It might be a bit on the higher price range (at least, that's what my friends say), but the food, the atmosphere, and especially the service are simply fantastic! I always enjoy eating there; the food is simply delicious, and if there's something you don't like, they have plenty of other dishes to fill you up. The service is warm and very friendly. They calmly explain how their system works, and if there's anything, they're happy to help (and quickly). They often walk past your table and, as soon as they see empty plates and bowls, immediately take them away. I'll keep coming back!

Yesterday we went to Shabu Shabu in Zoetermeer for the second time. We thought you were absolutely fantastic! - Fast and friendly service - Dishes were served quickly and tasted great. - Professional in so many ways, I don't even know what to mention. We were planning a cozy Christmas Eve with my two sons. Upon arrival, we were told we had two hours to eat, which we knew in advance, so it wasn't a problem. When we were ready for dessert after an hour and a half, a large group of people arrived and were told they would have my table with them. I still had at least 20 minutes. My boys were already on their way to dessert when I was asked to eat dessert at another table. I found this very annoying and unprofessional. I spend a lot of money, and I expect customer service in return, not to be ignored. No more Shabu for me for the time being, which is a real shame.

The service here is unreal. Legit take the last bite of the last piece and instantly someone comes and takes my plate. The cheese potato is amazing and the sushi is really high quality. I’m only missing the normal shrimp nigiri that isn’t seared. Very good price too. And the beauty of the place with the fake outdoors inside looks very realistic and beautiful. Would highly recommend.

This was a home delivery. All the cold sushi was piled up on the left side of the box. Photos available. That same evening, after being asked for, I was given my opinion. I've never experienced this before, so I have no experience of how to act other than by giving my opinion. Because I didn't receive a response, I called today (October 28) and reported the incident at 5:21 PM on October 15. The female employee told me I should have reported it by phone that same evening. Despite me saying I was waiting for a response to my submitted "opinion" and also saying I had photos as proof, she (rather annoyingly) kept repeating three times that I should have called immediately. I consider this to be very poor service and therefore request a more appropriate response than the one written above.

Been a satisfied customer for over 10 years. Always brought lots of people (new customers). Today to celebrate my son's birthday. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing with the one bespectacled, bigger, chubby Asian man (staff). One of my all-time favorite dishes there is the duck breast fillet. Today it really didn't taste good! But this gentleman had a hard time accepting it and felt the need to have a discussion with us. I think a lesson in social contact would do him good. I passed this on to the manager (nice man), who just knows my name XD. Yep, that's how often I came here!! XD. But this is an experience that unfortunately makes me not want to come here again. The atmosphere at our table was also somewhat spoiled by this experience. And in the end I was €240.00 lighter. Now I've been on the toilet for half an hour after vomiting. Didn't I tell you that duck breast fillet wasn't good...?!

The food is simply good. You order by scanning a QR code on your phone. Weekends are packed and therefore very busy. The kitchen struggles to keep up with orders, and the wait time increases. You'll wonder if your order went correctly. If you're with a larger group, you'll also lose track of who ordered what, and the dishes will arrive constantly. You also have to order everything for the group at once, otherwise you'll have to wait seven minutes before you can order again. I don't like that. Due to confusion and the longer wait, I reordered, and then the table was suddenly completely full, even though the wait actually makes you feel full. That's why I prefer a restaurant where you serve yourself if it's all you can eat.

For the first time in a long time, I went to shabu shabu for lunch in Zoetermeer. We were greeted by a polite gentleman who cheerfully showed us to our table. He was extremely friendly, so we got off to a good start. We ordered several sushi rolls, and I noticed that the salmon on the nigiri was far too thick and chewy. I also found it lacking in flavor. The cooked and fried items were fine. So, for us, it wasn't worth having lunch there again. It might sound disrespectful, but I'd rather go to Itamea or Bijou. To each his own, I'd say.

We went there at 5 pm and we ordered our first Round. The fried shrimp was very cold. Also we ordered sushi with fried chicken and it was also very cold like fried the day before. The quality was very mediocre and it tasted not great. We decided to not order another round because of the poor quality. It is very expensive for what you get. We asked if they could do something for us since we were not at all happy with the quality and had to pay almost 90 euros for one of the worst sushi’s we ve tried. They said that it’s all you can eat and that we needed to pay the full amount. Fair. But would have expected something or an apology for giving us cold food that is supposed to be fresh. Anyway wouldn’t recommend. The price is ridiculous.

I've always been a huge fan of this shabu, but the menu has changed. I hope you'll go back to the old menu, because so many delicious things have been removed. Shabu Shabu Zoetermeer has been my favorite restaurant since I moved to Zoetermeer 16 years ago, but now that they have changed the menu (this time not for improvement) I am very disappointed and will now go to the competitor, sorry. All gunkans have been removed including my favorite sushi of all, the tuna gunkan with delicious very finely chopped onions and spicy sauce. All handrolls can now actually no longer be called handrolls. They are now open on a plank, okay fine you would think, then I will roll it closed myself, but that does not work because the sushi leaf is much too small and when you try to eat it everything falls out, also on the table next to the small plate. Really not doable. Really too bad, sushi is more than just uramaki's and the small sushi's with only 1 piece of fish or cucumber (I never ordered the latter). So there is not much left for me besides just uramaki's. I hardly ate the warm dishes anyway, only the last round 3 things. The hamburger and curry with rice was one of my husband's favorites but a while ago the hamburger changed, not tasty and not juicy anymore (dry and less flavor), and the Japanese curry with rice or noodles etc. is also gone.

Very bad experience, will never come here again. I drove an hour specifically to come here to eat. We were warned that there might be a fine because there was some rice left during the meal. Two of us ordered a drink together with our meal. It is very unreasonable and unfair to be forced to order a drink per person at checkout, when this was not communicated at the beginning of the meal. We have never encountered this request at other Shabu. We asked the store to show us the rules, but they only provided an ambiguous sentence: Wij serveren geen kraanwater als consumptie. Consumptie is verplicht. After some reasoning, we let them go. This is the worst Shabu restaurant experience. You may be warned by the waiter for not finishing all the rice in the sushi, or you may be forced to order another drink after the meal because two people ordered one drink.

Of the Shabu branches, Zoetermeer is really the best for us. Food is always good. Hot dishes are really hot and the "sushis" are not cold because they are already pre-made and come out of the refrigerator like at other AYCE sushi restaurants. For an AYCE sushi restaurant, this remains our number 1.

Today at 5 p.m. we had a delicious meal at Shabu Shabu, and what a great experience that was! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. You really feel welcome and valued here as a guest. The food was truly fantastic: super fresh, tasty and with lots of variety. Each dish was prepared with care and beautifully presented. The service was surprisingly fast and efficient, without feeling rushed. What I also really appreciated: my phone happened to be empty and without asking I was offered a power bank to borrow. Little extras like that make a difference and show that at Shabu Shabu they really think along with you. What struck me was the interior of the restaurant: modern, stylish and cozy at the same time. The beautiful upholstery and warm atmosphere make it a nice place to enjoy an evening out. In short: Shabu Shabu has everything for a perfect dining experience. For us, Shabu Shabu in Zoetermeer is truly a paradise for culinary delicacies. You could order via the app and that was very easy. The order was then brought to the table and served. It was mainly Sushi dishes, but there was also meat and that was delicious too. In short, the food was tasty and nothing was missing. I eat there sometimes, the food is very good. It's a shame they don't offer delivery anymore, though. I used to order from them often. Very convenient for work and one of the better ones in the area. They also have healthier options, and they're fast. They're still listed on Thuisbezorgd or on their website, but then you only get a takeaway option. Such a shame.
