Yes, then it's better to say outright that the food tasted like it had been reheated, rather than assume it was. Humanity will survive this major edit. It's convenient that on the second floor you can order everything online. The prices are reasonable, around €15 per dish. However, the food itself was disappointing. It was served very quickly, and it tasted like it had simply been reheated rather than freshly prepared. I asked if the dish was spicy, but it turned out to be very spicy. Overall, it just wasn't tasty.

Stepped in to check the place on the way to hotel. I like Korean grill concept and sauces. I asked for a beer and personnel was nice and helpful. The Asian descent owner or manager came along and reprimanded the waiter - that “only drinks” are not allowed. There whee plenty of tables and happy customers. Rude manager, while asked “what is the problem” - said “Noting”. Place clearly states - “& Bar” in the name. Food looked good though

Wow what a place!!! This was incredible, so much to pick from and so easy to order. Yes a few of our items were missed however it was a blessing as we did order loads 🤣 we tried new dishes and learning to use chopsticks was entertaining in itself. Service was 100% and they even checked on you to make sure you was ok. Never waited for than a few minutes for the food. You could order up to 8 items every 8 minutes which was really good. Also them 8 minutes went really quickly

Price vs. quality not in proportion. It wasn't bad, but a bit pricey. Service was reasonable.

Food was super fast and their Korean BBQ is great. They have good cuts and marinations. Some interesting variations of other snacks are included. They were also very non judgemental on the amount of meat we ordered and that made us feel welcome, as we ordered a lot. For the price it was more than worth it.

Food and concept for the all you can eat was fantastic and represents good value for the experience! Great variety of small plates and a maximum of 32 plates over two hours was more than we could handle for a family of four. Roughly half price for kids depending on age. Superb view from the first floor. Chap greeting you and our server wasn't particularly friendly, the table behind us had a friendly server however... So not consistent, but did take the shine off the experience. We paid for two rounds of drinks but denied tap water at the end of our meal, fair enough!

A wide selection of foods for everyone. The meats were well marinated and everything we had was delicious. The service was prompt and kind. Our hostess double checked with the chefs that seafood are prepared separately from other meats as both of us have shellfish allergies. We greatly appreciate this as we left without incident.

Was my first Time eatin Korean BBQ and Gaja is a really great Spot! The Location is really Nice! You have a great View on the Water! The Food was really good! You have a big Variation of different Meat and other Korean Dishes! The Mango Ice at the End was really yummy too!❤️ The Waiters were all so nice and friendly! Would definitly come here again!

The atmosphere was lovely, and the meat was absolutely delicious. The prices were fair and definitely reasonable for the quality. To top it all off, the Yuzu ice cream was absolutely amazing. I would definitely come back!

The food was okay. We were 10 people and placed an order of 10 samjang sauce or whatever for dipping the bbq. But why put 10 all in one bowl??? I don't understand are they lazy or what's wrong with the staffs?

Absolutely shocking customer service. I invited my family here because they were visiting Amsterdam, but we walked out before ordering. My 6-year-old niece was happy to pay the regular child price. My other niece had just turned 4, weighs only 13 kg, and eats almost nothing except rice. We politely asked if she could order à la carte or if they could make a small exception. The answer was a flat no—they insisted on charging the full €22 for a child who would literally only eat a bowl of rice. This has nothing to do with policy anymore; it’s pure greed and a complete lack of common sense or customer care. Not family-friendly, not accommodating, and clearly more interested in squeezing every euro out of customers than creating a good experience. We immediately left and took our business elsewhere. I would never recommend this place to families, and certainly not to anyone who values good service.

The place is really nice but the problem is with the service , the manager is unfortunately so rude and unprofessional at all He didnt explain well the rules of the restaurant and his way was so aggressive Food was good but unfortunately will never come back to this place again after being treated this way They are not honest at all

They don’t serve what we ordered

The whole experience was frustrating and felt set up to ensure you do not order enough food. As a table of five at no point did we have enough food to keep us going. The ordering system consistently blocks you from ordering, and the portions they bring out are absolutely miniscule (three bites of chicken, or two lettuce cups). And to boot, the meat tastes really poor and cheap. We weren't even being greedy! We felt very rushed out at the end as if they're encouraging us to stop eating. We ended up paying €240 for five of us (with ice teas). Not worth it at all

we are a big group and they rushing to clean up your table that they took my food even I'm not done eating. feels like rushing us to leave and food is not worth it for 41 euros very expensive and u need to pay extra the one scoop of ice cream if you order double for yourself bec the rule is one ice cream per person? it’s supposed to be unlimited right? putting tricks to make you pay more

We were 10 people at one table😞 1 person 4 menu, so you have to order the 40 menu at once. When the order arrived, it was a messy affair; they don't remember who ordered it. My order is from across the table, so they like it, and we have to wait 8 minutes before it can be ordered again. The beef skewers (too salty) and the chicken katsu were no longer good (also smelled a bit).

A really nice Korean BBQ place. The location is very central and the restaurant has many tables and a lot of space. Once the whole party was gathered, we were informed on how to order and only then did they start our time. I liked how you could order as many rounds as you wish and everyone could add on what they wanted through their own phone. They have quite a variety of things so there is plenty to try. All the meat and veggies tasted fresh. They also come by and change the grill throughout our time there. The portions aren't big so it gives you the opportunity to find what suits your taste the best since some things were a hit-or-miss. 05.2026

Cozy place and nice location, the food is fine, but certainly not fantastic, and everything is quite salty. Personally, I don't mind that, but drinks are just typical Amsterdam prices and a bottle of water costs almost €10?? I think it's very sneaky to make water ridiculously expensive and then make the food so salty, because you end up spending an extra €15-25 per person on water.

Really lovely waitstaff and a fun experience cooking our own meat on the grill. Everything was fresh and tasty and the cuts of meat used excellent quality.

Amazing experience...A bomb of flavours, ribeye is just next level... you can eat it alone! Such comfort from the cheesy corn❤️ Finishing your bites with grape soju will blow your mind. 10/10 P.s. It's better to get there a bit earlier if it's a busy day for the best and quickest service.

The waiter, the only man working, was the only one who was truly friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not provide gloves for peeling shrimp. Quality meat and vegetables. Lots of choice. Drinks were not mega overpriced at all and easy to order.

I was here yesterday with a few colleagues, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was top-notch! Both the BBQ meat, the fried dishes, the sushi, the soups, etc. The staff was also super chill, good vibe, and a beautiful view over the water and the PH quay across the way. Definitely worth a repeat visit! 🫡

The WORST Korean bbq restaurant I have ever been to. The meat is such poor quality and has no seasoning or marinate. Everything on the menu is such low quality and bland. When it came time to pay the waitress did not let us split the bill considering we were a small group of 3. This was super inconvenient. She kept saying this is policy, we did not face this issue in any other restaurant, so this was very odd.

Eight of us went to Korean BBQ for the first time. It was definitely an experience. The service was very attentive and explained everything well in English. The quality of the raw meat, which was grilled at the table, was rather poor. I personally found the prepared dishes better. The location is lovely, very close to the water.

Went to GAJA Korean BBQ for lunch with family. Friendly staff and served quickly. Ordering was possible via a QR code. For the BBQ itself, I personally felt they didn't have that much choice, but they did have many pre-prepared side dishes to choose from. Wide selection of drinks. Unfortunately, the dessert consisted mainly of ice cream. It was tasty though. We found the food itself delicious in terms of taste, spices, and the quantity served.

Disappointing experience at this so-called Korean BBQ—I went in hoping for authenticity, but it's Chinese-owned and run. The kimchi was past its prime, dishes didn't taste Korean at all, and the vibe's overly pretentious. Staff were lovely and attentive, though! Owners, on the other hand, felt stingy—like they limit orders to just four items, which is ridiculous when you're starving for ten. Would I go back? Nah, save your cash for something genuine.

The quality of food has degraded since 6 months ago!

A great find for an all-you-can-eat Korean buffet. You can order food using your phone. The soju was very good. Unfortunately, no free water is available. Only bottled water costs €7.50. A shame… but it doesn't detract from the overall restaurant experience.

NOT an authentic Korean BBQ restaurant. There are a lot of wrong things with this restaurant: the meat cut is too thin, the kimchi is not fresh & the serving is too little — most likely it’s store-bought kimchi, the lettuce is not properly selected for wrapping — often too small to be used as wrapping, the marinate for the short rib is off, garlics are cut too thin — should be thicker for Korean BBQ, ssamjang tastes like ordinary BBQ sauce, banchans take space of the normal round — they should be possible to be ordered outside of the normal round just like drinks, and many other things. Overall, I don’t recommend this restaurant.

The food is good and high quality for the most part (skip the seaweed salad it is mostly mayonnaise). I could tell the white fish had not been frozen. I don’t love all you can eat because it feels like customers are cattle being herded and this definitely has that vibe, but if you like all you can eat you will enjoy this. The servers are very busy and don’t even stop by long enough for you to ask for something. They also ‘don’t have’ tap water which I know is common in NL but is a business practice I detest and will always call out.

Worst Korean Food i've ever had! I love korean food and have tried a lot of different Restaurants in Europa and Korea, this was really the worst of all. We went there for lunch, but didnt do Korean BBQ. The quality of the food was just SO bad, on the top of everything was lot of cheese, not very korean in my eyes. The portions were VERY small also. Very expenisve for bad quality. On top of it all, the lady in service wasn't very friendly. All in all, please don't go there, there a much better korean Restaurants in Amsterdam.

Food poisoned for the first time in my life. Did not cook my own meat so it was prepared in the kitchen. Enjoyed the time there, but can never go back.

Everything was great until then end. We had been there for just over an hour and were finishing up when we noticed the lady being very edgy. They removed plated of food and drink before we were finished and were told there were people waiting for our table and told to leave. We still had food and drinks. I felt like a sheep being headed out. Very bad hospitality. Clearly time is money to them and service takes a back seat. Sad as I really enjoy the place, but they will not see us again.

The quality of the food and services is no longer satisfactory. The kimchi, sauces, and side dishes do not meet the standard of Korean cuisine. The price is going up and up while the food quality and its services are going down and down.

Four of us went to dinner at 8:00 PM. We expected it to be very lively, but it wasn't. The employees had depressed expressions; they didn't seem to enjoy working there. I think you should enjoy going to work, but that wasn't the case here. We also found the owner very commanding; she was yelling very loudly at a young man. The food was okay, very greasy, and everything tasted the same. The table was dirty when we arrived; we noticed a few oil stains on it. We found Doreen very friendly; she made us feel at ease. We do not recommend this restaurant. 💋

Great place for an authentic Korean bbq. The menu is very extensive and I love it that you can also order from the sushi and grill menu when you do the bbq. The meat is really good quality and well marinated. Great place to go with your friends or colleagues. I would skip it for date night.

They don't have much choice on the menu. Much of it was "out of stock," and there were few non-alcoholic Korean drinks. Although the atmosphere and staff were friendly, I would personally go to another Korean BBQ restaurant if you're expecting a lot of choices (this wasn't my first Korean restaurant), but this one felt disappointing to me.

The food was delicious, good meat, excellent other dishes, lots of choices, but ordering on your own phone was a bit less fun, especially in a group where you'd really like everyone to leave their phones behind.

Best KBBQ in town!! Ive been to almost all and this place has by far the best meat. If you care about meat quality, then you should just go here. Works super efficiently, love the cocktail choices and in general a great evening out. P.S Massive shoutout to Angelina, she’s super sweet and makes you feel super welcome❤️❤️
