Snackbar-Eethuisje "De Noodstop" in Geuzenveld

I'd often driven past this place and heard about it, but never considered eating there. Recently, a distant acquaintance (one of the previous owners) suggested I try it sometime. The question of whether the meat snacks were halal or whether the vegetarian snacks were fried in a separate fryer made this distant acquaintance chuckle. The space is small. There were a few tables. What I found unacceptable was that one table was full, and there was a dog underneath. The dog was well-behaved, but it smelled bad because of the rain, and you could smell it. There were utensils on the back table. So, I sat at the table where the previous user's plastic container and can of drink still sat. Extensive meat menu, hardly any vegetarian snacks. I soon noticed that all the snacks were fried in one fryer. The fries were in a separate fryer. The woman was very friendly. Her (probably) son also helped out and had to fry. He fried the fries perfectly! Nice and hot and crispy. Nothing to complain about. One downside was that you don't get much sauce. And onion. But that's the case almost everywhere. The pistachio milkshake was undrinkable, with little pistachio flavor. The amount of sauce and the milkshake itself was quite small. A lot of small children also came because there were also a lot of candy and ice cream for sale. They had to wait and then wrestle with each other in the small shop. A place you should try if you're in the area. For Noodstop: make sure the fries stay cooked properly.

Food is tasty, reasonably priced, comes quickly. Owners are both friendly and happy to chat with you while you wait, as well as letting you make modifications to your order so you get exactly the food you want. Come try the pistachio milkshake!

The food is standard what you would expect from a snack bar

Far too few fries for a fries without for €4.50. Really a shame

Imagine ordering/picking up your food here. Walked in late at night with a bad heavy rain shower and asked politely and modestly if I could use the toilet (as a woman this was necessary). Here a female owner was standing behind the counter who responded greedily with an unfriendly attitude with “paid”. The toilet costs (if I am to believe her) 1 euro. Well, you don't want to be found dead there: dirty broken toilet, door doesn't lock, no decent and clean sink with soap and towel/paper. Snack bar looks RAUNCY, the kitchen was visible: everything open and exposed and super messy. I would like to give a tip: if you want to charge 1 euro for a toilet, make your toilet and the quality of the snack bar really worth the 1 euro. This was not worth a cent.

Tasty Hamburgers and lots of variety. Nice lady behind the counter. Very good to have such a hamburger joint in Geuzenveld. Prices are also reasonable.

Ordered a hamburger menu here, together with a loose bag of fries next to it. Strange, fries from the menu are much less. Too bad, because it is tasty, I must admit. But then the hamburger, I normally wouldn't complain about it, because I try hamburgers everywhere at the moment. It's either tasty or not. But this was really a joke. More like a köfte sandwich, without flavor or sauce I assume, and a burger that doesn't even take up half of the bun. Photo says enough. Please do something about it or stop selling it.

Friendly and hospitable as a snack bar should be, order ice cream from the machine. I don't like the freezer ice cream.

de eigenaar is aardig . toen ik thuis was , was de patat koud en hard was erg weinig , het is niet eens genoeg voor een kat en het is ook nog erg duur. ik raad deze snackbar niet aan.

Altijd goede service. Altijd lekker eten en hij checkt Altijd ook even na voordat hij het eten meegeeft.

Héérlijke Snack heel goed eten en drinken

Wij vinden de patat van noodstop super lekker. En de eigenaar heel aardig. Wat wel jammer is dat er elke keer staat dat het om 13:00 open gaat het is al 3x gebeurd dat ik voor niets erheen ben gegaan. Op Google staat die dan open maar die man gaat open wanneer hij wilt de ene keer was die open om 14:45 en de andere x was die tegen 16:00 open. Er is geen vaste openingstijen dat is echt heel jammer want je loopt elke keer voor Jan lul daar heen

Goed en lekker eten. Patatje oorlog is een aanrader.

The fella who runs this canteen is an absolute charmer. His English was impeccable. Better than mine in fact. He was cracking jokes a plenty. And the food wasn't bad either. In fact it was rather delish.
