Sing King Ling in Wijk 01 Sneek

The air smelled of soy and old memories. We have been regulars here for years, but the last few times have been a huge disappointment. My wife—true to her rituals—ordered another three kilos of noodles. “It fills the soul,” she said, inhaling the steam above the plastic containers like incense. But what we got was bland and uninspired. The vegetables seemed forgotten, the meat was scarce, and the taste… it had gotten lost somewhere between the frying oil and the sambal pot. On the way, I hummed “Just give me nasi goreng with a fried egg” (Wieteke van Dort), but the plate told a different story. No spiciness, no fire. More of an echo of what it once was. The reviews here don't lie: what used to be a feast is now often a disappointment. And yet, there is something melancholic about this kind of Chinese restaurant. You can taste the history of generations of families who celebrated their birthdays here, picked up their spring rolls after a long workday, and drank their first beers at the takeaway. That sentiment saves the place from one star. 📍 Conclusion: For the price and quantity, you are still well-served, but those coming for taste and experience need to adjust their expectations. Els did still dance onto the parking lot with her containers of bami, but I mostly felt nostalgic for how it used to taste.

The food wasn't good, and that's been happening more and more lately. Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. A big disappointment.

Sadly, it's closed down. The quality is good. If you pick up your own food, you have to be incredibly patient. I think it takes about 20 minutes on average. Today, I had to wait 45 minutes for a small tjap tjoy with nasi brrr. Not fun.

Normally 5 stars for Sing King Ling. But since there is a new owner, some disappointing changes have been made. For example, the satay sauce suddenly became spicy, which is a shame.

Ordered a monthly menu, stating that it would be delivered to my home address. They were standing right outside the store. I received a call, and a man with poor Dutch couldn't understand what I was saying. So I drove to the store to pick up the food. The nasi was more like rice, pangang, and very little. The pork belly smelled out of the container. The smell almost threw me up when I opened it. I called and told them it was terrible. After years of being a Singkingling customer, I'm now looking for another Chinese restaurant.

Always good but tonight I got 1 cup of satay sauce and prawn crackers total €12.20 that is half of a menu for two people now we also like to eat something different and freshly prepared at home but with good satay and good prawn crackers but for €12.20 this is a significant price shame on you sing king ling this is what I call ripping off

€50 no. 202 Peking duck limp duck not crispy as requested, 21.80 -no. 7 wantan soup, 4 balls no taste broth 6.90 no. 81-foe yong hai chicken €15.00 only egg no chicken and finally no. 13 chicken spring roll €6.50 only egg 2 small pieces of chicken, super bad for more than €50 oh yes bowl of rice small, bowl of bami nice and dry and still ask for 2 plastic bags €1.00 definitely a 4 greetings

Very decent food, I can't say anything negative. Waiters friendly and attentive. We were the only guests that evening, so the atmosphere was rather modest. The restaurant is not the culinary discovery of the decade, but it definitely deserves more than just 4 stars. For that reason and taking into account the price-performance ratio, I give it five stars.

Ordered from the new owners for the first time and what a fiasco, food arrived much too late, food was cold, watery and not the taste we were used to from the previous owners. Pity!!

Different than we are used to. Really not nice. Literally everything tastes different. Both the meat and the sauce. The meat is small and very soft, tastes ready-made. The tomato soup is decent but the chicken pieces in it are like a bite of snot. Loyal customer for all those years. Are we going to consider getting Chinese somewhere else? This really was the tastiest Chinese in Sneek. But what I had on my plate tonight was far from tasty.

We have been ordering food from Sing King Ling for years. New owners, we are very disappointed... cooked too long(?). sauce too thin, overall bland bite, dishes that looked/tasted nothing like before... The whole bubs were thrown straight into the container, bah bah bah

Top restaurant. The fireworks are especially fantastic. (Old situation 5 stars) New situation: Our top striker had made a fantastic reservation for the Sing King Ling in the hope that it would be as good as the previous owner. Unfortunately they had processed the reservation incorrectly. Delivery was on time, unfortunately the bapi pangang was not to my liking (my former favorite). Beef was fine by the way. We hope for another chance. For the time being, we place orders with our neighbor at New Asia

If you are looking for the typical atmosphere of a 80s or 90s Dutch-Chinese Restaurant, this is the place to be. Mediocre food at high prices, disorganized waiters, in the past they played at least Chinese cliche music in these kind of restaurants.

I won the September monthly menu for 2 people. With small spring rolls and 2 skewers of satay with peanut sauce, scha siew with sauce and tjap tjoy and babi pangang with nasi. As we are used to, the portions are large. And it tastes excellent again. Thank you sing King ling for the delicious food.

Actually, I'm not the kind of person who gives bad reviews. But if you pay almost 30 euros for a buffet then at least everything has to be there. Don't just walk around and stir the noise. Also refill it! Do you also have. Exactly 8 calamari. With 8 people who were there. Counted. The wardrobe is full of barrels. It's your own fault whoever goes.

We always order here, but lately we have found it different than usual. Ordered half a chicken nowadays consists of 2 small pieces of chicken chop. Nasi was not tasty, it was soggy and the babi pangang has also been better and I think it is a shame if you never call. you can never be right, you can also read that in the responses, for example that there is no meat or vegetables in the noodles, the answer is not included. How do you think, as a loyal customer I will try another Chinese restaurant from now on

We have been ordering Chinese food for years and having it delivered to our home. Often the monthly menu. Always friendly on the phone and delivered at the agreed time. Quality of the food is always excellent. Delicious even. So definitely recommended and very satisfied.

A delicious Sunday meal. More than enough and delicious!

We were always very satisfied with this restaurant, but that has changed drastically after the last two times. As can be seen in the photo, the cook seems to have forgotten something in the noodles. It seems like there is a new chef, as the dishes have little to no flavor and little to no vegetables and meat are used. Ordered soup last time, unfortunately the taste was very substandard. We are not used to this from this restaurant.

Unfortunately, you are required to order delivery for at least €30 excluding delivery costs. This means that you have to order too much. I have no problem with delivery costs, but having to order food to throw away goes too far.

These lovely people made my evening wonderful. I received a nice welcome and accidentally received 11 when I ordered 10 mini spring rolls (which were great). Also helped a lot with the sauce. Been coming here for over 7 years now, can be described in 2 words: top restaurant!

We have had good experience with sing king ling so far. I said so far. The food we had now received was tasteless, the meat was hard and chewy, really a shame. Maybe a different chef? Overall disappointing!

Wanted to order food by phone twice on Saturday and Sunday, got a lady on the phone and then talked to customers around her, just a moment yes, I want to eat too, so I put the phone down twice. So can't even take an order by phone. That's just my luck. But towards another Chinese hahaha, these people have such communication problems

Sing King Ling is the first Asian restaurant I ever visited. That was about 40 years ago now. And I'm still excited. When I'm in the Netherlands I have to go to Sneek because of Sing King Ling. The service is Asian-friendly as usual, but the food there is the "tastiest" there is, perhaps because this selection is not commonplace in Germany.

The lunch menu is very reduced and the selection is not nearly as good as the evening menu. The food itself was quite good, the service was friendly.

I thought the food was very tasty but I would also eat sushi there, which wasn't available today. I thought the waitress was very nice, she was always standing there, she did a lot and also talked to us. I think it would be nice if the dough were thicker when baking bananas. The sweet and sour sauce is very tasty. But I have never eaten such good spring rolls. The ice cream was more delicious than others. There wasn't as much choice but it is and remains a good restaurant. But there was enough there. I found the staff very nice and those at the counter were nice too. But I've never seen such good staff. I also found it well furnished. But the tomato soup was too sweet. Otherwise I thought everything was good. LG Luis

Order placed at 5:05 PM and it was supposed to arrive at 6:05 PM, but still no food at 6:30 PM. Called when the food was coming, it would be there in a few moments. After this, the restaurant called, they said they had a problem so they had not received the order. Don't order online again, pick up next time... furthermore they did not provide any service to compensate. They're already an hour late!

Had nasi last week that was not fresh and cold. The babi panggang and daging smoor and chicken curry were also cold and not fresh, I was sick for 2 days because of it!! The only thing good was the mini spring rolls.

Tasty Chinese. Good for takeaway. They have a delicious buffet from Thursday evening to Sunday evening. Recommended!

We had a Chinese Indian rice table. Started with Chinese tomato soup...that was disappointing (actually just tomato puree with applesauce mixed in. Otherwise barely filling)...BUT what came next was, to my great surprise, really good. Especially the babi panggang, but basically everything. Bami was also tasty... if the tomato soup had not been so mediocre it would have been five stars.

Visited during the Culinary 11-city tour. Also has tasty snacks during the summer/winter editions of 'Lekker Sneek'.

Tried here once due to a negative experience with a competitor. Since then I always order my food here. Quality food and fresh ingredients.

We had lunch on the restaurant terrace. The service was lovely. Menus are available in different languages. The selection is gigantic. How should you decide? Starter: spring roll Main course: Breaded sweet and sour pork The portion was huge and impossible to manage. The spring roll alone would have been enough. Everything was very, very tasty. We were able to easily take the leftovers with us and eat them the next day. However, the food isn't very cheap either. However, such prices are apparently normal in the Netherlands. Definitely too expensive for German standards.
