Fantastic cart, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They're very helpful and friendly to customers. If you have a bad experience, either your expectations are too high or you're rude yourself. This cart is ideal at Polderbaan, and if you need something fast, you'll have to go somewhere else.

You can eat fries and drink coffee here while watching planes take off... nice and honest

I've been coming here for years, but the owner is a typical example of a crude, rude Dutchman. From the moment it gets a bit busy, he doesn't have the place under control; you have to place your order five times only to still get the wrong thing. He talks until we are barely audible, even though he is as clumsy as a pig's backside. The quality isn't nearly what it used to be either; you could bash someone's head in with those schnitzels.

Had a tasty meal. Good snacks and fries. Had a good laugh with the owner! Nice airplane cards for the kids. A lovely place to watch airplanes.

I bought fries, and I think they generally sell better than what I got. Hard, small pieces, probably the last bits from the pan, and clearly fried twice. It seems like a pretty lucrative stand, where they make a decent amount of money, but you wouldn't serve this to a customer. I did pay €4 for it, though.

Went plane spotting at Polderbaan for the first time in years, and it worked up an appetite. Really delicious fries for a very reasonable price! Friendly people at the snack cart, great atmosphere, and definitely worth going again 👍🏻🙂

Enjoying fries with the grandchildren is a lovely place, and the service is friendly. The price and quality of the food are excellent, and what a treat to be able to get fries after an afternoon of plane spotting.

Always a pleasant atmosphere. Always delicious, and always time for a chat. It's a regular spot after a visit to Haarlem to enjoy a delicious bamischijf sandwich with satay sauce and a cone of fries with mayo, and to do some plane spotting.

I went yesterday, but my rating didn't go higher than a 5. The croquette was a bit soft and too dark, and the fries were too hard and dark. The oil should have been changed already. They were also very unfriendly, and they even ordered beforehand and were only there for a minute. P.S. A different fryer than the one shown in the video. But this message will probably be deleted in a minute; luckily the internet is full of them.

We come from Enschede several times to spot planes, and it's always nice to stop for some fries or a snack. Always delicious 😉😉

An additional EUR 0.25 is charged when electronic payments are less than EUR 5.00 total. Most people pay by debit card/credit card/phone these days. So, fries with mayonnaise should be priced at EUR 3.75 instead of EUR 3.50. The fries were good quality, I think the oil was clean, but they were fried so hard that half of them were impossible to pierce with a fork. Then I saw a man fumbling with a frikandel (a Dutch sausage) and a frying fork. And, instead of the diesel generator, I think Schiphol/the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer could provide a power supply in 2025, just like the market vendors do, since the spotting area is permanent. Hence only a 3* (otherwise I would rate it 4* - 4.5*).

The fries were fried more than once and were black, and fried with very old oil, filled with fried oil. Absolutely disgusting. You feel like you're eating stones.

We come here a few times a year for the planes, but also for the food! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Definitely recommended if you're here!

During the summer and Christmas holidays, one of the outings with the kids is a visit to the polderbaan. Fries and snacks from the snack cart are a must! A small, friendly snack bar by the plane spotter parking lot with nice service. The fries were good, but not quite as good as in Amsterdam city center – hence 9 out of 10 points. Perfect if you get hungry while watching planes; parking is free and the snack bar is just a few meters away.

Fries were average. Made from deep frozen fries and a bit dark and glossy, a sign that an oil change is due. Service was friendly. Prices are slightly above average. I would not go here for the culinary experience, but for a quick bite whilst plane spotting this place makes a decent snack.

Snack bar de Polderbaan has earned 6 stars. We ordered for 2 adults and 5 children. 7 people fries 6 frikadellen 6 croquettes 2 hogweed peanut for 48 euros. And that in a spotter's spot.

Delicious bags (or containers) of fries and snacks. Friendly people in the cart, always smiling and cheerful. Also keep the environment clean. Definitely recommended if you are near the polder track.

Doordat het personeel niet aardig is en brutaal is sla ik altijd over met een patatje. Eten kan best lekker zijn daar maar ik wens niet zo behandelt te worden. Mij zien ze daar niet. Vreselijke mensen.

Lekkere tatjes en snacks terwijl je vogels ziet stijgen en landen

Geen ambachtelijke friet en de sauzen smaken nergens naar. Friet van Aviko was niet warm.

Zeer lekkere frieten (patat) zelfs beter dan in de meeste belgische frituurs! En leuk uitzicht tijdens het eten.

Lekker patatje met een snack , Pa en Zoon zijn hartstikke vriendelijk niks mis mee altijd ff een praatje . Zegt weleens met een gekke bek , heeft je vrouw de portomonnee weer leeg geroofd als ik wil pinnen . En bij een kopje koffie heb je misschien contant zie daar geen kwaad in het kopke koffie kost jezelf 25 ct meer en hun zitten er ook niet op te wachten . pin transacties koste hun ook geld , maar ze maken er nooit een drama van en al helemaal niet onvriendelijk het is altijd met een stukje humor . je hoeft niet beledigd te zijn .

Altijd gezellig en gefascineerd naar de landende of vertrekkende vliegtuigen te kijken. Intussen een snack scoren bij de snackwagen.

Ik kom voor de vliegtuigen maar ook voor de patat nergens zo lekker als daar. Heerlijk patatje pindasaus met een berenklauw ook erg lekker daar.

Ik ben altijd tevreden klant, ook goed klantcontact mee, bakken altijd goed patat, nooit problemen mee ondervonden, hebben heerlijke producten

Ik heb met verbazing de reacties van sommige gelezen en herken hierin niet de patatkar waar ik al jaren kom! Ik ga geregeld met mijn zoon naar deze spottersplek en ook al jaren halen we hier lekkere patat, snacks en koude dranken. Het vet is niet oud, waardoor de patat lekker en mooi goudbruin is. En niet onbelangrijk "de prijs is goed". En met enige regelmaat krijgt mijn zoon, die overigens gehandicapt is, een mooie kaart met een afbeelding van een vliegtuig erop! Gewoon leuk! Vandaar mijn 5 sterren en blijf gewoon lekker doorbakken! Tot gauw maar weer ;-)

Ik begrijp sommige reviews niet, mijn vrouw en ik hebben hier vaak gewoon patat/friet besteld beide heren zijn gewoon vriendelijk en aardig, zo aardig zelfs dat ze 5 minuten na sluitingstijd toch opnieuw even voor ons opnieuw friet/patat wou gaan bakken. Schone snackcar, lekker eten en vooral mayo is van degelijk kwaliteit, proeft gewoon goed. Pinnen kan hier gewoon!

Goede Heerlijke Frites !! In al die jaren alleen maar normaal tot vriendelijk geholpen en niks geen rare dingen.. Pinnen kan gewoon ik snap niet waar die rare zaken vandaan komen, We rijden gewoon om voor hun heerlijk frites !!
