Delicious food, good price, and a great impression of this restaurant, with friendly staff. The babi pangang spek is delicious!

We had a wonderful meal for four. It might not be the fanciest restaurant, but it's all about the good service and the delicious food. We'll definitely be back.

Order picked up. My Tipan chicken tasted like rubber. Tough and rock hard. I could return it. Very nice when you're eating at home with several people (Not!) So this was a one-time deal. Worthless.

Unfortunately, after our last few visits, after being regular customers for 20 years, we've decided not to eat or order from this restaurant anymore. The ambiance is truly awful. The building smells of foundations or a sewer, and the decor is "a blind horse can't do any harm." On previous visits, it had already become clear that ice cream for dessert was out of the question. A shriveled, rock-hard banana with vanilla ice cream chock-full of ice crystals. We've also sworn off a liqueur afterward. Either it's a cheap imitation or the stuff has been watered down. Anyway, this time: the food. Despite being labeled "meager" on the menu and reiterated during our order, the hard lumps of fat were stuck to our Tipan Combi. We alerted the waitress, and in no time, three colleagues were standing over our plates, muttering in Chinese. The waitress's suggestion: You get one plate of Babi Pangang for the three of you, and you can trim the remaining fat off your own plate. This was the last straw for us, and we left the restaurant without a second thought.

I've been coming here for over 25 years. Twice, the noodles and bami pangang weren't prepared properly. I reported it, but there was no resolution, as I always ended up arguing with the owner. On October 3rd at 8:30 PM, I ordered two portions of bami pangang again. When I got home, the meat was very dark, dry, and tough. Meanwhile, the restaurant was already closed, and I couldn't call right away. Today, October 4th, I called to discuss it, and there was another argument, and again no resolution. I politely asked if she wanted the two portions back because we couldn't eat them because they were tough and dry. But she refused. I asked if she could replace these two portions with two new ones, but that wasn't an option either. After much reproach on my part (I didn't order until 8:15 PM and picked up the food at 8:30 PM. She said it was late and her cooks wanted to go home, which might be why they acted quickly and let the meat burn). So, I realized they were at fault, but she still insisted she wouldn't serve any other food because otherwise she would go bankrupt! Hello, I've been a customer for 25 years. I regularly pick up food and order for birthdays or Christmas/New Year's Eve. And if something goes wrong, I'm allowed to report it and expect a suitable solution. But she refused to cooperate. Such a shame. This has left a very bad taste, literally a bad aftertaste.

I recently had Indonesian and Cantonese rice table here. Very good and friendly service.

I had good expectations, but as soons as i saw these blue dots on the duck, i started to have suspicions about the hygiene and preparation of the food. I found a string stuck to my dumpling. We saw plenty of little blue dots of unidentifiable material everywhere on the duck (see pic) and we lost our appetite. The food is tasty but sadly we’re not gonna eat here anymore.

Great food and very hospitable staff. Inside it looks authentic. The outside could use a makeover. Wooden facade rotted halfway. Despite the outside the food was great.

Na bij het afhaalpunt nassie goreng compleet te hebben besteld moesten we buiten wachten ( ik en de hond ) thuis gekomen bleek er geen nassie maar bamie in het tasje te zitten . De groenten met flees was vlak van smaak de saté was wel lekker

The food is fine, just don't order water!! We asked several times for a carafe of water, just tap water. Glasses of water were placed on the table. Requested again for a carafe, again the request was ignored. Finally, a liter bottle of bar-le-duc was placed. We only saw on the bill that €7.80(!!!!!) was charged for this!! There was a whole discussion after this and it was not taken off the bill!! A bottle of bar-le-duc might cost €0.75! The five of us ate, the bill was almost €200. This turned a good experience into a very bad one!

Taken away noodles and nasi with babi goreng and satay. I went to larkplein for this and I always loved it. Compared to that, this was a bit disappointing. Sate too strongly seasoned, babi pangang with hard pieces and fat, nasi and noodles also slightly less. Portions were generous and collection was also super fast. I'll continue searching.

Babi Pangang was very greasy and not crispy l. Bami was very plain, with barely any through it. Foe Yong Hai was also disappointing. Next time back to Bleu Lotus.

We bought spring rolls a few weeks ago, they were a lot of fat, but we thought, oh well, it can happen to everyone and bought a monthly menu yesterday. Sauce watery, noodles almost without vegetables and tasteless, egg from foe young hai burnt taste, only the babi pangang was edible, but in the future we will not order anything again, we will not do that again.

Altijd vriendelijk, netjes en correct. Eten ook altijd goed en zeer zeker een van de beste van Purmerend. Druk of niet altijd goede kwaliteit. Trots op dat deze mensen zo lekker eten maken. Zeker een aanrader.

Gadogado too wet and few vegetables, the sauce watery. Ordered 3 pieces of loepia with meat but there was nothing in it. Peking duck was good but also the sauce too thin. Mihoen was good.

Well. My spring roll was saturated with a lot of oil. I didn't like it that much, but it was still good to eat

We came hungry from the road before closing time, but they still welcomed us warmly and we ate perfectly. For a very fair price.

The best (take-away) Chinese in Purmerend for 30 years will unfortunately close in July 2024.

The classic Chinese where you can pick up. Combination menu or menu of the week are recommendations. Each menu is enough for two people. They also have delicious spring rolls and other small side dishes that are worth having. If it were up to my children, we always get babi ketjap and foe yong hai there.. but that's a nice base where you can have something else ^^ also once friends were in the house, vegetarians were fortunately able to take some things which they were happy with.

Thick slices of "Peking duck", unseasoned, without sauce and with many hard and dry pieces, served cold on an ice-cold dish on a bed of 5 slimy bok choy stems. Please eat everything very quickly because the plates are also ice cold. Was remade (?) with a grumble. And again served on an ice-cold plate. After which the comment was "we have been doing this for 50 years and we have no intention of changing it". "That's why you get the warmer. Then it stays somewhat warm." We came here often and it was quite good. Unfortunately.....

Although the food was delicious, the area where we ate was very outdated, without atmosphere and shabby. The walls and tables were crying out for a makeover. Also hang up a few cozy Chinese lanterns for some fun and atmosphere.

We came here to eat 40 years ago, nothing has changed since then, it still looks the same. Food was fine not exceptional. It was very busy but the lady who took the orders had everything under control and everything went very smoothly.

We have been getting our food here for many years. We always call in advance and can then pick up the food at the agreed time. Top organised. The salty prawn crackers are absolutely delicious❤️ Very friendly staff.

Dikke plakken "pekingeend" ongekruid, zonder sausje en met veel gecremeerde stukken, koud geserveerd op een ijskoud schaaltje op een bedje van 5 snotterige paksoi steeltjes. Alles graag heel snel opeten want ook de borden zijn ijskoud. Werd morrend opnieuw(?) gemaakt. En wederom op een ijskoude schaal geserveerd. Waarna de onbeschofte opmerking was "dit doen we al 50 jaar zo en we zijn niet van plan dit aan te passen". "Daarom krijg je de warmhouder. Dan blijft het nog enigszins warm." Wij kwamen hier vaker en toen was het redelijk goed. Helaas.....

Restaurant has good food. You can eat on site or order a takeaway meal. The interior could use a makeover. For the rest fine.

The first Chinese restaurant in Purmerend (which I heard from my father). Been around for a very long time!! These people are very good, friendly and the service is top notch. The food is excellent and incredibly tasty!!

Got Koe lo kai for the first time, no taste. Both the noodles and the meat. Dish only comes with sauce without fruit. Come back to Golden Garden soon. Leeuweriksplein remains the best Chinese.

Had a lovely meal, my favorite is Fo Nam, it was really delicious, my wife had a combination dish, 2 different layers, also delicious. Spring roll special and chicken soup in advance and no dessert because they were full. Recommended.
