Silk Sushi & Asian Dining in Centrum

The four of us had dinner here, at a lovely round table! It's a cozy spot. We had a fantastic meal, and every dish was delicious (see photos). The staff were lovely, and I think it would be nice to sit at the rotating table; we'll definitely do that next time. Highly recommended 😄😄😍

There was a confusion with our table code and with the food that was brought to our table, which was not ours. However, it was a really fine place, sushi was very good and the salads too. Warm dishes were great, stay away from fried food, not that great… Service was good! A bit overwhelming with many waiters. Nevertheless all with a smile and nice to talk to. Didn’t stay for dessert, but would come again :)

I've been to Silk many times, both in Apeldoorn and Arnhem. I think Apeldoorn looks nicer in terms of atmosphere and interior, but I still prefer the sushi and hot dishes in Arnhem. It's definitely worth it.

Delicious sushi and friendly service. My girlfriend with hyperacusis especially appreciated that there's no noise from clearing the table.

We were disappointed. We had high expectations, but some dishes were prepared in unusual ways, so you couldn't really taste the real thing. Not all orders went well either, and we ended up getting it three times...

You shouldn't advertise specific opening hours on your website, only to turn me away at the door and ask me to come back later. Either move your hours, or make sure you can actually receive guests at the specified time. This is the fastest way to ensure someone never comes back.👎

The food was delicious and of good quality, except for the tempura shrimp and mini spring rolls, which were a bit greasy. Service upon arrival was mediocre; we were shown to a table without any explanation. A tablet was shoved in front of us, and we had to figure it out. Other guests after us did receive an explanation. There was plenty of choice, but the desserts were rather plain and limited.

Honestly, the food was so good, the chicken, meat, etc., wasn't good or was served cold. The Chinese man was genuinely angry and grumpy. If you don't like your job, do something else. Nice atmosphere, good waitresses, but that's about it. AND FIX YOUR ANNOYING TABLETS. THAT DOESN'T MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY. It shuts off or doesn't work 4 times in 3 minutes, and orders don't come in. A 1 out of 10, that one point for the atmosphere and waitresses, nothing more.

I finally visited Silk after hearing so many good things and it truly lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and beautifully styled. You can tell that a lot of thought went into every detail. The sushi was super fresh and full of flavor, and the lychee martini was honestly one of the best I’ve had. But what stood out the most was how kind and attentive the staff were. They made the whole experience feel so welcoming. Definitely a place I’ll come back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food in a beautiful, peaceful setting.

The food was served fairly quickly, sometimes it took a little longer, but it was also quite busy on a Sunday evening. The tablet was annoying, having to keep going back to the main menu to browse through all the dishes. The dishes were okay, nothing special. We missed some more typical shrimp dishes, like garlic shrimp. Sometimes shrimp dishes were made with very strange (bulging?) shrimp. There was a chicken dish with orange flavor, in a homemade, slightly spicy sauce. I don't like spicy, but I gave it a try anyway. No heat at all, no orange flavor, and it tasted like reduced tomato puree. I ordered the sticky chicken twice, and a different flavor twice. A lot of the chicken resembled frozen meatballs. Occasionally, it was also quite soggy. I saved room for the dessert buffet. Meh, the ice creams weren't anything special (including Smurf ice cream (?!), stroopwafel ice cream, and an indefinable flavor. (No explanation, tasted it, but tasted nothing). Chocolate fountain, tons of candy (why, it's not dessert), and then a refrigerator with small pastries and such. Very chemically flavored and/or tasteless; even the melon had no flavor. There was a whipped cream dispenser in the same refrigerator, its spout full of blobs of whipped cream. So, there's still a lot of room for improvement before you can truly enjoy a good meal here. There are many better sushi restaurants in Apeldoorn that are much better in terms of food, service, and price-quality ratio.

When you order for €70, you expect napkins in the bag. You also expect your sushi to be different, not just thrown in a box. Some have sauce, some don't. You can just tell it was made hastily.

We were a bit disappointed with the food. The sushi was excellent! The other dishes were mediocre, and the udon noodles were cold. The atmosphere and service were good. But you really come for the food.

When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance. We were finally greeted by a waiter, a man in his late 20s to mid-30s, who was clearly in quite a hurry. After searching for a while, we were shown to a table that was, with some difficulty, put together to be baby-friendly. By the time we were finally able to sit down, the waiter was already busy with other customers. We didn't get any explanation about the tablet. We were about 5 minutes early for our reservation and were still waiting for two people. So I asked if the time had started yet, or if it was later. I was interrupted halfway through: "The time has started, because we're busy." Understandable, but not in the way it was presented. A high chair was offered, but of course, we were specifically told to put the stroller behind something, otherwise it would be in the way. When we finally started eating, things weren't much better. The first drinks were violently slammed onto the table by the blonde waitress. It felt a bit like she was being forced to work. After briefly grabbing the baby from the highchair for a snack, an older man with glasses walked by. I think he was a bit hasty, because he kicked the highchair aside. He walked on without hesitation. This happened again a little later, causing the folded stroller, which was neatly placed under the table (since it would otherwise have been in the way of the staff), to fall over. I think the highchair was still in the way. Getting to the desserts was also an adventure. It was a bit of a search without explanation, but we eventually found it. The same thing happened with paying. The food was fine, but it all felt hastily prepared. All in all, not a great experience. The team could definitely use some customer service and hospitality training. 3/10

Delicious sushi according to the connoisseur. (My wife) I don't eat sushi, but I enjoyed many other dishes. Plenty of choice. I find the price high, especially since the drinks are included, (otherwise 5*) But the quality of the food is worth a good price... Easy to reserve via Google. Ordering with the tablet is also fine. Toilets were neat and clean. Definitely worth repeating.

We didn't like it this time. The sushi rice was cooked too long and therefore tasted weak. It's just too expensive for the mediocre quality you get. Too bad...not recommended.

The food is fantastic! Even if you have it delivered to your home. I give the service 3 stars because I recently ordered food to pick up at 17:00, but I didn't get it until 17:35. Otherwise a nice restaurant to eat.

Had a great meal last night. The restaurant has a modern, atmospheric and stylish interior where you can relax immediately. There is plenty of choice in food and drinks, everything is served with care and quickly. The atmosphere is super relaxed and you can choose your own dessert from the open buffet. Recommended for a fun night out!

During a weekend away we ate here, there are several all in sushi restaurants in the center. For a fixed price 2 hours of food (excl drinks) and we had a nice and good meal. We sat next to a belt where you could also grab sushi, and you could order 3 dishes per 15 min via the tablet. There was a dessert buffet with lots of sweets, sweets, ice cream and some pastries/mini desserts.

We had a delicious meal here tonight! The restaurant looks nice and has a cozy atmosphere. We found the sushi and other dishes delicious and of good quality. The desserts were also great! Recommended!

I'm not in the habit of writing bad reviews and instead I simply don't go back anymore but in this case I think I should mention that I had a rethink on the quality of the food. Not only are you hit with an annoying 15-minute-waiting period between a few small dishes, but the meat dishes are a bit underwhelming and have caused me some trouble later on several occasions if you catch my drift. I have seen raving comments on the sushi but I find them to be very loose and I usually remove most of the (cheap) rice. The salmon is very low quality grade and only cooked or 'flamed' versions of it look edible. I am not claiming to be an expert on rice grains, but it's just not 'it' or what I think good sticky sushi rice should be like. I also think it's missing the rice vinegar and wasabi but perhaps that's just me remembering what sushi could or should look, feel and taste like. All in all, there are better options around, especially if you consider that for the same amount of money you could have 5 course dinners at much better restaurants in Apeldoorn.

Food did not arrive or was bad and overcooked. Ambience of the place is very cozy and friendly staff. I had the idea that they were short-staffed, because the service did not know where to put the food on the tables. While they had put something Opening hours from the same Tray table. And they walked 4 rounds before it arrived on our table. Too bad..

Last night I had dinner at your restaurant, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for the first round. When I pointed this out, we were told to reorder. In the end, we only got one and a half rounds of food in the hour and a half that followed. The meat was also completely dried out. As compensation, we only got a verbal apology and a €10 discount, which I find inappropriate given the poor service and quality. Unfortunately, I will not be returning here. ( I can understand it somewhere, maybe because of the crowds, but waiting an hour for 2 types of sushi.. and meat … )

Friendly staff but only when you see them or call for service via tablet. The tablet froze a few times and had to go find staff to help as no one was around to flag down. It was a quiet weekday evening. Food was super lovely just a shame it's 3 items each then you have to wait 15 minutes before you can order more so only go if you have the time. Kitchen closing at 2100 means start your meal no later than 1900!

The food was undercooked. Also had absolutely no taste. I've been to Arnhem once and had a good experience. Came back to try it in Apeldoorn. Never again, sincerely. Never experienced anything so bad. Shame!

Everything was really tasty and on the table within 8 minutes. The only thing I miss is some more sushi that doesn't contain imitation crab, otherwise great!

Had dinner here yesterday with my wife. What concerns me is that the price/quality of the food was not in proportion, with the caveat that the Sushi Rolls were fine and the dessert buffet was inviting. Other dishes left a lot to be desired, too much sauce on the protein, too many fried dishes and most dishes were very one-sided in taste. And there you pay approximately 80 euros for two people to dine for 2 hours? That is a solid revenue model. Immediately after our visit my wife became unwell and felt nauseous. By the way, I didn't have any problems myself. In short, the dinner left much to be desired.

Have eaten here before but never this bad. The ordered tuna sashimi (at an additional cost) was even sent back to the kitchen because it was really not good. Tuna on other sushi was very thin, tasteless and colorless tuna. As if it has thawed quickly straight from the freezer. The Eems also seemed to have thawed straight from the freezer. Nothing no taste but the sashimi was really spoiled. The desserts seem to be becoming more and more chemical, I think money needs to be made quickly. Very unfortunate, we were always satisfied. But it all seems to have to be done faster and at increasingly lower quality.

Not recommended, service was extremely slow. 1:15 hours waiting for a round. Ended up getting some drinks for free. But everything went wrong with us and the tables around us. Annoyed all evening with the poor service. Next time Blue Sakura again. Silk is a waste of money.

The staff was very nice, but I was disappointed with the food, my lamb chop was tougher than the sole of my shoe, but the atmosphere was nice, but the food was not good and the music should be changed, the same goes for silk ARNHEM!

The food, when it came at all, was often cold (which shouldn't be cold). Just like the restaurant itself. No, not recommended. Dessert buffet was nice.

I had been to Silk Zwolle before, I really liked it! So now I'll try apeldoorn... but I don't think I'll come back here. I found the taste of the food a bit disappointing. It was all fine to eat but not really a highlight. It's a pity that you can only choose 1 of the desserts from the menu. You do have a running dessert buffet, but most of them are ready-made things that are unfortunately impossible to eat. We also had to wait a very long time for the first order. Received 1 sushi roll and the rest was left away. Ultimately we were able to order again after 15 minutes (it was said every 10 minutes but we timed it... it was every 15 minutes) so the 2 hours passed quickly. Eventually it was stated that we had not received everything from the first round, our tablet was taken away and they eventually came back with it and we still received part of the first order. I ordered the missing dishes again. We also received things a few times that we had not ordered... it was all a bit chaotic if you ask me.

Highly recommended! One of the best, maybe the best sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at! They also have really delicious cocktails! I would say if you have any doubts, go for it!

I have often gone out for dinner with a large group of friends (7-9) and never have I been as well looked after as tonight in Silk. We had the unlimited food & drinks package and were served quickly and treated well. Definitely recommended in Apeldoorn!

We had a delicious meal here. Nice range and good quality sushi. Especially if you don't like fish like me. Nice to sit at the sushi belt for once, but disappointing that it was not refilled and after 2.5 hours the same leftover portions continued to appear. The quality of the staff varied, one employee always neatly told us what we were getting, another did not understand Dutch. The sushi portions are sometimes a bit on the large side, while the hot dishes are smaller than the image suggests (select beef rolls and get 1). What struck me was that the children were overpriced (up to 11 years old €24.50 instead of €16.50). This seemed like a glitch in the system, so I would pay close attention here.

What a pleasure today was! We had a delicious lunch at Silk. Actually a kind of lunch & dinner in 1. Cozy atmosphere with the cherry blossoms & stylish colors. The sushi was delicious. My favorites are the truffle salmon & flamed salmon.

This is so far the best all you can eat I have been to, beautiful luxurious restaurant. Delicious, high-quality sushi and a wide choice of side dishes. Dishes are beautifully served and prepared, making it less like an “all you can eat”. The price here is also lower than an average restaurant with the same concept. I give 5 stars and will definitely come back!

We really loved it here!! We were on the conveyor belt so we didn't even have to wait 10 minutes but could eat straight away! It was really tasty and lots of choices! Staff was also very nice and the restaurant looks super nice and has a good atmosphere.

Personally, I think Silk Anrhem is more fun, but my husband is more of a fan of Apeldoorn. The visitors in Arnhem are a bit more diverse, which I like, and there is a more informal atmosphere.

I had a really delicious meal. I went to Silk with my grandmother and mother. It was my grandmother's first time for a restaurant like this and she enjoyed it very much. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and atmospheric. All dishes were also really tasty. I would definitely come back again

Food was reasonable, service was really bad, we had to wait 20 minutes each time for a piece of food and had ordered a piece of meat twice and it just didn't show up and we asked that the staff doesn't know anything and we always blame the kitchen, yes it is busy delivering! Once never again!! Worst restaurant ever

We had a delicious meal at Silk Dining in Apeldoorn. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. The sushi was very tasty and the hot dishes were really great! We thought the portions were good. Rather too big than too small. And the dessert buffet was phenomenal. Our son didn't know where he wanted to taste first so many delicious choices. Ordering the dishes went very well with a tablet on the table. This restaurant is highly recommended!

“Crap child,” the waitress said laughing to her colleague about my 10-month-old son who had become ill shortly after arriving. My mother and I ate 3 dishes. When I asked if I could take what was already on the table, she said no. So they would rather throw it away than give it away. But please pay €85. Service was always great here and I often ordered as my neighbor upstairs, but this is so bad!!!

First of all we missed an enthusiastic reception from the manager/owner. The restaurant has a very attractive atmosphere. When it comes to sushi, there is a wide choice. And it has a very nice taste and lots of variety. What disappointed us was the hot meals. Like lamp meat, lamb chops contain a lot of tendons and are a bit tough. The homemade green tea has almost no taste. The waiters were very friendly. Only the manager/owner is allowed to show some hospitality. After all, you are also the company's calling card. 😉 For small children, it is not advisable to place chairs near a high table or higher. It's just a tip! Luckily we got a longer table.

Food was good. Many orders were not delivered to the table. No service. No excuses. Just order them again. Duh. Drinks take way too long to be served.

The food here was really good! What disappointed us a bit was the hospitality. We were missing 1 dish in an order, which we requested twice and it never came. This then happened again in a subsequent dish. Asked someone again and we still didn't get our dish. When we asked another server, it could suddenly be arranged. My girlfriend also politely asked one of the, I'm guessing managers, where the toilet was and he just pointed and said that it should be clear... So all in all, delicious food but if you like a cozy atmosphere you should you can really create it yourself here :)

Disappointing experience Although the food was fine, the experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the poor service. The staff didn't seem to be able to handle the crowds; There was sometimes an hour between dishes and ordering a drink took at least 20 minutes. When we politely pointed this out, we received a bored and arrogant response. Instead of taking the feedback seriously, it was suggested whether we wanted a discount. We just wanted to provide constructive feedback, hoping it would be taken up in a professional manner. Unfortunately we will not be coming back here again.
