The service was terrible. Three of us arrived and nobody greeted us after waiting 10 minutes in front of the door. Then it took a while to get our order, and we had to ask repeatedly for some stuff that they forgot to bring. At the end, we wanted to order dessert, but they told us the kitchen was closed, even though we were sitting upstairs and nobody had come to check on us after finishing or main course, so we had to no clue about their closing times. Overall, the prices that they charge for are too high and don’t justify this sloppy service offered.

I don’t often eat vegetarian/vegan food, but I couldn’t believe how delicious the food was. Honestly the best meal I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Love the interior too. The menu changes regularly so be quick!

A really nice place with delicious coffee (also takeaway!) and creative dishes. It's also great that they have a proper breakfast menu. I come here weekly!

A place in the best traditions of minimalism, focused on its audience. Attentive and non-intrusive service. A small creative menu that they update periodically. Great food with original and fresh flavors. You should go here if you are interested in something other than the classic breakfast with bacon or avocado toast. A large selection of Asian teas with several excellent varieties on the menu, I was pleasantly surprised.

I come here almost every weekend and have never left without a full and nutrified feeling, the chef is a real talent using many lovely and delicate flavor combinations. The drinks are served with care and the servers are super sweet and nice. I especially recommend the rösti as it crispy and has a great salad next to it 👌

The brioche with scrambled eggs is a must have! With a cup of Hojicha, and my day is set.

Visited a few times over the years, but it never convinces me. Nice place, ok food, but expensive. The waitress has an unfriendly and almost hostile attitude, which makes it uncomfortable. The wait was long last visit, while it was not busy. Not recommended for me.

🪑 setting - Oficina calls itself a canteen and the setting reflects that. Minimalistic and leaning more towards cold than cozy, but with a hip vibe. Downstairs a number of large tables where you sit together just like in the school canteen, upstairs a funny round bar with somewhat uncomfortable stools. Not a place to dine extensively; more like in the company canteen a quick bite and then continue. 🧑‍🍳 service - nothing to complain about; attentive and fast, without further personal attention. 🥗 the food - I really like the menu here, because it is creative. There are things on it that you don't see elsewhere. The menu is quite small but I think that's a good sign. Everything free of meat and fish. The food itself was tasty: original flavors and well-prepared dishes, but in quite small portions compared to the price you pay for it. 🍹 the drinks - they specialize in Asian tea with some nice varieties on the menu. The hojicha was aromatic and tasty. 🌱 dietary requirements - everything vegetarian or vegan. 🚽 facilities - two small toilets, looked fine and with nice hand soap. 💰 value for money - given the small portions I tend to say "no" although the food is nice. Because I didn't find the place very inviting to sit for a longer time I think it's a lot of money for a quick lunch.

Used to enjoy this place a lot but recent experiences been poor. Staff can barely greet you and just points at the bar where you can sit in a corner with no service. Food is boring, something you can make at home, and overpriced. Also the plate was full of oily fingerprints. Interior is nice but for food and matcha, Amsterdam got wayyy better places.

Unfortunately rather underwhelming

A very unpleasant dining experience — the food took too long to arrive, and when it was time to pay, the server entered an amount higher than what was listed on the menu. When I pointed it out, the server simply said, "That's strange," without offering any apology. I wonder if this place regularly tries to cheat its customers like this.

I was quite disappointed with the service quality. The staff was very condescending and irritating for no reason. The food was good, but overall it was a very bad experience—which is a pity, I used to like this place a lot. It seems like there is discrimination against Asians, whether it's a specific female employee or the boss. Even while I was ordering, I was talking to someone else, and I put all my dishes away without even asking if I had finished eating. Above all, the food was not tasty. Just don't come... Most Korean brunch cafes are better.

Pretty overpriced and the dishes are too simple for the price. The french toast was 17€ for a piece of toast with two sauces. The waitress was nice and so was the interior but I wouldn't come back.

Oficina is a cool concept but having this be my very first visit I was really disappointed. The staff was not friendly from the moment my partner and I walked in. Like they were a group of friends and it was our fault for interrupted their conversation. We went upstairs and were waiting for a good while before my partner went down to order for us. The staff sent him back up telling him they will come to us. Again our first time here. After we order we tried to enjoy ourselves but the space just felt awkward after all the rude interactions. After being served I was half way through my matcha latte before finding a blond hair mixed with the drink (my partner and I are brunette). Such a disappointment considering the cafes reputation but it’s more pretentious than I thought.

The food is great—if you ever manage to get it. The kitchen and service are SO slow, and it’s only gotten worse over the past year. Today’s pop-up (pizza and special pastries) was a disaster imo. Waiting over an hour for a single pizza with zero updates on the order status is absurd. When I asked, I was told “5 more minutes”—but 20 minutes later, it still wasn’t ready. I just cancelled the order and left. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Very nice layout and service was good, a range of inspired teas, food was flavoursome but for what is actually plated it feels quite expensive and represents poor value, even with Amsterdam prices in mind. Left still hungry and hoping for better in the future.

The staff was dismissive and unfriendly. When I tried ordering a mint tea, the server reacted as if I was speaking chinese. On top of that, we waited over an hour for our food (just some simple pancakes). While the food was tasty, the portions were small and overpriced. Just felt like yet another pretentious hipster spot. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Our visit to Oficina was a bit disappointing. The staff didn’t feel very welcoming, and one team member in particular seemed noticeably unfriendly, which dampened the mood. We also had to wait over an hour for our food, which was frustrating. While the dishes tasted good, the portions were quite small given the price, which made it feel a little underwhelming. The interior itself is nice but feels very similar to other trendy spots in Amsterdam nothing particularly unique.

Wauwauwauw!!! My new favorite spot in Amsterdam. The design, the atmosphere, the aesthetic are astonishing. I LOVED the matcha cookie. Unfortunately I could not get to trying the dishes but I will certainly be back!! They change their menu regularly which I loooove. The only downside is that it’s a bit expensive but that’s to be expected of such a great place <33

I have lived in Amsterdam for four years. It was the most uncomfortable I’ve felt in a restaurant in Amsterdam as a POC woman. The brown hair server that worked at noon on the 2nd Nov was outright rude and racist. She frowned when interacting with me, and made unnecessary, grumpy comments when I talked to her. Meanwhile, she treated other customers, including my white friend, with a markedly different manner. My friend noticed this disparity before me and found it shocking. I worked in service before so I know how easy it is to treat everyone equally and with respect, it was an insane experience. I had intended to address her directly to understand the motive behind her actions, but she was unavailable by the time I was ready to speak with her. I urge you to ensure that all employees receive training on inclusivity and respectful service.

One of my favorite brunch spots in Amsterdam. Without the typical brunch place menu of eggs benedict, avocado toast or pancakes. Very tasty and creative/unique food. On top of that the vibe is quite nice and easy going.

Food was good, place looks nice. Service could be significantly better. Because we were upstairs it was also difficult to contact service and unfortunately our drinks only came after we had finished eating. Service also came across as unmotivated. Shame!

Perhaps one of the most «fav places» in the city Great food Different menu every time..depending on the seasons or the chefs who cook there. Polite and intelligent service. Away from the crowds of tourists.

The location is minimal and modern. The food offer (vegetarian) is very original and you can see there is a research behind, even though from the very enthusiastic reviews we were expecting that something more that unfortunately was missing. Service is not so careful and prices are quite high even for Amsterdam. Recommended? N/Y

when the daily canteen isn't a canteen then you've got a problem gone awry rotting like exproprioceptive expat vomit all busied and sliced by promised lands and scheduled whittlings down to the marrow mowed and flowncrossed with signal i emit this force too to take time and time and take time and smother it with lacerating projections and whiplashed synpase you've got a problem when the daily canteen takes reservations and the clientele don't sag at the cheekbone aren't worn by the heat nor the sun nor the tiny plastic the words daily canteen warm and dirty but here it's clean and people don't stay take a break— stared screen and back to silence and quiet work in the experimental kitchen like they know something sorry i can't stay i have to go to my next thing make work about the next thing but i'll see you in two weeks

We really loved scrambled egg with miso I am Korean and unfortunately I couldn't find anything special about the dish of the week which was cold noodle with kimchi this week But in general we really fell in love with this cafe. Also interior design is great! Highly recommend

Aesthetically pleasing canteen-style eatery with friendly staff. They offer a range of special dishes and great selection of tea.

I came to this brunch place multiple times and each time I’ve come the quality has gotten worse and worse. I remember the first time I came here the food was exceptional and the prices matched the quality. However, the next few visits the food became less enjoyable and more expensive. The service is also quite poor and the staff aren’t welcoming and act dismissive. (I once literally asked what type of cheese was in a dish and she just said “um… like normal cheese”??) My last visit I ordered the scrambled eggs on brioche and it was so disappointing that I could’ve made better food at home. The dish was even missing the radicchio and instead they replaced it with some wilted soggy lettuce. Their drinks are decent but nothing special and way too overpriced. The space and interior is nice and aesthetic but I wouldn’t waste my time and money coming here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to neither.

I sat here on a Sunday afternoon in July and ordered horchata and a slice of cake. Both delicious, the owners lovely and friendly and the aesthetics were on point. Really liked the vibe here and will soon return for their dinner specials or brunch/lunch to fully experience everything.

Quite disappointed by this place that I wanted to visit for such a long time. The food was okay, even though one of our dish was clearly missing some seasoning and tomatoes (when looking at pictures of other people and their socials it clearly shows), we mentioned it to the waitress but she didn’t seem to care much. I found the food really overpriced, for 2 mains + 1 side + 2 matcha drinks, we paid about 30€ each and were still very hungry afterwards. Desserts were not available anymore unfortunately. The waitress was not very nice with the clients and made a mistake by adding 15€ of wine to our bill (which she kindly repaired when we got back later). I do love the idea of minimalist dishes, but my opinion is that it should still be filling enough and when priced that high I would expect it to be made/served with warmth and expertise.

I’m not really a brunch type of person but this place was incredible. Atmosphere is chill, modern and cozy. Staff were very friendly, and service was good. The food was fantastic, we ordered the scrambled eggs on toast, which were top tier (fluffy and creamy) and shared the asparagus (amazing) and a rhubarb crepe (also amazing). Could be considered pricey but you’re paying for high quality ingredients and fresh produce. Highly recommend.

Food was good and I really enjoyed your place. But I was upset. When I check out, service staff who is middle eastern woman pressed 15% tip button by herself. She never ask me about tip. I checked my receipt. I thought price was high. That's why I went to Oficina again and ask about it. she just made an excuse. She said I pressed the button. What? I never paid tip in Europe. If customer is not aware of the situation, your boss will be happy. Because of earning money. I hope your boss doesn't want this situation Never do like that anymore Customers are not idiot Thanks

A simple modern cantina-style cafe with seasonal dishes that change monthly. The dishes are always creative and incorporate elegant ingredients. The flavors of the food at Oficina are simple yet sophisticated and you can tell the ingredients they use are fresh and of good quality. The staff are super nice too. Don't miss out on their large selection of teas and coffee! The matcha and hojicha lattes are particularly exceptional and of the highest quality. The place is a bit pricey but I believe you get what you pay for.

If you are familiar with the “typical” Amsterdam way of gently overcharging while delivering little under the pretense of stylishness and creativity this place won’t shock you. If anything it will be a yet another slightly too pretentious while also somehow slightly too bland (they will call it minimalistic and paired down) brunch place. Want to sit on an uncomfortable stool for a good half hour looking at the white walls and the concrete floor while waiting for your drink to be served? In that time you can ponder why they couldn’t simply fit a more comfortable designer chair for you to sit on in this ample (for Amsterdam standards) dining space. Once your food arrives you will be served by someone just-polite-enough-but-yet-still-indifferent and will be left to marvel at the close-to-20-EUR dish that fits into a medium sized artisan handcrafted one of a kind plate. Which will in all honestly be fine. It will have all the Amsterdam must haves - green oil, something pickled, and maybe even 2-3 leaves of a gorgeous looking salad. And you will sip your orange wine / organic cider / matcha and dive in looking for a reason to like it all. And I’m sure you’ll find it at the end. Because this potato pancake with fennel salad and a boiled egg is definitely way above your average “cliché” brunch (which might also involve potatoes and eggs but hey who are we to judge). Bring your posh aunt who’s gonna pick up the bill, or that friend of yours who keeps saying “understated is key” - they will tell you about all of the nuances you’ve missed. In all honesty the food is fine so if you are not looking for a feel good brunch place but more of a fashionable hangout spot - this one is for you. And maybe I didn’t get the “vibe” cause l left a bit hungry and disappointed. So don’t take my word for it.

I expected way more. Pricey food and drinks - 22 (!) EUR for a plate of gnocchi and extra charge for a tiny bit of plant milk with the filter coffee (they don‘t have regular milk and cappuccino is not served either). Very minimalistic, almost cold interior. Coffee mug design was like out of a German hospital. Service was not the friendliest. And even though the room was half-empty, the staff kept moving the extra chairs away from us signaling us to put our stuff elsewhere. The EC card reader has a tip display to shame you into tipping (for what, though?) Butter cookie was OK, but truly nothing special, you can get similar ones at every Albert Heijn. Seems to me like yet another hyped place that could use a reality check.

There is only one sort of coffee available. 5€ for a simple filter coffee. The so called cake for 16€ is not a cake! Taste is okay. We waited an hour to get a table and food. Service is friendly. Wouldn’t go there again though.

I would say the worst brunch experience I've ever had. First we had to wait around 1 hour for them to let us know when the table is ready, but nobody took us even though there were tables available. There was only filter coffee on the menu and I can easily say that was the worst filter coffee for a 4,5 EUR, though they gave it from the freshly brewed batch. Now I want to say something about the oatmeal apple something cake, which turned out to be a horrible one layer pancake with zero taste and consistency and 3 sad grapefruit slices on top. The syrup (!) by the side was another disappointment (brown sugar paste swimming in butter). I am a not a good cook myself, but even I can make 5 times better than that. Horrible horrible taste and satisfaction for 16 EUR for one layer pancakey thingy. We made our points when we were leaving, and they didn't charge us on the coffees though. Overall, no way coming back to this place. Afterwards we had to go somewhere else to have a proper coffee and food :(

The most flavorful food I ever ate in Amsterdam. While the friendly staff, hip interior design that is very unique and elegant were highlights already, hands down the reason you must check out Oficina is the food. I only experienced 2 dishes from one of the editions of their menu but they were out of this world. Restaurant in the Netherlands tend to be very tame in flavor but the cooks at Oficina didn’t hold back. The dishes were not spicy, just packed full of flavor. Spices and combinations of ingredients that made the dishes a whole experience. The only reason I didn’t order more is because the portion was very generous and made me full. You have to check out Oficina, my new favorite in Amsterdam, and if you like Matcha tea, theirs is amazing too!

Beste ontbijt/lunch van Amsterdam. Alles wordt met zoveel liefde en goede producten gemaakt dat t elke keer weer moeilijk kiezen is met het wisselende menu. De mensen in de service zijn lief, weten waar ze het over hebben en helpen goed als je vragen hebt (over wijn).

Visited this place on a sunday and had to wait a little to be seated but the staff were so nice, i enjoyed the food so much wiped my plate clean, had the soft scrambled eggs over the brioche with miso on the side and it was very creamy and the brioche was very fitting! I’m n love with the place the atmosphere and the food!

Gorgeous interior design and presentation coupled with mindblowingly tasty recipes. We’re visiting the city and went to have some breakfast, and we ordered the truly incredible apricot pancakes with maple-tahini butter and genmai, and the tarte of the day; figs! With a couple of delicious ice matcha lattes we couldn’t have started our day better. We see that the menu keeps changing every month, I can’t wait to come back to Amsterdam and try what the Oficina girls come up with as it’s truly a delicious experience! PS: The menu design is beautifully designed!

This place has amazing and authentic matcha. They are served in these giant ceramic cups. For brunch, they have this kimchi pasta that is to die for. I was skeptical about the flavors when I read the menu, but when I ate it, I wanted to order a second portion. I would come back just to eat this dish again.

The servers were great, but the food was small portions for a high price. The taste was also mediocre for me.

Customer service needs more lessons on how to treat a customer. Tired, bored and lazy waitress gasped at our request to split the bill and said “Jesus christ” (because it takes so much effort!). The food was good, but towards the end we felt rushed by the staff to leave. Won't come again

I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at this amazing spot, and I have to say, I absolutely loved it. The flavours and combinations were absolutely amazing, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. One thing that really stood out to me about this restaurant was the simplicity of the menu. They only offer four options for breakfast and three for lunch, which is a refreshing change from the overwhelming menus that you often see at other restaurants. I was also thrilled to learn that the menu changes every month, so there's always something new and exciting to try. But what really stole the show for me was the tea. It's clear that tea is their specialty, and I can't recommend their matcha latte enough. It was so good that I went back for a second one! In addition to the amazing food and drinks, the atmosphere of the restaurant was also really nice. It had a modern vibe with a Japanese touch, and I felt right at home as soon as I walked in the door. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and a great atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!

Very cute bar restaurant in De Baarjes. The service was very attentive and the food great. One of the owners is from the Basque Country in Spain so they have good basque wines within their menu. Also their dish menu changes every now and then so you won’t get bored of it. Perfect for a date or just a nice relaxing coffee on a weekday. Will definitely come back and try other things. Heads up!
