First and Foremost their service is impeccable. Staff were warm and friendly when I visited after a workout. Another good point for me is that everything is vegetarian/ vegan, how wonderful for a vegetarian! Food is not that tasty though so I’m not sure if I will be willing to go there again however it’s quite healthy. It is upto the person and their personal preference, healthy food but mediocre taste but good options for vegetarians.

The food is very good, healthy, and leaves you feeling satisfied. The place is very pleasant, and the waitresses are very friendly.

SLA is always a favorite. Unfortunately, this afternoon I was helped by a rather rude woman downstairs on FaceTime, who only came to the counter after asking for coffee three times. The FaceTime conversation didn't stop, by the way... The cappuccino was definitely not worth 3.75, with burnt milk and no foam.

Always good portions. The service is very friendly and I like the concept that you can mix and match and also choose other ingredients even when picking a specific bowl. So far haven’t had a bowl that wasn’t delicious.

Extremely rude service. I asked for a portion of broccoli instead of half an egg in a bowl from the menu, and there were no options. 🤣🤣🤣 Come on, it's a salad bar. The rudeness with which this was presented is simply beyond belief. I've eaten countless salads at Sla and have never experienced such unpleasant service. Such a shame.

Sorry guys, no, that could really be better. The dish I ordered is called a "hot curry bowl." There was nothing hot. The lentil curry came from a warming tray and was lukewarm. The slightly undercooked brown rice and the cauliflower were cold. The only thing that was legitimately cold was the pickled cucumber, which was a bit too sweet for my liking. All in all, the flavors weren't anything to write home about. Besides the cucumber being a bit spicy, the dish was rather bland. I'd recommend looking online to see how a lentil curry can be made delicious with spices. Upstairs, you have a great seat, with a view of the garden. Perhaps the large chestnut tree looks a little less moribund in the summer. As for the "service," there isn't any; it's self-service. You get what you ask for from behind a counter. You have to collect your own cutlery, etc. However, that doesn't change the fact that when you pay, you're asked to choose from several "tip" amounts. A bit weird, isn't it?

The food was initially good, but unfortunately, when we got to the restaurant, the chicken was raw. Unacceptable.

At SLA, we truly had the best soup we've ever had. As lovers and connoisseurs of harira and lentil soup, we can honestly say: this was exceptionally delicious. The salads are wonderfully fresh and packed with surprising flavors. And to top it all off: the sugar-free cakes are highly recommended. Everything is served with a smile – the service is top-notch!

I got insta poisoned after eating a courgette soup with feta cheese there today. I guess one of the ingredients was spoiled 🤮

The food was delicious, but compared to other branches (e.g., Utrecht Voorstraat and Catherijne), the portions were very small. The hummus and sunflower seeds were also missing. That's a shame when you pay over 14 euros. I just had a sandwich at home... (and I'm not a big eater).

Despite a busy evening, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The ordering system is efficient and the line moved fast! Food was tasty and looked amazing. Free water if you dine in, which is appreciated. Plenty of space to sit inside, a few seats outside as well. Upstairs has a toilet!

Great place for healthy lunch. You can customise your own salad bowl if needed. Toilet is clean and free for customers. Wish they had more keto options. I was able to charge my phone until full until I was there too, which is not a given if you didn't bring your charger.

The food is delicious, the pallet of different tastes found in one bowl of salad is amazing. Would definitely recommend this, there is also a loyalty program with which you collect points for every euro spend, by 100 points you get a €7,50 discount on the purchase. The women behind the counter were very friendly, Unfortunately on the time of my visit the place was near empty, so while very relaxing the atmosphere was hard to determine, however the visuals atmosphere makes this a calm establishment. With multiple restaurants around Amsterdam surely i walk in another one sooner rather than later. I tried "The Killer salad" which was spicy 🔥 they use a meat substitute called seitan: What is the meat substitute seitan short explanation Seitan is a high-protein, plant-based meat substitute made primarily from vital wheat gluten, which is the main protein found in wheat. By washing wheat flour dough with water, the starch is removed, leaving behind the elastic, protein-rich gluten, which is then cooked to create a dense, chewy product with a texture similar to meat. Seitan is popular among vegetarians and vegans because of its realistic, meat-like texture and its ability to absorb flavors from seasonings and sauces. It is often used in a variety of dishes as a replacement for chicken, beef, or pork, and is sometimes called “wheat meat” or “wheat gluten” . However, because seitan is made from wheat gluten, it is not suitable for people with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. This business is women owned.

I am specializing in healthy food and it is amazing: SLA is one of the few (or maybe even the only) place(s) that offers 100% healthy meals. That is according to nutritional science. And it is most of all: soooo delicious. If you can not risk health for some reason, this is the place to go. I am a fan! I am sure SLA is making people live longer, I wish more restaurants would care so much about the health of their costumers. The people behind SLA are my hero's.

We ordered Greek gyro salads. I don’t think there are words boring enough to describe how forgettable this salad was. Every ingredient tasted mushy, including the fresh tomato and cucumbers, which were somehow soggy. There was absolutely no flavor in anything - it was like eating gruel from mid century England. Why?! How?! A Greek anything should have notes of acid, crispy veggies, bright colors - this salad was as beige as Gwenneth Paltrow’s living room. I’ve never been quite so depressed after finishing my lunch. Trust me, just go across the street to Mima for a 1000% better value for money. Jesus take the wheel.

Fresh, tasty and well put together veggie/salad bowls. Flat White and a carrot and ginger juice also was had and they were perfect. Will absolutely be returning.

The ingredients are good, but for supposedly healthy food it is definitely too salty. Edit: once again the food was way too salty. Especially the tempeh tamari. I'm pretty sure the amount of salt ending up in a single bowl is enough to label it as unhealthy. Subtracted one star because of this continuing problem

Arrogant girls in the service who can't make good coffee (not even a second time after asking for a new one). Just stick to rabbit food here.

I ordered a salad with falafel, but unfortunately, they did not have any at the time. The salad I chose instead was fresh, large, and really tasty.

The food here is incredibly delicious! I pick up something almost every week and am very happy with the concept. One small tip: it would be nice if the staff seemed a bit friendlier and more hospitable. A smile can really make a big difference!

Unfortunately, the last 3 times I have been to this location I have been told there is a wait of 30+ to be able to order my salad even when there is no one in the store. They prioritize online orders and since this location is on ClassPass, there are always a lot. It's unfortunate because the food is great quality for a quick, healthy meal. The problem is that it is not quick even remotely. Absolutely would not recommend as a quick option.

Just received my kimchi salad via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, I have now experienced several times that not everything is included in my order, but not again! No egg, barely any broccoli and literally 3 (!!!) pieces of tempeh (see photo). I love SLA's salads, but if you are not physically in the store and watch that everything is being put on it, things often go wrong. For €20 I really expected a little more service and accuracy!

Come here about once a week. The food is always super tasty and good, but oh my god, the staff is always so unfriendly and uninterested. If you come at prime time, they are just busy making Uber eats orders and don't look at you or care about you. While the margins are probably a lot lower. 😉 The food is amazing, but you really don't have to come here for the service or atmosphere.

Good tasting food, good sized portions, nice service and great interior but I became a little bit ill after eating the tofu bowl. It might have been because we came in at almost closing time.

10 minutes waiting in line for a wrap and no wraps in the house, better stock up perhaps...

Rude staff, told me 3 times that I was off-putting for 'staring' at my salad being made. Food was okay but not flavourful.

I got food poisoning from the place

The food here was great and there’s a wide range of options. However, when I went in the other day, I had to wait 15 minutes to order and then when I did order, I waited an hour for a banana smoothie which never showed up. I felt sorry for the staff working here as they were clearly run off their feet. One poor staff member was running back and forth from the kitchen to grab ingredients while a queue of people formed running outside the door. The only other staff member working there was clearly new. As I said, I felt sorry for them as I’m not sure whether there were staffing issues and some people had not shown up to work. After waiting an hour for the smoothie, I could not catch the staff’s attention (because everyone else waiting was trying to also), so I left. A disappointing experience, which was a shame, because the food I did receive (hot Mexicana wrap) was excellent.

New wraps on the pita bread menu are really 10/10! Everything looked super neat despite it being always busy. Delicious!

Sand in my romaine lettuce. Can't eat the whole salad. Was take-away so unfortunately I can't return it. Very bad.

It would be best to announce when ordering that ingredients are missing, not in the middle of designing the salad. Furthermore, it's a bit unusual to ask customers to clear their cutlery themselves when the waitresses are hanging around.

Very variable quality. Helped several times by an employee who was not properly trained (portions far too small, missing ingredients, even forgot the sauce). For the high prices you pay for the salads, the quality of service is far too low.

Update: they really need to train their employees before they start. Today they gave me a salad which has half of the normal portions. This made me feel like a fool because I pay 15 euros for a simple salad, then at least I expect the ingredients to be there. Also copy pasting a prewritten text as a response does not mean a thing. The quality over time does not get better… Food is fine but their delivery is extremely slow. Considering they only put ready made ingredients into a bowl it is not easy to understand why.

Practically ate here every day. As much as I tried to order something new and different at every visit, I kept craving the Oh! Gado Gado. This bowl is just absolutely incredible. The coconut peanut dressing is really the star of the show! First stop next time I'm back in Amsterdam.

Full of fruit flies. I regularly come here with pleasure, but today the whole place was absolutely full of fruit flies, so I had to take the dishwashing bin full of food down because the staff did nothing about it. I ended up leaving early because I didn't feel like having to keep swatting away flies during a good conversation. Please speak to the staff about keeping the place clean, this is very harmful to SLA's good reputation.

Tasty and fresh food. The hair salon is great, unfortunately the veggie stew had little taste. Good hummus, but the bread was rock hard so I put it in the oven for a while. Great brownie. Service is friendly and fast.

Fast service with delicious veggie stew that was a spring special (vegan). I recommend adding the chilis and coriander on top. Their other items can all be customized to become vegan by replacing ingredients.

Great vegetarian options here! However food is served in bowl which has cracks, at least this happened with me, so make sure you check the bowl before the chef/server prepares the bowl.

I feel invigorated. This is a lovely place to eat. No we are not vegan but we just eat well from time to time and here is one of those places that stands out.

I am extremely disappointed by the careless staff who made the salad today. I was here twice. My first experience, which was two weeks ago was great. The salad was great, and the ingredients were of high quality. Based on my first experience, I went to have a salad again today. I ordered a spicy tofurama, and half of the ingredients on the menu were not on the salad. There was no avacado, no peanuts, and a host of other ingredients were also missing. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I took it to the table to eat. On top of this, the lady billed me EUR 29 by mistake. I fortunately checked it, and a more experienced staff came to assist me. It is sad that a good place with good ingredients has such terrible, careless and inexperienced staff. I ended up not eating the entire salad. I will not return to this location again.

Been here many times for takeaway and food is always consistent! Sometimes ingredients are sold out but it gets substituted nicely with other veggies. Definitely a must visit!

Smaakvol slaatje gegeten in een mooi decor. Extra pluspunt voor mij is de rustige sfeer, geen muziek. Even batterijen opladen voor weer verder te gaan met het ontdekken van de stad. Enige minpunt: niet alle ingrediënten waren er en de tafeltjes waren niet helemaal schoon.

Nothing special about the service of atmosphere, friendly. However the food lacking. For a veggie only place it just lacks imagination. The middle eastern style wrap and kapsalon wrap where near indistinguishable. The falafel was quite dry and flavorless. If the food would have contained any kind of spice, salt or had some warm elements it would have likely helped. The banana rama smoothy was very very faint and barely tasted like banana nor mango. The homemade icetea was also quite weak. Sorry to say, quite disappointed.

The food is good, although, some things could be made fresh instead of being picked up from a tray (like the falafel). You order the food and drinks and pick them up from the counter. The inside looks nice and tasteful. Overall a nice experience.

Vriendelijk personeel! Tahini brownie is een aanrader. Tenminste, als de bovenkant niet aangebrand is. Soms is dat helaas wel zo en dat verpest de smaak. Is hij goed gebakken, dan is hij enorm lekker en echt aan te raden!

The staff here is extremely friendly and always have good recommendations when you don’t know what to pick. The place gets packed, but they still take time to serve each customer with care. If you are looking for a fast, vegan meal, I definitely recommend this place.

Medewerkers letten niet op en vergeten ingrediënten die je wel hebt besteld. De porties zijn ontzettend karig. Al met al overpriced en te wisselend van kwaliteit. Echt jammer want het concept is leuk.

Personeel was aardig, maar ze gaan snel door naar de volgende persoon; ik was met mijn vriendin aan het bestellen, zij bestelde eerst en toen ging het personeel meteen verder naar de volgende persoon terwijl ik ook wilde bestellen dus ik moest langer wachten. Ook jammer dat je niet contant kan betalen. En het is natuurlijk fijn dat alles gezond en vers is, maar ik moet toegeven dat het best wel prijzig is. Ohja ik raad de homemade icetea niet aan was niet heel lekker.

Unfortunately, they recently changed their design and menu and for the worse: less expensive ingredients like diverse veggies but more grease and more tourist-pleasing fast food, it is not healthy anymore and disgusting now. Needless to say they also upped the already high prices. No service whatsoever, you are even aggressively nudged to do their dishes for 15Euro a 'salad'. No more free flavoured water. Even the banana bread is a disappointment.

Can’t decide whether the smoothies or the service were worse. I don’t mind when servers aren’t friendly. We’re not friends - it’s a business transaction. I just wish we didn’t have to wait 10 minutes to get our two smoothies while being the only ones there. The smoothies themselves were room temperature and absolutely terrible. After putting them in the fridge at home they were probably still the worst smoothies I’ve ever had. At least they were small. Two stars for it being pretty hygienic I guess
