We had a nice meal here, unfortunately we had to wait a very long time, even though it was very quiet. I think they were underprepared, it can happen! It's just a shame that we didn't get an apology... The price for beer was very friendly (2.50), but I thought dinner was quite expensive.

Very tasty traditional food and the staff was welcoming. The interior is also nicely decorated and gives a nice vibe.

Had a very nice meal with a friend of mine. Enjeera tasted nice and fresh. The dishes too. The price was a bit higher than expected, but everything is more expensive these days.

Beware: the website contains prices that are no longer correct! Instead of 32 euros for the vegan set for 2 people, you now pay 50 euros. There is a note in the menu stating that the prices have been increased due to increased costs and that they are sorry. So we expected a few euros extra per person and after seeing the new prices, we didn't feel like looking for another restaurant. The food was not worth the price in terms of quantity, quality and taste. Afterwards I said something about this to the lady and she said something about the boss, blah blah, blah and whether we had not received the menu and that the prices on the website are already 4 or 5 years old. Then you either don't fully understand something about the internet or you understand it very well and think you have a nice way to lure people into your restaurant and then simply make people pay 50% more. Not worth repeating!

DELICIOUS Ethiopian food! We had such a delicious meal here 😋 many vegetarian / vegan options. Also nice people :) It was more expensive than expected (€28 pp with an alcoholic drink). Definitely recommended!

The food was excellent! My first time at an Eritrean restaurant, and it was a blast. We shared zigni beef, fried lamb, and champignons—the beef and champignons were especially good. Service was a mixed bag. One waitress wouldn't let us order tap water, despite us ordering two beers and a glass of wine, which was disappointing. However, the other waiter was very nice. The atmosphere is simple but charming, which I personally enjoy. Definitely recommended!

Unreal!!! I came here straight from the airport as soon as I got to Amsterdam. The food was amazing. SO GOOD.I was craving Ethiopian food and it just fully delivered. Highly recommend so authentic and delicious. Great, vegan and gluten free options.

I had a great experience here. Stopped here looking for something different and was pleasantly pleased with my experience. The service here is pretty relaxed. Depending on what you’re used to culturally it could be a slight turnoff but not to the extent to ruin the experience. We ordered the steak, chicken & lamb platter. It came with all of the veggies. The spices, seasoning, and flavor of everything with a 10 out of 10. I can’t stress enough of how great the food is here. If you’re visiting Amsterdam and in the mood for some authentic East African food do yourself a favor and check these guys out.

Food is alright, but 75 euro(!) for a mixed vegetarian plate for 3 people (lentils, peas some veg and the pancakes) is absolutely outrageous. Those are some of the cheapest foods in the world..

The vegetarian options were flavor bombs. I'd recommend the pumpkin dish which was served with injera and 4 different kinds of other vegetarian bites. Highly recommended for the food.

Prima gegeten hier, zelfs op een zaterdag was er ruimte zonder reservering. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten met een biertje uit het land van herkomst want dat wil ik ook altijd wel proberen. We hadden vier gerechten gekozen en gegeten met drie personen. Je eet er met je handen, geen bestek! Vind ik geen probleem want als je "in Rome bent doe je als de Romeinen". We zaten vol na afloop en dus was het lekker om naar de parkeerplaats te lopen. Parkeren in de buurt is wel lastig omdat het overal vol geparkeerd staat. Openbaar vervoer is een betere optie want dat stopt bijna voor de deur.

Food is alright. Nothing special, but attitude is bad. After finishing our meal, we asked for two glasses of water, the waitress came with two opened little bottles of water, which I refused saying we had asked for two glasses of tap water. She said we don't serve tap water but you can have it it is alright. So we thought we would not be charged, but we were. 5 euros for water. When I pointed to that, the waitress first didn't accept what she said, then she said ok it is my fault i will talk with the manager, and then manager came and discussed with me that it is not on the menu and i should have refused it when it came to the table- which i had done so!! Anyways, I said it is alright but i would not go there anymore and she didn't really seem to care. So not that professional. (I see on the reviews that I am not the first one who has been forced to pay for waters they did not order)

Very good Eritrean food, however we asked for tap water and they brought us bottles to force us to pay, for that reason is no more than 3 stars, service was very nice though so doing that to us surprised me

Ich dachte erst, das die Portion etwas zu klein wäre, doch da man statt Messer & Gabel mit den Händen ißt und dafür Brot nimmt, sättigt es dann doch. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Das äthiopische Bier kann ich auch empfehlen. Würde wieder hier hin gehen. Ein gutes Zeichen für die Qualität des Essens ist auch, das hier viele Gäste mit afrikanischen Wurzeln essen gehen 👍.

Gister afgehaald bij de vriendelijke mevrouw die me warm heeft verwelkomd. Dikke aanrader als je van habesha eten houdt. De liefde en traditionele heerlijke geuren proef je met elke hap. Complimenten voor de mevrouw die met haar eten jou 't gevoel geeft alsof je bij haar thuis eet. One of the best🙌

Had twee gerechten gehaald. Kwaliteit en smaak waren absoluut ok maar toch viel het tegen. Gerechten zouden kruidig zijn maar vond ze vlak van smaak. Lamsvleesgerecht zou ook extra pittig zijn maar dat was niet het geval. Al met al aten wij voor €30 (2 pers), ook niet heel goedkoop, en werden niet verrast en geïnspireerd. Smaakte doorsnee. Ik heb verder geen ervaring met de Ethiopische keuken maar als dit de maatstaf is zijn er betere keukens.

Het eten is erg lekker. Ben een groot fan van injera en bijhorende sausen waarbij het gerecht word genuttigd. Zeker een aanrader.
