We had a fantastic meal here! The Iskender was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The grilled dishes were also wonderfully tender and fresh from the grill. The shawarma was clearly a house specialty – spicy, juicy, and perfectly prepared. Furthermore, the service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and relaxed. You can tell they really care about quality here. I'd like to thank Emrah for his hospitality. In short, highly recommended! We will definitely be back. 🍽️🔥

We thoroughly enjoyed the food; the service was excellent and fast. The Meseuut specialty platter is a delicious mix of all kinds of meat. It also comes with four different sauces. Fantastic!

We went to this restaurant and ordered İskender. Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment. The tomato sauce wasn't good, and the meat didn't taste fresh. We also ordered soup, but they completely forgot about it. We ordered dessert, but it took so long that we ended up getting up and leaving. What makes it even worse: we also ate here a year ago, and it was good then. But this time, not at all. And for that quality, we thought it was way too expensive.

Great food and it was a lot. I had the shoarma with lamb ribs and they both were excellent. Also the accompanied fries were excellent and there was also more than enough salad.

The food was a disgrace, truly disgusting! The fake Adana kebab is a mixture of soy, bones, and meat. In other words, it's trash, and it doesn't taste like Adana either. The same goes for the Iskender doner, a similar mixture: a mixture of mashed bones, cartilage, soy, and offal (anything but the authentic "yaprak doner"). It takes some courage for a restaurant owner. As soon as you order the Iskender, a second-rate "chef" comes and throws burnt butter on your Iskender (as if you're eating quality meat at Nusret's). Haha! You should be mortified to even dare to do this with such a "dish." The final joke was the bill for this very shocking experience. Anyway, just stay away from this place; it's absolutely scandalous!! Even a regular doner place is much better. As a chef, I say, don't be fooled.

I come all the way from North Brabant just for this – that speaks volumes. Always fresh, well-seasoned, and perfectly prepared.

My favorite Turkish restaurant in Amsterdam. Authentic Turkish iskander is the highlight, with the çay of course. The staff are really friendly and treat you like family. The food was decent, but the service was downright bad. The cutlery was thrown on the table and the straws for the drinks were thrown in carelessly as if you were in a fast food restaurant instead of a full-fledged restaurant. There was hardly any staff to be found and if you asked for something, it took way too long to get it. To make matters worse, we had to list what we had eaten and drunk when paying. Messy, disinterested and not professional at all.

We ordered two durum doner to go. Delicious. 10/10, and a very good price for the quantity and quality. A thousand times better than the ones in Spain. The guy who served us was very friendly.

Unfortunately, the İskender was very disappointing here. The meat was tough and had little flavor, and the sauce was watery. The bread under the meat was soggy instead of nice and crispy. The service was otherwise excellent, but I expected much more from the quality of the food. Not recommended for İskender lovers.

If you are not Turkish you should not eat here. I think 10 people came after me, got their food and I still had to wait

A total disappointment!!! We said Alexander. The piece of minced meat they called doner was really rubbery. I can't tell you how much I regretted it when we bought the first piece. They also wrote that they did this job properly, from father to son. I wish you had made something else instead of doner kebab. It was truly a big disappointment. I definitely, definitely do not recommend it. We left with great regret.

You are hit behind the ears with those prices, the food was also not tasty and even iftar amounts do not correspond at all to the menu. They charge €10 for water that was already on the table and this for something that was not even asked for and that for 3 bottles. Never again for us!

Got food poisoning after eating iskender here. You should be ashamed of yourself for being so unhygienic and daring to sell meat that is no longer good. I've been sick for days. You don't even deserve 1 star.

A very nice place to come with family. Food is just grill and typical Turkish. I could use a little less salt. Especially if you have fries and meat. But service is good, atmosphere is great with the lights and TV fireplaces.

Köfte sandwich and Durum Chicken roll tasted very good, fresh ingredients and the meat is of good quality. I was also helped very friendly and I did not wait more than a few minutes for my order. Definitely worth repeating to eat with a group of friends!

Enough parking options around the restaurant. Off street parking. Kneffe was wonderful, and the rest of the food was just above average. I don't eat Turkish food much. On Tuesday, my husband and I decided to satisfy our craving for authentic Turkish food by visiting a restaurant we had discovered. From the moment we walked in, it was clear something was off. The staff barely acknowledged us, and after being told to seat ourselves, we waited an uncomfortably long time for a menu. With only one other customer in the restaurant, the delay felt inexplicable—we even wondered if we were expected to fetch the menu ourselves. When we finally received the menu and decided what we wanted, my husband had to call for the server’s attention more than four times, only to be ignored each time. While it’s understandable that someone might not hear on the first try, what made it worse was the chef sitting at a nearby table, sipping tea and watching us. He met our eyes but didn’t so much as gesture to the server standing behind him. We tried to dismiss it, thinking they might be preoccupied—until new customers arrived. To our shock, within five minutes, the newcomers had their table set and their menus in hand. Meanwhile, our table hadn’t even been prepared. Frustration started to build, and we considered leaving, but hunger and exhaustion from a long day kept us in our seats. The real irony came when the food arrived. It was delicious, a testament to the kitchen’s skill. Everything was freshly made; the chicken and shawarma were perfectly grilled and not at all greasy. But the good food only deepened our disappointment—we couldn’t truly enjoy it because of how poorly we had been treated. Is great food worth such dismissive service? For us, the answer is no.

I'm from The Hague but my bestie lives in Amsterdam, close to this restaurant! He is currently on holiday but I miss him very much. I went here with him for the first time and never ate such delicious bread in my life! Also with different sauces, he ordered chicken for us and I ate almost everything myself. The service is also great and everyone is super nice! When he is back in the Netherlands I will definitely come visit. I miss you!

Iskender made of minced meat doner has no flavor at all, the waiter is rude, when asked what you want to drink he says "ik heb geen energie allemaal te benomen" and says look at the menu, the tea is like poison, it looks like it has been waiting for a day. This is my first and last visit here. Nice location, what a shame.
