Sara's Sweets in Wijk 10 Binnenstad

During a day of shopping we wanted to visit this shop. When we arrived the whole shop was empty. It looked like it was either going to be renovated or closed for good. Too bad!

I found this cute little place via tiktok and traveled 2 hours to try the sweets with my girlfriend who lives in Zwolle. To start with, I think the interior is really cute. I then went for the cookies and raspberry cupcake, the kinderbueno brownie and the carrot cake. The owner is super sweet and delivered the sweets quickly. After all, the cupcakes were dry as if they had been there for a while and there was a lot of buttercream on them. I just took a bite of my brownie but the bueno on it and in it is old and the brownie also tastes old. To be honest, I am quite disappointed but maybe that is because I chose a random weekday. All in all, the taste is okay, just old.

We contacted them by email about a gender reveal. We had an ultrasound the day before we left for vacation. We wanted to bring something to eat with family at the location, which would be almost 1,400 km away (Croatia). After discussing the details, we decided on cupcakes. They looked just as beautiful as when we picked them up at the store. And they were delicious too! We were so happy that this could be arranged so last minute. Thank you again!

Cute interior and friendly service. I opted for the fluffy red velvet pancakes. I didn't recognize the red velvet flavor, and unfortunately, the pancakes weren't fluffy, but very firm, definitely not airy. I expected something different.

I ate pastries from this company at a wedding. Really great quality. They looked beautiful too.

Had lunch with a few friends, it's a super cute place! Everything is pink! The plates are beautifully presented, and the shakes are too. You do need a lot of patience, though, and the place wasn't even full. You're also sitting next to the kitchen, and it gets quite noisy, which isn't very welcoming. The food was otherwise very good, and the drinks were tasty. Don't go there if you're looking for a quick bite, because that's not an option.

I was in Zwolle with my friends and we went to this place for dinner. It took half an hour to serve two iced coffees (it was quiet and no one was there). Then it took another 25 minutes for the rest of the food to arrive, which was also incredibly expensive. The restroom was also really unsanitary; everyone used the same towel, damn it, it was absolutely disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

Every sweet tooth should stop by. I've tried several dishes and they're all delicious.

It was very disappointing! We had to get our own tea and ask for things. On the other hand, the decorations weren't nice or pretty. There was no communication and they weren't customer-friendly. We had a baby shower, and the decorations were so bad: one garland and six balloons. The food was dry; the cinnamon rolls were soggy because of the caramel. It would have been better if they were served separately. The scones were already made, and the whipped cream was completely soft! So disappointing!

Looks nicer and tastier on Instagram than it is.

Cupcake was dry and hard, paper was also loose, that might be why. Donut and the coffee was tasty

Workshop and lunch Big disappointment and super unhygienic! Let me start with something positive. The case looks super nice. There is a pink theme and it really gives you a sweet cupcake feeling. As far as I'm concerned, that could even be taken a bit more extreme! Upon entering we were really pleasantly surprised by what we saw. That pleasant feeling quickly disappeared like snow in the sun. The four of us had reserved a cupcake workshop. After a short welcome we were actually dumped in the basement where a table full of stuff was ready. There was 10 seconds of explanation. These are your cupcakes, this is fondant, this is buttercream and there are molds. Then the lady in question disappeared and we didn't see anyone again for 3 hours. So far the concept of "workshop". It was basically just decorate your cupcake yourself, without any real explanation, ideas, examples etc. Quite a shame if you've never done something like this before and actually have no idea. Anyway, we got down to business because we really had a day out. Until we looked closely at the fondant.... It turned out not to be new, but had already been in someone else's hands. There was even a ball of mixed colors mixed together. We weren't asked to wash our hands so I don't think anyone else was either. But apart from that, it is just extremely unsanitary and actually downright dirty. When we realized this, we were already at least halfway there. The idea of ​​eating fondant that may have been in dirty hands was so disgusting that we threw all the cupcakes in the trash when we got home.... After decorating the cupcakes we went upstairs with the idea of ​​having something to eat. By the way, no one asked whether we had succeeded in decorating the cupcakes or whether there was any interest in what we had made. We sat down at a table. Two ladies were busy making things, one taking pictures of cakes etc and the other girl was talking to acquaintances who were also sitting at a table. When we waited for at least 10 minutes without anyone paying any attention to us, I finally walked to the bar myself to order something. Conclusion: what a deception!!!! A business with so much potential, but really so heartless, unhygienic and run without interest. I advise everyone to walk around it with a wide berth!!!! In any case, they will never see us again....

What bad service. Each of us received our order separately, the last one an hour later than the first. Only when we asked whether the order was still coming did we receive an excuse and something was said about a discount. Not worth going here.

We went here in the afternoon, and it was fairly quiet (3 tables occupied). We had ordered, and while we were ordering another table left because they had already been waiting for a sandwich for 45 minutes. We ordered a milkshake that didn't arrive until after half an hour, and the cinnamon rolls (2 rolls and 3 scoops of ice cream) didn't arrive until after an hour. At that time, employees mainly drank cola and ate the toast of the people who had left. Not recommended for the price or the service

Bad services everything took really long time. People who left the store because they didn't have the order after an hour. Tables were dirty and the food mostly tasted like nothing

The gender reveal cake was not only very beautiful but also very tasty. Recommended! Definitely come back.

The three of us (my wife, my brother and I) come in on a Sunday afternoon, sit down at a table and look at the menu to order something. After 5 minutes we think: maybe they are busy and haven't come to serve us yet. But after waiting 10 minutes and seeing other people who came in later being helped, it becomes a bit annoying that no one comes to us. After waiting another 2 or three minutes we were still not helped or noticed at all, so we left, like it or not. Thank you very much for the service.

This review is about the workshop. We had booked a cake decorating and piping workshop with a group of adults. When we arrived, a table was ready with already used fondant (in different bags and in pre-kneaded balls) and material (which was not clean, all dried fondant on it). The explanation consisted of this is fondant, you can express this with the shapes, it was quickly demonstrated and that was it. So there was no guidance. You also have to wash your hands in the toilet at a very small sink. Washing your hands is not something they make mandatory, we had to ask for it ourselves. So you receive used fondant and you just hope that your predecessors have washed their hands. There was also a hair in the fondant. In our opinion, not a workshop and certainly not worth the money, due to the lack of guidance but also working with used fondant.

This shop "Sara's Sweets'' (the name has been changed, was Corners Bakery) made our wedding cake in June and it was great! Super good communication and fantastic cakes.

Sara's Sweets in Zwolle was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the range of sweet treats was amazing. The friendly service made my visit all the more enjoyable. Nice, it was fun with my husband and daughter. Beautiful atmosphere with pink color and delicious fluffy pancakes. There are fun activities to do, even for small children. They make workshops that I would do anyway in the future tense! All I think is a pity that there are few staff, there were 2 girls there and they were very busy, but they did a good job and they are friendly! Good luck.

Bought a brownie and cupcake today. The cupcake was very dry, not tasty. The topping though! The brownies themselves were fine, the bueno with them was really dry and dirty. I wouldn't come back anytime soon

Delicious!!!! We sat outside on the cushions in the window. Fresh mint tea with a shortbread...😋😋😋 Everything is freshly baked, beautiful cakes are made and the decor is pink. Really amazing.

I've had a delicious coffee here a few times with a different pastry each time. Surprising every time and incredibly tasty. If you like pink and sweet, this is highly recommended. Staff is great 😍😍

Wow what an experience to have lunch here! The girls are so sweet! Great service! And truly a paradise of pink sweets! Did you know that you can even buy cuddly toys and other accessories there! Real and believe me sooooo delicious! A big fat 5 stars! What amazing! I say go and experience it for yourself! They are toppers! So much love in the business!

Had a baby shower here, it was indicated that there were 2 people in wheelchairs, it was in the basement. So 2 people couldn't enter. Tablecloths full of tea stains. Too few savory sandwiches. There were 4 tea pots with 16 people, each containing a maximum of 3 cups. Always had to ask for tea and water, no sugar on the table. Thought it was very bad.

Found the case via Instagram. Booked high tea but unfortunately it was very disappointing. The food was delicious!!! But the experience and service less so. There is no fresh tea. Tea flavors consisted of earl gray and 1 with a flavor. So you pretty much had no choice. Not enough tea bags for number of people. Tea was not refilled, you had to ask for it yourself. Even though the food was delicious, I will skip the pink carpet from now on.

Nice place to eat and drink something. Only my father and I each got a spoon that was dirty, had light blue stuff on it. Not much, but it's the thought that counts. But the food was delicious :D Nice staff too.

We had strawberry and beuno shake it was the best one I have ever had. And the scones was to die for. A must try.

I ordered a raspberry cupcake. The frosting was delicious and so was the cupcake. However the cake was not so fresh( my guess is it was from 1-2 days before) Hence the 3 stars.

I had a cake made for my son's birthday. The cake was beautiful and incredibly delicious. Especially the buttercream.. My kids each had several pieces. Highly recommended!

In the meantime my favorite place to pamper myself. If you like something sweet, you've come to the right place. Super tasty brownies and the only place where I like cheesecake. Owner is super nice. I have never wanted to go anywhere alone, but here I can sit for a while while watching the beautiful orders being prepared. Very nice place!

The milkshakes with a donut were delicious, but we will never go there again. We came in at 3:30 PM and got the feeling that they would rather not have us order anything because they were “almost” closing.

The design of the store is a matter of taste. I personally think it is beautiful and contributes to the experience, but I can understand that people find it too much. The owner seems to me to be a very driven woman with a passion for her work and a lot of perseverance to dare to open in these (corona) times. The cupcakes and sweets are not only a pleasure to look at, but also delicious. Price-quality ratio is good. Besides cupcakes, they also have other tasty sweet things. Very professional. I would recommend everyone to try something delicious here, because then you will keep coming back.

If I had to give a rating from 1 to 10, I would give it a 7. People were certainly friendly and what we got was certainly fine, but the little things just weren't there. Lots of dirty dishes on the tables. Tables not yet taken. My fork was dirty on the handle. Those kind of things. Shame .....
