Amazing food! I had a delicious poached egg on toast with bacon, discovered they actually served two toasts for those 9 euros. Coffee is great too.

That fresh butter cake with coffee is great

The specialty flat white coffee is delicious and perfect + the classic pancakes with syrup + butter are perfect. They have lactose-free milk options. I ordered almond milk.

Good food, waitresses were friendly. The male waiter/bartender responded very curtly, very unusual.

A STRANGE taste palette. They had unique combinations of ingredients, which we didn't really like. We had the French toast and the Poppy pancakes. French toast: The French toast was very sweet, but luckily I like that. The pistachio didn't really taste like pistachio, but the other ingredients were a good combination. The bread itself was too hard and too thick, it wasn't French. The bun was like an island in the sea, with the Elderflower as the sea. At first I thought that was a bit strange, but in the end it was okay. Unfortunately, it won't be repeated. Poppy pancakes: The pancakes were on the sour side, which I didn't expect. I think it would be a good adjustment to swap the basil with something sweet. I didn't really get the crumble myself. The portion was certainly sufficient, on the tasty side but lacked sweetness. Crushed strawberry matcha bomb: I think the strawberries were dried and frozen which made the taste less tasty. The matcha itself was tasty, but the drink was very bitter. I added 5 teaspoons of brown sugar myself, I had no other options for other sugar. Then it was drinkable. Overall, it was a culinary challenge. I think this place would appeal to people who are looking for unique flavors and are not into sweets.

We had the luck to find a table outside but we waited for two iced lattes quite long, and while they bring them we started doubting if really one of them is decaf as ordered and oat milk as ordered. In general the food on the other tables looked very well and drinks too, just I believe we were a bit unfortunate.

Been to sip first almost 15 times now. Never had a bad experience. Food is always tasty, service is fantastic, atmosphere is lively. Have recommended, and successfully sent friends there on a few occasions, all of which had good things to say. If sip first continues to deliver this quality, I will continue to spend my money here.

You were not really received with a warm welcome or looked after. We therefore left the restaurant.

Very cozy atmosphere, good advice about coffee. We were extensively informed about each type of bean and what it does to the taste. Pancakes are delicious! Lemmon pancakes are really worth it.

Second time going here and I always know i’m gonna eat good food. Their menu changes every couple of months but it is always so creative, yet nourishing and yummy. Another plus point is that they actually serve great matcha, it’s not milky or cheaply made. I love this place!

Nice tent, we were helped very friendly upon arrival. However, the cappuccino we got was lukewarm. Not warm, but really too cold. Can happen. But if we point this out to the lady behind the bar and she snaps back without even 'testing' or even offering an apology, then you really reveal yourself. Then make a comment to your colleagues that you're done with it and disappear into the kitchen...gosh. It wasn't that bad after all. Colleague later politely asked if he was better now, dear! But we found the reaction of the other employee really unprofessional. Shame.

Nice place to eat. The food is ok and has a lot of variety. We had to repeat 3 times if they could bring us water because they forgot. The place was packed anyway, so it's understandable.

You enter a cozy and warm restaurant with beautiful art on the wall. Excellent menu with tasty drinks and breakfast/lunch. A big plus is the complimentary bottle of water. I ordered a chai with oat milk and a croissant, both tasted great! Sip first will definitely get another visit from me :)

Nice place to have breakfast or lunch. Extensive coffee menu and original dishes. However, Aeropress was disappointing. And the batch brew was actually substandard for a specialty bar. I think it would be better to remove a number of options (chemex, Aeropress) from the menu and focus on espresso and batch. Less is more.

The food here looks absolutely fantastic—a real feast for the eyes! The plates are beautifully presented, but unfortunately my girlfriend and I found the taste a little less special. Tasty, sure, but not that 'wow' feeling we were hoping for. The inside of the restaurant is somewhat small and often well stocked, but that does contribute to the cozy atmosphere. The service was also excellent; friendly and attentive staff. All in all a nice experience, especially if you enjoy food visually, but for us the taste could be a little more exciting!

Great place, the food is exquisite, although there aren't that many options, the ones listed on the menu are more than enough. The atmosphere is okeish, and the staff was friendly. Coffee is also good. I had the Tuna Melt and it was for sure a different flavour. Reasonable priced.

The website stated that the kitchen was open in the morning. Unfortunately not the case today.

Our most favorite place in Breda for breakfast. The most delicious toast with eggs and avocado we have ever eaten. We have come back to eat it 4 times now and we can't get enough of it. Butter coffee cookies are also delicious! It's hard to find a free seat, we haven't sat inside yet

A very cute place to drink your coffee while sitting by the street. Inside is bigger than you think and they have a variety of options for lunch.

They have the best Chai and Matcha latte in Breda here. The scrambled eggs with smashed avocado toast is also to die for. Recommended!

My newly wedded hubby introduced me to his fav coffee shop in Breda city, while meeting up with friends too. The coffee shop is small and cozy, and when full, it gives off a very social vibe! People also brought in their doggies which got a water bowl if they got thirsty. Our coffee was absolutely delish and was way too little so we had to order more. The brunch we had was their french toast with ricotta, bacon and black cherries. And oh my greatness! I savoured every bite! When given the choice to have bacon or the other sweet option, definitely go for the crispy bacon, the cherries can get overly sweet. All and all the experience is a must recommend!

Excellent coffee in a nice coffee shop. The range is very wide and in addition to coffee you can also enjoy a tasty lunch. Products are offered very actively, perhaps a little less, otherwise definitely 5 stars for service. Highly recommended!

Toasted brioche with Mushrooms was outstanding! Went with a 8m old baby during peak hour and the staff was super kind and accommodating, despite our little one making a total mess. Other dishes looked amazing too.

I have been coming to Sip first for years, sometimes just for a delicious coffee (often with something tasty) and other times for the extensive version with lunch. Whether you fancy something recognizable or something completely surprising on your plate... the kitchen is truly delicious. When you read the dishes on the menu, you actually have no idea what you are ordering, but it tastes fantastic every time! Top place, both in terms of the look and feel of the business and the excellent service and beautiful food and drinks. Keep it up like this!

A very nice little eatery with delicious food and friendly staff! The only thing I never understand is when the menu is only in English in the Netherlands. Then make it a combination!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Had the English breakfast, and it was fantastic. Definitely one off the best I've ever eaten, the kitchen was evidently using high quality ingredients and slight flavour variations (very positive) from a "classic" English breakfast.

Heeel apart, ik bestelde een biertje o.b.v. een leeg blikje op tafel, en ik kreeg (inderdaad) precies dezelfde, maar die had een ander alcoholpercentage!? 🤭 Erg amusante situatie hoe we daar gezamenlijk achter kwamen.

Not inexpensive but the menu has some very creative items, and the two that we chose were delicious. I'm not usually that keen on rice pudding but this one was light, moist and really exciting with coconut milk, rhubarb, ginger and dates. The moccha buttermilk pancakes topped with warm lemon curd were also light and fluffy - just perfect.

Bekend plekje in Breda. Altijd een bomvol terras, waar je echt op tijd bij moet zijn op een plekje te bemachtigen. Maar ik begrijp nu waarom. Wat een kwaliteit! Geen heel uitgebreide kaart, maar wat erop staat is echt ontzettend goed. Daarnaast ook een hele toffe drankkaart met zelfgemaakte ijstheetjes en limonades en een hoop verschillende soorten koffie en thee. Aanrader!

Great cozy cafe located on a nice narrow street in the centrum. The menu has infinite options and the servers are really helpful in giving details about the taste. Another plus is at this place is that when seated, you receive a large bottle of water on the house. Definitely check this place out on a sunny day!

Heel gezellig terrasje, mooie zaak en super lekkere koffie. Eten was zeker niet slecht maar tov de presentatie was de smaak underwhelming.

1 year ago I ordered the banana pancakes (vegan/gluten free) and they were amazing! Different ingredients, fruits, good flavors. Fantastic! At 15 euros not cheap, but worth it. Half year later I returned for the same pancakes and found it the recipe had changed and it didn't taste the same as before. Still good enough, but 15 euros was perhaps a bit too much. Then a few weeks ago I visited again, to find out they changed the recipe once more and this time it's just an ordinary pancake with only sweet flavors. All components are sweet. No special flavors. And this time 15 euros is way too much. I gave my feedback in the restaurant and hopefully they will change it back to the way it was 1 year ago.

I liked the idea ‘tea with a timer’ i’m not big fan of Green tea or Waite tea but new concept.

Tasty food generous portions nice atmosphere

Lekker maar niet iedereen is vriendelijk. Noteren niets tijdens het bestellen, maken fouten, en ‘hebben geen tijd’ om rekening te houden met ernstige allergieën. Bestelling van brood, ei en spek was 3(!) keer foutief en uiteindelijk passief agressief gedrag van de kok. Jammer, hopelijk lezen ze dit en krijgen ze meer plezier in hun job en terug passie om de klant te helpen.

I have travelled far and I am a cook myself, jet I havent eperienced anything like it. I just went with the waitress recommendation and I cant find words to describe the meal I got.
