My husband and I were there on a Monday morning. We saw that they were putting really old fries in the grease. My husband asked if we could have fries from the other side (fresh fries), but that wasn't possible. The vendor was extremely rude and disgusting. The food was inedible. I never throw food away, but this was the first time.

As soon as I walked in, the guy looked at me with an inhospitable look... when I asked what he could sell me... he replied, "What's on the list?" So I asked if he wanted to sell me anything... he replied, "I don't care..." I left. The place is terrible.

Once, but never again. I've never had such hard, overcooked fries. I think I've fried them three times. 15 cents extra for card payments. If you're done with it and don't feel like it, quit and sell your business.

The fry cook is a filthy man! He coughs into his hands without washing them. Fries were returned because the good people had ordered unsalted. With his coughing hands, he took away the top layer of fries and threw some new ones on top. I ordered fries with peanut sauce (which was soup) and was given the ladies' fries. I refused them, and after some discussion, he fried new ones. The ladies' fries stayed in the fryer basket for the next one.

It's a shame you should read the reviews before you go anywhere. Unfortunately, I didn't do that at Snackhouse Aalsmeer today. The gentleman seemed disinterested; a "hello, what can I do for you?" was definitely out of the question. Then he shouted that the food was ready. And then he made strange remarks about it to the customers. What a jerk. You wonder how anyone ends up in the hospitality industry? Was the food at least good? In short: No. How can you screw up a deep fryer? Well, by frying it too long in fat that was probably a few weeks old; serving liquid peanut sauce; and serving the onions blackened with a snack. Luckily, I don't often visit this dreary part of the Aalsmeer industrial estate. If I were there again, I'd give this place a wide berth. Tip for the owner: 1) try to smile; 2) if that doesn't work, maybe you should think about quitting.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a pleasant experience with Snackhouse Aalsmeer. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly rude, the food tasted awful, and the furniture was dirty. I wouldn't recommend eating here to anyone. And to the gentleman behind the counter, do everyone a favor and go somewhere else.

Had no problems at all like many others here, the food was ready quickly, nice and hot and tasty, the prices are very reasonable for what you get and the guy behind the counter is just friendly!

I just ordered 2 sandwiches with croquettes and fries and wanted to pay he said yes disappointing I was like how come you don't have 20 euros in your pocket I was like no he was going to tell me a whole story if you treat all your customers like that you don't have much left he takes the food with his hands really disgusting I'm really never coming back there better close if I read this all the time never experienced anyone like that he treats his customers like that 🤮 it really is a no co company

What an unfriendly, grumpy owner... Who has absolutely no desire to work anymore... He's eating when I come in, so I say, "Enjoy your meal." He says, "That was the intention, yes..." (in other words, how dare you come here now?) I got fries that were already prepared in the container... not hot, limp, and greasy... Too bad, I used to come there for the super tasty fries with delicious herbs... But even the fries aren't good anymore. And the atmosphere is absolutely crap...

I get 2 fries mayo peanut, 1 cheese soufflé, and 1 Mexican peanut sandwich. They tell me 15 euros around I have to pay I just go to their site they ripped me off for 3 euros. Rats area

I want to write a piece anyway. I order a frikadel sandwich with mayonnaise. The guy says 3 euros. Then I take out my debit card and want to pay. He says "By debit card"? "Yes, by debit card," was my answer, to which I say: "I think paying by cash is going down a bit." The guy immediately responded: "Well, then I'll just charge more from now on." He immediately pressed 3.15 so I could go pay. Now I'm not going to make a fuss about 15 cents, so I left. But is that even allowed? I would have appreciated a bit of friendliness. Anyway, I came because I needed to eat something.

Cheeky guy, loud music, bad smell of old oil. I didn't know it was possible to mess up fries, but they're very good at it - they're like a hard-fried shell with no substance. Frikadel also disgusting hard fried rubbish. Man, go do something else with your life if you don't feel like people and cooking, right?

What a grumpy guy, never come here again! No desire to serve customers at all. Why do you start a business if you don't really feel like it?

We often have to go to Aalsmeer and then this snack bar is a regular. Super tasty crispy fries, I come to many snack bars or chip shops, this one is certainly in the top 5

Husband is grumpy and downright rude

Not exactly very friendly when you walk in, maybe bad day? I find the food, frikandel sandwich, very mediocre. The sandwich tastes dry and the mayo is pressed into a corner of the sandwich. The frikandel tastes like nothing. And if you want to pay by card, you have to take into account an extra 15 cents. It is not told directly, but you will see it written down on an A4 sheet of paper later. Once and never again. Very sorry!

We occasionally order fries for lunch at the office, the fries here are very tasty and crispy! Peanut sauce tastes intense.

The worst fries we have ever eaten. We were horrified! They were burnt and tasted like the fat hadn't been changed in ages. A skewer of chicken and onions was also in the deep fryer for too long. This is what happens when you prefer to chat with other guests rather than pay attention to the orders in the fryer. Recommendation: go somewhere else instead

Very unfriendly gentleman, does not feel like greeting the customer. Seems like he works reluctantly. Is busy with his tablet, and very unhygienic. Please find another fries place, fries war was inedible.

Besides the owner being a grumpy rude jerk, he also smokes behind his desk, where the ashtray is while he is preparing food. Wash your hands, nah. A funeral is even more fun than this tent, and the coffee and pastries will be tastier there too. If you just want to eat decently and be helped, drive past this filthy pigsty and go to the village.

Unsociable and very unkind man! I wouldn't come there a second time. The chip tray contains rock hard pieces at the bottom, mayonnaise is a cheap chip sauce. But especially the treatment is below par.

Tastiest fries in the region (really!!!)? But a jerk of an owner (also to his staff and that is not nice to hear)! he can't stop talking about the sale of his business, black money, complaining about debit cards, staff, high energy prices, etc. Friend: just stop and do something else. We are also entrepreneurs, but you always have a choice

A household name in Aalsmeer for 26 years, owner Jan is great, everything is possible.

Not edible, way below standard! Hygiene is hard to find... the gentleman touches everything, then doesn't wash his hands and picks up your food again with his bare hands. The gentleman does not exchange a word with his customers. So NEVER again for us! Everything 1 star, because unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars.

In terms of hygiene, this place should really be closed. It's really gross inside. The food is mediocre to bad. I suspected the meatball had been cooked for 3 days. So one bucket of snot. You have to think about the service yourself. Bah... I won't be coming here anymore.

Special tent, lots of workers, drivers and mechanics, the fries were delicious and blues music was played during this rainy day, the owner is just nice to himself and not exaggerated, that's just great. Keep it up

The fries were inedible, the cheese soufflé tasted as if it had first been soaked in the dishwater, I think the satay sauce came from the bottom of the pan, not to mention the hamburger was too rancid.

Satay was very dry and not much peanut sauce and that for 6 euros Fries were hard but the herbs were tasty.

Fries were well done and hot dog had curry instead of ketchup so not completely satisfied

I ate a pattat war at lunchtime and it was very busy with all the workers, auction truckers, etc Dad and daughter who run the business very adeptly today That girl was doing really well and still got a sneer from the owner because of some miscommunication about fries without herbs. Owner is not a friendly man, a rude farmer

Got fries. Tasted like it was fried in motor oil. The owner also looked like he just stepped out from under a motorcycle. Not to be eaten. Threw it away. Gave a second chance a few days later. I ordered a tartare sandwich with onions and an egg sandwich with mayo. Everything without pepper. Olieman puts everything on one sandwich. With pepper. "I didn't hear that." It's not surprising if you're constantly calling when you have customers. In short: dirty products, bad service, grumpy head. Never again.

Excellent products, good quality.

I regularly come here to get something, but what I ALWAYS take is a homemade minced meat ball (with mayo) that can be eaten immediately and ready-made while waiting for the rest of the order. I consider myself a meatball connoisseur and these are definitely worth a try.
