Great snack bar with very friendly owner!

Today I picked up something here with my boyfriend. We were practically greeted by the owner at the door! What a sweet and hospitable man. It felt like a Michelin-starred restaurant. He told us almost the whole story about the snack bar and how proud he is. What a lovely experience 😊

A very friendly owner who sells delicious, high-quality snacks. The lamb shawarma is definitely recommended!

Ordered four chicken wraps (€7) and two fries. Unfortunately, we received four shawarma wraps (with too much sambal), a mediocre fries with ketchup, and a special (with ketchup). Both fries were billed as "war" (€4). The receipt showed the "chicken wraps" as €8.50. The man behind the bar (who made it clear upon arrival that he wasn't looking forward to us) pointed out that we'd ordered extra cheese. We ended up getting a €2 discount (because he knew it was wrong). It felt very unpleasant and I would never go back there… :-(

Just paid 19 euros for 2 shawarma sandwiches, which cost 8.50 each. An average group of 3 students can calculate from this that you pay too much (2 euros too much), not knowing how mediocre the shawarma was that you ordered (pita too hot, shawarma just warmed up). The snack bar owner played a fool, but did give a euro back. Says enough.

Great people working here. The food is exactly what you expect of a snackbar. Deliciously fried traditional Dutch snacks.

This is the place to go for the freshest and tastiest bear snack in Amsterdam. Achmed makes it fresh with onion and pepper 🐻🫑🧅🥜. Always good with Aggie!

Ahmed was absolutely fantastic, the best snack shop experience we’ve ever had. What a friendly and thoughtful business owner. We had the doner kebab and fries and it was so delicious. His fries really are the best in Amsterdam! It was such a joy to have a quick snack there, Achmed made us feel really welcome. I recommend for a good kebab and good vibes.

Used to be a very nice snack bar, nowadays bad bakers, bad service, bad products.... The owner is lazy, leaves all amateurs in the kitchen... I've been coming there for 20 years and now I have to pay extra because I want to pay for fries.... I'm not coming back.... Except for a pack of cigarettes.....

Below average food with above average prices. Ordered kapsalon and there was berely any meat in there. Not many options for salads as well, no pickles, shredded cabbage, jalapenos or anything that requires even a bit of creativity. It is reasonably good spot for late night emergency snack.

Lekker patatjes, eigenaar maakt het feest compleet. Haal hier al vier jaar friet. Altijd prima tot perfect. Recommend!

Aggie is een hele aardige en eerlijke man. Ik kom al jaren.

Ondermaats eten en bovenmaatse prijzen. Patat was donker, te zout en melig. Satésaus was klonterig en donker (oud en opgewarmd?). Falafel was niet lekker en erg weinig! Turkse pizza was okay. De zaak heeft een goedkope uitstraling, tv staat aan, en is vies. Volgende keer fietsen wij toch nog even door.

Normale snackbar, zoals er erg veel zijn. Wel lekker, maar best prijzig voor wat je krijgt.

Na een lange dag achter de rug, heeft Aggie nog steeds een glimlach op z’n gezicht. Lekkerste kapsalon die ik heb gegeten.

I really love this place. The food is quick and affordable, so convenient and tasty. I'm obsessed with the fries for some reason but the done and chicken burger are our favorite too! Try the milkshakes, so delicious!
