Never order takeout here!!! The meat is so old it tastes bitter. The food tastes weird from all sides. Got food poisoning😭 So much regret. You shouldn't expect any friendliness from them either. I don't understand how they haven't gone bankrupt yet.

They make fun of people. Orders can take hours, and if you complain, the owner says, "That's not my problem." The customer service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; it's a miserable place.

Ordered Nasi Hong Kong... I got fried rice with diced chicken breast, 4 prawns, and long beans. This is not Nasi Hong Kong; furthermore, it was tasteless and really made no sense at all. The Soato soup was nothing special either. A shame.

Yesterday I ordered delicious bami with chicken fillet, and a spicy chicken sandwich and a cod sandwich; they were delivered very quickly and the food was absolutely top-notch.

Surinamese takeaway restaurant with seating. Super tasty roti, but also nasi and bami. Very friendly service and really large portions. Plus, really not expensive. Highly recommended!

Stopped for a bite at Saramacca on Nobellaan in Pijnacker. Together with my son, we chose the Surinamese chicken croquette, chicken satay sandwich, tempeh sandwich, and two pieces of chicken from the oven, and thoroughly enjoyed our meal while listening to Surinamese music. Very friendly gentleman too. 👌🏼

I personally wouldn't recommend anyone order from here, because these people really don't know how to treat a guest with a complaint. The food was inedible, and then the man acted like it was my fault, even though I drove all the way to him. It's not about the money for me, but about the principle, but never again. They made that very clear with their amateurish behavior. I'd say you'd better start something else, because you certainly can't cook.

I was hungry, so I bought roti. Every time I go there to buy roti. The meat had too much salt.

Dear people, I would like to inform you that this is the most worthless Surinamese restaurant and that the food is completely off, the food has almost no taste and when you complain about it the owner doesn't even cooperate and besides that they are very stingy with the chicken and such the bun is only filled with vegetables and even the vegetables have no taste. Unfortunately, I won't be ordering or buying food from here again. 1. They shamelessly charged €3.50 for satay sauce. 2. They don't use real lamb; they use mutton. 3. The lamb dish is full of string beans and barely any lamb in it.

I normally never do this, especially at a Surinamese food stall. First of all, you have to wait a long time for the food. The sandwich isn't even fresh bread, it's almost a stone with barely any meat on it. That chicken ketjap is just chicken in oil, man, where is that ketjap?! That sweet and sour cucumber is just cucumber, man, no flavor at all. And best of all, that baked banana (is burnt!!!! That peanut sauce is peanut butter! I ordered food from here yesterday, and it was cold when it arrived. The food wasn't good; there were hard chunks in my nasi and Hong Kong nasi. It was also a waste of money. It didn't taste fresh either. I'll never order from here again. The food tasted sour and bitter. I also ordered baka bana, which was hard and definitely NOT GOOD. It tasted stale.

The food was delivered quickly. But the meat was dry and tough. Not recommended.

I order regularly and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the Saramacca nasi with chicken fillet. Their minced chicken is also very good. Often sold out, but worth the wait.

I really disagree with these reviews. I've had sauto soup here once, and wow, I've been back 20 times since that first time, and I've come all the way from Alphen aan den Rijn. The people who work there are so, so, so friendly, especially that older man, who really respects me; he recognizes my voice when I call. I think it's a really great place, and I also had samosa here, and that was also absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back here for my sauto soup in the coming years, even if I have to drive for miles, haha. If it were really that bad, I wouldn't consider it.

I ordered food from Saramacca Food today and I'm quite dissatisfied. I ordered saoto soup, chicken soup, a chicken curry sandwich, and chicken satay. Well, I can tell you, I didn't like anything. The chicken sandwich was so hard, the chicken satay was too hard, the saoto soup had no flavor, and the chicken soup was just not good. I also called them to ask how long it would take, because online it said 12 minutes, but I'd already been waiting 35 minutes, and everyone was asleep at home. So I also called to ask if he could ring the doorbell, but no, he said, "I'm not going to call the delivery person, I'm going to send a text," even though you were late. And he rang the doorbell really loudly, and I threw the food away. What a waste of money! 👍🏻

I also ordered nasi chicken, which contained a few small pieces of chicken with more than half the bone. For these prices, I expect much better quality.

What an amazing restaurant! At Saramacca, we truly enjoyed the delicious food, full of flavor and prepared with care. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is super friendly and hospitable. The first time we ordered food from here, it was fantastic. The next few times, it just got worse and worse. The flavors aren't consistent, and the quality is a question of "how's the chef feeling today?" We recently ordered individual chicken pieces, and you actually pay €1.50 each. Then you get 1.5cm chicken pieces, and you still pay €1.50 for that. The pieces should all be the same size. You really can't rip your customers off for this. The noodles were absolutely awful, half-raw and old. You can just taste it. I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Hey new customer. I got some spicy nasi chicken fillet on Saturday. And it was delicious. Today I was craving roti. It suddenly occurred to me. I'm going there again. Very dry roti roll, little to no gravy. Normally, you get pickles and sambal with it, but here you pay 10.50 for 2x pickles and 2x sambal (which you normally get as is). Fast delivery.

I placed a small order an hour before closing time, and the expected delivery time, according to home delivery, was 58 minutes. So I waited, and after an hour, I tried calling them more than five times, but it turned out the restaurant was closed at 1:00 AM. Yet, money was taken from my account, even though they were clearly open. This is simply a scam involving my order... I warn everyone who orders from them to be careful.

I've been a regular customer for a few years now, but lately, orders have often gone wrong. And again today. Cold pie, chicken breast instead of chicken, cold baked beans, and melted ice cream that's useless. I called the company and told them things have been going wrong lately. He promised I'll get the baked beans and chicken next time as compensation. The employee was friendly; I hope he keeps his word.

I ordered at 6:12 PM, it's now 8:15 PM, and it still hasn't arrived. I live around the corner and thought I'd quickly order. So I waited over two hours... the delivery driver was stuck, and he was supposed to be there in 3 or 4 minutes. So that was 15 minutes ago. I can't say anything good about it.

The food was very mediocre. The delivery driver gave me my order in a bag with the sauce dripping from the container and a separate bag with one can of drink that was supposed to contain two. I called the store and they said it would be delivered right away. After an hour, I called back because the drink still hadn't arrived. The response I got was: the delivery driver said they had delivered the can. After explaining that I wouldn't call for a can of drink if I'd received it correctly, I got the pancake delivery driver himself on the phone. He didn't know we'd ordered two drinks, so I apologized. I thought, "Okay, we're on the right track." Nothing could be further from the truth. Immediately after, the phone was slammed down on the counter, and no one answered the phone. What incredibly poor service. And then to realize I live three blocks away... First and last time!

It is really too sad for words what you get served for €16 a roti chicken that I really wanted has become a real disappointment. Also mister "manager" literally had a shit and gave me these pieces of burnt chicken. This is the first and last time you should be ashamed that you put this culinary Surinamese dish on your menu, put roti burnt chicken on it instead of roti chicken.

During my stay in The Hague I was craving for Surinamese cuisine and came across Saramacca Food. Rich in delicious dishes and chose the Hong Kong nasi + cod roti roll that was freshly made. I have to say that the food was delicious, but it was made even more valuable by the friendly service I received there. I was able to enjoy it the 2nd day because the portion was large! Definitely worth repeating if you ask me. :)

I am very pleased with the nasi dishes. Both in combination with chicken and vegetarian with vegetables. In both cases you can count on a delicious meal.

Have it delivered and collected here. Delivery takes too long. Pickup also takes just as long. It is very tasty. The nasi chicken, noodles, bojo, sambal, sauto, all delicious. Because it takes so long, you are more likely to move to another restaurant or be very patient. Definitely worth it.

We ordered roti last week, and it was delicious! So, today we're ordering more nasi with chicken... A generous portion, everything was super fresh and flavorful. The long beans/vegetables were also nice and crispy and fresh, instead of the overcooked vegetables you often get at Asian supermarkets. Highly recommended, we'll definitely order again.

I cannot agree at all with what I read here and what other people have experienced. I have now ordered food from here more than 20 times. It usually arrives quickly, even though I don't live far away from the business. Only once have I had to wait a little longer and that can happen. Furthermore, the food is always and always good. My personal favorites are the chicken curry sandwich and the nasi satay, but the roti is also really great. Nothing but praise!

3rd time we have to wait for more than 2 hours

Saw the super bad reviews about delivery but thought I'd give them a chance. I placed my order today at 3 PM via Uber to eat tonight between 5:45 PM and 6:15 PM. In the hope that the food will be delivered on time. It's now 7pm and we still haven't received our food because it's busy!! The delivery person has already been on his way for half an hour according to the app. In this case, do not order via Uber, the employee indicated that they will not quickly address this, especially if the delivery address is in Scheveningen or Voorburg. She also had a story about couriers (whom they employ themselves) but she could not indicate what time they would arrive to us, but they were on their way. What bad service. I think just call and ask where your employee is. Now fifteen minutes after my conversation. Calls my son again. Inquiries can now be made. And yes, the delivery person is still on his way and is almost there. pffffffffff. In the meantime, we received our food at 7:30 PM. I must honestly say that the food was delicious. The Bami was probably at the bottom and was a bit cold, but the nasi was still warm. Conclusion the food was tasty. But if you live a little further away from the restaurant, there is a good chance that your food will arrive 1.5 hours or even later. I suspect that to save costs they give each courier a mountain of orders. Well, if you are last, you are out of luck with your delicious meal in Voorburg.

Waited over 2 hours for my food. The nasi had a very special aftertaste. The portions are very small. Furthermore, the chicken is very salty, greasy and burnt. Overall, I don't think it's worth ordering from this tent in the future. Unfortunately a disappointment.

I was allowed in outside opening hours (I had made a mistake in picking up at closing time and then only delivering afterwards) and was helped. The food was good and tasty!! Called today and received delicious, fresh noodles/chicken/heart sambal. For those who think they can do this "better"!?, what are you looking for outside the home😏?

Terrible customer service at this restaurant. I placed an order 2 hours ago, because it had not been delivered after an hour, I called the restaurant. Then I was told that a fire had broken out where their delivery person was delivering and that was why it was taking so long. I was assured by phone that my food would be delivered at 2:30 PM. Well, I just contacted the restaurant again by phone and got a lame story thrown at me about the delivery person being stuck at the bogard. If you, as a restaurant, have known this for some time, why not contact the customer by telephone to inform them of this? Then you are told that it is not possible for me to receive my food. And as a customer, do I have to call and ask for information about this? 2 hours later and still no food. This is bad! Powerlessness can happen to anyone, this is just not caring about your customer. Please refund your money ASAP!!

NEVER ORDER HERE!!! Very bad customer service and they lie a lot too! The delivery person came with half of my order. He also indicated that the order was incorrect. I wanted to keep half, but the delivery person insisted on taking the order back and he would return in 30 minutes with the full order. After 1.5 hours he was still not there and I could not contact the restaurant. Contacted Uber, who called the restaurant. They indicated that I had refused the order and that I could come pick it up myself! Of course I don't agree with that! Complained to Uber, and I will never order from here again!

I always order from them, out of all the surinamese restaurants, this one has the best taste and best quality. I am extremely happy with this place, my go to orders are: bami kip filet, roti kip filet, kerrie ei. So freaking amazing, i love this place! Highly recommend

This case is scandalous! Order roti chicken fillet and get chicken off the bone. Called and the gentleman says it is chicken thigh. Then a piece of bone in my mouth, I threw it all away. And then the fried bananas were all burnt. Sorry, this is really a waste of money. What a disappointment.

The food, Tjaumin and spring roll, was not tasty for me. They are hard workers in the restaurant. It's possible that a real Hindustani meal would be tasty.

We came into the shop yesterday with 3 ladies, we had a nice chat and ordered food. Bami chicken satay, Nasi chicken satay and 3 fried bananas were prepared super quickly, so we were quite satisfied. And then it happened, very shortly after dinner we got terrible stomach aches and cramps, it was so intense that I couldn't work anymore that evening. It's unbelievable how quickly it made us sick!! I had cramps and gas in my stomach all night long and so did my 2 colleagues, so it is certainly no coincidence! So what I think is that the food is simply frozen for a super long time and then heated up, which makes the vegetables look old and gray. It's just not fresh and dangerous ⚠️ the kitchen needs to be audited for hygiene and quality and dates of frozen food.

Wish I had read the reviews sooner. Order would be delivered at 6:00 PM. This was moved to 1830. By 1900 there was still nothing. (Ordered 1700). Unreachable by phone and Ubereats ultimately had to cancel the order and I also lost my discount voucher.
