The food was delicious. The staff at Rumah Makan Melati go above and beyond to pamper you. You truly feel like a VIP. It's conveniently located next to Amersfoort train station.

Good Indonesian food. We noticed it was prepared with care and not so fatty. Friendly service and comfy tables and chairs.

I was looking for nice food close to the station to have dinner on the train. Great service, and a very nice lady helped me out! Food was delicious and enjoyed it on my way home. Would come back sometime to eat in the restaurant - which looked cozy as well! Recommended :)

We usually look for an Indian restaurant when we come to another city. We have been to many restaurants but Rumah Makan Melati is in our top 3. We were received very friendly and hospitable and the service of the delicious dishes was very good.

Wij hebben hier een geweldige rijsttafel mogen eten. De echte authentieke Aziatische smaken. Dit restaurant is echt een aanrader. De tafels staan wel heel dicht op elkaar gepakt.

Delicious food - I have eaten in the restaurant, and also ordered, and on both occasions everything was excellent! Food tastes like my experience with authentic Indonesian dishes, reasonable prices and portions. Staff is also very nice and knowledgeable about dishes (and possible allergens).

Cuando estamos en los Países Bajos siempre tratamos de conseguir algo de comida indonesia. Este es un restaurante muy amable y bueno que tiene ambiente, buen personal y por supuesto excelente comida! El sate de pollo y el rendang de carne de res que yo tenía eran excepcionales, y muy bien cocinado. Ciertamente, este lugar merece una visita. Aunque no en el casco antiguo, está a la vuelta de la esquina de la estación de tren y bien vale la pena el desvío.

We thought it was a cozy restaurant with very friendly people, if you want to eat with friends, it is also convenient so close to the station, you get out and you are there, the food was delicious and looked nicely served, I would say Go have a look and enjoy your meal.

We are used to eating in Indian restaurants more often, and the taste of all dishes was very good. Still, we thought the price of €33.75 per person was on the high side for what you get at the rice table. We finally discussed this with someone from the service (I think the owner) when the food was served. She indicated that personnel costs have increased, which is of course understandable, but we were still surprised by the price. It seems to us that a price of, for example, €27 should also be possible, which would perhaps ensure that the restaurant is full more often. If the price was a little more friendly, we would definitely choose this again when we are in Amersfoort again. We also thought it was a shame that the staff did not oblige with, for example, a coffee or a piece of bacon biscuit as a token of hospitality. Nevertheless, we had a pleasant evening.

This restaurant is in an easily accessible location near the station. I'm picky about Indonesian food, but everything was really tasty. Rendang, satay, rice table... Yum! And the ladies on staff were super friendly. Even when we accidentally had a few more people than reserved, they thought in terms of solutions. We had two children with us who they were very sweet to. And when they noticed that it was my mother's birthday, they came up with a super sweet surprise and a sing-along for her. Top service and delicious food. This restaurant is highly recommended!

Atmospheric, authentic and very customer-friendly Indonesian restaurant. The food is excellent. The chefs (the silent forces in the kitchen) deserve a big compliment. But that also applies to the other employees.

Yesterday (Tuesday August 20) we wanted to eat here but it was closed. The site says open from 5 p.m. and no note on the door. Communication???

Everything about the evening was great! The friendliness and pleasant atmosphere are fantastic. The food is tasty and affordable. There are many vegetarian options. And it was also easy to do with children. The view of the trains is a nice extra. We live far away but would drive here to eat again!

Wat een fantastische ervaring! heerlijk!! Een explosie van zeer verfijnde smaken geserveerd met een extra touch. De bediening was hartelijk en zeer vriendelijk. We gingen als gezin samen met mijn schoonouders uit eten en Indisch eten is onze lekkerste keuken. Echt Top! we komen zeker terug. Dankjewel lieve familie.

We came across this lovely restaurant by chance after exiting the station at the rear entrance to walk to our hotel which was close by so we decided to try it for dinner. We love Indonesian food and this did not disappoint! The restaurant was smart and comfortable and the staff and particularly the owner were lovely. Very helpful and clearly passionate about the place. We ordered the set menu with beef and chicken and enjoyed around 11 exquisite dishes. Everything beautifully cooked and spiced with great presentation. We also had a delicious bottle is Spanish white wine which went very well with the food. We ended with layer cake and great coffee. This is a lovely restaurant tucked behind the station don’t miss out. It’s well worth going.

A quiet little restaurant, well decorated and comfortable. We shared a variety of dishes and everything was fresh and tasty. The service was very friendly. As a tourist, I appreciated an English menu.

Last week we had dinner at Rumah Makan Melati with 15 people. Friendly welcome and attentive service. We chose the rice table, some vegetarian, others with meat. The flavors were excellent and the portions sufficient. We enjoyed!

Delicious Soto Ayam. And Nasi putih with sate tahu and sate sapi. Service was great. Staff great. And the owner is so sweet. Because we went for a walk we were given bacon biscuits for the road❣️

Super tasty food and friendly and fast service

I was on vacation to Netherlands and was looking to explore different cuisines. I am an Indian, I didn't want to try Indian food but something new which will satisfy my tastebuds. I came across this amazing restaurant in Amersfoort Central. I normally don't give reviews but considering my overwhelming experience, I am here writing a detailed review. 1.Ambience: Such a cozy yet joyful vibe with subtle and elegant decor gives you an amazing feeling of dinning out with friends and family. 2.Hospitality: The Owners are so hospitable and cheerful that I would visit the restaurant next time only to see their smiling faces and witness the service they provide to each customer full of love and warmth. 3.Food: This was my first time trying out Indonesian food. I was bit skeptical initially considering my Indian taste buds but to my surprise the flavors were so delicious and had such Indian flavors with a pinch of sweetness. So highly recommend to Indians as well as non-Indians too. 4.Washroom: My special mention of this category which I would have normally never commented on but considering the small details addressed by owner like keeping high end perfumes with extreme hygiene hence deserves an overall good rating. So, to summarize a must visit restaurant for food, ambience, hygiene and hospitality by special attention given by owners to each customer.

We ate here for the first time tonight. The dishes are authentic and taste delicious! The service is dressed in traditional clothing, which adds something extra to the atmosphere. Moreover, they are very sweet and helpful people. We had to leave in time to pick someone up, so we consulted with one of the ladies in advance to see if this was feasible. It was no problem and we were outside again on time. I'm an average eater and my partner is a big eater. The portions were more than sufficient. All in all highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

Wij gaan hier elk jaar eten met dezelfde mensen, superlekker gegeten, hele goede service en centraal gelegen. Heerlijke rijsttafel, lekkere wijn en n heerlijke affogato als dessert. Absolute aanrader.

Very tasty food, but other than that, very sweet and hospitable people. The high chair was not suitable for our baby. The waitress then took our daughter over both the starter and main course so that we could eat in peace. So sweet! We all had a great evening, and with a bit of luck she paid attention and can now make coffee.

Super lekker Indonesisch eten, we hebben genoten van de (vega) rijsttafel. Wat een pracht aan gerechten krijg je dan op tafel, stuk voor stuk heerlijk op smaak.

Authentiek Indonesisch eten, top restaurant!

Heerlijk gegeten, bediening was heel vriendelijk en attent.

Wij hebben hier heerlijk gegeten! Het eten is vers en lekker. Niets op aan te merken. Echter wel 2 kanttekening. Wij vonden de prijs verhouding met de hoeveelheid eten niet tot zijn recht komen. Wij hebben beide een rijsttafel besteld, dezelfde. Het andere stel ook. Maar we kregen zo weinig. Nu is dat niet heel erg, maar als je ruim 30 euro betaald per persoon, hadden we gehoopt wel wat meer te krijgen. Tweede kanttekening, is dat de kinderstoelen dramatische zijn. Wij waren met een baby van 11 maanden die in een stokke stoel moet zitten zonder bevestigingen. Kortom, een baby of jong kind kan niet in de stoel zitten zonder daar eigenlijk uit te vallen. Doordat er continu oog moet zijn voor het niet vallen van ons kind, eet je toch anders.

Wauw wat was dit heerlijk! Wij hadden de rijsttafel melati besteld. Wat was het een goede keus als je daar voor het eerst bent. Je kunt dan van alles een beetje proberen. Hieruit konden we zeggen dat ook echt alles lekker was. Fijn dat het op een plaat wordt geserveerd zodat het warm blijft. Echt heerlijk. Voor dessert hadden we de pandan spekkoek met ijs en slagroom. Wat was dat lekker zeg. Wij komen zeker terug!

Wat een parel van een restaurant! Het eten hier is echt super enak (lekker). Als je heerlijk authentiek Indonesisch wilt eten moet je absoluut hier naar toe gaan! Je kan lekker gezellig zitten en het personeel is super lief en attend. Terimah kasih banyak voor de service en het eten!

Het eten is heerlijk en het personeel is fantastisch. We hebben 1x in het restaurant gegeten en 1x afgehaald (we komen niet uit Amersfoort!). Heerlijk genoten. Aanrader!

Well this was utterly delightful. I came with my mum and the food was so delicious (it’s not too spicy so if you want extra sambal that is *chefs kiss*) Service was great, the host was so lovely and I really liked that she was in traditional wear. We would definitely recommend and return!
