As a Republican, the subject matter of this case doesn't appeal to me, but I did have a nice lunch there, and that's what matters.

Nicely decorated restaurant/cafe with hospitable service. Good menu, but due to circumstances (leakage), no draft beer. The only downside is the toilet is upstairs.

We had a lovely lunch: a warm brie sandwich with walnuts and honey, and a cappuccino. It was delicious and cozy on the day we had to work hard.

What a delicious High Tea! Hot and cold, savory and sweet dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and we'll definitely be back.

De dame was ongeïnteresseerd, liet duidelijk irritatie merken bij afrekenen. Terras ligt gunstig dus mensen komen toch wel.( denkt men waarschijnlijk) Hoop dat men op tijd beseft dat hun arrogante houding en ongeïnteresseerde bediening moet veranderen , slechte recensies leven lang voort.

Once, never again! I sat on the terrace and had to wait more than 10 minutes for service to arrive. This was not because the terrace was busy, there were a few people there. I indicated that I had been there for quite a long time and nothing was done about it. I asked for the lunch menu and had to wait a long time for it. I ordered a sandwich and after about 20 minutes I was just about to ask where my food was when she came to me. I had a meat allergy after all, she asked. I replied I have no idea what you are talking about. I ordered a sandwich and it never came. She very nonchalantly told me that she had given it to a man inside! A new one was made for me! There was a minuscule apology. When I was eating I was given a very, very small piece of cake with whipped cream, as a compensation. Didn't work. That was too late. She should have immediately offered me something to drink on the house when I had to wait for my food again. In addition, she could greet and help customers more friendly and warmly. I don't think she is suitable for the catering industry. Once, never again!

What a disappointment. I came from Amsterdam with a friend to eat a sandwich here. We are told that we can only get a drink, because there are not enough customers today. (Monday, Feb. 17) Then close if you don't think it's worth it. I think we would easily spend 50 euros, but that is not enough to serve us. Too bad, I used to like coming here, but now I'll just stay in Amsterdam for something to eat. I find it very customer unfriendly. I've been coming there for years, but apparently that doesn't matter. I think a little service for your regular customers is appropriate. Once again I think it's a real disappointment for this case.

The owner must take responsibility.. Had lunch here weeks ago to discuss a baby shower with high tea on the first floor. You could rent the top floor for 20 people or more, even on Sundays when the business is normally closed. We chose Saturday February 1, we had 18 people but agreed that we would pay for high tea for 20 people because we wanted to have the top floor to ourselves. We were allowed to come half an hour earlier to decorate, etc. Everything was well organised, you think. A few days before the high tea I was called to ask if the baby shower with the high tea could be held an hour later, I said that it was not possible because all the invitations had been sent out. The answer was that I understand it will be fine. When we arrive at the agreed time, there are 6 people having a high tea and two more tables were occupied. So we didn't have the entire top floor as agreed, it ended up being quite a discussion, and not resolved... we had misunderstood everything, said the best man. Very strange why do you have to pay for 20 people, while we were with 18 people and why was I called a few days in advance to ask if it could be done an hour later? It's sad if you can't plan to present it to your guests yourself. Something can always go wrong, but just admit it and come up with an appropriate solution and at least an apology. No more Queen's hats for us!

I was very disappointed that the pork was undercooked! When we sent it back I got a big mouth. Got lukewarm soup Conclusion: could be better, much better I just read that someone had broken a tooth there at high tea, well that confirms my experience.. Not real catering people, it seems to me, if you know the basics, food must be at least 60 degrees C!

Until a few years ago I came here every week for lunch and was always very satisfied with the quality of what was offered and the service. Had lunch here again today with my daughter and unfortunately we had to conclude that a lot has been compromised on both components. Our familiar sandwiches from earlier were not only minimally filled, but also poorly prepared and sloppily served. The scrambled eggs on the sandwich consisted of several large pieces of omelet. When I reported this to the owner, I was assured that there was still the same cook. But hey... what kind of assignment does he get? My report was clearly not appreciated because after that I was more or less ignored. When my daughter ordered something, I was not asked anything. A dirty glass (they clearly don't polish it here) was taken back but not replaced. I received a grubby tea glass with a broken rim. Luckily my daughter saw it in time. For dessert we ordered French toast with whipped cream and whipped ice cream as stated on the menu. Was served without ice. But nothing more said... Stupidly enough, I still tipped, not because they deserved it but because that's how it is in my system. No more address for us. Very unfortunate because it is a pleasant place on the Cheese Market.

Leuke ambiance, maar het eten, bediening en service echt verschrikkelijk. Varkenssate tot 2 x aan toe teruggestuurd was niet gaar. De zalm was gewoon nog rauw ook die terug gestuurd. De burgers waren niet te eten en de carpaccio was smakeloos. Toetje besteld, het zogenaamde snoeperijtje met slagroom truffel, bon bon met caramel zeezout en citroentaart. De slagroom truffels waren er niet, ook de bonbons niet en het stukje citroentaart kon je in je holle kies schuiven.2 van de gasten wilde ook nog een taartje extra bij het snoeperijtje. Kregen ze als extra service 2 tompoucen door de helft gesneden erbij Als je er iets van zegt wordt de eigenaar nogal boos en denkt niet mee. Met afrekenen was het snoeperijtje wat op de kaart voor €5.50 staat in ene €6.00 want ja inflatie. Ook heeft mijn vriendin haar kies gebroken tijdens het eten door een keihard stukje. Nee dit is echt voor ons 1 x en nooit meer.

't Hoedje van de Koning is een geweldige plek om te lunchen in Purmerend. Ik heb hier onlangs geluncht en ik was zeer onder de indruk van zowel het eten als de service. Ten eerste wil ik het hebben over het eten. De menukaart van 't Hoedje van de Koning biedt een breed scala aan heerlijke gerechten. Of je nu zin hebt in een lichte salade, een hartige sandwich of een warme soep, je zult zeker iets vinden dat aan je smaakpapillen voldoet. Het eten wordt vers bereid met hoogwaardige ingrediënten en dat proef je echt. De ingrediënten waren vers en smaakvol, en de portie was royaal. Ik kon echt genieten van elke hap. Naast het geweldige eten was ik ook erg onder de indruk van de service bij 't Hoedje van de Koning. Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk en attent. Ze begroetten me met een glimlach en namen de tijd om mijn bestelling op te nemen en eventuele vragen te beantwoorden. Mijn eten werd snel geserveerd en ze zorgden ervoor dat ik alles had wat ik nodig had. Het personeel creëerde een warme en gastvrije sfeer, waardoor ik me echt op mijn gemak voelde tijdens mijn lunch. Wat ook opviel, was de gezellige ambiance van 't Hoedje van de Koning. Het interieur is mooi ingericht met comfortabele stoelen en een ontspannen sfeer. Er is voldoende ruimte tussen de tafels, waardoor je privacy hebt tijdens het eten. Het restaurant heeft ook een mooi terras waar je kunt genieten van je maaltijd in de buitenlucht op zonnige dagen. Al met al kan ik 't Hoedje van de Koning ten zeerste aanbevelen voor een heerlijke lunch in Purmerend. Het eten is fantastisch, de service is uitstekend en de sfeer is gezellig. Of je nu alleen bent, met vrienden of met familie, je zult hier zeker een geweldige ervaring hebben.

Had lunch with a large group and was shocked by the quality and how ugly the sandwiches were served. The toilets were filthy! My colleague thought the toilet seat was "discolored"... it turned out to come off with toilet paper... it was discolored orange-red... so menstruation! Really yuck! So not for repetition.

Very unfriendly and unfair. My girlfriend is vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian panini sandwich for €7. After a very long wait she was given two halves and unsuspectingly ate the first. She was about to consume the second one until she saw a real piece of bacon melted onto her sandwich. She brought it back and they offered to make a new one. Because she didn't want to wait that long, she asked for a portion of fries (worth €4.4) instead of the same sandwich. She was then given a mini portion of literally ten fries. They charged for both the sandwich and the mini fries. When my girlfriend went to get a story, they said that they don't just offer fries, to which my partner replied that the fries are less expensive than the sandwich. Finally, she got some of the money back, but not all of it. It was funny that other customers after us also had complaints. Then no tip and a negative review, in all areas. Unfriendly, not friendly to vegetarian, vegetarian food is made in the same pan/iron as meat food. Long wait and rude staff.
