Slechte bediening vuile en smerige tafels Schandalig dat je € 7,00 euro per uur aan parkeren kwijt bent. Het eten is niet meer wat het geweest is.

Kibbeling met friet ,friet niet gaar kibbeling te veel beslag vis erg droog , kortom was eigenlijk niet te eten en te duur🫤🫤🫤

Ziek van de frituur. Lijkt wel of het te lang gebakken is in oude olie. Zie dat anderen hier ook last van hebben. Wat een afgang

Slechtste vis van Nederland. Meer beslag dan vis, die overigens smaakloos was. Enorm vet en veel te veel beslag. Prijs veel te hoog voor wat je krijgt. Hier gaan wij dus nooit meer een visje eten!!

Kwaliteit was slecht, fruits de mer niet volgens de menukaart. Kreukels droog en smakeloos. Gamba's droog en smakeloos, medewerker aan de kassa was lomp en ongeïnteresseerd. Na 10 jaar gaan wij naar een ander adres!

Simonis used to be good, but nowadays the goal is to sell the dirtiest and most expensive bickering in the Netherlands. Luckily I puked it all up at home. Not recommended

It used to be a good place with nice portions of kibbeling. Now you pay 9 euros for 100 grams. And behind the counter also a bit grumpy. In any case, it was better 10 years ago.

Wat een ellende. Het eten kibbeling was echt zo slecht en ronduit niet te eten. Mijn man zei kom vroeger was dit echt een super visboer. Nou het is gebleven bij 1 hapje en de rest hebben wij in de prullenbak gegooid. Echt zonde en verspilling maar het was echt niet goed.

Блюда что мы заказали, феле трески и мидии очень очень жирные. Холодная тарелка с морепродуктами желала быть лучше. Хотя и очень быстро принесли заказ, не смотря на большое количество людей, приборы не принесли. Я бы не рекомендовала дальше посещать этот ресторан, особенно если вы очень любите рыбу, что бы не разочароваться.

On the menu it's called "fried plaice", but in reality it's a lump of fried breadcrumbs with a snotty fish inside. Doesn't resemble a plaice at all, and is certainly not fried but fried plaice. The mussels don't taste like anything either.

Fue interesante ver cómo otros huéspedes potenciales se sorprendieron de que un restaurante de pescado sirviera pescado en su mayoría. La diferencia entre Simonis y los demás es que no ofrecían pizza o Schnitzel como muchos otros restaurantes. Pedí unos mejillones y patatas fritas, y eran preciosos. Los puntos malos por los que podría no volver a ir son el estado de los baños y el hecho de que pudimos observar la cocina y ver cómo los camareros se burlan del desperdicio de comida.

Op de buitenkant hangt een hele uitgebreide kaart met o.a. oesters en vongole etc. Eenmaal binnen krijg je een “aangepaste” veel kleinere kaart, bij navragen kregen wij te horen dat ze in de zomer een aangepaste kaart hebben. Wel gek want ze zijn alleen in de zomer open, de kaart aan de buiten kant is dus bedoeld om mensen binnen te lokken. Op de aangepaste kaart staat bijna alleen maar gefrituurde vette zooi op. Binnen zijn ze gesloten. Uiteindelijk voor de mosselen gegaan, deze waren best lekker. De friet was niet te eten en ook de service was slecht. Verdrietig om te zien dat Simonis met het jaar slechter wordt. Dit was voor ons na jaren trouwe klant te zijn geweest de laatste keer.

I already knew another Simonis restaurant (the one at the fish auction) but this restaurant has a big plus that the other restaurant does not have: a view of the sea and when there is a bit of wind, the sea breeze plays through your hair. The food is excellent, as is the service and atmosphere.

We ordered fried cod with fries and salad and tomato soup with meatballs. The fish was delicious, well seasoned and juicy, the sauces were good, the fries were also good, and I didn't really like the salad. It is worth noting that it was a very large portion. Worth the price. Delicious soup served with a piece of bread. Very nice and fast service. We got our food after 15 minutes. I recommend!

Toen ik even saus aan het halen was werd mijn tafel afgeruimd: weg biertje. Totale schade: 23 euro. Eens maar nooit weer. En ik altijd denken dat Simonis garant staat voor kwaliteit. Niet dus. Jammer.

We are from Limburg and had dinner here today based on reviews. There was quite a group of us because we came here with family from far away to eat with the children. The food was average in my opinion. Only the service is not what you would expect from a good review resto. We sat on the terrace in the warm weather, and suddenly one of the parasols was cleared away because the wind would blow hard and the parasols could break. But the strange thing is, only on our side the parasols were cleared away. While on the other side of the terrace the parasols were still open. We didn't think about it any longer. Not much later we were asked to sit inside. Suddenly the wind started blowing really hard. We continued eating inside and decided to pay. After payment there was a downpour so we couldn't go and we stayed put. Then someone from the kitchen told us that we had to order something and that we were not allowed to just sit here. We calmly explained that we had already eaten here and wanted to leave but had to wait a while due to the downpour. But this employee insisted that we order something, even though we had already paid. That we hear something like this as a customer who has just paid there. Too crazy for words! Furthermore, we would understand that when there are customers we have to move. But at that time there were plenty of spots and no customers waiting for a spot. That there is a tone "you have to order something otherwise we are not allowed to stay." This employee is very unreasonable and very unfriendly! This is our review and bad experience here unfortunately.

Delicious fresh mussels and herring

Had a delicious gourmet meal before a performance in the Afas circus theater. The staff was very friendly.

The food is very good, the portions are sufficient, the service is very fast. The location is already magnificent and the atmosphere is comfortable. All the waiters were very friendly and child friendly. There are children's menus for children on the menu. Beer selection is sufficient. We found it quite successful in terms of price performance. Both our children and we were very pleased with what we ate. I would definitely recommend Simonis Ann Zee.

When I saw the fries from other customers shortly afterwards, I knew for sure: we were getting 'old' fries. Es ist leider nicht das was es einmal war. Jetzt sieht aus und leider auch so schmeckt als würde es in einer Fabrik produziert. Die Soßen sehen unappetitlich aus. Irgend eine Masse auf das Plastikbehälter geklatscht. Es gibt viele bessere Plätze in der Stadt, wo man besseren Fish and Chips essen kann. Nach einer Mahlzeit bei Simonis bekommst du nur Sodbrennen (im besten Fall).

Unfortunately we cannot give a good rating for the service here. The conditions at the checkout were subpar. Not only did it make you feel bad about even placing an order. Due to the language barrier, no effort was made. English should be sufficient in this area. A little advice would have been nice. It was only when a second saleswoman got involved that we received decent, understandable and polite advice. Now we could order what we wanted. This is the only reason why we gave it a second star. Otherwise it would have been just one star. The food is OK. The prices okay. You can look into the kitchen, which I personally find very nice.

You can't get past Simonis at the pier. The “snack bar” is huge and employs a huge stable of people and there is always a lot going on here. The prices are good and you get really big portions. It all works great, especially with several people and for sharing, and by the way: it tastes really good! Great fish, good fries, really tasty. And: it's often really dirty, loud, and hectic here... you have to be able to tune it out or take it with you and eat on the beach ;-)

Food great, service FLOP!!! We stayed at Simonis aan Zee today after a wonderful day in Scheveningen. Unfortunately, our service will probably never be forgotten. She completely ignored us both before taking the order and at the end before paying. I don't know whether it was because I waved the menu after about 30 minutes or whether it was because she immediately served guests who had arrived much later but not us. Even after other waitresses pointed us out, we were referred to our responsible waitress. It doesn't matter to me whether someone comes from Asia or somewhere else. I just want to be served normally. Nowadays a service worker lives from tips, so I didn't understand this behavior at all. Even waiting guests couldn't get into our seats because we hadn't paid yet. After we simply stood up to draw attention to ourselves, they continued to ignore us. We were only able to pay after we confronted a colleague about the fact that it had just been our last minute in the restaurant and either they would manage to cash in on us or we would go home like that. Such simply cheeky, unfriendly, ignorant staff should simply look for a job that they enjoy more, but they shouldn't actually work in a restaurant. It's a shame, because the food was very expensive but also really tasty. A large portion of kibbeling with fries and salad including 3 sauces plus mayo for €19.50. We were charged €4.25 for a small coke. I would visit the restaurant again but not if we were served by the same person.

I don't know which inexperienced Veled-i Zina Dutch boy of just 16.5 years old they placed there at the rightmost cash register, but it took forever before he was ready while the left row went like clockwork. Super slow and touches the herring with his bare hands without you knowing where he has put his hands. Very tasty food at fair prices. The children's menus are exactly the right portions, with a Capri Sun and a delicious ice cream. The Chinese shrimp menu is also recommended. Child friendly and the service is good too. The view is great, you have a beautiful view of the sea.

Oh dear, oh dear, we have been visiting Simonis aan zee for over ten years, and this weekend we had the worst dining experience imaginable, rotten mussels served up as if they were fresh. A shining silver pot of mussels, smelling putrid, and half of them not opened up. Inexcusable for any restaurant, let alone one which specializes in seafood,

Wat een enorme teleurstelling: een zaak die ontzettend slecht klaar gemaakte vis serveert. De gebakken scholfilets bleken scholletjes te zijn zonder kop, die in hun geheel in de frituur gebakken zijn. Ze waren door de hitte helemaal opgekruld. Was het nu nog lekker, dan had dat niet uitgemaakt maar och, och, wat een misser was ook dat: alles smaakte naar oude frituur. Dat je een mooi visje zo durft te serveren, zegt wel iets over deze zaak. Dan weet je als klant ook: klagen heeft geen zin, ze zijn hier duidelijk de weg kwijt. Voorts: frisdranken zijn zeer prijzig, de prijzen van het eten zoals op de borden buiten staan vermeld zijn lager dan wat je er binnen voor afrekent. Advies: vermijden.

When we go to Scheveningen we have a tradition of having a delicious meal here. The tastiest fried shrimp are here. It's a shame that these are not included in the menu by default. Sometimes yes, other times not. While we come to eat especially for that, it is often a disappointment when they are suddenly not on the menu. Often there is also a shortage of staff, so they refuse you even though there are enough tables available, but then they simply refuse you. And they don't help you.

We had a delicious meal, the mussels and kibbeling were delicious. It's a pity that the interior has no atmosphere at all. The sandwich was served at the same time as our main course, there was no time in between. Staff was friendly and rushed, but we had 6 different people at the table in 2 hours Forgot cutlery with the main course Ridiculous that as a paying guest you also have to pay for the toilet. Other beach tents have arranged this better.

We had a delicious meal here. All 3 children had a children's menu with drinks, fries, frikandel, mayonnaise, ketchup, apple sauce and an ice cream for €10. I had a gourmet one myself, nice and big and tasted delicious. It also came with fries. My husband had a pan of mussels with fries. That was also neat, plenty of it and delicious. We will definitely come back here again.

Today I had dinner with a group of friends at Simonis in Scheveningen. Although the food was delicious and the atmosphere pleasant, there were some negatives that negatively affected our experience. A major disadvantage was that it was not possible to receive a receipt when paying in cash. This caused quite a bit of inconvenience, as we wanted to have an overview of our expenses. For a restaurant of this caliber it is surprising that they are unable to issue a receipt for cash payments. In addition, one of the waitresses, a woman with blond hair in a ponytail, was unfortunately unfriendly and very short. Her attitude made us uncomfortable and it seemed like she had no patience for our questions. This is a shame, because friendly and helpful service can make a world of difference in the restaurant experience. All in all, the food was good, but the service and ease of payment left much to be desired. Hopefully these points can be improved in the future.

I ordered the fried plaice dish. The fish was covered in a thick layer of batter, the fat dripping off. I couldn't eat the batter, way too greasy. When I complained about this, I was told that this is how this fish is always fried. Well... I used to live in Scheveningen myself, and baked plaice must look a little different than what Simonis makes! Do better, Simonis!

Can't understand all the 4 to 5 star reviews. The food was really bad. Only ready-made sauces, some of the fries were raw and not seasoned, the fried fish (Kibbeling) was definitely warmed up in ancient oil and the lobster soup went straight back (disaster), but in the end we had to pay for it anyway. The waiter said they ordered it so they had to pay for the soup too. For the children there was kibbeling with fries from a cardboard box (very tasty). And the whole thing for just under 100€ 🤣 (ridiculous) In any case, they'll never see us again...

So we can't say anything positive about the restaurant because the food was ready-made, didn't taste good and was way too expensive. Sauces were packaged and placed on plates and children received their food in cardboard boxes. It has to be said that the neighboring restaurants all have better taste and ambience, so the location is not an argument here. I returned my lobster bisque after trying two spoonfuls and it was a taste disaster. Nevertheless, the waiter added the soup (€11) to the bill and when paying it was claimed that the soup had not been charged. After discussion, my money was refunded, but the food was basically really bad and only tasted like fat and processed products. After today's visit, I definitely can't understand the positive reviews here.

Schrimp war sehr lecker! Shrimp tempura was new and delicious. I ate it without any expectations and it was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. Great for snacks!! Even as a beer snack!

We had a delicious meal on the beach at Simones on the last day of the season. A gourmand walked over to the plate. I really enjoyed the salmon with lobster sauce with a bottle of white wine.

Nous sommes allés début septembre et avons été charmé par la qualitée du service et de notre repas de moules que ns avons partagé à deux. Elles étaient tout simplement délicieuses et très goûteuses. Nous avons demandé à notre serveur que notre bouteille de vin rouge soit mise dans un sceau à glaces car il était trop chaud pour être dégusté etle serveur s'est empressé de répondre à notre besoin. Wir fanden das Essen unterdurchschnittlich bis schlecht. Der Preis für diese Qualität war übertrieben hoch. Zum Glück gibt es am Strand einige andere Orte, die günstiger und leckerer sind.

Zoals wel eens gebeurt, kan ik hier preken voor banken en stoelen, maar de bezoekers van scheveningen verdienen mijn ervaring. Simonis aan zee is, om het lyrisch uit te drukken, mijn joie de vivre. Ieder maal dat ik hier ben geweest is zijn mij de beste, en niets dat de beste, zeevruchten voorgeschoteld. Gepaard met deze fruit de mer kreeg ik een saus waar je U tegen zegt.
