Great, fun spot for a good cup of coffee with tasty cake. Great for lunch. I walked the street next door for years and overlooked this one. Nice artistic murals on the wall. We will definitely be back here.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! What a cozy place to quietly enjoy a delicious breakfast. The toast with fried egg, tomatoes, and avocado was so tasty that we came back the next day. The delicious coffee topped it all off. The owner and staff enjoy their work and it shows. The atmosphere is relaxed, even when fully booked, and there is time for a friendly chat. We will definitely be back!!

A very nice small Bistro in Breda downtown. Nicly presented food and drinks. The location is in small street not far from Grote Markt. Prices are ok. I had Falafel, which were very good with nice springherbs and lemontaste. A clear positive mark from my side. Staff speaks good English.

We had the Cubano or something similar. The food was incredibly delicious! In addition, the staff were very friendly and helpful; they go the extra mile, so we are very satisfied and definitely recommend it!!

We had another lovely breakfast at Sip First. This time we went for the "Turkish Eggs Delight," which consists of two poached eggs on confit garlic labneh, leppo butter, fermented green chili sauce, crispy chickpeas with dill, and toasted sourdough bread. It turned out to be a tasty concoction that was perfect for scooping up with the crunchy sourdough bread. The chili sauce had a nice kick to it, and the labneh provided the necessary freshness. Delicious! Of course, we also enjoyed the delicious coffees, including a naked espresso. The selection here is huge!

Very lovely for a lovely chill warm breakfast near Breda Centrum , I really enjoyed it ! Very fast service and recommendation in a rainy day . Many coffee shops should have workers like Emily working because she really helped me throughout my whole order and ate !

10/10 We went here for breakfast this morning to wrap up the week with our friends from the UK. Everything was perfect. The staff is knowledgeable, sweet, and chill. The coffee was delicious and beautiful. The food was a delight. Everything arrived at the same time and all 6 of us were more than satisfied! Chill vibe, really good living room atmosphere. Nice plants and wall painting. The toilet was spotless. Really couldn't ask for better. 😘👌

Probably one of the best breakfasts we've had at a coffee shop. They have some interesting options in terms of food and coffee beans. The coffee was made really well and the food was fresh, well-portioned, and really good. Will gladly go back and easily recommend this place to anyone.

Coffee is good Food is terrible. The French toast is the worst I had. So sweet, flavourless. It cost 17euro, just took three bites. Cannot do more. Service is cold. One waitress is sick, coughing and sneezing while making my coffee 🤒 I switched to another place to recover from this bad experience.

My reviews are rare, but if something positively surprises me or makes me especially happy, I'm happy to make an effort to write one. One of the few places that also has a good selection for tea drinkers (for the tea drinkers among us, the photo speaks for itself). The pancakes were delicious—not dry and not too sweet. The Turkish eggs were delicious, albeit with a unique twist. All in all, definitely recommended if you're in (near) Breda.

Hipsters food! looks great! Taste great! Not an ordinary dishes (far from that). Drinks are good and tasty! A real value for money (and it is not cheap comparing to a Dutch lunch restaurant)! Go enjoy! Let your taste buds taste a real good food!

It's often busy here on weekends, so you'll need to be lucky to find a spot. Recently, I lucked out at this pleasantly bustling coffee bar, where I enjoyed a fantastic English breakfast. Naturally, it came with a very good cup of coffee. Sitting at the long table by the window offered a lovely view of the historic street in Breda's city center. PS: The slice of butter cake with the coffee is definitely worth mentioning. Six stars!

Absolute recommendation ! The service was absolutely friendly and fast. we got our breakfast and coffee within 5-20 minutes. The food was very delicious, the pancakes were perfect, but the toppings were a bit too sweet for our taste. The coffee was very good and overall it was a 10/10 experience.

We went here for lunch and the place was packed! As soon as we got our drinks and food I understood why. Absolutely delicious avo smash toast and super smooth pork brioche. The service was great and the vibe was cozy. The food was a bit on the pricey side tho.

The service was terrible. That's why I won't be coming back. They treat you strangely. You have to wait a long time to order. You have to wait a long time for your order. When you finally get your order, they practically smash it on the table.

Absolutely amazing! The breakfast was taken to a very high level, and he added some really cool ingredients! You couldn't do this unless you were a really good cook. He added pumpkin to the dish, which was truly amazing. Highly recommended!

A friend and I had a great mitraillette here; tender meat, excellent sauce, grass-fed fries, and a slightly salty seasoning. The iced latte was also delicious. The staff is friendly and cheerful, the restaurant is nicely decorated, and it's in a beautiful building.

I was there a few days ago. I waited 15 minutes for my order to be taken and almost twice as long for it to be fulfilled. I only ordered one coffee. There weren't many people there. There were four staff members. The only good thing I can say is that the coffee tasted good. But the service time was below par.

This is one of the best places to have breakfast/brunch/lunch in Breda. Starting with the coffee and tea, they have plenty of options with different types of milks. And the food, the food is extraordinary, I have tried the English Breakfast, the pancakes and the pastrami and all of them are 10/10. Definitely one of my go to places in Breda. And the staff is super friendly and kind, they helped us accommodate our grandparents and uncles to be comfortable enough.

Great matcha latte with oat milk! Dank u wel 😊 Today I returned and had the orange wine.. SOOO GOOD.. and the baked feta, date dish with sour dough toast. Really well done. I just wish there was a bit more cheese in the dish but it was very tasty.

We were on our way back from Roermond to Rotterdam and decided to stop in Breda for a late lunch. We were fortunate to get a table here and were curious to see if the cafe was as good as the reviews here on Google. The great vibe of the place can be felt from the moment one walks in. The decor is very nice and I particularly liked the huge painting on the wail. Service was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious. I opted for the dates with goat cheese which was yumm. My husband decided for the french toast. We both had the homemade lemonade with thyme which was very refreshing. Loved the atmosphere and will definitely drop in again when in the neighborhood

Unfortunately the banana bread I had was not baked well, it was almost raw. Coffee was good but for the quality I found it a bit overpriced. The staff is really nice and helpful. The atmosphere is cool.

Just one word - amazing. All of us were super exhausted after Awakenings and wanted a nice brunch and this place exactly delivered that. We were a bunch of four people - their sour dough bread with eggs was very nice, with some matcha latte and the highlight was the pancake. Usually I am not impressed with pancakes but it was so refreshing and fluffy. The staff were super nice and hospitable. If you’re around highly recommend giving it a try ❣️

What a discovery! We have been here before for a delicious cappuccino – of course it is still recommended. We also knew the lunch was great, so expectations were certainly there. But hello! The dinner really blew us away. The 4-course menu was a bull's eye: surprising flavour combinations that were perfectly balanced. No stress about making a choice, just lean back and enjoy. Everything is just right. The service is attentive and relaxed, exactly as you want it. I don't say it often, but this is seriously approaching perfection.

We had a particularly delicious meal, were welcomed by very friendly staff and were able to sit outside very nicely. We are enthusiastic!

The specialty flat white coffee is delicious and perfect + the classic pancakes with syrup + butter are perfect. They have lactose-free milk options. I ordered almond milk.

A STRANGE taste palette. They had unique combinations of ingredients, which we didn't really like. We had the French toast and the Poppy pancakes. French toast: The French toast was very sweet, but luckily I like that. The pistachio didn't really taste like pistachio, but the other ingredients were a good combination. The bread itself was too hard and too thick, it wasn't French. The bun was like an island in the sea, with the Elderflower as the sea. At first I thought that was a bit strange, but in the end it was okay. Unfortunately, it won't be repeated. Poppy pancakes: The pancakes were on the sour side, which I didn't expect. I think it would be a good adjustment to swap the basil with something sweet. I didn't really get the crumble myself. The portion was certainly sufficient, on the tasty side but lacked sweetness. Crushed strawberry matcha bomb: I think the strawberries were dried and frozen which made the taste less tasty. The matcha itself was tasty, but the drink was very bitter. I added 5 teaspoons of brown sugar myself, I had no other options for other sugar. Then it was drinkable. Overall, it was a culinary challenge. I think this place would appeal to people who are looking for unique flavors and are not into sweets.

We had the luck to find a table outside but we waited for two iced lattes quite long, and while they bring them we started doubting if really one of them is decaf as ordered and oat milk as ordered. In general the food on the other tables looked very well and drinks too, just I believe we were a bit unfortunate.

Been to sip first almost 15 times now. Never had a bad experience. Food is always tasty, service is fantastic, atmosphere is lively. Have recommended, and successfully sent friends there on a few occasions, all of which had good things to say. If sip first continues to deliver this quality, I will continue to spend my money here.

You were not really received with a warm welcome or looked after. We therefore left the restaurant.

Second time going here and I always know i’m gonna eat good food. Their menu changes every couple of months but it is always so creative, yet nourishing and yummy. Another plus point is that they actually serve great matcha, it’s not milky or cheaply made. I love this place!

Nice tent, we were helped very friendly upon arrival. However, the cappuccino we got was lukewarm. Not warm, but really too cold. Can happen. But if we point this out to the lady behind the bar and she snaps back without even 'testing' or even offering an apology, then you really reveal yourself. Then make a comment to your colleagues that you're done with it and disappear into the kitchen...gosh. It wasn't that bad after all. Colleague later politely asked if he was better now, dear! But we found the reaction of the other employee really unprofessional. Shame.

You enter a cozy and warm restaurant with beautiful art on the wall. Excellent menu with tasty drinks and breakfast/lunch. A big plus is the complimentary bottle of water. I ordered a chai with oat milk and a croissant, both tasted great! Sip first will definitely get another visit from me :)

Nice place to have breakfast or lunch. Extensive coffee menu and original dishes. However, Aeropress was disappointing. And the batch brew was actually substandard for a specialty bar. I think it would be better to remove a number of options (chemex, Aeropress) from the menu and focus on espresso and batch. Less is more.
