Whether you've been partying or not, the staff is ready to assist you. They're warm and welcoming, ready for a friendly chat while they prepare a divine meal at a good price. This is the best place to grab a bite before heading home; you're guaranteed to end your evening on a high note. This place will have a special place in your heart.

By far the most disgusting snack/low-grade doner shop in Leiden.

I have ordered from many döner restaurants in Leiden, but Downtown and Kebab Plus are the best. Snackbar Downtown is often, if not always, open at night, which is perfect for me during night shifts. Although they state that delivery time is 40-60 minutes, the food is usually at the door within 15 minutes. The Turkish pizza with meat and cheese is recommended, and the fries are also delicious.

What a bad thing, the delivery time would be 40-50 minutes, we are almost 2 hours later and nothing has been delivered. When I try to call, the line is either "busy" or there is simply no answer. I have been trying to get in touch for half an hour without success. I will never order here again.

Ordered food last night after a vacation and we were hungry. The food was never delivered, we called multiple times and then they either didn't answer or the line was busy. Never again!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition, the food was quick and the Turkish pizza dönor is recommended

This is the first time I write a bad review. Last night after going out I ordered food here and one of the employees was extremely disrespectful. He laughed at me and made inappropriate comments about my appearance right to my face. I am a member of a student association with 18 people - they lost 18 customers at this place, and probably more. This behavior is unacceptable and I will definitely not recommend this restaurant. Have some respect for your customers - they are the ones who pay your salary.

What a balls tent. Just ordered food, nothing neatly delivered. Delivery person was antisocial!! In addition, my Turkish pizza almost fell apart when it was still in the packaging. Bitterballen were flat. Tried calling 3 times, no answer. By the way, Turkish pizza was only a quarter filled with meat while you pay 10 euros for it. These are huge scammers!!!

Poor service in dealing with customers on call

I’m giving a 1-star review because my experience was extremely disappointing. I placed an order through Uber Eats but received nothing. When I called the restaurant, the first person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. The second person I spoke to was polite but told me to contact Uber Eats directly. By the time I tried, it was too late to resolve the issue, and I was left without my food after waiting for so long. This level of service is unacceptable.

Dirty place with even dirtier peanut sauce

If you ordered 1 large fries, you get half a box of fries. Ordered 1x bowl of sambal, you get a bowl of chili sauce, order only arrived 2 hours later after calling twice! Waste of your money

The people that also wanted a Turkse slurf were very nice, but the staff didn’t give meat. Still thankful for the TS but disappointed that there was no meat. Trouwens Snackbar Downtown is not even downtown.

Ordered food yesterday. Unfortunately, 1 product was out of stock, so we chose something else instead. Once we received the order, it turned out that we had received something twice that we had not ordered and the food that we had ordered twice was not included. Contacted us and they would still deliver the correct order to us, but unfortunately no order so no food and payment was made :(

Just thought I would place an order because there was a national supermarket pin failure. Order was placed late at night, close to midnight. After waiting 2 hours for the order, it was canceled fifteen minutes before closing time. I have not yet received a refund because they later changed it to Delivered. .

I ordered for 25 euros and couldn't pick it up because the car broke down that day. When I was allowed to cycle there, they laughed and I got nothing in return. sucks. for stupid and hungry drug addicts

Fortunately, I still had to build a shed, which is why this rock-hard nasi disk had another purpose. Hello, your satay sauce, it's really GOAT and now I haven't eaten it for a few weeks and suddenly the satay sauce is very different and kind of sour???? The satay sauce that you had had for years was really soooo delicious. Bring it backkk :(((

Ordered at night, never received food

It is the only place where you can get food during the night for the rest the food is pretty bad it is also way to expensive

Best pita kaas in town, I am professional pita kaas tester in Leiden and I promise you this is the best one you can get (after 2 a.m.) I hope this information will help you so you can (just like me) end your night with this amazing pita kaas.

We ordered fries, they arrived cold and 2 Turkish pizzas without vegetables and without sambal and what we got were two Turkish pizzas with sambal, so I now have to eat it. It's nice that they read the order carefully because I had added it, we won't order anymore.

Ordered two simple snacks. Took 2 hours before it finally arrived cold. If you go by, the food after a night of partying is fine, but their ordering service is terrible.

Food arrived quickly and hot by a friendly delivery person. We had a chicken burger and a Turkish pizza, highly recommended!

Was predicted 20 minutes. After almost 2 hours of nothing, I called and sure enough, it leaves in six minutes. And it was a 5 minute drive for them, it would have been better to walk to another business. Kapsalons moderately filled and the fries very tasteless and dry. Never again.

I have ordered regularly and it has always been fine, but tonight something really went wrong. The food was cold, a bowl of onions is simply charged 2 euros and then not delivered. Only to find out that there is no way to contact them... on their website, only the address is listed under contact. Phone number according to home delivered and Google does nothing or is never answered. This way it's the last time for me.

Ik heb afgelopen donderdag 19 broodjes(!) kroket besteld bij de Downtown. Ik en mijn kompanen zaten heugelijk te wachten op een goed krokant broodje, maar eenmaal bij bezorging kom ik erachter dat ik enkel kroketten geleverd heb gekregen met maar drie mosterd pakketjes. Wij kregen twee bakken met zompige kroketten geleverd die in verscheidene staten van ontbinding moesten worden gegeten. Alhoewel het enorm grappig was om een “kroket kapsalon” (zoals we het zijn gaan noemen) te zien was dit natuurlijk niet de bedoeling. Ik waardeer de broodjes döner laat in de avond maar dit was zeker geen goede ervaring. Mocht iemand, net als wij, een obscene hoeveelheid aan broodjes kroket willen kopen dan zou ik aanraden dit ergens anders te doen. Voor de rest een goede zaak.

Ik kan naar mijn weten zeggen dat ik hier al 3 jaar kom. Downtown voelt als thuiskomen. Zelf ben ik lid van SIB (Schuin tegenover Downtown). Ik heb hier altijd lekker gegeten en zal dit establishment aan iedere Leidse student aanraden. Al met al een geweldige zaak!

Door wintertijd was mijn TB bestelling niet aangekomen. Gebeld en nieuwe bestelling doorgegeven. Duurde even (begrijpelijk), maar ik kreeg wel lekker vers eten!

Ik heb zojuist besteld anderhalf uur geleden. Ik heb al betaald maar er is precies niks gekomen. Belachelijk. Bestelling zou 2:50 aankomen.

Nadat ik had aangegeven dat ik haast had was dit geen probleem bij het personeel. Binnen 3 min had ik mijn bestelling.

Dit was het lekkerste pita broodje wat ik ooit heb gegeten! Geen idee of ze het deeg zelf maken maar het smaakte zo vers. Ook was de pita rijkelijk belegd/gevuld met de toppings. De patat was nog flink warm na bezorging.

Bestelling zou om 2 uur aankomen. Inmiddels 02.40 en nog steeds niks… Niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Altijd lekker om even langs Downtown te gaan na een avondje stappen. Broodje gyros is zeker aan te raden.

Prima eten. Krijgt een melkunie "milkshake" bekertje van 0.89 cent als je een milkshake van 3,50 besteld. Dat is bijzonder teleurstellend.

hele snotterige oude vieze sla en heb 1 tomaat gezien, de duner zelf is veelste klein kan beter een lepel gebruiken in plaats van een vork, over het algemeen super vies. de kipcorn was wel lekker van smaak maar geen shoarma bestellen daar.

Echt een topzaak! Het eten is vers en enorm lekker! Personeel zijn toppers ik bestel al te graag me eten bij downtown. Zowel bezorgen als afhalen een dikke 10! Voor de zaak personeel en het eten!

Had een patat oorlog en een cheeseburger besteld, heb de verkeerde patat gekregen en er zat geen cheeseburger bij. Heb ze gebeld en de medewerker deed erg brutaal en hij was ervan overtuigd dat ik loog. Heb uiteindelijk met tegenzin een nieuwe gekregen. Niet hier bestellen.

It's a good late night snackbar to get your cravings out. Cheap, solid portions, friendly staff. All the bad reviews are from delivery so just go pick it up yourself :)

De lekkerste/beste kwaliteit snacks die ik ooit voor een lage prijs gehad heb en vriendelijk personeel. Als je een snelle hap nodig hebt in de breestraat is dit de place to be

De ene keer krijg je prima eten en de andere keer vergeten ze de knoflooksaus op je eten. 50-50 kan je wel zeggen 🤣

Ik weet oprecht niet meer dat ik hier was maar het boeit me te weinig daarvoor.

Redelijke tent, niet veel te klagen behalve dat de patat bij me grote kapsalon wat minder was. Voor de rest erg fijn dat ik om twee uur 's nachts nog steeds kan bestellen.

Hele goede zaak, magnifiek, fabuleus, verdient een michelien ster.

Oké t duurde circa 50 minuten vanaf bestellen, maar de bezorger was aardig. Hier is mijn review: Friet: top! Krokant en vers, raspatat zoals t hoort ( vind ik dan hè;) Pindasaus was ruk.. te waterig, meer spice aan geven, aandacht en hij groeit! Pita broodje vega: pita broodje was lekker, de rest ook wel, maar voor dat geld ( €4 of zoiets) vind ik t echt te karig.( kaas en sla) Maak n pita broodje groente kroket, met meer komkommer en/of tomaat.. super eenvoudige aanvulling en de klanten blijven terugkomen. Ik ben vega met M’n girls en er zijn zoveel alternatieven voor Vlees en variaties. Groenkroket: niks mis mee! Het eten was lekker warm!! Super! Ik ga zeker volgende keer bestellen, maccie is wel sneller met bezorgen en je weet wat je krijgt, maar als alternatief is deze snackbar wel oké. Het kan een topper worden!
