The overall experience was good and full of flavorful, quality products. It's worth noting that it was a shame to wait an hour for a few toasts and only half-satisfied scrambled eggs due to the wait, but they made up for it with the quality of the service.

Can get extremely busy, resulting in long waits.

The food and coffee were delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and everything was beautifully and aesthetically decorated. The service was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back for breakfast!

Fantastic little place in the Pijp. Delicious food and very friendly staff. It was our second time there, but it was just as good as the first time (this summer). Our four-legged friend was also welcome inside. Highly recommended!

Nice atmosphere with French music, and that's about it. The portions of everything are small. The €6.50 orange juice comes in a pitcher smaller than the glass itself. The €15 shakshuka is small, with some crunchy bits in the middle, chickpeas, and a lot of olive oil floating on top – things I'd never seen before in a dish like that. IF YOU CAN'T EAT GLUTEN, DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. In the year 2025, with the number of people intolerant to gluten, they didn't even bother to have a gluten-free, commercially produced bread for those cases. I ate my shakshuka like it was soup. Everything was lit by candlelight inside; I thought it was to create a feeling of comfort, but now I imagine it's to save money. In short, a typical place to feel chic, eat little, and pay a lot. Some people like it; it was packed. I don't recommend it, especially to Brazilians accustomed to good food (although they play bossa nova in French there).

outstanding experience. quick and friendly service, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time, the crispy poached egg sandwich with kimchi really hit the spot today! perfect stop after the van Gogh museum and before heading to the train station.

It was Ok nothing spectacular but the coffee was excellent

Truly amazing. Came on a Sunday around 12 to grab brunch. We had to wait in line for around 20 min before getting seated so I would recommend to not come at rush hour as the wait had to be in the cold. There were tables available outside, some heating system has been implemented in the terrace but it still felt pretty cold. We were lucky enough to get a table inside where the atmosphere was amazing ! I got a carbonara œuf : scrambled eggs with guanciale inside a soft and crunchy brioche, topped with a lot of cheese… Yum!!! My friend got the truffle omelet which was also delicious !! I truly recommend this place

We were lucky to avoid the long weekend line. It was pretty packed, but the shakshuka and burger were worth it—and the juices were good!

The place is cute but smelled like urine which was very off. Food was a bit cold (esp the bread) Chicken bagel definitely did not meet expectation (no bagel, frozen guac, small chicken bites) Omelette was okay- There are nicer brunch places in the area. Would pass this one.

I tried the Oeuf Norwegian and the shakshuka, and both dishes were noticeably different from the usual versions you find elsewhere. Everything is cooked fresh to order, so expect around a half-hour cooking time, but it is worth the wait. The flavours are clean and well balanced, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. A lovely spot overall, especially if you are visiting Amsterdam and want something a bit special for breakfast or brunch.

Terrible food, we had three different types of food, waited 30 minutes + for basic food like eggs, burger etc, we were super hungry, still was very difficult to finish the food. Rose wine was tasting like apple cider. Taste are differ, As I can see a lot of fascinated reviews which misleaded me to eat here today. Girls waitresses were nice

We have seen several videos about Ouef and decided to visit them on our Amsterdam visit. First we have been waited for a table 10-15 minutes in a rainy weekday. We ordered Turkish egg (Cilbir) and Egg Benedict. Waiter didn't ask about how eggs to be done. Both were cooked as medium where we prefer runny. I believe this place is overrated by influencers on social media.

Normally, love it everytime! We come here many times. It is like a safe space brunch place to us! However, not sure because it was more crowded due to ADE events and everybody decided to brunch late or something, the general attitude was very dissappointing from one staff member. We waited to be seated. There are places inside, and outside. İnside is much smaller but we were willing to wait as long as it took as it was cold. The staff showed us a a table outdoor and we Said we wanted to wait and quite dismissively he said this is the only option. We were hesitant because I know normally they offer to wait longer for the inside and there were many people waiting who might have wanted to take the seat outside. Then, the family behind us asked if they have a place inside to other staff member and he said, nothing at the moment and it might take longer but they can wait which was completely a different response than no this your only option. In the end, we decided not to eat there. Frustrating because we regularly go here and no need to be rude or dismissive to customers as long as we are respectful and kind and which we felt we have nothing wrong to warrant the attitude. Hopefully something to be improved.

come early, the line can be long towards 11. our server was so nice and I wanted gluten free options and suggested other dishes than the one I was going to order. and even said I could chose what I wanted in my omelet. much more helpful than other servers that know it is not the best choice for your needs but put in the order anyways.

How can I tell you what happened to me here! I came for brunch, I told the waiter I had a train, he didn't place my order and he left me waiting 45 minutes and even I tried again twice he didn't place my order, as a result I waited in the cold for 45 minutes where everyone who came after me was served and not me.... How can I tell you these people to absolutely avoid, what kind of human are they? Clearly not the usual human species

We had a very disappointing experience at Oeuf tonight. We ordered two steak béarnaise for 24.50€ each and one portion of fries to share, when the steaks arrived we were surprised to see how small they were and as soon as we started eating we also noticed that they were quite cold. But what stood out the most was that one of them consisted mostly of muscle tissue and was impossible to chew and sometimes even cut. When we told the waitress, she did offer to get the kitchen to make a new one but because we had tickets to a show, we couldn’t stay any longer. When half the unchewable meat was still on the plate when we asked for the bill, we were offered to not pay for the fries as an apology - but to be honest, we still left quite frustrated about having paid 24.50€ for a cold, already quite small, piece of meat that was only enjoyable for half its size. Wouldn’t recommend (at least not the steak béarnaise).

This hidden gem brunch spot was down a cute side street in central/southern Amsterdam city. Food was beautifully presented, staff were really friendly and definitely worth a stop.

Very disappointing experience. The manager was extremely rude from the moment we arrived. He didn’t bother cleaning the tables before resetting them, just put new cutlery straight on top without wiping them down, which is unacceptable. We ordered toast with butter and jam. He brought a tiny spoon of jam, and when we asked for a bit more, he took the plate away and came back saying they had run out. A few minutes later, he returned with store-bought jam, pretending it was their “homemade” one. The toast wasn’t even toasted, and we had to wait nearly an hour for that extra jam. The food was not homemade at all, the tomato sauce in the shakshuka tasted straight out of a jar. Overall, rude service, poor food quality, and questionable hygiene. Probably the worst brunch I’ve had in Amsterdam.

Plates look so good but tastes are not same

We went on a Saturday morning around 11 and we could easily find a spot to sit outside. There was outdoor heating as well so we could take our jackets off. We got the eggs benedict and shakshuka and liked both of them! Eggs benedict comes with two poached eggs and crumpets. If you are very hungry I suggest getting another smaller extra dish to share. It was a really nice location too, we preferred sitting outside because the inside was a bit crammed.

I was here on Sunday. We waited but were sitted shortly. We waited for a long time to be served after ordering (cca 30min) and the meal was cold. They apologized. Girls working there are very nice but maybe they need more people to serve/cook?

Ambiance and food were OK. Our server was either hungover or pissed at the world. Couldn't make eye contact, was surly and curt, no greeting or smile, set our coffee on the table so hard it spilled. No apology either. The cook making our orders was talking and laughing non stop on his phone throughout. Not necessarily a bad thing but he wasn't wearing a mask or mouth guard so it was unsettling to imagine all that spittle on our food. Might have been an off kilter day for the team but will still not return even though I love the egg concept and menu.

We went there for breakfast. Most the dishes on the menu were made with poached eggs. But since I dont eat poached eggs I asked for scrambled instead and they kindly changed it. Thank you!

The food was vert mediocre, same Benedict and omlettes you can get elsewhere in Amsterdam cafes. Service was very good and friendly, however food being served very slow and very late. 2 omlettes, 2 coffees and tea costed us 42 euro.

In the shakshuka there were grains of buckwheat or some other raw grain that could break teeth.

the coffee is really very tasty! but the wait is very long!!!!!!!!! be prepared to wait for your drink for 15-20 minutes. it is very annoying. and the seating is not full.

I went on a Sunday, and I really wanted some eggs for breakfast, and this was one of the spots I found on Google Maps. There was, I think, a wait time of 10 to 15 minutes. There's a lot of outdoor seating options, but it's also super crowded. The menu seems great. There is a lot of interesting stuff. I had some egg dish with kimchi in it. It was interesting, but I don't know if it was worth the wait. My drink arrived way later than my food. I don't think the service was that great; the wait time was due to nobody looking at the line to seat us even though there were enough tables for everyone. The meal itself was good, but it was cold when it arrived, so I don't know. And the outside tables are just way too crammed that I’m in the middle of other people’s conversations. Still, good food, though.

The food was globally good. The shashuka was a bit disappointing with overcooked eggs… sad as it’s the main concept. The crispy chicken bagel was delicious though. The portions are very small for the price, and the service not really warm, and we got a bit let down by a tourists treatment…

A cozy and atmospheric breakfast spot with a good menu and a lovely setting. We chose the Croque Madame and the Eggs Benedict, accompanied by a glass of fresh fruit juice. The dishes were good, although we weren't as impressed with the bread on the Croque—it was reminiscent of industrial American bread, which somewhat diminished the flavor. The fruit juice also seemed watered down, which is a shame for a fresh breakfast. Nevertheless, the friendly service and charming location made up for a lot. A nice place to start the day, although there's still room for improvement here and there.

Long waiting time for mediocre food

At Oeuf in Amsterdam, we ordered beers, and the Oedipus stood out - slightly fruity, slightly spicy. The sides: Holtkamp bitterballen, fried croquettes, crispy on the outside but unfortunately frozen on the inside.

Went to this cafe at 11:00am, all tables set outside and was told they weren’t ready for service and to come back in 15-20 mins. Everything online + their menu says open at 10:00am but was no problem. Left and came back at 11:30am to be rudely told they would need another 45 + mins to put drinks in the fridge and that nothing was cold. Was quite looking forward to eating here, not sure what happened this morning but was spoken to extremely rudely for just trying to eat at this cafe during open times. Went somewhere else and had a great meal.

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, Oeuf is perfect spot for brunch! Really nice flavours!!! (we had the fried poached egg with avocado and kimchi and homemade lemonade) 💯

Listen, the service was more like a 3 but you just can’t hold Europe to the USA standard I got the mushroom kimchi avocado toast. It was good! Didn’t knock my socks off but good. Beverages were good. Wifey said her food was good too but wished they had gluten free bread. Also not America so eh idk can’t hold to that standard either

We waited in line for over 30 minutes despite multiple empty tables being available. The staff completely ignored the situation — they didn’t communicate anything, and when we asked questions, they simply didn’t respond. We were with a child, and the long wait in these conditions made them feel unwell. We’re extremely disappointed with the service and the overall unprofessional behavior of the staff. Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Went here Tuesday morning, the streets super quiet, birds singing, the girl who received us was THE loveliest. Had eggs Benedict (the Norwegian ones), French toast, the mixed press juice, coffee. Everything was great. 10/10 would definitely come back.

I was pleasantly surprised that we could still get a spot on a Sunday morning, because there is often a line here. We got a spot inside and were helped quickly. The coffee and food were very tasty. The omelette with ricotta and chili oil had just the right balance between creamy and spicy and the French toast was not too sweet. Would love to come back to try something else. Nice that you get candy in the shape of an egg with the bill (just like the salt and pepper shakers) and quite well priced for this location.

The place is a bit small and cozy, but it's located in a quiet area close to the Van Gogh Museum if you're planning to visit.
