The first time we ordered food from here, it was fantastic. The next few times, it just got worse and worse. The flavors aren't consistent, and the quality is a question of "how's the chef feeling today?" We recently ordered individual chicken pieces, and you actually pay €1.50 each. Then you get 1.5cm chicken pieces, and you still pay €1.50 for that. The pieces should all be the same size. You really can't rip your customers off for this. The noodles were absolutely awful, half-raw and old. You can just taste it. I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Hey new customer. I got some spicy nasi chicken fillet on Saturday. And it was delicious. Today I was craving roti. It suddenly occurred to me. I'm going there again. Very dry roti roll, little to no gravy. Normally, you get pickles and sambal with it, but here you pay 10.50 for 2x pickles and 2x sambal (which you normally get as is). Fast delivery.

I placed a small order an hour before closing time, and the expected delivery time, according to home delivery, was 58 minutes. So I waited, and after an hour, I tried calling them more than five times, but it turned out the restaurant was closed at 1:00 AM. Yet, money was taken from my account, even though they were clearly open. This is simply a scam involving my order... I warn everyone who orders from them to be careful.

I ate delicious nasi. It was 15.50 and cheaper price on menu but portion was big. Be careful with the yellow spice Sauce 😅

I've been a regular customer for a few years now, but lately, orders have often gone wrong. And again today. Cold pie, chicken breast instead of chicken, cold baked beans, and melted ice cream that's useless. I called the company and told them things have been going wrong lately. He promised I'll get the baked beans and chicken next time as compensation. The employee was friendly; I hope he keeps his word.

I order several times a week, and the food is excellent. Many others also order because I recommend them. They're just a bit stingy; I never get anything extra or free, and the portions are quite small.

I ordered at 6:12 PM, it's now 8:15 PM, and it still hasn't arrived. I live around the corner and thought I'd quickly order. So I waited over two hours... the delivery driver was stuck, and he was supposed to be there in 3 or 4 minutes. So that was 15 minutes ago. I can't say anything good about it.

The food was very mediocre. The delivery driver gave me my order in a bag with the sauce dripping from the container and a separate bag with one can of drink that was supposed to contain two. I called the store and they said it would be delivered right away. After an hour, I called back because the drink still hadn't arrived. The response I got was: the delivery driver said they had delivered the can. After explaining that I wouldn't call for a can of drink if I'd received it correctly, I got the pancake delivery driver himself on the phone. He didn't know we'd ordered two drinks, so I apologized. I thought, "Okay, we're on the right track." Nothing could be further from the truth. Immediately after, the phone was slammed down on the counter, and no one answered the phone. What incredibly poor service. And then to realize I live three blocks away... First and last time!

I'm not one to immediately leave a bad review, but it's astonishing how poorly I've been treated there for the third time. The service is lacking. Definitely not welcoming people. The food is pretty good. But you don't have to wake me up for that.

I placed an order through Thuisbezorgd. I was politely called to say it would take a bit longer. I picked up two saoto. Delicious!!

It is really too sad for words what you get served for €16 a roti chicken that I really wanted has become a real disappointment. Also mister "manager" literally had a shit and gave me these pieces of burnt chicken. This is the first and last time you should be ashamed that you put this culinary Surinamese dish on your menu, put roti burnt chicken on it instead of roti chicken.

During my stay in The Hague I was craving for Surinamese cuisine and came across Saramacca Food. Rich in delicious dishes and chose the Hong Kong nasi + cod roti roll that was freshly made. I have to say that the food was delicious, but it was made even more valuable by the friendly service I received there. I was able to enjoy it the 2nd day because the portion was large! Definitely worth repeating if you ask me. :)

I am very pleased with the nasi dishes. Both in combination with chicken and vegetarian with vegetables. In both cases you can count on a delicious meal.

Have it delivered and collected here. Delivery takes too long. Pickup also takes just as long. It is very tasty. The nasi chicken, noodles, bojo, sambal, sauto, all delicious. Because it takes so long, you are more likely to move to another restaurant or be very patient. Definitely worth it.

We ordered roti last week, and it was delicious! So, today we're ordering more nasi with chicken... A generous portion, everything was super fresh and flavorful. The long beans/vegetables were also nice and crispy and fresh, instead of the overcooked vegetables you often get at Asian supermarkets. Highly recommended, we'll definitely order again.

I cannot agree at all with what I read here and what other people have experienced. I have now ordered food from here more than 20 times. It usually arrives quickly, even though I don't live far away from the business. Only once have I had to wait a little longer and that can happen. Furthermore, the food is always and always good. My personal favorites are the chicken curry sandwich and the nasi satay, but the roti is also really great. Nothing but praise!

3rd time we have to wait for more than 2 hours

Saw the super bad reviews about delivery but thought I'd give them a chance. I placed my order today at 3 PM via Uber to eat tonight between 5:45 PM and 6:15 PM. In the hope that the food will be delivered on time. It's now 7pm and we still haven't received our food because it's busy!! The delivery person has already been on his way for half an hour according to the app. In this case, do not order via Uber, the employee indicated that they will not quickly address this, especially if the delivery address is in Scheveningen or Voorburg. She also had a story about couriers (whom they employ themselves) but she could not indicate what time they would arrive to us, but they were on their way. What bad service. I think just call and ask where your employee is. Now fifteen minutes after my conversation. Calls my son again. Inquiries can now be made. And yes, the delivery person is still on his way and is almost there. pffffffffff. In the meantime, we received our food at 7:30 PM. I must honestly say that the food was delicious. The Bami was probably at the bottom and was a bit cold, but the nasi was still warm. Conclusion the food was tasty. But if you live a little further away from the restaurant, there is a good chance that your food will arrive 1.5 hours or even later. I suspect that to save costs they give each courier a mountain of orders. Well, if you are last, you are out of luck with your delicious meal in Voorburg.

Waited over 2 hours for my food. The nasi had a very special aftertaste. The portions are very small. Furthermore, the chicken is very salty, greasy and burnt. Overall, I don't think it's worth ordering from this tent in the future. Unfortunately a disappointment.

I was allowed in outside opening hours (I had made a mistake in picking up at closing time and then only delivering afterwards) and was helped. The food was good and tasty!! Called today and received delicious, fresh noodles/chicken/heart sambal. For those who think they can do this "better"!?, what are you looking for outside the home😏?

I had to wait 2 hours for my food. The food is certainly not great. Bojo comes out of the freezer and is warmed up. Never again! Waste of my money.

Terrible customer service at this restaurant. I placed an order 2 hours ago, because it had not been delivered after an hour, I called the restaurant. Then I was told that a fire had broken out where their delivery person was delivering and that was why it was taking so long. I was assured by phone that my food would be delivered at 2:30 PM. Well, I just contacted the restaurant again by phone and got a lame story thrown at me about the delivery person being stuck at the bogard. If you, as a restaurant, have known this for some time, why not contact the customer by telephone to inform them of this? Then you are told that it is not possible for me to receive my food. And as a customer, do I have to call and ask for information about this? 2 hours later and still no food. This is bad! Powerlessness can happen to anyone, this is just not caring about your customer. Please refund your money ASAP!!

We get roti or chicken curry or ketjap sandwich. Always delicious, and the people are friendly.

After the opening of Saramacca on the Heeswijkplein, we quickly went to see if the roti was okay. Long story short, we are still regular customers!! Food good, staff always friendly, so service is also top notch and there is always nice music on in the shop, so the atmosphere is nice!!

Ordered food today. There was a time of approximately 50 minutes, but unfortunately it only arrived after 1.5 hours. Saoto soup was unfortunately cold and very little flavor. After adding salt and pepper "it went well". Chicken Curry sandwich was tasty.

NEVER ORDER HERE!!! Very bad customer service and they lie a lot too! The delivery person came with half of my order. He also indicated that the order was incorrect. I wanted to keep half, but the delivery person insisted on taking the order back and he would return in 30 minutes with the full order. After 1.5 hours he was still not there and I could not contact the restaurant. Contacted Uber, who called the restaurant. They indicated that I had refused the order and that I could come pick it up myself! Of course I don't agree with that! Complained to Uber, and I will never order from here again!

Food is expensive, the people are very unfriendly if you ask them questions. I advise you not to come here or order. You don't get value for your money. So beware!

Just ordered a saoto soup and a nasi chicken. After waiting an hour and a half it was finally delivered. The saoto soup bowl is really very small! Outrageously small, I just paid €8.30 for it!!! Ridiculous!

I always order from them, out of all the surinamese restaurants, this one has the best taste and best quality. I am extremely happy with this place, my go to orders are: bami kip filet, roti kip filet, kerrie ei. So freaking amazing, i love this place! Highly recommend

This case is scandalous! Order roti chicken fillet and get chicken off the bone. Called and the gentleman says it is chicken thigh. Then a piece of bone in my mouth, I threw it all away. And then the fried bananas were all burnt. Sorry, this is really a waste of money. What a disappointment.

The food, Tjaumin and spring roll, was not tasty for me. They are hard workers in the restaurant. It's possible that a real Hindustani meal would be tasty.

We came into the shop yesterday with 3 ladies, we had a nice chat and ordered food. Bami chicken satay, Nasi chicken satay and 3 fried bananas were prepared super quickly, so we were quite satisfied. And then it happened, very shortly after dinner we got terrible stomach aches and cramps, it was so intense that I couldn't work anymore that evening. It's unbelievable how quickly it made us sick!! I had cramps and gas in my stomach all night long and so did my 2 colleagues, so it is certainly no coincidence! So what I think is that the food is simply frozen for a super long time and then heated up, which makes the vegetables look old and gray. It's just not fresh and dangerous ⚠️ the kitchen needs to be audited for hygiene and quality and dates of frozen food.

Wish I had read the reviews sooner. Order would be delivered at 6:00 PM. This was moved to 1830. By 1900 there was still nothing. (Ordered 1700). Unreachable by phone and Ubereats ultimately had to cancel the order and I also lost my discount voucher.

The food was nicely seasoned. Only the rice tasted unwashed and the meat (lamb) was very tough. Looked like meat that you microwaved 3 times. not to be repeated

We waited over 2.5 hours for our order. Then we got the wrong roti (ketjap instead of curry). Taste was also not what you would expect. The roti sheets were far from fresh. We have ordered here before and we were satisfied, but it is a shame about this experience. Small chance that we will order here again.

Ordered Wed Feb 14 via home delivery. It took 1 hour and 40 minutes for our food to be delivered, while the indication was 30/55 minutes. I found the food too spicy and unfortunately I also experienced severe stomach pain as a result

Food was very bad. I got roti lamb, it's not edible. Meat too spicy and a lot of salt. The green beans were just days old. Tasted like iron because it was probably in it for a very long time. Only the potato was okay. I have yet to try curry egg but I don't even want to try it.

I ordered 3 Hong Kong, Singapore and Saramacca nasi, 2 large containers of chicken ketjap, container of doks, container of liver, container of pickles, 1 roti chicken fillet. Were in the area and didn't know this restaurant. Doks has a very authentic taste and is definitely worth a try! Chicken was also tasty (but quite expensive for a large container). For us, the food was acceptable in terms of spiciness, but I can imagine that others who eat less pepper may have some difficulty with the spices. Roti very neatly packaged and received more than enough chicken, potatoes and long beans. Sour was well flavored and delicious! Everything tasted fresh and not old. Nasi was fine, I've had better ones but this was fine. Just read some other reviews but for us it was all ok. But make your own choice because there is no accounting for taste :) Gr. Radj

Ordered food on Monday January 22. Sandwich not delivered. Called and got a voicemail message to call back. Called several times again. Received an extremely rude person on the phone. He continued to claim that the sandwich had been delivered. I said that I was a regular customer and that I really wouldn't call for a free sandwich. A good restaurant owner would still have delivered it. They have lost me as a regular customer.

I came here when it still had the old name, Surinamibo or something like that. Then lived in the Verwoldestraat. Really delicious food back then! And nice people who sometimes invited me to a party. Remember when they did it together, 2 enthusiastic brothers. I don't know what it is like now, or whether the older brother is still alive, but I have seen that younger brother with the bald head. Anyway, the food was really great! Would like to visit again for the delicious roti.

Ordered food from them. First of all, it took longer than 2 hours for them to get there. Secondly, the food was super hot and my children could not eat it. When I called them about it they were smart. And they told me that they can't do anything about it if my children don't like it. Which wasn't the case. Then I asked for the manager . And then they hung up like this. When I tried to call them back they didn't answer. This was the first time we ordered there. And also the last time. Food was definitely not tasty.

The food was awful, I ordered at 8:30 PM, a very friendly man delivered at 10:50 PM. We called to see where the food was, the second time we tried to call the phone was off. The food was cold and tough. The food was exactly right. 4 sticks of cassava and a tablespoon of cod for no less than 5.50 euros the first time and never again, better eat a sandwich with peanut butter

Food is inedible! Get a chef who can cook and who really prepares fresh food every day. And package the food neatly. Hygiene is also hard to find!! Do something about it if you want to expand your business🙄

Een erg goed restaurant op het plein, goed voedsel voor een rendabel prijsje. Service was goed! En snel klaar. Het uiterlijk mag wel anders. Het was een klein beetje sfeerloos. Maar zeker niet te heftig! Ze waren voral druk met bezorging! En je moest even aanbellen voor naar binnen, omdat de eigenaren hard aan het werk zijn in de keuken!

Orders food here today. Halal! Taste is really nice and they have a good variety. Food is a bit oily but is yummy. They forgot to deliver drinks with the food but didn't have to call them. 30 minutes later the delivery guy was back with the drinks. I can recommend theses guys.

We moesten er wel lang op wachten en het liep niet allemaal even soepel, maar kregen allebei een gratis drankje mee en eenmaal thuis hebben we echt gesmuld van de lekkere smaken. Het was het wachten waard.

Heerlijk zoals altijd ondanks het lange wachten 1,5 uur op ons eten was het weer goed zoals de voorgaande keren Nu 4/5 keer besteld En je merkt dat het echt vers gemaakt word. 1x gehad dat het iets pittiger was maar zeker niet storend
