What a lovely place in Spakenburg to enjoy an evening. Super cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a beautiful, relaxed ambiance. The dishes were surprising and clearly of high quality, with great attention to taste and presentation. The wine list is also a real plus, featuring incredibly good wines that pair perfectly with the food. A restaurant where hospitality and quality come together beautifully. Definitely recommended if you love good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a good glass of wine.

We're staying at B&B Bed en B-ootje this weekend, which is how we ended up here. It's a really nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. Good food, and very responsive service that radiated genuine enjoyment of their work. All in all, a fantastic evening!

You can sit here and enjoy a delicious meal together. Or just enjoy a drink—anything goes. The staff is always up for a friendly chat. They're all fantastic.

We ordered a fish trio for lunch. The shrimp croquettes were practically hollow and without any shrimp. We were charged 3 euros for the glass of water with our coffee. Far too expensive for the quality.

The seating was great, the service was friendly and efficient, and I still dream about the dessert platter.

Truly amazing nachos! Truly the best I've ever had. Free parking is available nearby. The only downside was that there was a lot of smoking on the patio around us, but that's probably just Spakenburg.

Serieus zit daar na kofife....niet alleen! Bestellen een fles rosé, redelijk aan de prijs vragen om een karaf water maar dat kan alleen per fles, ook nog wat overige drankjes genomen, nemen nog diverse borrelhapjes en drankjes en tot mijn verbazing bij een glas 'losse wijn' krijg je wel een beetje water!!!!! Verder zijn ze het recept voor extra ijsblokjes ook kwijt ( mop ... wil niet discrimineren ....)..... daar vroegen wij nl. om toen wij de fles wijn plus fles spa blauw moesten bestellen.....na .....nog steeds geen ijs ....maar wel toen ik "ander frisdrankje met ijs bestelde" schiet mij maar lek!!! Hadden ze ineens het recept gevonden...!!!!

Delicious Spakenburg fish sandwich

This is areally typical and excellent Dutch pub restaurant in the historic centre of the town. The Pea and ham soup was exceptional and our only problem was we ordered too much! Well worth a visit.

Had such a delicious lunch there, I couldn't finish it all and they packed it neatly for me so I could take it home, my husband also enjoyed it. The eel was very tasty. The atmosphere was also great and the staff was incredibly friendly despite the fact that they were running their legs off.

Als groep van 6 personen bestelden wij allemaal de vlees etalagere en nog apart rendang friet. Uitstekend van smaak. Flinke tegenvaller was echter de plaats waar we zaten, dicht bij de toiletten en airco. Ondanks het verzoek de airco wat lager te zetten lukte dit niet en/of werd dit niet gehonoreerd en moesten wij ivm de onaangename koude wind allemaal met jas of trui aan tafel zitten. Met name de dame achter de bar (dochter eigenaresse!) viel in negatieve zin op omdat zij op geen enkele manier empathie voor onze klacht over de airco toonde. Erg onaangenaam als je als klant zo onbeschoft wordt behandeld. Toonbeeld van arrogantie en onbenulligheid! Misschien goed als haar moeder eens controleert hoe haar dochter klanten weg jaagt met dit gedrag. Ondanks het goede eten komen wij hier uiteraard nooit meer!

Prima en zeer royale lunch van tonijn, zalm en garnalen. Prettige bediening. Ik kreeg een doggie bag van medewerkster. Echt prima service

Says they are open until 12am but when we went at 9:30 for dinner they said they were no longer serving food. Their hours do not specify the kitchen closing at a certain time like other restaurants have so I'd definitely not recommend as it was a wasted trip.

De dinerkaart geeft een mogelijkheid om af te zien van patat. Dat scheelt geld en maakt het diner minder zwaar. De ober moet lachen als hij mij een spaatje Blaauw aan wilt smeren naast mijn Tirasami Cocktail als dessert. Het eerste glaasje water was zeer bescheiden qua omvang naast mijn wijn. Ik verwacht een groter glas water doch hij komt met een geopend flesje blauw. Ik bedank en maak hem duidelijk dat ik zojuist een 5 sterren beoordeling aan het schrijven was. Dat het nu lager wordt, wordt ook deze goede man duidelijk. Even daarna komt een vrouwelijke collega een toelichting geven. Van het flesje Blaauw zou een Euri gaan naar een goed doel. Mooi verhaal dat ik best wil geloven. Ze is bang dat ik haar score nu omlaag ga brengen. Daarvoor was het eten te goed. En de Tiramisu coctail te aangenaam. Regel is regel, doch geef uw collega de ruimte om af te wijken van uw regel.

Been to Sjik for the first time. We were in the harbor with the boat. Normally we always eat at a different restaurant. But Sjik looked nice and so did the card. Very nice and good service. Owner very nice. Food was good and the concept was clearly explained. Too bad it's come to that for us. But worth repeating.

Very nice service! The only wine we drank here was very good wine, the Pinot Grisio. We will definitely come back here again!

Cozy tent. Had a nice fish sandwich. The shrimp croquettes could have been better. Furthermore, super friendly staff and a nice setting. The patio heating was pleasant. And you can still smoke on the terrace. Super!

No warm welcome, had expecting a shot. Tea was very hot, I don't like it that much, but the cookie was tasty. I just missed some alcohol in my tea. It was not on the menu, but hence the difference in expectations. The tea tasted good but I don't like forest fruits at all and my palate is now a third degree burn. It is very noisy outside, lots of crying children and people talking. This is possible because it is a market, there is nothing you can do about this.. OR provide earplugs to all customers on Saturday so that I can drink my ice-cold tea (which had already been cooling for 30 minutes) in peace. The service could be better, we were looked at strangely when we ordered a jagerbomb and sangria. Oh yes, it was 11:50. Damn, that sangria is undrinkable, what an incredible turn. My companion is having a loose jagerbomb and it is very tasty (I suspect it is due to the high alcohol percentage). The red wine was very watery and wet. The water was fine. What a terrible thing that heater is, I can almost put a factor of 50 on it. The cheesecake tastes like it comes from Porto Doro, it's wrong so I suspect an Egyptian collaboration. We are now an hour further, the macho nachos are okay. I also don't feel like writing any more, what a great place. Great laughs, attentive staff and beautiful food. We will definitely come back more often! Goodbye, bye, toodels, later, see you next week.

We had a shared meat plate: 3 types of super tender meat and more than enough for 2 people. Friendly service, and not entirely unimportant; good music in the background :-)

Best Nachos I’ve ever had. Quality selection of beers.

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel. We waren met een groep met mensen die begeleiding nodig hebben. Terras mochten we schikken naar behoeften van de mensen en ook was het personeel erg geduldig. Toen er op een einde een ongelukje was, dacht het personeel mee in een uiterst vriendelijke oplossing. Chapeau!

Gewoon normaal, relaxt, lekker eten voor de prijs die je ervoor moet betalen.

We sat down in the outside seating area - and were rather officiously told that the table was reserved (no sign of this and nobody ever came). Our order was taken in a slightly off hand way. The coffees were all great and came with a bonus shot which was nice. And suddenly the waitress was charming and wishing us a good day!

Een spontane opwelling voor een lunch Spakenburg eindigde bij Sjik. Een eetgelegenheid waar we hartelijk werden ontvangen, bediend en heerlijk broodje hebben gegeten. Eentje waar we terugkomen, een aanrader!

We hadden allebei een lekker broodje er ontbrak alleen spek in het gerecht, dat was een beetje jammer.

We ate really good and the waiter was nice and helped my friends who doesnt speak any dutch and were visiting me what to choose, what were the typical dutch things... They were really happy! Later I joined and I ate a tasty snert (check the pic!)

Echt een aanrader, zo lekker en leuk om met elkaar verschillende hapjes te proeven / delen.

Gezellig met elkaar op het terras gezeten vanmiddag. Topbediening van Gijs gehad en als we in de buurt zijn komen we zeker nog eens langs!
