I ordered a bacon sandwich with katjang sauce, but this is not the katjang sauce I am used to, it tasted like spicy mayonnaise

The food isn't as good as it used to be. The chicken sandwich tasted tough, and the schnitzel was tough. The worst part was that I found an insect in the sauce of my fries with "oorlog" (war sauce)!

Just picked up a delicious double katjang sandwich with 2 kipcorns. I also asked for fries with "oorlogs" (war fries). When I got home, I saw they forgot my fries with "oorlogs"😣🥲

Great fishmonger with a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The snacks—especially the chicken schnitzel sandwich with spicy katjang sauce and the crispy fries—are truly excellent. Portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and fast. Always a great choice for a quick, tasty bite!

I like to go to Ruudje because the food is always delicious. However, good food is not the only thing that counts, the service is at least as important, if not more important. Unfortunately, the service often leaves much to be desired, and last night was the low point. There was an older, grumpy woman with blond hair behind the counter who treated my friend rudely when she wanted to order an extra drink. She shouted at the top of her lungs: "Order that right away! Do you think we like using the pin machine every time?" Everyone was shocked by this, including myself, I actually wanted to order something else, but I didn't dare anymore. Shortly afterwards, this happened again with another customer. The whole place came to a standstill from discomfort. Such an attitude is not only unprofessional, it also costs you customers and turnover. As an employee, you should always remain calm and polite. Too bad that this beautiful place is so overshadowed by bad service. In short, I will go to another tasty snack bar from now on.

The sandwich was very tasty, but the woman with dark hair was very antisocial. I understand that working on a Saturday evening can be very frustrating, I work in the catering industry myself, I know all about it, but nagging customers about how hard it is and how hard you are working is very unprofessional. And when someone thinks that their sandwich has been given away to someone else, since to be honest almost everyone there orders the same thing, you can react normally. In addition, every time I have come to Ruudje the order has gone wrong. Like a frikandel with mayo, without mayo. A fries with pina mayo, then came with onion. And once a double portion of sandwich, I received two portions and then had to pay for two. Every time I drive/walk Ruudje for a long time I smell the old frying fat. They should really replace this more often, at no other snack bar is it as bad as here.

I loved coming to Ruudje in The Hague for years, especially for the iconic "double" with katjang sauce. It was the place I went for a delicious chicken schnitzel sandwich. What really made this place unique was that delicious, rich katjang sauce that no other snack bar could match. Unfortunately, a lot has changed recently. The sandwich has become smaller, the portions of chicken smaller, and the sauce - the absolute highlight - is now a pale imitation of what it once was. The strong taste has completely disappeared and it feels as if a lot has been cut back on quality. This makes it difficult for me, and no doubt for other loyal visitors, to find a reason to come back. What remains positive is the friendly staff. They do their best to provide good service and that certainly deserves appreciation. I really hope that Ruudje brings back the old, authentic katjang sauce. Until then, unfortunately, it is no longer worth it for me. For now I rate it as average: not bad, but certainly not what it once was

Unfortunately, Katjang has deteriorated considerably and looks like mayo, it is so thinned out and the herbs for the chicken are low in salt 🤮

The food is super tasty, but the service and atmosphere are unacceptable. When I arrived I ordered fries and a chicken schnitzel sandwich, but a little later my order was ready, only the lady called me in an angry voice because I had to wait a while. I didn't hear that, I suddenly see a Red Bull can in my bag, I hadn't ordered that, they just want to include random items, the final score didn't even say Mrs. "Enjoy your meal or goodbye." If you don't like your job, find something else.

Placed an order here. Then received the wrong order. After returning it, a big mouth instead of an apology. Food was also cold. Never again for me. When you make a mistake, you should also speak to a customer politely and not respond rudely to a customer without providing any form of solution. Plenty of other snack bars that provide good service and food.

Best Chicken Schnitzel sandwich ever eaten with or without the spicy katjang sauce. Also delicious: pork chop, bacon and their peanut sauce.

Chicken schnitzel is very dry, not much taste and after eating their sandwiches I got severe food poisoning.

Instead of juicy chicken for the third and final time, I guarantee I got burnt chicken. I come back with sentiment, but I won't come back again. The person working there clearly saw what I was getting.. Money money money

The place is small and only one person is working, which can cause long lines, there should be at least two people working. Despite this, the prices and flavors are fantastic. Both the sauces and the food are incredibly delicious. The quality of the dishes really stands out, making it a worthwhile experience despite the wait.

Visited Ruudje today to enjoy their sandwiches! Because I have obviously been coming there for years! Only today my order was skipped and at least 5 guests after me left early with their orders. When I told the lady that she had forgotten me, she responded as if she didn't care. Very unfortunate, I was then given the leftover fries that were ice cold in half a container, see attachment for the photo. You have lost a loyal customer! Good luck with the company!

I ordered food here today, it took almost an hour for 2 sandwiches and when I wanted to pay for it, the ugly lady behind the counter also rudely told me that I asked if I could pay by card. And once the food arrived it was completely cold and not tasty at all, I think 1 star is too much, I will never come back here, kind regards

Very unfriendly ladies. Better do something else. Also very expensive for what you get. I can get an entire menu for that price and be completely full and with great taste. You won't see me there anymore. It has become a famous hotspot, but no longer lives up to expectations. On Paul Krugerlaan you have plenty of choice and better places to eat for a better price.

Arrived at 1:50 am, I was not allowed to order anything, even though it was clearly stated that they would close at 2:00 am. The title of 'most unprofessional employee' goes to that old woman.

Just surprised with what I saw, been a regular customer for years, heard about mouse plague before but never witnessed it, until today! Awful 2 women who work there, apparently they know nothing about hygiene and I'm not even talking about their great communication skills. They could better be called TOKKIES. Lucky

Het is er altijd extreem druk en ze zijn tot begin van de nacht open. Dan doe je iets goed.

Super lekkere kip broodjes met een huisgemaakte sausje. Ze zijn snel en kwaliteit prijs is goed. Enige wat een minpunt kan zijn: als je met de auto bent, dat je niet altijd parkeerplek hebt in de buurt. Dat is wel jammer, het is een hoekje van een drukke kruispunt. Toch is het het waard om een paar rondjes te rijden om die lekkere broodjes te eten!

Prima haring op een vers broodje. Vers gekaakte vis, zoals t hoort! Toppie gasten die twee, die weten hoe het hoort! Ook de kibbelingen zijn geweldig. Een MUST do op vis gebied!

The French fries were good and they portion was bigger than expected. The chicken satay bread wasn’t so tasty, the chicken was pretty dry. Decent price and open till late, if you’re hungry and there’s no other place I’d recommend this one.
