic Japanese pastries, prepared with care. It does cost a bit more, but the range is each a small work of art in itself. We tried the moshi-moshi and the Macha Yuzu with coffee and Japanese tea. For home we have the Einterland Mile Crepes. Everything tasted delicious. The service was friendly, I definitely recommend tasting something here.

The Green Sunshine mille crepes are delicious. This also applies to the matcha latte with oat milk. Elsewhere, the matcha latte is often sweet. Fortunately not here. It wasn't cheap, but it was enjoyable. Worth repeating. The cat cafe Pebbles Kitty cat is also located in the same street Hoogstraat. It's very cozy there with all those cats.

The cake shop and the more recent Matcha next door, both places are simply Rotterdam gems if not the whole country. Not just matcha but everything else is excellent. Their cakes are so soft and smooth, so delicious and wisely never too sweet which could be dangerous as well, you know what I mean :) The variety of Swiss rolls and how they taste and look are a class apart from other places I have ever been to, and I love the names they come up with, “Woods by the sea” for example, just lovely and tastes fantastic. The tradition carried on over to its sister shop MatchaNextDoor which all are not too sweet (except the tiramisu)

Ordered a Yuzu Matcha cake for my birthday. Wonderfully soft, good quality cake, cake was not too sweet and matcha not too bitter. Perfectly balanced and beautifully made. Not cheap, but you also have a quality product. Staff was nice, atmosphere in the cafe not yet. experienced. If I'm in the area, I'll come back. Thank you!!!

My favorite place of alltime! I have been buying cakes here since they first opened up. Good service and amazing tasting cakes. The cake is fluffy and and the cream is not too sweet, perfect for me! I always nauseous quickly if things are too sweet,but luckily I don’t have that here! Their drinks are all really good tasting too! It doesn’t matter if you eat in or take out, it’s always amazing quality. I buy my cakes here for any occasion!

Drinks are ok Dessert is terrible I can only say that this store serves non-Asian customers. As soon as you taste the taste, you’ll know you’ve stepped into a trap. The cake roll is super dry and the filling is not good either. Thousand layer cake egg skin is too thick and tastes very bad The cream has a strong flavor It’s just a dessert shop that looks better in photos. Will not visit again

A lovely Café special for Japanese style cake and match flavor products 🍵 We ordered iced match and iced match latte, they both taste fine. We like the cake we tried, it’s a combination of matcha and yuzi , it’s not very sweet, fresh taste and interesting texture.

Great place to either study, relax or just enjoy some brunch. The roll cakes are my favorite and the atmosphere is great. A bit pricy tho, but I think it's worth it!

This café is very cute and cozy, making it perfect for a relaxing treat. There’s a wide variety of desserts to choose from. The shortcake and roll cake were light and fluffy, with a perfectly balanced cream that wasn’t too sweet. The cheesecake was creamy and dense, just as it should be, though I found myself wishing for a stronger yuzu flavor to really elevate it. It felt more like a plain cheesecake with just a hint of citrus. The drinks were also delicious, though a tad too sweet for my taste

As a person who has almost zero sweet tooth, I love everything they have. This is my go-to place when I need a unique cake for a special event. They change up their menu seasonally and they are so creative with not only the taste combinations but also with the designs! Their drinks are equally amazing, the interior is cute and the staff is lovely.

Round&Round is getting over the top, service is less then before, too much focus on over consuming. And if u can’t sell a cake a day before, just say it, but don’t let a customer a day later again for nothing! There are more places just like u who will give personal service and make even a cake in a couple of hours😉

Their cake is so fluffy and spongy! Taro tweed is my favorite! It tastes just like taro bubble tea! My baby shower cake came from here and was so delicious too! Very soft and the matcha was perfect, not bitter! Their lemonade is delish too!

I have take away iced matcha latte which taste like drink iced milk with some light green color. For the price of €4,90 excluding €0,10 for the cup (do the customers have to bring their own cups?), it is not worth the price ordering this drink. You may as well drink your own iced cold milk! As for the take away matcha cheese cake, again it’s a disappointing. For a small piece €4,90 and again excluding €0,20 for the take away small box, it is rather expensive! Taste is just ok and not wow wow wow. So price/quality wise, it is not worth to try Round & Round.

Small patisserie in Rotterdam with beautiful cakes and various matcha drinks. The place is always full, and the popular cakes are often sold out fast so you’d want to be there in the early afternoon. The cakes are very smooth, and of just the right amount of sweetness. Customised birthday cakes are also available on demand. The place is also very nicely decorated with light bulbs hanging on wood sticks, which gives a bit of a nature vibe.

Was there for high tea, food was immediately delivered all at once, without tea or anything and no one really bothered us. Completed a ticket for tea and pastries of choice, but this was not collected. After more than an hour, we walked to the counter to ask if we could have tea and the pastries that we had to choose ourselves... poor service and it wasn't that busy. The food was tasty, and so was the tea

I has a big order with two whole cake takeaway and some pieces eating in. The staff were really nice and helpful. I like matcha cheesecake and taro roll. Tastes delicious. All the cake are not really sweet but I would like the matcha latte to be a little more sweet. Nice and quality place. Will come back the next time.

Had the worst experience here and instead of apologizing or giving me something extra with my order they LIED and said that they offered to return my money WHICH THEY NEVER DID. I asked them first to refund my money but they didn’t want to, so suddenly I got someone else’s order. Please don’t lie to safe face.

If you are looking for a nicely decorated birthday cake that looks nice and tasty with right amount of sugar level, it’s the place. In Rotterdam, we find it hard to find cakes that are not made with a broken scale when they measure the amount of sugar. We ordered a birthday cake (strawberry cream size 8) for our daughter’s birthday. All the guests loved it and one is even planning to order one for her kid’s birthday. In terms of service, they are responsive and nice as well.

The rolls were amazing and the matcha as well. Highly recommended. The place is quite small and busy so not the most comfortable but it was nice. Service was good, but you order at the counter so not much interaction.

The mango birthday cake I bought clearly showed that the mango was not fresh. Some parts of it had turned black, like the cheap frozen mango cubes in the supermarket. The mango tasted the same way, very sour and soft but not as soft as a ripe mango. The cream hadn't melted when I ate it, so I think there was something wrong with the mango when cake was made.

I really like the cakes from here, they are soft and not too sweet. I also like their Nama chocolates.

A cute little café which attracts plenty of customers. Expect a long queue and dirty toilet. I would enjoy it more, if it was more relaxing and comfortable.

Absolutely love the Strawberry Shortcake & Hojicha Latte! I’ve bought two whole cakes (Strawberry Shortcake & the Matcha Hojicha cake) and they both turned out very pretty and tasted really good. The combination of mango with matcha and hojicha in the cake is surprisingly good!

Ordered a Yuzu Cream cake for a birthday. Cake looked nice, paid €39 for it. Not the cheapest, but tasty.

Cute place, came for a high tea and it was very nice, you could choose a cake and cake roll per person along side with the other standard food that came in the high tea. The cake rolls were super light and very good. The cakes were also really nice. They had a bunch of different ones depending on your taste. The cafe itself is very cute and a nice atmosphere, although it us completely full once it opens so it is very busy. And the staff was therefore busy a lot and we had to approach them when we wanted new tea and stuff. But they were nice so it was fine anyways.

The matcha cheesecake and earl gray egg rolls are both great. The hot matcha should taste better, while the iced matcha tastes lighter.

it was super delicious, and I personally really loved the hanami mille crepes and the karigane tea, it was such a lovely experience and the people were so nice, but the thing is if you're a vegetarian or you eat halal the pudding isn't recommended. I really enjoyed it though :)

They have cute b-day cakes! I bought the one with vanille cake with strawberry’s. They are not too sweet, which is exactly to my taste.

The food was really tasty. I don't think the atmosphere is ideal for small children. An ideal environment to work there. You can go there during the week to work. No work is allowed on weekends.

Not sure why is so crowded there as it is not very tasteful and also it is so crowded which makes everyone loose the appetite because of waiting.

I always order my birthday cake here and last weekend i went there for my birthday to do a high tea. I deeply enjoy all the cake rolls and other desserts that they offer, but i do think that they should work on their service. I get that it’s busy sometimes, but in the two hours and fifteen minutes that we were there no one came up to our table. I had to sign someone over every time we needed something (which was also hard because they barely noticed) or i even had to walk up to the counter. The least you can do is check on your customers every once in a while to see if they need something else.

I ordered different cakes, but they tasted the same or not at all...

So we had a high tea, which includes 5 rounds of tea in the span of 2+ hrs. We only got two rounds… it was very very busy and chaotic, cakerolls were good but not the best.. kinda sad and wont return here :(

The overall experience was great! It was a cozy place to chat and enjoy some Asian style tea and cute cakes (the cake's super cute, seriously :'D). However, the flavor of every cake that I tasted so far was a bit too subtle for my taste (for example, the seasonal chestnut cake, there was only a subtle hint of chestnut flavor). This place also has free wifi. You can bring your laptop but not in the weekends

The gluten free roll is super good! Definitely recommend. The matcha latte is pretty decent but the quality of the matcha itself is a bit doubtful. Will try the other drinks at some point though!

My favorite Japanese cake and tea shop ❤️. Their matcha vanilla, white latte is really good and not too sweet. The roll cake is very tasty. My favorite was the flower field and ms.grey. Of course the strawberry cake is not to be missed! Cute place to spend your weekend afternoon days.

A good place for matcha cakes but unfortunately the cakes were not so good/fresh when I came on a Wednesday afternoon. Probably I won’t come back any sooner after the current taste.

The establishment's interior was immediately captivating, complemented by the warmth and friendliness of the staff. However, the culinary offerings seemed to fall short of expectations. While the drinks managed to tread the line of mediocrity, the cakes particularly disappointed. The layered cake, in particular, felt akin to sifting through cardboard sheets interspersed with cream, a far cry from the indulgent experience one might expect. It's truly a shame that the culinary experience didn't match the ambiance and warm service. While the staff and interior aesthetics have left a positive impression, the food sadly makes it unlikely for me to return.

All kinds of delicious roll cakes or other cakes. Also possible to order birthday cakes and whole cakes for special occasions. They also have high teas, but only with reservation. Do keep in mind to bring your own tissue to wipe your mouth. Tissues are not provided anymore. Definitely recommend to try out this cozy and sweet place with lots of delicious cakes and flavourable matcha drinks.

I really enjoyed the matcha high tea here. Even though it was not served on the tiered platter, the presentation still looked very beautiful. I just have a couple of feedback points: I had never eaten inside at the restaurant before and the high tea process was not explained to me when i checked in. Since it was a set menu I wasn’t sure if I needed to walk up to the bar or not. When I finally asked, only then was I given the piece of paper to choose cakes and tea. This would have been better if it was explained up front. Second, even though we really enjoyed the sweets, it was too many to consume in 1 sitting. I liked the addition of the egg sandwich, and wished there were more savory options to pair with the sweet matcha dishes. For the tea, I enjoyed the different variation options. However it was a bit disappointing that the tea was served in bags, instead of loose leaf style. I was expecting higher quality tea from a place that features green tea.

I came from Amsterdam to buy matcha red bean roll! It’s meet my expectations! Love the texture of the cake, cream is very rich. One star is deducted because of small portion of red bean. Love interior design of the shop and polka dots take away box ❤️

Expensive but delicious east asian style cakes. Had it a few times for celebrations and never disappoints. Chestnut cream cake is great.

Heel bijzonder cafe. Alleen jammer dat je niet echt kan reserveren. Het zou ook wel fijn zijn als ze met een tijdstip gaat werken want ik zag al veel tafels waar er niks besteld wordt maar toch moet je wachten voor deze mensen voordat je een plek kan nemen.

This is my #1 favorite matcha cafe in the Netherlands. Believe me, you will become one of their loyal customers as well. R&R has a wide variety of options for roll cakes and crepes. The texture of their cake is so moist and delicious. They are pretty tasty and not that sweet compared to other places. We usually go for Matcha Yuzu and Moshi Moshi since these two are their signatures and the matcha is extremely flavorful 🍰. They also put so much effort into their matcha cream, which literally melts in your mouth. You can also have their cakes with tea, matcha latte, or any other drink on their menu. But I highly recommend you try the Hojicha latte. If you want matcha ice cream, then only Matcha Next Door has it. Both of them also have seasonal options for you to choose from. So don’t forget to check them out. 🍵

Preferably come by early during the day, otherwise most of the cake options are out of stock. We had the only option available, which was the beetroots with peach pudding. It is good, the cake is soft. We also tried the matcha taro latte, it's good. Overall the place is nice and cute.

Dit weekend Aanrader smaken zijn zo goed. Ik ben fan van de mille crêpe Twee jaar: geleden smaken zijn heerlijk. Zeker een aanrader! En ze zijn prachtig. Eerste bezoek: Erg genoten van high tea. Mooi en lief zaakje. We hadden summer high tea met heerlijke yuzu hapjes. De jelly was zo lekker. Werd mooi gepresenteerd en uitgelegd.

Saw this place on instagram and wanted to visit to try the cakes. Did not disappoint! Cakes were light and airy. We got the strawberry shortcake, mango tango, millie crepe cake, and rose earl grey cream cake. My favorites were strawberry shortcake and mango tango. I don't remember the name of the drink we ordered.

Ho assaggiato una bevanda nuova molto buona, a base di latte, tè e taro una radice che sa di nocciole.

Gisteren geweest met een vriendin en het is echt voortreffelijk! Cakes waren super zacht en totaal niet zoet. Uiteraard voor wat hoort wat, het is niet super goedkoop, maar je betaalt wel voor de kwaliteit. Drinken erbij besteld en het is echt zoooooo lekker!! Zeker een aanrader om het te proberen!
